Tell about your character here: Joanalissa Daphne Bronze prefers to be called by her full first name. However, some people would still call her shorter names. over the years sge began to approve of the names Lissa, Lissie, and Joan. Her favorite was Lissa. She was born on September 3, in France. She had an older sister named Brittany who was two years older her. Her mother was a veela and her father was a seer. So Lissa and Brit were both seers and half veela. Their parents didn't let them attend muggle school for that reason. The girls could easily harm a child with their powers. They were unusual even for wizards. But when they were eleven, their parents let them go to magic school. When Brit started, Lissa was still nine, so she had to wait a few years before she could attend Beauxbatons.
When she attended Beauxbatons, she was sorted into Cossu. Her sister was a third year Rouerie. They would often see each other at dinner though. Lissa made quite a few new friends. She met some other veelas. Sometimes they would have hovering contests. Normally the winner was either Lissa or her friend Rosella Largo. She took extra divination classes, as it was her favorite subject. When she was seventeen, she graduated Beauxbatons. In her OWLs and NEWTs she had gotten mostly Outstandings. She went back to her home with her sister Brit was then nineteen. Now Lissa is 21and Brit is 23.
Position you want: Divination professor
Why you would be good for the position: Lissa has always loved divination. She was the top divination student in her year when she had attended Beauxbatons. She is a seer, which makes her even better at the subject. She is a hardworker and loves to teach young children.
Sample Lesson
Lissa smoothed out her skirt tied her hair back in a ponytail. She sat down on her desk which was in the front of the room. It was beside the chalkboard which had been magically glued to the wall in the front of the room. She stood back up and walked the five feet between her desk and the board. She used her mind to lift the chalk up to the board. She used her mind to write.

She put the chalk down and sat back down at her desk. She looked at the clock and frowned. The class was supposed to be starting in five minutes. She had hoped a student would show up early to help her set up all the crystal balls. No one came, so she had to do it herself. She stood up and went to the cabinet in the back of the room, she picked up the crate of clear glass balls, and placed one at each desk.
They probably wouldn't need the balls for this lesson. However, she didn't know how far they'd get today. She sat down at her desk just when the students started filing into the classroom. She smiled. She could hardly wait to start teaching these young minds about her favorite subject. When the students had found their seats, she began with the lesson.
"Hello! My name is Professor Bronze and I will be Divination professor this year" she said. She pointed to the board. "If you have looked, you will know that you need to turn in your textbook, to page 364" she notified them. She smiled. She could hear the flipping of the pages in the many books of the student. She already knew that this was going to be a great year.

Name: Blanche Monette House: Rouerie Year: N/A Tell about your character here: Blanche was born to a poor Wizarding family in Paris. She was raised by her brothers and sisters because her parents soon passed away due to the second cholera pandemic. Eventually, they were no longer able to support the younger children so her older brother found a wealthy couple that would take Blanche in. She quickly adapted to a life of luxury. She still had hazy memories of her early childhood. It was at the age of seven where her powers as a Seer were truly recognized. Her adoptive parents provided for an early education in the mystical arts. At the age of eleven, she was sent away to Beauxbatons where she was sorted in Rouerie. One summer while she was traveling with her parents, they were ambushed by robbers. They killed her parents immediately. The men took their time when they attacked Blanche. They ran away and left her there to die. Her time on the Earth was slowly coming to an end when a vampire found her. Taking pity, he turned her into a vampire. She's been thankful to him and has been traveling the world ever since. When she heard that the position of Divination Professor was open, she quickly made her way to France to apply for the job.
The first thing one notices about Blanche is that she'll usually have a book in hand. That was one of the reasons why she was sorted into Rouerie. She is always eager to learn and her adoptive parents were more than happy to provide the money to pay for the lessons. She spent the majority of her traveling, gathering any knowledge that she could find. She's pretty much a big softie. Through the many years that she has lived, she's seen people suffer especially children. She has developed a helpful nature. Blanche has scraped up whatever money she had to give to the poor. She believed in them having rights and to not just be downtrodden. She held the firm belief that the poor were just as good as the rich and she was willing to fight for it. In her, there was a quiet strength that not many notice. Blanche is fiercely loyal to her loved ones. She would throw her life away for them. Her new life as a vampire wasn't the end. It was the another chance. She thinks of it as a second chance to live. She is a compassionate person, choosing to kill only when she had to. Even then, she killed only those who harmed others.
Position you want: Divination Professor
Why you would be good for the position: Unknown to her, Blanche comes from a long line of seers. Her adoptive parents hired private tutors to help her with her ability. She has studied the art of Divination for a long time. Through her years of traveling, she has picked up a lot more information on the subject and has tried new methods involving Divination. Blanche connects well with the children due to her kind nature. She's a patient person and would do her best in helping the children understand the subject. She knows that it's hard to understand Divination at first especially when one does not possess the sight so she tries to guide them through. Blanche always has her door open so if anyone needed help, she would aid them.
Sample Lesson
The morning sun rose high in sky, casting its light across the school. Blanche was already up with a cup of tea in her hands. She had been much too excited about the day to go to sleep. Still, she needed her rest so she had woken up just as the sun was rising. She gave a small smile at the thought that ran through her mind. She was actually the Divination Professor at Beauxbatons. It didn't seem too long ago when she was sitting in those little desks, learning all that she could about the subject. Blanche glanced at the clock that hung in the corner of the room. It looked like it was almost time for the children to start coming in. Blanche set down the cup and vanished it. Standing up, she dust off her hands and began writing on the board. The curling letters that appeared on the board and took the shape of her name. Underneath, she wrote about what they were going to learn today. Finished with that part, she glanced at her desk.
She had all the textbooks that were required for the day. On her shelves stood multiple bags of tea leaves and teacups. Unfortunately, they wouldn't be reading their fortunes through the tea leaves today. Blanche had wanted to start the kids off easy due to the fact that it was only their first lesson so they would be studying Palmistry. It would be best to ease them right into the subject. She settled back down in her seat as she watched each student begin to enter. When the final student sat down, Blanche decided to stand up and introduce herself. "Good morning, class! I am Professor Monette," she greeted. She glanced at each student. "Now, I know that each of you are looking for an easy time in this class but I warn you that it can get kind of hard at times. If you need any help, just raise your hand or you may come to my office after class." Blanche gave her class a smile as she made her way towards the blackboard. "Today, we will be learning about the art of Palmistry," she announced, gesturing towards the board.
Blanche turned towards the students in her class. Each child ranged from ages eleven to eighteen. The one thing that threw her off a little was the fact that there were eleven-year-olds in the class. Divination was not a subject for the faint-hearted. She preferred it if the students were able to accept the fact that they may die early yet they should remain hopeful for fate could be changed. She doubted the fact that there would be a lot of early death predictions. It was modern times. As time went on, wizards began to progress. In her time, at least five children were told that they may die an untimely death. That was mostly because of the times that she was living in. Divination might be easier for the children this time. "Before we learn about Palmistry, who can tell me what Divination is?" A seventeen-year-old girl raised her hand. Blanche pointed at her and called her name. "Divination is a branch of magic that involves attempting to foresee the future, or gather insights into future events, through various rituals and tools," she answered. Blanche nodded. "Correct, Miss Labelle, directly from the book too. Five points to Rouerie!"
A flash of movement caught her eye so turned to the other side of the room to see one of the younger children waving their hands. Blanche smiled at the sign of excitement. As a child, she was always raising her hand to answer a question or ask one. Her smile dropped a little at the question the girl asked but it still remained on her face. "The subject of Divination is quite precise but there is always the matter of your fate changing," she explained. As an afterthought, she decided to explain a bit further. "The case does not happen often but it isn't unheard of. Sometimes, someone could come into your life and then change everything around." She gave a nod when the girl seemed to understand. "Okay. Now, who can tell me what it says on the board?" Several students raised their hands to answer the question. Blanche called on a little boy sitting in the back of the classroom.
The young boy answered her question. "Palmistry or Chiromancy is the art of foretelling the future through studying palms," she said, waiting a few moments for the children to write the notes down. She waved her wand and a picture of the palm appeared on her board. Blanche took out a marker and traced down a line that started the index finger and thumb. The line wound its way around the base of the thumb. "This is the life line which is one of the easiest lines to find on your palm. As its name explains, it tells you how long a person will live. However, it can also tell you if your life is going to be filled with happiness or not. If the line is long and deep, it represents a long life full of vitality. However, that is just one example. There are many other outcomes," she explained, tracing her hand down the life line of the picture of the palm. Blanche turned back toward the class. "Now, I want all of you to find your life line. As reference, please turn to page twenty of Unfogging the Future. There, you will find all that you need to find out about the life line. I want you to write down what you have predicted of your life. I will be going around the classroom to check your answers once you finish. Again, if you need any help, just raise your hand." With that said, she watched each student get to work. Blanche walked around the class and occasionally, stopped at a desk to help a student.

about gabriel;Gabriel came from your run-of-the-mill Muggle family, nothing ever really made him stand out from the crowd. He was okay at sports, okay at school, okay at life. Receiving his acceptance letter to Beauxbatonshad been a shock to his entire family but he embraced the life. It was like a void in his life was filled - being a wizard came naturally to Gabriel. Everything fascinated him and he couldn't get enough of anything. He spent his school days bugging his teachers for all the information he could get, reading as many books as he could in the library. Weekends were spent wandering the boutiques near Beauxbatons and Rue de Paradis. When the time came for him to write his NEWTs, he was at a loss for what he wanted to do with his life - he loved everything equally and couldn't imagine dedicated the rest of his life to just one field of wizarding expertise. So, unsure of what to do with his life, Gabriel found work at Monsieur Mungo's Shoppe of Bygone Products and there he stayed, loving every moment filled with so many different wonderful things.
Gabriel is what would be called a nice guy. There isn't a mean bone in his body and is known for having a really mellow temperament, generally just going with the flow of life with a smile on his face. Nothing really riles him and he tends to make a friend out of anyone. However because of this laidback lifestyle he has quite an aversion to commitment, not wanting to find himself in a situation he can't get himself out of. He doesn't want to build walls in his life because he wants to know all about the things that interest him - which is everything. Every once in awhile he'll become obsessed with something and will spent months researching that one thing to the point of exhaustion therefore he's that guy who seems to know everything about everything. why he would be good for the position;Monsieur Mungo's Shoppe of Bygone Products seems like the perfect for Gabriel because it's a store that sells unusual and strange (bygone) products and Gabriel knows everything so he'd be great at explaining these items to customers. And if a product ever came in that he didn't know all there was to know about, he would make sure to learn as soon as he could. Also, because of his easy-going personality he'd be great at dealing with a whole array of customers, charming more than a few in to purchases with his smile. Additionally, because a shopkeeper isn't what one would consider a 'serious' job it doesn't irk his sense of avoiding committing to certain things.

Tell about your character here: Sara was born on christmas eve to two muggles named Emma Laxor and George Bronze on Christmas Eve, 24 years ago. She was born in Canada, and lived there for most of her life. She didn't live near a magic school, so she was never invited to magic school. So instead, she was sent to her parents' old magic school. She started when she was eight. Sara hated her muggle school. For some reason, she felt like she was different from the other children in her school. She could levitate flowers. One day when she was ten, another student saw her doing this. The student was her enemy, Theresa Hop. Theresa told the headmistress, but honestly. What the probability of a 70 year old believing a ten year old when told about another ten year old's powers.
She also didn't enjoy her classes. The were all just numbers and letters and things that happened in the past. But that changed when she was twelve. Her english class was starting to learn about greek mythology. It was wonderful. She loved learning about these magical people with strange abilities. They were truly fascinating! She felt that she was a bit like them. That she could do strange things. It was unknown at this time that she was a witch. So soon mythology became her favorite subject. Learned about it for years in her school. But sadly, when she was seventeen, her father got a new job in England. But there was one upside. Sara was close to the magic school in Ebgland, so she got invited. She knew now that she was a witch. She was overjoyed that she wouldn't be attending muggle school anymore. Her parents were supportive of her magical learning, so it was off to Hogwarts.
At hogwarts, she was sorted into Hufflepuff house. Hufflepuff Suited her quite well. She was Dedicated, Hardworking, Fair, Patient, and Kind. She was good friends with the other hufflepuffs. They had similar personality traits. She took a liking to the divination class at hogwarts. It was rather interesting to see the future. But of course, all good thing have to end, and eventually she turned nineteen. She left hogwarts with her friend Helena George, the ravenclaw. They went to france at age twenty, and rented an apartment. They had a good time, until three years later when both Sara and Helena got dragon pox. Helena died, and Sara survived. She was very upset about her friend's death. At age twenty four, Sara decided to get a job at the french magic school, Beauxbatons. She wAs delighted to see that there was a mythology class! She had loved the subject as a child and would love to teach it to young minds.

Why you would be good for the position: Sara has loved the subject since the time she was very young. She loved learning about the greek gods and goddesses, and how powerful they were. She would love to teach the next generation of witches and wizards about the subject. She is well qualified to teach, having attended both magic and muggle schools. She is determined, hardworking, Smart and patient.

Tell about your character here: Nadine comes from a home of respectable family of politicians so when it became clear that she did not have a predisposition of being charming, it instantly made her the black sheep of the family. Although she was not the typical black sheep, she still got along with her family and they were still supportive of her, it was just against the grain that she much preferred her homework over social events and that, when put in social situations, became slightly awkward. Indeed, Nadine was famous for constantly blurting out what's on her mind, being one of the more blunt people. It's a good thing she is incapable of thinking a mean thought about anyone or any situation or life would be really hard for her. She attended Beauxbatons where it was clear that she certainly excelled in school and she felt right at home among the Rouerie. For the most part, she kept to herself while still knowing almost everyone in her year. She didn't exactly go out of her way to make friends but she was friendly and talked to everyone and was always there to help others with their homework. She was especially adept at arithmancy and wanted to travel the world to study further but then suddenly, after having her research stolen, she was out of job and decided to turn towards the birth of her love of numbers - Beauxbatons.
Position you want: Arithmancy
Why you would be good for the position: Beyond her skills with arithmancy, Nadine is a person who is easy to get along with. She talks very candidly and animatedly, with confidence and easy gestures. Her candidness makes her relatable and thus makes it easy for her to command a classroom. Plus, she is still really young (only 22) so she can really understand the way her students learn. She is also a very dedicated person and would never give up until every student that walks into her class leaves understanding the lessons or a better person - she would give her job her all and try to give the students what she, herself, would want in a teacher.
Sample: Nadine clapped her hands together as she surveyed the empty classroom and laughed at the way it broke the silence in the room. It was perhaps the excitement of the beginning of term or just her usual self that made her so giddy. She had been looking forward to this day for awhile now - she could hardly wait to touch the minds of the students who would walk through her door any moment now and was nearly overwhelmed by the responsibility that came with being a professor. The day before she had spent hours organizing her room and ensuring she came prepared with all her notes to go over her first lesson - how to properly read a number chart. It was a lesson she knew many professors preferred not to waste their time on but Nadine was different, she was a firm believer that it was very important to start students off with a solid foundation before expanding into the more difficult concepts to arithmancy. Such was the way all her lessons were planned - she would start with the most simple and basic form of the concept and would gradually add upon it throughout the class, making certain that everyone understood, of course.
Turning to face the blackboard, Nadine was faced with a slight dilemma. As a student she had loathed to copy notes but as a professor, she could see no other way to get it done. She could hardly do as she'd seen muggles - make these things called photocopies. The muggle sudies professor used them on occasion and Nadine had to admire that she could see the benefit of using them. But alas, she had limited means and could only do so much and having her students copy notes was the only way she could see going about this. Sighing, she pulled her wand and pointed it at the blackboard with purpose. Consulting her notes, so not to make any errors, she began to draw the most basic of basic number chart.

There, she decided. This was the perfect place to start. Deciding it would be interesting to have an example of what they were supposed to do, Nadine wrote out her name in careful printing and then below each letter, the corresponding number. She had decided it would be fun to drum up personal excitement for arithmancy and what better way than to show the students how the numbers could reveal much of their name? That had been, afterall, the moment when she had become really fascinated by the subject, when it really hit home that numbers were so much more than they appeared. That they had practical applications in everyone's life. Her mission as a professor was to do just as her professor had done for her - inspiring the desire to learn.

Name: Desiree Snow House(if applies): Year(if applies): Graduate Witch
Tell about your character here: Desiree Snow just graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and decided that she needed a change. She was a Slytherin student during her stay and received perfect marks in all of her subjects. She was also a member of the schools debate team. Her drive came from being part of a distinguished pure blood line who lived by the code "Semper Fidelis, Nunquam Vulgaris". Now she wanted to open young minds into the intriguing world of Dark Arts. Given how the Snows are cousins with the Blacks, it is small wonder where the inspiration for this decision came from. She has always admired her great aunt Bellatrix Lestrange.
Position you want: Dark Arts Professor
Why you would be good for the position The role of a Dark Arts professor requires someone who is diligent, confident and strong willed. It takes a certain kind of mentality to face the insidiousness of the aforementioned realm and be able to portray it in a manner that is applicable to the audience that it would be presented to. Desiree has had enough experience with the Dark Arts after her encounter with the necromancers and death eaters that plagued Hogwarts during her stay. She has also been trained to portray any and all information in a clear and concise manner through her debate training.
Sample Lesson
The dungeons housed the darkest classrooms, hardly any of the other teachers choose to hold their classes here, but Desiree thought it best to reserve one fore her class. It was farthest away from all of the distractions plus it was wise to have a room away from most of the schools students if you were expecting to train using the dark arts.
She flicked her wand and the chalk started scribbling the basic information about herself and her subject on the board. As the chalk continued to write, some of the students were already starting to arrive. Most of them were hesitant to enter the dark classroom but they eventually took their seats when they saw the professor up front. Some of them stared at her with curious looks, as if wondering why a sweet looking brunette who was barely older than them, took on the job as a dark arts teacher.
When all of the students were in, Desiree stood up from her chair and give her class a warm smile before saying:
"Good day class, welcome to your first Dark Arts class. My name is Desiree Snow and I will be your professor for this term. Behind me you will see the list of requirements, I expect all of you to have them ready for our next class."
She was glad to see that most of the students came prepared as they took out their scrolls and quills and started jotting down notes. She gave them a few minutes to copy the writings on the board before continuing:
"Since I just gave the requirements now, I'm assuming some of you don't have the textbook yet. Therefore, using your own words, can anyone tell me, what does Dark Arts mean?"
Hands were raised in different parts of the room. She waled around, hiding her enthusiasm and excitement in a calm facade. She chose a girl wearing a long ponytail near the back of the class.
"Yes, what is your answer Ms.?"
"Ms. Olivia Flanders. Ma'am, Dark Arts are usually associated with evil, however some of their acts are not necessarily evil as they are merely considered taboo. By being such, the context is very important on what one would consider the "dark" arts."
Desiree smiled and said: "Precisely! Very good Ms. Flanders, 10 points to your house."
"Can anybody else give me their description?"
When more hands started shooting up, she couldn't help but smile. "This is going to be a good year." She thought.

Name: Chait Pivane
House(if applies): Graduated Ravenclaw from Hogwarts
Year(if applies): Graduated, but his age is 23 years old.
Tell about your character here: Chait was born into a seemingly Muggle family, well-off and well-connected with powerful forces in the city. As he grew older he learned from his father, brother, uncles, and many other powerful men and women in his family and close friends that they were a strong community who enforced their own sense of law on the rest of the city-- collecting debts, enforcing punishments, initiating protection funds, and bringing those who the law refused to touch to justice. As he grew older, he was able to see the flaws in this renegade justice system as nothing short of a city mob, run by gangsters, thugs and the head of the family as top dog.
When Chait discovered his magical abilities, his father introduced him to a well-kept secret (even among the rest of the family and mob soldiers) of the use of wizards in their Muggle operations. Some of the key players in the wars against other gangs and the corruption of public officials had been due to the mixed blood of the family and the powers of these hidden wizards.
Chait spent most of his childhood and older years alternating between wizarding school and long stays at home where he helped his father perform jobs for the family. When tragedy struck and his mom was lost, Chait abandoned the family and fled to Hogwarts as a transfer student. There he finished his schooling before spending the early graduate years travelling and studying dark arts from across the world-- varying per culture and religion. Why you would be good for the position: Chait's relationship is very dependent on the Dark Arts in many ways as he saw Dark Arts do incredible things for his family by providing wealth, security, power, and in some cases justice when "pure" magic was unable to do so. However, with the loss of his mother and so in many ways his innocence, Chait could not ignore the destructive qualities of the Dark Arts. His respect for them deepened as he learned about ways the Dark Arts have been found across the world, ranging from the Yaoguai of China to basic elements of Voodoo. As a teacher he balances the carefully researched understanding of someone who has seen Dark Arts personally in many different forms with a strong understanding of the complicated nature of these arts and how each student will ultimately have to decide how to utilize the knowledge he provides.
Sample Class Lesson Chait heaved a breath as the corner of his desk met with the corner of the wall with a soft thud. The desk itself wasn't heavy but the mountain of musty books, maps and rolls of parchment piled on top made moving the desk a physical feat in itself-- perfect to warm himself up for class. As long as he had known he was a wizard he couldn't bring himself to take the easy way out on things like this. Maybe it came from being raised in a Muggle environment, but there was too much value to knowing your own body.
As he straightened and wiped his brow he looked at his empty classroom with all the desks pushed to the back and his own desk pushed to the very front. It seemed to make an arena, surrounded by shelves of books and wall hangings ranging from a large silver talisman in the shape of a sheath and a spear braided together to three shrunken heads tied together by their long dismal hair, faces frozen in perpetual grief. The first day and he was positive his students wouldn't know what to do with themselves.
Sure enough not a moment later students began to pour into his classroom, the young bright faces mixed with boredom and curiosity depending on the age and the gait into the classroom. Already he picked out two giggling boys who strut into the room with their metaphorical feathers perked, determined to show off to the girls what strong men they could be. What better class to be the big-kid-in-town than the class that made everyone a little bit uneasy. Chait tapped the left side of his nose for luck, a superstitious habit he couldn't shake since his time in the bayous, and with that class began.
"Put your books on one of the desks in the back!" Chait barked out, his voice catching their attention quickly with their slightly scratchy tones, a voice that was once smooth puckered audibly by the scar that each students' eyes were instantly drawn to. It was a graphic thing, the scar that ran out from his collared shirt (seemingly from his left shoulder blade) and up across his throat to his right ear. An ugly red and pink thing, there was a clear mark from where the wound had been stitched up and more scars suggesting the initial wound had been far from a clean cut. As more students noticed the scar they began to shuffle uncomfortably. He waved them to the front, a somewhat wolfish grin on his face.
"Welcome, students," his voice crackled out as he gave them what he hoped was a friendly smile (but probably looked more like Frankenstein's school photo). "Welcome to Dark Arts Class. My name is Professor Pivane." He leaned back against his desk and surveyed them all for a moment before clapping his hands together. "Alright folks, here's the game plan. We're gonna cover Dark Arts principle and practice-- talk about what you'll see out in the world and how you can use what I'm allowed to teach you. We're gonna spend the first couple weeks talking about ethics and Dark Arts, and then-"
There was an audible groan in response to the first part of his sentence, to which he raised an eyebrow. "What, you all think you don't need a course in ethics?"
"No way, man," a student retorted. Chait's eyes flipped to him-- of course it was one the boys peacocking, flipping his hair out of his eyes to confirm his point.
"No?"
"Well the people using Dark Arts on us won't have ethics so why should we?"
Chait jumped up from leaning position, noticing a few students who stepped back nervously when he did so. "Ah, but there you're wrong! Everyone has a code of ethics, they just may not agree with yours." He waved the young man up towards the front and the boy did so without a second's pause. Looking through the class he pointed to three other random students, another boy with light blonde hair, a girl with tight red curls and a second girl with glasses who looked petrified when he pointed at her and waved them to the front as well.
"Okay, you Mister-no-ethics, what is your name?"
"I'm Leo, Professor Pivane." The boy was still a bit too smug for his taste. Chait directed the boy to one end of the class and the three to stand by his side.
"Okay, class. Now here's a classic situation. One wizard is targeted by a gang of wizards. Now let's say that these three here are willing to Dark Arts against the one." Leo took out his wand in preparation, but Chait flicked his own and Leo's wand floated into his own hand. "Nope, Leo. Wrong class. This is Dark Arts, not defense against it." Leo's face instantly paled. "So class, there's a few ways this can play out. One, maybe this sole wizard is a criminal. Maybe he is a murderer on death row. Can these three use an Unforgivable Curse? Now what if the three had stumbled upon him running from a scene of a crime-- what then? What is he's an innocent bystander? What if they are the criminals targeting him?" The class appeared uncomfortable but engaged, staring at him intently.
"Now, miss-" he asked, leaning towards the glasses-eyed girl.
"S-Simone Daniels," she stammered out.
"Miss Simone, yes. Let's hit Leo with a stunning spell." The girl looked up at him terrified and he nodded. "Don't worry, you can do it. Stupefy, remember. Right at him. Stupefy."
She looked horrified but turned to Leo, who stared at her with what was clearly the bravest face he could muster. "You okay there Leo?" Chait called. Leo nodded just as Simone's Stupefy carried him off his feed and onto the carpeted and pillowed ground behind him. Simone gasped then heaved a sigh of relief as Chait clapped her on the shoulder.
"Now class, what if that hadn't just been a stunning spell? What if it had been something worse? Would you as a bystander step in? Could you step in?" He walked to Leo and murmured a quick "Rennervate" drawing Leo back to his feet and returning his wand. "This is why this class is important. Had we given Leo his wand, what would he have done with it?"
He turned back to face the class, examining their startled and wide-eyed faces. "The question I will ask you time and time throughout this class is simple. What role will the Dark Arts play in your life?" He paused for a single moment, then crackled out- "Because trust me, my students. They will."
There was a long silence before a quiet voice peeped out-- he turned and saw the speaker was Simone, pushing her glasses against the bridge of her nose as she spoke. "I-is that what happened-- what gave you that scar?"
For a moment Chait was drawn back, drawn out of the classroom to the pulsing mass of flesh tangled beneath his chin, throbbing with its own life and cackling at him with its own voice. Silence. The familiar silence that came with his scar and for a moment he considered never speaking again. But then that quiet voice once more-Simone. "Professor?"
He looked up and smiled at them easily. "Class dismissed."

Name: Gerald Fraiser House(if applies): Gryffindor from Hogwarts Year(if applies): Graduated from Hogwarts Tell about your character here: Gerald Frasier is an an old coot, some would call him. He had only just graduated from Hogwarts, 17, and off to have an Adventure! An Adventure! Why his family looked down on that sort of thing. Well, Gerald left anyway from his parents strict rule. He was born in Germany, and in his opinion there was no finer hellhole around. Eventually, when expenses ran short, and so did his will, he found himself stuck in France. He lived quietly there for a while, doing odd jobs until he was 30. Only then he decided to want to teach. Whatever what was open, he assumed. He was good at nearly everything except Herbology. Good lord, what a mess. Position you want: History of Magic Why you would be good for the position: Gerald would be good for the position because, well he didn't know. He wanted something that he knew well, and would allow him to teach well. Sample Lesson Gerald walked into the classroom which he would see everyday. It was gray and empty, the desks, including his own, was gathereing up dust. Candles were laid out everywhere, awaiting to be lit. How dull. He sat in his chair, which sagged under his weight. He kicked his feet onto his desk and grabbed his wand from his robes. With a lazy flick, words appeared out of thin air on the chalk board.
Introduction to History of Magic
He only just thought about the little gremlins he called first years. Ugh. With another flick of his wand, the dust swept off the desk, and the candles lit, illuminating the room. He had the day worked out. He was going to teach something he had to put little effort into because he was there for it. He was going to talk about a one special event in recent history, the defeat of Lord Voldemort. He shivered. He hated the name.
With his feet kicked up and his head back, he awaited his students..

Name: Fred Histoire
About my Character: Fred Histoire is one of the best Magical Historians in the world, having studied it in great detail for most of his life. His second favourite subject as a child was Defence Against the Dark Arts, but History of Magic was always fascinating to him. He was originally sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, but travelled to France to hear about it's individual history on a History assignment from his Professor, a Professor Binns. He loved France and it's History so much, that he decided that after receiving his N.E.W.T's (all of which were Outstanding, achieving the joint highest History of Magic mark in the world ever), he would live in France and see if he could get a job at Beauxbatons... a school he always felt his heart was truly in.
Position wanted: History of Magic (you may have already gathered that, however)
Why would I be good for the position: I am reliable, and I have a lot of experience. Having studied History of Magic my whole life, I know everything that is possible to know! However, I always believe there is more I can do, and I hope I can inspire my pupils and make them interested. I know it was the case at Hogwarts, that History of Magic was called a very boring subject. It all comes down to the way it's taught, however, so I am sure I can turn this around and make it a different matter at Beauxbatons!
Sample lesson: I sit, ready and waiting for my lesson to begin. No pupils have turned up yet, but... Oh no, there's the bell!
I feel a squirm of excitement as my class enter the classroom, and I stand up, a wide smile on my face. I wait for them to sit down before introducing myself. "Hello, everyone! My name is Professor Histoire... which I guess is quite fitting, as I am your new History of Magic teacher. As your teacher, it is one of my priorities for you to learn... but an even bigger priority is that you have fun. And that is what I intend you to do in this lesson. Learn, but mainly have fun."
I reach under the desk, and grab a large cardboard box. I place it on the table in front of me, saying in a clear voice, "Gather round!"
The class bustle around me, a few of them exchanging smiles. I open up the box with my wand, to reveal a moving 3D representation of what happened in the goblin riots. "So, can anybody tell me what this is showing?" I give them a few seconds to answer, as they are still fascinated by the individual moving figures.
One student shoots their hand into the air, and I point at them. "Yes, Mademoiselle..."
"Claude. Isobella Claude. It's the goblin riots!" she said, and I nodded, smiling.
"Well done, Isobella. It is indeed the goblin riots. Now, here is your task for this week. With my assistance, you will each complete a moving representation of the goblin riots. Each day, I shall give you a pack of information that you can use to make it. But remember the criteria: it has to represent all the key facts well... and be 3D and moving. You will have help with the Charms to help it move in your Charm lessons, so don't let that faze you! Sound good?" I watch happily as my new students nod excitedly. "Let's get to work then!" I shout, and rush off to get the key supplies, my new students running after me laughing.
And I think only one thing. This is the best time of my life.
