History:
Katerina was born on December 23rd at 3 in the morning to James and Eliana Marenda while they were on the run from relatives during the war. Katerina's family was very divided on the matter of who to follow, Dumbledore or Voldemort and the majority of them chose Voldemort. Katerina's father was killed soon after by his own brother with the killing curse. Although Katerina still had her mother, her mother was very distant due to the fact that Katerina looked so much like her father.

Eliana further began to isolate Katerina until she was 11 and then sent her off to Hogwarts where she proudly went into Gryffindor, even with the stigma of her family hanging over her shoulders and became fast friends with many of the members of her house. She was comforted though by the stories of recent graduate Sirius Black breaking away from his family name and forming his own path in life and found new hope.

Katerina rose through Hogwarts and was incredibly bright but a little loopy, causing many jokes and teasing to occur but she was OK with it and loved being there. Dumbledore became a father figure to her and she frequently stopped by and talked to him about her daily struggles and worries. He never was officially put as a guardian but he came over for Christmas and was treated like family.

Katerina was doing well in Hogwarts and was one of the top of her classes
and started looking for ways to be trained as a healer but those plans faded from her mind when she came home from Hogwarts for break to find her mother dead in the kitchen. She had been tortured to death by her cousin and her uncle for information about if she was going to join or not and she had refused.

Katerina was ushered over to France to her aunt and uncle, Nicole and Sebastian, to continue her education at Beauxbatons. Katerina wasn't thrilled about the move but she has forgotten that one of her good friends was put into Beauxbatons since they had lost touch after the move.

Characteristics/Personality of the character:
Katerina is a very strong and independent woman who is actually very insecure but rarely lets that show. She takes charge of situations that she knows she can and tries to keep herself in line but has been reprimanded in the past for letting her mouth run. Is highly sensitive and also highly empathetic. Great person to have on your side in a fight but can sometimes take things too far.

She likes reading, writing, drawing, singing, sleeping, talking to people she cares about, standing up for what she believes in, helping others and painting. She dislikes being treated like a child, hit on by perverts, abuse, being alone, feeling weak and not being right. Her bad habits are that she bites nails, gets defensive, can be slightly paranoid at times, has trouble holding her tongue and attracts the wrong type of attention. Her accent is odd since she has a background of German, Italian, British and French. She is also amazing at picking up new languages.

Sofia Kinsey is...well, different. People always think that her weirdness comes from her family, but it doesn't. Rather, she gets it from the nature. Her life had been mainly spent living outside, so she developed a strong bond to the animals and everything outdoors in general. Given, her fashion sense isn't exactly what other people approve of, but she doesn't care what they think. Sofia wears what she wants to, not wanting other people's approval. No one can tell her what to do.

She has a bit of a temper, however. When she gets angry, she will most likely do anything to get what she wants. Nobody wants to stand in her way, she would gladly start an argument with them. That's another reason why Sofia doesn't have many people she would call 'friends'. She usually scares them away after a very brief conversation.

When Jacob was young, his parent's weren't exactly the nicest people in the world. They looked down upon others, including the poor and mudbloods. personality/history:born to a rich family of wizards Adria has always gotten whatever she wanted and didn't mind bossing people around. Not used to being denied someting she wants, she tends to somehow end up with whatever she desires.

Though she is spoiled, she is intelligent and excels at almost anything she trys to do. But getting her interested in the subject is the key. If she finds the subject not worth her time she won't do it. Luckily for her, only a few things disinterest her because her curiousity gets the best of her on most days.

She doesn't have many "friends" because she has no real use for them. Having only a group she mildly hangs out with when she feels the need to socialize. In all of Adria's life her one true friend had been her twin sister Nevaeh who passed away of a medical complication before she was six. Ever since then Adria has become a closed-hearted person, not letting people get too close. Only a few have ever been able to call her a friend and in many cases for not very long, but those that do last have found a great confidant in Adria and a loyal friend.
