These terms are subject to change at our discretion and without warning.
1. Cussing is allowed... but nothing too vulgar guys. A good rule of thumb would be to go by what is in the HP books, with the exception of a certain word Molly said at the end of DH, that word is not allowed. Also do not denigrate people based on race, ethnicity, sexual preference or religion.
2. You must be over 13 years old. If you are under 13 please get parental permission. By signing up on this site you are verifying that you are either 13 or have your parental permission. (This is an actual Proboards rule.)
3. Please DO NOT steal any of our content, graphics or ideas.
4. Respect of all other users is a must. If you can not respect the users of Beauxbatons, then you will not stay here long. (Yes I expect arguing, etc... in RPing, all I'm saying is not to take it too far.)
5. The staff here works very hard to maintain this site so you should not argue with them and if you are asked to do something you should do so without question.
6. I want every person here to have a real name (First and Last). Nothing like SweetThang786, thats a no no. An example is my name, Olympe Maxime. If you don't have a real name you will not be enrolled here. You need a first and last name. Also I don't mind when you add things to your display name, but make sure its appropriate and isn't too long and stretching out the page.
7. Spamming the forums is strictly forbidden. Spamming consists of: posting absolute nonsense in many different threads just to see your name all over the page, PMing several users, asking them to RP or visit your website/profile and so on, and/or creating abundant amounts of identical threads.
8. We realize that not everyone's first language is English, but please try to keep the spelling and grammar errors to a minimum. It's extremely difficult trying to RP, when the writer has no sense of grammar whatsoever.
9. If you go inactive then you will be deleted at the end of the term, so make sure to stay active or lose your account.
10. Finally, you agree to follow our Rules of Roleplay (located here: RP Rules, Tips and Guidelines) and understand that if you can not, you have relinquished the right to use this site.
11. Please abide by the TOS rules on Proboards. If you don't, they can automatically shut down a board. So be careful of your content.

12. NO advertising your site through PMs! There is a board where you can advertise your site. You can not advertise anywhere else. If you do your IP will be BANNED.
13. Signatures must be no bigger than 500 x 400. This is because people with dial-up can not load a page when members have huge siggies and also because not everyone uses a big screen resolution. If your siggy is bigger than this it will be removed by a staff member. If staff has to keep removing your siggies then you will be warned and possibly lose using a siggy altogether. This also means for more than one siggy, if you have 2 siggys that is fine as long as together they are no bigger than 500 x 400.
14. We are no longer allowing students to use cannon names, this means first and last names when used together and last names period. We are ok with you using first names as long as it isn't with the last name as well (This includes the actors/actresses real names as well).

15. We no longer automatically make you a Bancaire Vault you must now go to your houses Vault, after you are sorted of course, and request one.

Rules pertaining to different characters
1. If your character is a student then you can only be a Prefect, Headboy/girl.
2. If your character is a Professor, then you can only be a Professor and Head of House.
3. If your character is a Shopkeeper then you can only be a Shopkeeper.
4. If you are a Nurse, Accountant, Groundskeeper, etc.. then you can only be that and nothing more.
Restrictions to characters
1. A member can not hold more than one staff character and one shopkeeper.
2. A member can not have more than 5 characters going at once. Which means if you have a Professor account and Shopkeeper account then you may have no more than 3 student accounts, etc..
3. Please remember that there are not a lot of positions available here so limit the number of positions you take, just to be respectful of other members.
*This is a rule for student characters. You should not be older than 17 or 18 depending on your own personal plot for your character. There isn't a student that would be older than that. If we find that you have your character older than that you will be asked to change it.*
