In the shower the water was freezing for the normal human being. Most people liked their shower steaming where as Holden did not. The only reason why he even bothered with showers was because it gave him some sense of being human again. Shampoo ran down his face and into his eyes, but it didn't burn them. With a towel he cleaned off his eyes and continued to scratch at his scalp. "Oh shut up, Nathaniel. I am not taking up all the time in here. You're just worried about the hot water that I don't even use," he laughed. He really did not know what he would do without his room mates Nathaniel Sommer and Raff. They were really something else, but Holden wouldn't change them at all. Those two were the best things that could have ever happened to him, besides his girlfriend Harmony Barrington. This school wouldn't have been the same without them by his side. Holden rinsed the shampoo out of his hair until it was clean of the liquid. Now to only dry off and get dressed.

Soon he was dried of and with his clothes on. In the mirror he looked at his reflection as he put a beanie on his head. Not feeling like messing with his hair he figured he would just cover it up. That was one way to solve a problem. Holden sat up and looked at himself in the mirror. This is as good as it is going to get, he thought to himself. He walked out of the bathroom and into the dormitory. "I'm just going to go out. Going to the kitchens then probably out for a walk a bit." He hit Nathaniel's butt with a towel as he walked by and put the towel into the dirty hamper bin so it could be washed. "Later, alligators. Wouldn't want to be ya!" Slowly he began walking down the steps to the common room for the Sournoises. His hands went into his pockets and he walked toward the portrait. Saying a couple of words the portrait opened and he walked into the Dungeons. It was so dark and melancholy down there, but it fit the atmosphere completely. I need to visit the catacombs again. Haven't been there in ages.

The walk to the Entrance Hall was short since Holden used his vampire-like abilities to get there. Within a flash he was walking by himself up the stairs in the Entrance Hall. From where he was the kitchens wasn't too far when walking at human speed. There was no rush so he was going to take his time. Holden wouldn't be meeting up with any of his friends until later. Until then he had all the time to himself. First he was going to go by the kitchens to get some blood to drink then he thought about going to the library to get a book. After that he would either go back up to the dormitory to read or the Room of Requirement. No footsteps were heard as he continued to walk up the steps to the second floor. There aren't that many people out today. Geez. I guess everyone went home for break. Mórrígan and Holden decided to stay home for this break since there wasn't a reason to really go home. Next break though they would be going home to their parents.

At the portrait to get into the kitchens the Masen tickled the pair and walked in. In the kitchens house elves weren't out as they usually were. Usually every time he came into the place there was a house elf or two. Well by now he should know where everything was placed since he had been here for more than a year already. It seemed like just last week he had been a first year and exploring the castle by himself. Who knew he would be able to stay at this school for as long as he did? Now that he had been here for so long he didn't see how he could ever leave it. This place was like a second home for him and he couldn't see himself not being here. Too many memories at this place that he would never forget as long as he lived. Holden pulled his hands out of his pockets and began looking in the fridgerator to see if he could find any Type O blood. It might be cold, but it would taste a lot better than nothing. They better have some. I really don't want to drink Type AB.

Waking rather early Julius took his time getting dressed while his pet mouse, Pam, ate her own breakfast. He sighed and dried his hair, "R-Ready f-for another d-day Pam?" he stuttered and cringed, oh how he hated that nervous stutter, people constantly teased him for it and he couldn't handle it. It wasn't something he could just stop whenever he wanted it to, it just... happened.

Closing his eyes as he dried his hair he can't help but smile, so far despite his nervous stutter and general avoidance of people, he is still making a couple friends somehow and even has his first real crush. This are looking up for him, or so he now believes, who'd have thought that he would end up here? Certainly not Julius himself. Shaking his head he smiled and grabbed his stuff before making his way down to the Rourie common rooms.

Looking around he found it pretty much empty for the moment, being so early this wasn't very un common, he discovered this rather quickly already, many of his house mates would stay up late catching up and stuff, so they ended up sleeping in. But now it was break, Julius secretly found this so much better, his only friends were also staying for break and there weren't as many people around so it was easier on his very sensitive nerves. He had requested for his mothers to let him stay this break so he could settle in better with less people around, they were a little upset but had decided to let him stay as they knew how shy and nervous he could be.

With Pam on his shoulder he made his way outside and headed down the halls towards the Entrance Hall. His stomach leading him as he had missed his dinner the night before, he was just finishing his recovery from a rather severe cold, it was rare for him to get sick, but when he did it really took him down.

Deciding to head to the kitchens he quietly climbed the stairs, a small smile on his face as he walked, it was amusing when he thought about it, his foot steps were so quiet even his few Vampire friends sometimes only heard him if they smelt him coming. This thought always made him smile.
He blinked in surprise as he found himself at the portrait to the kitchens and he quietly snuck in, seeing someone head first into the refrigerator he decided to let them be and got to work on his breakfast, the house elves were already used to him as he rarely ate with everyone else, another side of his nerves he found, but he always helped the house elves out when he could.

He noticed the house elves weren't around yet so he went to start in on make his breakfast, pancakes today he decided. Suddenly he had to stop, he needed milk and it was in the fridge, the fridge that the other boy was half in searching for something. Taking a breath he made his way over and gently tapped the other boys shoulder before he spoke, "E-Excuse me... M-May I please b-borrow the m-milk please..?"

Within a couple of minutes he could feel a heart beating closer and louder. There is probably someone coming down the hallway to come into the kitchens. Lovely. For once I could have this place to myself, but no. Why is it every time I want to be alone someone comes in? It's like this school knows I'm alone or something. Holden leaned against the door of the fridge as he continued trying to find the blood he wanted. So much easier to go outside and just go hunting myself. I would, but I'm wearing something half way decent. He put his left hand into his left pocket as his right arm kept the door open. As the heart beat continued to come louder his hands moved his hands into a fist as he tried to block out the sound. Right now he was extremely hungry and he wanted to get something in his system before he started loosing it. Then people would think he was a mad man on the loose. That would be very hard to explain to a staff at the school.

The portrait opened and the Sournois looked up to see another male, a small male. Holden shook his head gently at himself and went back to looking at the fridge. Soon he would have to close the door because he was letting all the cold air out which would ruin the food. He felt the other student walk behind him and heard him looking for some supplies. As the Sournois stood by the fridge he began making a purring sound with his mouth. It when your tongue went against the roof of your mouth and you began making it vibrate. Selena had to show him how to do it since he couldn't make the sound himself. Holden practiced and practiced until he could get it right. Might have taken him ages, but it was well worth it since now he did it all the time with no problem. His hand went to the back of his neck as he began to rub it out of boredom. Guess I'll stick with Type AB since I can't find what I want. Ugh. I have this flavor. Picking up the packet he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"E-Excuse me... M-May I please b-borrow the m-milk please..?"

"Well you can have the milk. If you borrow the milk that means you intend to bring it back. I really don't want milk from everyone else, but lucky for you I don't drink it. So yeah you can borrow the milk all you want to," he said raising and eyebrow. Holden grabbed the gallon of milk and sat it on the counter for the guy to use. He closed the fridge and picked up the blood packet from the counter. In the cabinet he pulled a glass out and closed the wooden cabinet again. The Sournois bit open the packet with his teeth and began pouring it into the glass. It was quite rude to drink it from the packet so he always put it in a glass. Holden began humming to himself as he waited for the glass to fill up with the cold red liquid. Would be much better if it was actually room temperature or something. Maybe I'll put it next to the fire to warm it up a bit. Might make it taste a lot better than when it is cold. Nothing is worse than cold blood. Well maybe not the worst thing.

Holden threw away the empty packet into the trash can and walked over toward the fireplace. The fire wasn't hot enough yet for it to make him feel sick. If he stayed over there for a long time he would start to feel sick and begin to feel like he was in a space too small for him. Holding the glass he held it over the fire a bit to warm it up. He couldn't do it too much or the glass would break. Then all the blood would go into the fire and that would make him very irritated. A sigh came from his lips and he pulled the glass away from the fire. Taking a sip he thought it tasted better than being cold. The Sournois walked over to the table and sat down. It was kind of awkward being in the same room with someone he didn't know. The silence was almost getting too much for him so he asked, "So... what house are you in?" At least it was something to ask than to keep the room so deadly quiet. Brown eyes looked over to the other student that he assumed was a first year.
