Family: Hyde has a relatively normal family, though all of them, save Kaiyumi, live back in Japan. He keeps in good contact with his parents, and they are on good terms, despite the fact that they do not approve of the career path he has chosen. This slight tension has been resolved a bit though, ever since Hyde took up a different path that was far quieter, and didn’t command so much unruly attention. Kaiyumi, his only relative and sibling that followed him, is a handful, and although Hyde often feigns indifference towards her well being, he actually keeps a close eye on her to ensure her safety and happiness at all times. ^_^
Friends:Naesala du Ciel: Nae has been Hyde’s friend since childhood, and the two are almost like siblings. They’ve even lived together, on and off, and Nae’s parents consider Hyde family, as do Hyde’s parents accept Naesala. Nae is the only one in Japan outside Hyde’s family that knows of Hyde’s vampirism.
Kitty Kitona: Hyde met Kitty randomly during a trip to Hogsmeade. For whatever reason, he considers her a close friend. When he first met her, he thought she was a bit ‘vulnerable’ to tell the truth, so he’s kept a close eye on her, much as he does with Kaiyumi.
Legolas: Another fairly recent acquaintance. Hyde met him once on the grounds of the school he was once at, and again, took an immediate liking to him. Aside from the fact that he thinks he’s quite pretty ( ), he finds the elf’s speech very interesting, and for some reason has a feeling of respect around him.
Brief History: Hyde was born into a normal muggle family, back in Kyoto. As the first child, his mother and father adored him as any loving parents would, and his mother would often dress him up as a little girl (which may have affected his dress/gender sense today  ). At only a couple of months of age, Hyde was bitten by a wandering vampire, leaving him quite sickly during the ‘disease’s’ gestation stage. His parents did all they could to prevent the vampirism from taking effect, but to no avail. This did nothing to prevent them from continuing to raise their first child with care, however, and although they did have to be more cautious than normal now, they were determined to raise him as normally as possible. Due to Hyde’s need to stay strictly indoors as a child, his neighbor, Naesala, being the only child nearby, quickly became his closest friend, and the two were always over at each other’s houses, seemingly inseparable. Hyde’s love for music made itself known after he accidentally bashed his head on the piano at the age of five…and, realizing he liked the sound, he continued to hit his head on the instrument until his father showed him the correct way of playing it. This, of course, was a far less painful method.
A few years after, his ability with music seemed to unlock some sort of potential for other abilities, and so his parents sent him to a school of psionics in the area, which was hidden from the ‘normal world.’ On the side, Hyde continued to develop his musical talent, and eventually it turned to the modern Jrock world, and he joined up with another friend, Tetsuya, to start Laruku…or L’Arc~en~Ciel.
Educational Background: Hyde attended muggle school from childhood until his parents recognized his psionic mind abilities developing. Around ten, they transferred him to a psionic school, where he studied until he decided to move away, to finish off his studies…and to escape from the growing L’Arc fanbase.
Personal Information[/u]
Appearance: Hyde’s a bit short for one of his age, but it might have something to do with his Japanese ethnicity. With a slim, almost androgynous stature, Hyde is quite often mistaken for a girl. Naturally he has shoulder length, carefully groomed black hair, and brown colored eyes, but his hairstyles and eye colors are as spontaneous and random as his personality. His dress sense is also quite random…ranging from his typical Jrock attire, to fanciful Harajuku, to some of the weirder Visual Kei types out there. Most notably, his nails are usually accompanied by intricate designs…seems to be an obsession, really.
Mannerisms: Hyde is pretty laid-back, and enjoys humor over solemnity. He can get along with most everyone whether he wants to or not, but when he doesn’t like somebody, he makes sure they know that fact quite clearly. This isn’t too much of a problem, though, since Hyde loves company, and is eager to share his crazy stories with others, along with hearing what others have to tell. On a more serious note, Hyde has a soft spot for helping people when it comes to supernatural problems, since he did fall victim to one at so early an age that he can’t even find heart to feel remorseful over it. He doesn’t go all angsty about his whole vampirism issue, but he is sometimes ashamed about it.

Fears: Hyde has an unnatural fear of screaming, giggling girls, particularly if they just so happen to be wearing his or his band’s merchandise…
Habits: Hyde prefers cleanliness…particularly when it comes to his nails. He carries around a nail file and pocket mirror at all times, and has a tendency to randomly pull out his file to attend to his nails. Also quite concerned with his appearance, but not obnoxiously so, like our dearest head of Hufflepuff house. His other habit of note is how frequently he seems to keep an eye out for people that don’t exist…an odd form of paranoia that has died down somewhat since moving away from Japan. Oh, and lastly, he has a tendency to hoard pocky for no reason. Open any of his drawers in his office or at home, and pocky boxes, empty or no, are sure to come spilling out.
Hobbies: His music of course! And drawing/doodling. But music namely, as it HAS made his career and all…. He prefers singing and guitar the most, but likes violin and piano as well. Either way, most of his free time is devoted to musical projects, and, with singles and albums that have already topped the charts in Japan, he hopes to continue to hold a reputation, and therefore continues to write and perform!
Skills: Music, and psionics. Since he spent most of his ‘supernatural’ studies at a psionic school, the majority of his ‘supernatural’ talents are in mind powers, and not magic.
Shortcomings: Hyde can get along with almost anyone, but may have a tendency to be disrespectful to those that command respect…not because he tries, but usually because curiosity gets the better of him, and he ends up asking a tide of questions that just turns out to be annoying.
Living Environment: Hyde’s quite used to moving around, due to his career. So he doesn’t mind the mess that typically accompanies the ‘just moved in’ phase. Tidiness isn’t a huge deal to him, though he’s not a slob. His office would say otherwise, though.
Food Preferences: Hyde still likes the Japanese cuisine he grew up with…even that disgusting
natto served for breakfast. Raw fish over rice will always be his favorite though, even though he practices a vampiric diet, since he has to. Vampiric diets often accompany being a vampire, see.
Medical Conditions/Health: Nothing special worth mentioning, aside from the vampiric qualities. Hyde’s dabbled enough with a combination of psionics and potions to get over the vampire’s vulnerability to sunlight. He’s still wary about it, though, since he did have to grow up indoors.
Religion/Spirituality: Catholic, surprisingly.
Other Important Information[/u]
Values: Hyde’s pretty open minded to this and that, though he won’t go out of his way to accept radical ideas if he honestly doesn’t agree with them. If his viewpoints hurt others’ feelings…well, that’s their problem. Everyone’s got their own opinion, and he doesn’t see why he’d have to change his to appease others’.
Overall Attitude: Laid back and easy going, Hyde is not that difficult to get along with, unless there just seems to be some sort of quality that he dislikes. Fangirling is a major turn off for him. Duh.
Motivations: Hyde’s a daydreamer, and is motivated by gorgeous scenery, or anything that could serve as inspiration for the next music video or song.
Life Experiences: The time when him and Naesala were lost at sea in naught but a rowboat. Only psionics, Nae’s birdlike hunting skills, and a fishing pole kept them alive. This may be another reason that Hyde most definitely prefers civilization. He thrives off of people. Both figuratively…and literally.
Confidence: It takes plenty of confidence to perform in front of people, and so, Hyde is quite content in his self-esteem. It’s nearly impossible to bring his mood down, and he isn’t easily intimidated by anything. Most of the time he faces threats with a wide smile.
Role Model(s): Himself.
Future Goal(s): Hyde’s got his career going for him, but not much of a lovelife exists there. So…who knows, maybe he’ll find someone here at the school…?
Secrets: His vampirism and orientation used to be secrets shared only with Nae, though they’re not so much secrets anymore, but rather common knowledge. Also, not quite sure if it’s demonic heritage mixed in or something, but those little demonic horns, tail, and wings he’s had in a couple of his music videos/performances are NOT special effects/stage makeup. :shifty:
Financial Situation: His musical career definitely pays off. C’mon. Rock stars DO get paid you know. But he’s not a jerk about it.
Special Abilities: Even for a psionic specialist, Hyde’s thought interpretation (the term ‘mind reading,’ Hyde says, is for the naïve) is quite developed. However, he doesn’t pry, for sake of privacy. And he does think it’s rude to go delving into one’s thoughts.
Speech Patterns: Hyde tends to weave in and out of Japanese and English, particularly when talking fast, or with closer friends who would be able to understand him. His Japanese accent, for the most part, is gone, but occasionally it does show through.
Favorite Sayings: Procrastinate now! Don’t put it off.
How do you deal with problems? Different problems are obviously approached with different methods. Social problems are simply dealt with with a broad smile. It makes them wonder what you have up your sleeve, and can often be more effective than intimidation. Then again, cash in hand is always useful here too…
Wow... Must be Cossu
