It was only a matter of time before she would begin her attempts in pulling him away from his social resistances. She didn't want to change him no, she just wanted to see just how crazy her new boyfriend could get. In a good sense of course. "You better prepare yourself after those words." she said with a small laugh. "You never know when an idea of fun will ignite in my mind." Tapping the side of her head, she gave him a serious look for a few seconds. It would take a lot, she concluded, to make Klaus loosen up. He was obviously not a very jubilant person most of the time. It was her job as of that second to make his like tremendously euphoric.
His acceptance in touring Italy together caused her to shout with excitement. "Great! Oh it'll be so exciting. I'm sure we'll figure out the dates at some point but I hold to the promise that we shall someday visit Italy together. We can visit the Palazzo Pitti in Florence, and maybe then the Palazzo Vecchio, and we have to stop by the Orto Botanico di Firenze. Rome is a no brainer and perhaps Tuscany if we have time." It was all so exciting that she'd already started to plan things in her head. It was only the mention of his cousins that she stalled her international speech. "Maeve?" She questioned, wondering where she'd heard that name before. Maybe she'd look it up later in the day. Or maybe never if she forgot. "Well if I ever meet him I'll be sure to keep my distance." She had been ready to make a joke but after seeing the look on his face she decided against that quickly.
"Oh I see. That makes sense. I know my mother never let me have those types of things either so I get it." Leaning back she let out a loud sigh, "It wasn't until I came here that I kind of let my diet run wild." Chuckling, she watched his face as he talked. She was mesmerized by how fast his expressions changed. He went from happy, to nervous, to uncomfortable and back before she could blink her eyes. He was easily the most interesting person she'd met in all her life. Despite all the things he thought he lacked him he didn't. "Well Sournois' have this awful sort of stereotype. Yeah, most of them are kind of difficult and try much too hard to be bad, there are those that just simply belong because they're going to be great." Looking at the lake, Tinley smiled and slid her hand into his. "You're not a social reject and you'll be great. Greater than you already are and that's a lot to begin with." She promised him. i think i've ruptured my own heart ♥ |

Klaus gave a small chuckle, his blue with pink speckled eyes lighting up in amusement. "Can't say that I'm not looking forward to seeing what this fun of yours will entail. Or at least to some extent. Crossdressing and other such activities will safely be ruled out of course, right?" Good lord, that kind of fun would most likely be horrifying for more than just him, he knew that much. Why did he even mention that either? He gulped at the thought, naturally though Tinley wouldn't want to put her new boyfriend through that much torture. No, he was pretty sure anything she came up would be much less humiliating and possibly not related to getting into danger too. It was mainly the Sournois students who got into that much trouble, so at the moment he felt relatively safe. In no time he'd be able to leave the shell he'd been hiding in for so long, he just knew it. She seemed to be giving him a pretty serious look, a look of consideration he'd say, to which he responded with a reassuring smile. She seemed to be very caring about his well being, or at the very least intending to spruce up his life a bit, to which he'd be very willing to accept, giving a small about of time.
He almost fell over though, of at least fallen to the side, in shock as she seemed so pleased about accepting her proposal. It was something he never really expected, though it seemed possible he'd have to get used to such outbursts in the future. "Oh yes, and Venice. It's supposed to be lovely this time of year, as well as all the gondola rides and... well, there's seemingly lots of pigeons there, but there's also masquerade balls to attend and stuff, and-" Apparently he was getting much too excited about the idea too, which caused him to blush again. That all stopped again though at the mention of certain people he wasn't too fond of. "Ah, that's good," he said, smiling slightly at her in relief. "I don't want you to get hurt by some of the stunts that b**tard sometimes pulls off..." He blinked quickly after realizing what he just said. "Sorry about using unnecessary language," he added sheepishly. "I tend to get kind of hot under the collar when he's mentioned or when... I see him..." Usually he actually tended to keep his distance and act rather jumpy near Drystan, but occasionally when the kitsune crossed a line Klaus' old self started to show, which wasn't really something he wanted to show the girl before him.
"Oh really? You make it sound like you let loose so much in regards to your diet that you'd put on a few pounds when not in your mother's presence~" Klaus said, looking and sounding more upbeat and lightly poked her side teasingly. "That's not to say you have, of course. You have a beautiful figure." Where did that come? He rarely ever said anything that complimented a person in that way. He also couldn't help but wonder if he crossed any boundries with the statement. He waited with bated breath to see what her response to that was. "Well, I haven't really met any Sournois so far that I'd deem to be friendly, but I guess that's because I don't actually mingle with them much,"
he murmured. "W-Wait-" he then suddenly said, eyes widening slightly like a deer caught in the headlights of a very large lorry. "I'm far from being great. Maybe in about several dozen millenniums from now. But I wont ever get to be on your level." He lowered his eyes, his voice cracking slightly, then moving them up to meet hers again, squeezing her hand gently as a sign of careful acknowledgement.[/blockquote] [/blockquote] tagged . "I would never do that." She told him, clutching her stomach. "No the fun I have in mind won't require you do anything like that I promise." Wiping the tears that had begun to pool near the corners of her eyes she leaned back on the trunk of the tree. Whether he meant it as a joke or not Tinley found him to more refreshing than he already was. "I'm glad we can make each other laugh." she confided. "I was slightly worried about things but now I'm fairly confident about us." She couldn't help the smile as she thought about her last word. It was unreal to think she was one half of an us. That someone liked her that much they allowed her to be apart of their life. It was a nice feeling, she concluded.
Sitting up she gazed at him, a grin stretching from ear to ear she nodded at him enthusiastically. "Masquerade balls sound like fun. We'll have to go to one." Titling her head she considered him for a moment before saying, "I bet you'd look good in a tux." It was a confession she both intended to say and keep to herself and there hadn't really been a point in which she thought about telling him. Smiling at him with slightly pink cheeks she settled back down. "I've never been on a Gondola ride. It would be lovely though." She sat there, dreamily imagining her and Klaus gliding through the water on a quaint boat. Italian music sung above them like a lullaby. It was such a sweet promise that she vowed to both herself and the boy next to her that they'd visit Italy. It was now a very personal goal to reach.
She blinked. Once. Then twice. She'd never heard him use any type of harsh language before and it made her aware that she probably had more to learn about Klaus than she realized. It seemed that whoever the person was, they weren't welcome near him or in any conversation. It was that reason alone that made her drop the subject and wave off his sudden apology. "Don't worry. I'm not at all offended." So told him honestly, "It's better that you tell me what you're feeling. Say the words that you're actually thinking." Her smile soon turned into that of a blush as he mentioned her figure. "O-oh, thank you." she stammered bashfully. "You're much too sweet."
"You are great," she told him. The rejection of her compliment caused Tinley to face him. Placing her finger on his chest she prodded him gently. "You're fantastic and you know it. Don't deny it any longer Klaus." gah, sorry if this sucks D: |

He wasn't too sure whether he should be amused or traumatized as he saw what appeared to be tears building up around her eyes; and would have brought out a tissue - if he had one - but she had gotten rid of them before he managed to do so. She seemed to be quite happy though, and not in the least upset like he initially thought, so that set his mind at ease a bit. "Well I'll try and not let you worry about such things in future," he stated firmly. "I mean, this is getting easier, talking like this. Maybe next time you'll have me stumbling less over words and stuff." He smiled again, matching hers. Yes, this was one person who definitely wouldn't judge him for what he was or what he was like. Generally though, he didn't know how exactly his personality had changed so much over the years, but he would be quite happy for it to change again in a better direction some time soon.
He watched her sit up and the smile faded to become a half smirk. "A tuxedo, huh? Can't say I've ever worn one of those before. As well as a mask. Could help spice things up a little," he added, a hint of mischievousness he hadn't used before ringing out in his tone of voice. He looked away, turning his eyes up at the sky which was still free of clouds, with the sun still high up, illuminating everything around them. They seemed to be getting quite excited by a lot of things here, and it was the perfect day to discuss things like it too. He could only imagine if it was the same day they first met; cold and windy. It would have been much harder to think of such vibrant things back then. Thank god for summer. Which isn't really something he thought about either, since he never really cared about the seasons or weather before now. "Yeah, it would be. Heck, we can even go on a trip around Europe if you wanted to. See more sights and buildings... though you've probably been more places than I have," he admitted timidly. Shockingly enough, despite how old he was - though technically he was still only a child in sidhe years - he really hadn't gone many places. He was even surprised that he ventured out far enough to go to France to attend this school, of all places. He was pretty pleased that he did though, otherwise he wouldn't have come across this gem named Tinley.
Klaus really couldn't help but blush visibly at her bewildered expression and felt like uttering a long string of apologies in return. She brushed off the last one he gave her though, forcing him to stop before he said anything else. "Always saying the first things you think out loud though isn't always the best idea though..." he said hesitantly. The last thing he also wanted to do was scare her off with his bad manners and socializing skills, especially when things seemed to be getting off to a better start from when they began. They were just getting to know each other... perhaps it was better to keep his opinions about others, especially his cousin, on a down low for now. The conversation soon turned again, making him feel relieved again, though giving compliments to another person especially to a girl usually made his anxiety flare up. He took a deep breath though and forced himself to remain cool as he smiled at her. "It's not only sweet, it's true too," he stated as he playfully nudged her with his shoulder, as she had done to him before. "Hmm?" He blinked at her as she sounded like she was scolded him, then looked down at her finger and chuckled. Returning his gaze back to hers, he nodded, the same smile still there. "I'll try not to. I'm sure with someone like you around I'll think much better about myself and the world around me. Not everyone gets to brag about having a lovely redhead such as yourself as a girlfriend." His pale cheeks grew a shade darker again as he averted his eyes after speaking, though after a moment giving her a side glance. Yes, she was very much indeed lovely, and he didn't know how and why she would have been interested in a guy like him. He really didn't.

She'd never had a boy talk to sweetly to her like Klaus. And if they did it wasn't without the practice they'd had with other girls. His eyes told her warm and happy things, whereas other would just hold thoughts of themselves or a girl they couldn't let go from before. Everything they'd talked about so far swam around in her head and she placed both hands on her cheeks, hoping to tame the color blooming across her features. The whole day had been such a surreal moment but she knew with every beat of her racing heart that it had all happened. She smiled bashfully at him, picturing him once again in a suit. Growing hot she stood on shaking legs and fanned herself. "Should we walk around for a bit?" she asked him, looking for any reason to prolong their time together. They'd been talking for a long time and soon their conversation would have to end. The day would have to end.
Pulling him to his feet, she laced her fingers with his leaning in to his body. Pulling him towards the edge of the lack. where ripples of water met the shore, she point towards a spot far from where the were standing. "Look." she said in awe, as a large tentacle stretch from the water before disappearing back underneath the black, glistening water. "I've heard stories of the Giant Squid." she told Klaus, thinking back to the many books she's read and loud gossip from the halls of the school. "Someone once told me that the Squid is actually very nice. The reputation of being mysterious and dangerous only coming from all the false legends students pass down to one another." They lake continued to rock back and forth as the large creature moved beneath it's surface. "I've always wanted to see if it was true for myself. But the idea of entering the lake," she shuddered at the thought of it. Tinley didn't fare well in deep bodies of water, especially one that contained murky waters that made seeing practically impossible.
The sun had begun fading behind the trees, and Tinley sighed both out of content and dread. She was sure a lot of people that had just entered into a relationship dreaded when the day ended. It was more the thought that such a perfect day, a day holding so much happiness that she was sure she'd never felt before would stop. However, the more she thought about it the more she realized that just because this day ended didn't mean there wouldn't be more days like it. Looking up at Klaus she studied his face. It was illuminated by the watercolored sky and she smiled. He looked otherworldly from where she was standing and entirely mesmerizing in every way. She still couldn't believe that he, of all people, found his way out of his shell long enough to let her in. It was a miracle she'd be grateful for the rest of her life. Suddenly, Tinley made her way to stand in front of him giving him a look of contemplation before standing of the very tips of her toes (he was much taller than she was) and kissing him softly. "Been wanting to do that for a while." she told him, settling back down at his side. "Happy I did."
tried to get this in before class so the ending might a little awkard. sorrryyy. |

Klaus raised a hand to his mouth, trying to surpress a grin as he noticed her blush again. They really were like two young lovers without a care in the world, just chatting as if it was the first time they saw each other in years, relaxing and enjoying such a beautiful day, it really couldn't have gotten much better, and he dared not think that it could. He really didn't want to jinx himself before things even got under way, though he supposed that what people normally felt when they first started dating someone. You never knew where things might lead you until things got better or worse; he never could hope for the latter though. All he needed to do was just act normal and things would proceed the way he could only have dreamed of, though before now he had never had dreams of his future, not good ones at least. Barely noticing as she stood up, he quickly raised his head as she spoke and grabbed his hands as she dragged him to his feet. She was actually quite strong and spry for a young human girl. Klaus chuckled quietly at that, as if enjoying a private joke, then smiled down at her as she bumped against him, fingers mingling together as she pulled him slowly towards the nearby lake.
Curiously, half giving her a glance before looking in the direction she was staring in, he saw what it was that caught her attention. He looked faintly surprised for a moment then more or less understanding as he quickly glimpsed a large black tentacle sliding back beneath the water's surface. "You seem to know quite a lot about it," he observed as he watched the water still. "I did a bit of research before coming here," he admitted. "Apparently they transported an egg from the Black Lake in Scotland where the original Giant Squid lived, and what we're seeing now is kinda like it's offspring. That species doesn't really live naturally in France, only in Scotland." He stopped for a moment, eyes widening before turning back to Tinley. "I'm sorry! I didn't say too much did I? I must be boring you." He blushed violently and quickly turned away from her again, his eyes turning back to the lake and was intensely staring at it hard enough as if he could make it boil, which he couldn't, but the look he was giving it was that hard it would have been surprising if it didn't happen. "I wonder though if it makes much contact with the people around here," he muttered as if uttering an afterthought, his gaze softening as he crouched a little - still without letting go of her hand - and poking the surface of the water, causing it to ripple.
Klaus heard a small sigh beside him and he stood up straight, only just noticing that the sun which had been blaring high in the sky previously was now starting to disappear behind the trees of the forest. He was quite surprised he hadn't noticed how late it was getting due to how his internal clock worked. Mind you, he hadn't been paying much attention for the past few hours to anything but the girl beside him, so you could hardly blame him. He half turned to look at Tinley who was now staring at him with an unusual expression on his face, and he couldn't help but return it with a bemused expression of his own. Which even got more so when she then went up as high as she could on her toes and kissed him. Stunned and startled were a couple of words that could have been used to describe how he looked and was feeling right now, but as he looked at her he felt the surprise quickly ebb away. Trying not to shock himself out of anything he'd regret, he bent quickly downwards and caught her lips in his own in a return kiss. "Likewise," he said simply, smiling at her as he pulled away and beamed down at her, for the first time looking quite radiant in his happiness. Slowly, he looked downwards and then up to the sky and back to the girl before him again. "So, I suppose that's a goodnight kiss is it? And I should be the g-gentleman.. to escort you to your dorm... since it's getting so late..." he said meekly, his old stuttering returning again after everything that's happened thus far. He didn't really want to leave her, he truly didn't, though the day couldn't last forever and of course he'd see her again whenever she wanted... It was all up to what she wanted to do really, everything was up to her; he'd made that resolve as soon as he kissed her, maybe even long before then.
