books
i always liked reading books, but my elementary school library wasn't the best and i wasn't huge on reading. it wasn't until i was twelve that i picked up the third harry potter book because i watched the first two movies and wanted to see what the big deal about harry potter was. i read the third, fourth, and fifth book all in three months ( a big thing for me ) and then throughout middle school i repeatedly reread the series. i think i've read them all four times. after that i was hooked on reading. mostly fantasy novels though or things related to greek mythology since i love that stuff.
books i have in my room: harry potter, inheritance series, twilight sagabefore it got dumb, the mortal instruments, the hunger games, the davinci code, blue is for nightmares, white is for magic, silver is for secrets and red is for remembrance, the host, wicked, the vampire diariessorta, i am number four, the power of six, the lightening thief and that series, the narnia booksexcept for seven, i'm currently reading it, dracula, the maze runner and the game of thrones, city of bones and those books and i've read others as well. there's a few i haven't read yet like the lost symbol.
roleplaying
well i first started almost five years ago. the sixth year mark will be in august. my best friend introduced me to beauxbatons academy of magic. i was pretty awful, and my first character was monique reynolds and was very stereotypical lol at beauxbatons, you have to be a second year by reaching 100 i had reached fourth year with 400 something incharacter posts before i made my second character that i still have to this date: otis barberis, the greek seer. i adore this character so much that i could consider him my child. i actually met someone just like him too in boston once which thrilled me to no end. i had been on a lot of sites here and there but they died or i got bored lmao. roleplaying opened me up to writing short novels and fanfiction on harrypotterfanfiction.com which had to be my favorite site in middle school. so basically writing is my biggest hobby besides a sport. my parents don't even know i do all this writing. they think i just sit around and do nothing. but each of my character's has a little bit of me in them. otis is my niceness and academic side, sampson is my loner/people hater personality that i keep to myself and chrysander is my quietness and the slight social anxiety i have. roleplaying has also opened me up more to the actors and actresses which went along with my movie obsession.
movies
i'm a huge movie watcher. when i was younger, friday was our family movie night and then the theater was soon my second home. most of the money i spend is on movies then food. two summers ago i watched almost every movie that came out that looked decent. unfortunately i can't do that during the school year since school and sports gets in the way. if i had known that being a script writer for movies was an actual job, i would have pushed myself harder. it's a shame i live in the midwest, no where near movie sets or i would be doing that my entire life; writing movies. my favorite generes are superheros, action/adventure, and some chick flicks. i will not do scary movies and i've learned that most of the "funny" movies aren't really funny. just dumb.
movies i love: the avengers, thor, captian america, iron man, the incredible hulk, the hunger games, harry potter seriesnot the fifth one though. that sucked, disney pixar movies like, up, finding nemo, walle, a bug's life, ( i'm such a kid, but i adore those kinds of movies ), a bunch of classic disney movies like mulan, hercules, tarzan, lilo and sitch, pocahontas, 101 dalmations, peter pan, the little mermaid and then there's other movies like, star trek, star wars, sherlock holmes, spiderman, prince of persia, phantom of the opera, p.s. i love you, pirates of the caribbean, national treasure, the mummy, night at the museum, men in black, fantastic four, jumper, legally blonde, when in rome, white chicks, the dark knight, avatar, inception, bourne series, easy a, date night, crazy stupid love, anything batman, pitch perfect, 21 jump street, 10 things i hate about you etc. the list could go on forever. seriously.
role models: jennifer lawrence because she's hilarious, sarcastic, has the best facial expressions and doesn't care if she's a bit overweight. she is herself and that's all that matters to her. emma watson has made it through her teenage years without doing drugs and actually wanted to get an education. she's beautiful and is very modest and poised. plus she played hermione in which i love dearly. also scarlett johansson doesn't take s**t from interviewers about focusing on her body. she's real and doesn't care about what she eats and if she's considered skinny.
music
i think i consider myself more artistic than sporty these days. i listen to music constantly. my poor laptop can't keep enough energy because i play music, make graphics and on the internet all the time. it's only down time is when i'm at school or work and sleeping. i really didn't know what kind of music i liked until sophomore year when i was sixteen. before it was just overplayed radio music that was extremely mainstream and rap. i loathe rap music. you can't sing along to it and there's no melody or basically anything. i'm more of an alternative/indie music listener. i do like some pop music though, don't get me wrong. i also play the alto saxophone which i've been playing since i was eleven, so seven years. i took private lessons for three years and i was first chair freshmen year and then i just didn't care until this year. i was second chair during my senior year so i was pretty happy. i used to play the piano and would love to reteach myself again since it's a beautiful instrument. the cello sounds gorgeous as well. i do enjoy listening to orchestra music and some of that classical music like bach and beethoven, but not too much since i like to sing to songs lol i love soundtracks too since movies + music = my obsession. i have a few soundtracks from movies like inception and tron since i like that kind of non-lyrical music. hans zimmer has a way with that. and disney. gotta include disney in there. i'm a bit hipster when it comes to music. i like to listen to music before it comes on the radio or become super popular.
music i like: adele, andrew lloyd weber, the black keys, the killers, bruno mars, cage the elephant, chicago, the civil wars, coldplay, dave matthews band, death cab for cutie, fall out boy, florence and the machine, foo fighters, foster the people, fun, gotye, hans zimmer, imagine dragons, jack johnson, john mayer, journey, kings of leon, linkin park, the lonely island, maroon 5, michael bublé, mumford & sons, muse, mutemath, neon trees, of monsters and men, onerepublic, owl city, panic! at the disco, paramore, phil collins, phoenix, the script, spice girls, the strokes, U2, vampire weekend, young the giant, AWOLNATION, and 30 seconds to mars. etc.
so if you read all this, you're pretty cool. i write too much *facepalm*
