DEAR FELLOW COSSUS,
"RAWR IT'S MORRNING!" Kabriel Lilly groaned, rolling over in her bed and covering her mess of dirty blond hair with a pillow. Laughing to herself as she kept her emerald eyes closed she giggled as she poked her head out from under the light pillow-y material and then closed them immediately, shielding them from the sun by lowering the pillow over all sides of her head again. She closed her eyes and lay there for a few more moments until she felt two sharp claws dig into her pillow and she began to kick her legs around, her sheets flying off her small, slim form and she laughed as she heard wings and saw feathers - both owl, and pillow - flying around the room. She removed the pillow from her face and rolled onto her back, staring up at the cheerful form of her barn owl, Lysander, who seemed to be trying to get a little treat from her. She cocked her head at her owl, who copied her and cocked his head the same way. "Whoa, it's like looking in a mirror!" Kabes exclaimed, giggling like a little madgirl. She rolled over, causing her pillow to fall and the owl to hoot uncomfortably as he landed on her shoulder, his claws digging into her pajamas and her arm. "Owwww..." Kabes groaned as she reached for a treat and held it out to his beek. "Alright. You can only have this IF you let me go and chill on your own pirch." she said, grinning. The owl hooted its consent and took the treat before flying off to his little perch on her other side of the bed. She laughed and turned on the world wizard woes which was basically the radio. She changed the channel to a good music channel and recognized a wonderful song by the Weird Sisters and hopped up onto her bed. "SWING AROUND LIKE A CRAZY ELF, A-DANCING BY HIMSELF!" she jumped on her weak bed, turning the radio volume up to it's limit and laughed, "BOOGY DOWN LIKE A UNICORN! DANCING TILL THE BREAK OF DAWN!" she giggled, twirling around before she felt her foot catch in her sheets.
She had about a split second to realize what happened before she landed half on the bed, half on the ground. She groaned and laughed, knowing that there was going to be a major bruise there sooner or later. Sighing, she dusted herself off just in time for the chorus, "CAN YOU DANCE THE HIPOGRIFF, NA NA NAAA NA NA NAAA NA NA NAAAA!" she sang, rather out of tune, her arms in the air as she howled with laughter. Her owl chirped and she beamed at it, her cheeks flushed pink before she untangled herself and dressed to the sounds of Dance the Hipogriff by the Weird Sisters. She found herself wearing a cute blue blouse that represented her darling house, Cossu, and a pair of white shorts that seemed to be suitable for the warm weather they were getting. She put a cute white silk ribbon in her hair and grabbed two wooden bracelets - one thick, one thin - and slid them onto her left wrist. She did a twirl and blew a soft kiss to her owl who sat on his perch overlooking the hurricane disaster zone that was her part of the room. She giggled and headed down toward the Dining chamber.
She spotted a few of her friends the moment she entered the room, but realized she was quite early. Hm. She trotted over to the center of the Cossu table and sat down on the side that was between the Cossu and Rouerie tables. She beamed at the warm, delicious foods that were laid out in front of her and began to pile a bit of everything on to her plate. A few Cossu's looked on, bemused at Kabriel's need for nourishment, and Kabes beamed back, not even watching what was going on her plate anymore. "BREAKFAST, my friends, is the most important-o meal of the day-o. Don't cha think...o?" she giggled as she halted her constant shoveling of food onto her plate. She smiled and glanced down at the pile of waffles, toast, jam, assorted fruits and... was that yogurt sitting on something that looked oddly like unicorn-shaped papaya? Probably, but Yum, did it look good. She picked up her fork and began, prepared for any magical tastes she may discover. After all, it was only natural that something new happened before breakfast ended.
LOVE SEVEN HUNDRED AND SIXTY ONE,

Drée sat up straight in her bed, turning onto her stomach and stretching her back. Her arms reached up, stretching just as her back had. She laid back on her elbows, looking in the mirror at her bedhead and her eyes, which looked like she had just been crying. Ah, well she could have been. For all she knew, she could have gotten up in the middle of the knight and walked the castle. The things she did when she sleeps were definitely a huge mystery to her. She kept her eyes locked on the mirror, running her fingers through her wild, curly hair to try and untangle it. The first swipe through her hair brought about twenty strands of hair, so she decided she would actually get ready. She stood up, her knees popping in the process. Opening a drawer, she found an okay outfit,. She wasn't exactly aiming for supermodel perfection. Her white camp shirt was almost covered by a baby blue shawl cardigan. A simple pair of light blue cut-off jeans hugged her hips. She set her fingers on the pelt loops of her shorts and turned, making sure she looked good. Mission accomplished.
She grabbed her favorite necklace with her name on it and put it around her neck. She almost never wore earrings, so she wasn't surprised when she looked at her ears and the tiny holes were almost completely closed up. If she tried to put on earring, she would end up having to re-make the back of the hole. The front was still there. She found a pair of seemingly ancient flip-flops and slipped them on. She turned off the few lights in her room and pulled the comforter back up on her bed. Her room was pretty clean for her. Her room was usually a pigsty. She closed the door lightly, in fear of one of her fellow Cossus still being asleep.
She walked the long walk to the dining chamber, only to find that she was either late or right on time. There were a few people still sitting down, but other than that the tables were almost full. Andrée navigated the table, finding an empty seat near a few people she knew. She waved a quick hello to some people, then squeezed her way between the tables. She sat down, immediately remembering how hungry she was. She dug through the plate like a hungry racoon, shoveling eggs, toast, fruit, and numerous more things into her mouth. Finally, she stopped to breathe. She took a napkin and wiped a bit of food residue from the corner of her mouth. Ah, she loved this food.

It was very early and Lily was already awake. She could not help it, when she woke up after a very nasty dream that, thankfully, was different from the others she had been having, she just couldn't stay in the bed anymore. She felt the urge to go outside before going anywhere and so she prepared herself. It was quite a cold morning and she dressed up a white blouse with long sleeves, jeans, white slippers with pink stripes on it and in the end a light jacket that was warm enough to keep her comfortable. Then she looked to the mirror and brushed her hair with a soft brush. When it was straight and loose, she went outside the common room and downstairs toward the Dining chamber.
It didn't take too long for her to reach the doors and go inside the chamber. There were only a few people taking breakfast and others seemed to be quite occupied with their studies. She didn't have classes that day, so she was free to do whatever she wanted and it also meant that she had time to have a good breakfast without rushing. Lily walked to the Cossu table and found Kabes and another girl that she thought was called Andrée, but she wasn't quite sure about it. Lily smiled to the blond girl who was eating her breakfast slowly and silently and then sat down in front of Kabes who had a huge amount of food on her plate. Lily giggled before complimenting with an excited voice tone. "HEY Kabes!!" she almost yelled. It was too loud even when she was enthusiastic with something. In consequence, she blushed deeply and kept her head down, feeling quite embarrassed as a few heads turned to see who yelled. Now, silently, Lily took a few of the things in the table, such as assorted fruits, pancakes, bread, bacon, tomato, etc and filled up a cup with tea and another with chocolate-milk. She was quite hungry and she couldn't help it but take everything, it looked all so good. She grinned toward Kabes and Andrée and started eating her pancakes.

She was hungry. She had skipped dinner last night half due to it work and half because it was getting close to a full moon. In a couple of weeks she would be in wolf form, which although fun did have it's down sides, like the cravings for meat and the fleas, definitely the fleas. The thoughts of the full moon had kept her from dinner, she had been thinking so hard, that before she knew it, it was around eleven o'clock at night and although the thought of sneaking down to the kitchen did seem like a good idea, she had decided not to, in case a professor would catch her and deduct points from her house and so now she was starving and craved some nice eggs, sausage, bacon steak, fruit, anything edible just about.
Victoria finally entered the great hall smelling all the delicious foods which was quite easy since her sense of smell was a fair bit above the average human. She looked to the cossu table and saw a few people she knew, Lily, was one of them seeing as she now shared a dorm with her and Kabriel was another that she had only really met once. She saw the food as well and felt like jogging over, unfortunately her knee and elbow still had a few hours at least until they were fully repaired, apparently arms on right angles were harder to mend that the usual broken kind and so she had to wear a cast until around mid day. Since she was unable to run over she walked. Once she arrived she sat next to Lily and smiled at her, the other blond and Kabriel. "Hey" she said while she attempted to get some food while only using one hand. She succeeded and was able to pile, bacon, eggs, sausages, a piece of toast and a small piece of steak that was medium rare, just how she liked it, as well as some fresh fruit. She also got herself a small glass of orange juice and began to use her wand to carefully cut up her food with out breaking the plate.

Danielle woke with a start. She sighed. The bed was unbelievably cosy and all she wanted to do was stay in there until some ungodly hour, but she was incredibly hungry. The smell of bacon had somehow drifted to her dormitory, causing her stomach to groan loudly. Danielle got out of the bed and got dressed into a pair of crop skinny jeans and a sleeveless yellow baby-doll top- ideal clothing for the warm weather.
Danielle pushed open the doors to the dining chamber. The smell of breakfast was overwhelming and reminded her of her mothers cooking. Tears came to Danielle's eyes as she thought of her mother. Blinking back tears, she took a seat at the long Cossu table, next to two blonde girls and a girl with dark hair. "Hello," she said with a smile.
Danielle hummed her favorite song and looked at the variety of food in front of her. She wasn't keen on a heavy meal, as it was so early in the day and her stomach was so sensitive at this time. Danielle put a buttered croissant onto her plate, and poured a strawberry smoothie into her silver goblet, and began eating. The food was piping hot and tasted delicious.

Lily was still eating like a starving wolf when she saw more movement from the big doors that were wide open, waiting for more people to come in. She observed as a few students she didn't know entered and went to their own tables like Sournois and Rouerie tables. The last girl entering the Dining chamber was familiar and when Lily focused her attention on her she finally recognized her. It was Viki, her roommate. They have only met the other day when her dormitory was finally filled to its very top. Now, she had three roommates, all of them unique and lovely. Lily observed Viki as she walked slowly toward the Cossu table. She realized she had something on her leg and wondered what happened. But it wasn't her business, even though they were roommates. Viki sat down next to her and the other two girls and complimented all of them. "Hey Viki. How are you this morning? Starving? Well, count me in. I have so much appetite this morning it seems i've been sleeping for days without eating anything. Quite odd, but maybe my body needs the energy." Lily said with a smile, observing Viki take several things from the plates, especially meat. Maybe she was a fan of meat in the breakfast. Lily liked bacon and sausages, but usually she preferred something fresh and light in the morning, except for that day. Meat and everything else was pilled in her own plate.
Lily was now eating her tomato, bacon and sausages, when another girl approached rapidly the Cossu table. Unlike the other girls, she didn't know this one. She was probably new. Lily smiled at the girl and introduced herself. "Hello. I'm Lily Chernova. Take a seat. The food today is very tasteful, even though it's always tasteful anyway." she said, chuckling with her small stupid joke. She just wanted the girl to feel welcome and more relaxed between them.

It had been a while ever since the last time he had seated amongst those who were meant to be called his peers. If ever so cleverly suited, the Prefect was quite a piece of the puzzle he had himself helped to create. It happened quite a few minutes before he rubbed the corner of his eye with the tip of his finger, just trying to conceive the thought of sharing table with people he wasn’t precisely fond of. Even so, the idea wasn’t that less charming than seating by himself though, despite of the obvious fact he was practically an alone being who wouldn’t get any company if he carried out his attitude. Vass ‘ bearing was quite distant, counter to the closeness French seemed to enjoy, and just for that particular reason, the place itself withheld a certain notion of empathy for him, although no one attempted to get close to him, as if he had some sort of label with bold letters screaming danger to whoever neared him. He couldn’t care less about it, as he just frowned with a smirk; it was hard to know whether he was content or disappointed, yet he never showed it.
Vass walked past the entrance, letting his steps sounded firmly as they touched the floor quite heavily, making his presence noticeable for the rest, receiving some glares upon him, and even some expectant looks, as it was difficult to determine if his intentions were good or mean. The Bulgarian didn’t wince, nor inwardly or outwardly, as he advanced a few metres more reaching the table and grasping the back of the seat skilfully making it twirl once or twice before he halted with the back of seat facing the table and he settled down, replete of ease, ignoring the reactions around him. It provoked a smile upon his features as he leaned slowly to adapt his shape to the seat, getting set comfortably while leaving both arms at the sides of his body, attached to the table. Vass cleared his throat inconspicuously and made an effort not to seem haughty, but his tries were futile, as his sole presence seemed to exude such repute. With garb, the bloke craned his neck straight, making his back curved a little so he could maintain the pose, although it was purely for ingestion purposes, as he couldn’t reach his plate if being otherwise.
The Cossu waited patiently for someone to speak, but as it didn’t occur, he just chuckled and grasped both knife and fork, overlooking the rest of the cutlery resting on the table. Even when the plate was empty, including for the lack of air that didn’t even happen to pass by, he grinned widely, observing the quiet calmed apparition of the food by the thought. In his mind, he had pictured slices of turkey, bathed with an exquisite sauce that obviously, couldn’t be compared. Nevertheless, the outcome wasn’t as bad as he had foreseen it, munching on his first bite he could relish in the delicacy standing before him, making an expression that projected delight. “This is really good” he said to himself, talking to no one and expecting no response; just filling the silence with nonsense words. Vassil swallowed smoothly, feeling satisfied with the food, just glancing briefly at his companions, watching for any kind of aggressive answer – as he wouldn’t contain himself from replying. However, everything was soothed and easy to bear, so he wouldn’t have any issue with anyone for what he calculated would be a lapse from fifteen to twenty minutes, as he could sense it.

Aislin rolled her eyes in annoyance as she struggled to remove a song from her head. She’d listened to a song so much that it had somehow made it into her dream that morning and so, she’d woken up with it in her head. CHARMING. She fumbled around inside her trunk for some clean robes, her rabbit hopping about her feet affectionately. The bass line pounded inside her mind, with electronic whirring noises to boot. Electro was her all time favourite genre and originally this song had been one of her favourites, but this was getting a BIT much… “Arrghh, STOP” She cried in exasperation, scaring Thyme in the process. “Oh, bun, I’m sorry,” she said in a soothing tone before picking her rabbit up and tucking it into her arms, “it was only me”. Her rabbit was, in her eyes, the most adorable and supportive animal that she had ever had the pleasure of owning. There was something truly magical about rabbits! It was no wonder she hoped that she would produce a patronus in the form of a rabbit or a hare when the time came. Though she had not seen her parents conjure their own, she had heard them talking amongst themselves on the topic one afternoon. Her mothers’ was a cat whilst her fathers’ was a fox.
After saying a warm goodbye to Thyme and greeting a few friends on her way down to the common room before exiting the building altogether, Aislin took in the fresh morning air with a sigh of satisfaction. It was brisk, cool yet sunny mornings like this that she enjoyed. There was a bounce in her step and before she could even control herself she belted out, “EVERY DAY I’M SHUFFILIN’” followed by her mimicking of the electronic music in the background. Oh gawd, the song had taken over again… And as soon as she realised what was happening she jumped up and down in annoyance groaning. She didn’t notice the odd glances other students were giving her! Why must she be plagued by this song?! Why?! WHYYYY?!
She made her way directly towards the great hall to eat her breakfast, still aggravated by her heads refusal to reject the song playing in her head. If there was one thing that annoyed Aislin, and there weren’t a great many things that did, it was rogue songs. She plonked herself on the far end of the Cossu table and glanced around at the people already sitting around. Kabes! One of her closest friends! She slid herself along the length of the table chair and greeted her friend happily, totally forgetting about her earlier annoyance. “How are you my dearrrr?!” She exclaimed excitedly. If there was one person who brightened the day of people around her, it was definitely Kabriel Lily!

honey you’re the reason that i get up when my knees are bleeding yeah you bring me back The alarm clock rocketed off the bedside table as it went off. She glanced down at it from her position on the window ledge. Slowly bending down and balancing herself so that she would end up on the floor, she picked up her alarm clock, switched it off and set it back on the bedside table. It was seven o’clock and she’d been awake since four. Rubbing at the delicate skin underneath her eyes, Bonamy yawned. Turning those blue grey eyes back to the window she watched the fog of morning lift, dew wetting the cobblestones of the courtyard. With another yawn she turned away from the window and went to dress in something warmer than her thin pyjamas. Her kitten Pim was still fast asleep on the bed, his small body rising and falling as he softly snored. Glancing around her corner of the room she smiled. She’d spent the evening cleaning up her mess of clothes and shoes and this morning she basked in tidy order. Inspecting her handiwork inside the closet, she selected a foam green dress, stockings and shoes. Grabbing what she needed she headed off to take a quick shower and change.
Stepping out clean and refreshed, Bonamy tiptoed back over to the bed to check on Pim. He was still asleep. Smiling to herself, she tenderly tickled his fur and watched as he awoke, yawning and stretching. “Come on sleepy head. Time to get up,”
she teased, settling down on the bed next to him. Her fingers ran across his small body, stroking gently. Pim purred against her hand and rolled onto his back so that his white belly was exposed. “You daft ...” Bon mumbled affectionately. After tickling his stomach, she got up off the bed and got ready to make her way down to the dining chamber. Saying her farewells to Pim, leaving him cat food for breakfast, she slipped out the door and descended the stairs into the common rooms. It was almost empty, a few students here and there, but otherwise empty. She guessed it was too early in the morning for many people to be up and about, although morning classes started in a good hour. Upon making the dining chamber doors, she paused. Closing her eyes, she made a small prayer to god, wishing for there to be little to no people inside. Although she wasn’t religious, she hoped that someone upstairs might be listening and grant her this. Bonamy greatly disliked crowds and noise, both usually coming hand in hand. Resting one hand at the small of her back she crossed two fingers and pushed open the doors; if god wasn’t listening then maybe lady luck was. To her relief there were only a few students dotted around the tables. Inwardly sighing, she picked her way over to the cossu table and sat down close by a young boy who she didn’t recognise. He didn’t seem interested in her arrival and she wasn’t interested in disrupting his meal. Silently she went about fixing her breakfast before beginning to eat. Glancing down the table she recognised two girls seated by one another, both of whom she’d seen in the common rooms before. One had shoulder length blonde hair and a goofy smile, while the other was a brunette and seemed less goofy. Quite suddenly the boy spoke. Peering at him over her porridge she hid a quick grin. Well she was glad he was enjoying his meal. To be honest hers wasn’t so bad either.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

She was starving. Normally she was stuffing her face every 20 minutes but for some reason it was not the case right then. Granted it was only the morning but still she needed food. Throwing her legs over the edge of her bed she sat up and stretched wide sighing in relief as she heard her muscle pop and unwind themselves. As her eyes adjusted to the brightness of the day and she started to wake up, she debated on whether she should get dressed up or just throw on some jeans and her favorite sweater but the low rumbling of her stomach decided for her. She slowly got up and shuffled towards her trunk and began to get dressed. After she'd done her business in the bathroom she slipped her shoes on and stumbled out of her dorm.
Very few students were out that morning. Elyse figured it was them just catching as many Z's as they could. In fact, more sleep sounded very appealing after she stuffed her face full of wonderfully delicious food. As soon as that thought of food entered her mind she began to think about what they would be serving that morning. Probably everything, she thought dreamily. Her stomach growled even louder than before and she could swear anyone within a five meter distance could hear. Thankfully she was finally approaching the large doors that led to the dining chamber.
Elyse waved to a few people she recognized and smiled at the ones she didn't before sitting down next to a girl with blond short hair. "Morning." she said cheerfully before loading her plate with eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, biscuits, and anything else she could reach on the table. She possibly looked astoundingly gluttonous but she didn't care one bit. And no one else seemed to really care either so it wasn't a bother. After she finished half her plate she pushed it to the side and poured herself a large cup of coffee feeling that she still wasn't awake enough. She glanced to her right and gave the blond another smile. "I don't think we've met before. I'm Elyse." she said happily.

honey you’re the reason that i get up when my knees are bleeding yeah you bring me back Focused on her steaming hot raisin porridge, she almost didn’t notice as someone sat down next to her. Glancing out the corner of her eye she saw a flash of chocolate hair and pale skin. A soft and sweet ‘morning’ sounded from the girl as she settled down in her seat. Bonamy ignored her salutations and concentrated on her breakfast. She’d almost finished her small bowl of porridge and was still feeling hungry. Taking a quick look around the room, she concluded she still had enough time for a bowl of fruit salad before the dining chamber became crowded with students. Checking her watch she would also still have enough time to sprint upstairs and change into her uniform before class. Herbology with Professor Barrington was first up this morning. Bon really enjoyed Herbology and Professor Barrington wasn’t so bad either; a bit strict but not scarily so like the other Professor Barrington. Professor Constance Barrington taught Astronomy and Bonamy would always make sure to sit as far back from the front of the room as she could possibly get.
Shuddering slightly at the thought of her Astronomy class tonight, she leaned forward and spooned some fruit salad into her bowl. Settling back in her seat, she sipped a few mouthfuls of pumpkin juice. Beside her the girl had loaded her plate full of eggs, toast and other titbits, and was getting through it quite quickly. Turning grey-blue eyes back on her fruit salad she ate a few spoonfuls before the girl beside her spoke. Bonamy almost dropped her spoon she was so surprised. Turning around, wide-eyed, she blushed. Elyse, as she’d introduced herself, had long dark hair and large chocolate coloured eyes. Pale skin and bruised lips forced Bon to swallow down hard. Feeling a blush creep up her neck to her ears, she turned away quickly. “Bonamy Summers,”
she mumbled, hoping her voice wasn’t shaking. She’d come across pretty girls before but never had she reacted like that before. It had been some years ago when she realised she wasn’t only attracted to boys; there had been a girl in her class at primary school in Alexandria. The boys in her wild group had found out and laughed themselves silly. It had been embarrassing but deep down Bonamy had been relieved. She had feared that they would have reacted badly and even ignored her after she told them. Nothing of the sort happened though. They’d laughed and teased her, and then everything had gone back to the way it always was. Her family’s response had been a little different. Her father had been dumbfounded. Upon telling them, he’d only scratched the back of his head, saying ‘well... as long as she’s pretty’, before Nhim had frowned, silencing him. His words had sent Bonamy into a fit of giggles. Later on she found her father and showed him a class photo, pointing out the girl she liked. He’d slapped her on the back and pronounced her ‘pretty as a peach’. Glancing at Elyse she bit her lip to stop from smiling. If that girl had been as pretty as a peach, then Elyse was definitely be gorgeous. Gulping down the lump in her throat she forced herself to speak. “Everyone,” she wasn’t sure who ‘everyone’ was but continued anyway, “calls me Bon though.” She forced a smile and hoped she didn’t have fruit syrup on her chin.[/blockquote][/blockquote] outfit here words 562 - - -

"Bonamy Summers." Elyse smiled, it was a pretty name it had a nice little ring to it. Sipping her coffee she listened as the Bonamy informed her that everyone (Elyse assumed her family and friends) called her 'Bon'. Elyse giggled lightly and offered her another smile, "Well Bon, welcome to Beauxbatons. I think you'll like it here very much." she said and set her cup down. Still feeling a bit hungry she pulled her plate back towards her and began eating again. Sure to be polite, she waited until she had swallowed to continue their conversation. "So, how are you liking it here? Are you from France originally?" she asked, her tone interested and chipper. It was always good to meet new people and Bonamy seemed like she was nice so it was possible they could be friends. Maybe even roommates as Elyse still needed to find a more permanent place to stay.
"Oh and you can call me Elyse, or Ellie. That's what everyone calls me." she told her flashing a large smile. "So, i'm assuming you're in Cossu too? What kind of things do you like to do?." Elyse picked her coffee up again and drained what was left before filling it up again, this time with Early Grey tea. She took a big sip from it after adding the right amount of sugar and smiled happily. Food and such really did make her happy, more than most things if she were being honest about it. It was a no fail way to pick her mood up again. That and all her hobbies of course. Now that she was thinking about it, she should have brought her camera with her or at least her sketchbook. She might just pop into her room and grab them after breakfast since she had to go up there to get ready for class anyway.
Turning her attention away from her own thoughts, she turned towards Bon and clutched her tea cup tight. "So what classes do you have today? I have Herbology first, then Care of Magical Creatures...and then a lot more that I'm sure would bore you if I listed them all." she said with another small giggle. Taking another long sip, she sighed softly and glanced out the window debating whether or not she would have time for a stroll before class.

honey you’re the reason that i get up when my knees are bleeding yeah you bring me back Having declared herself an idiot and turning back to her fruit salad, she picked up her spoon and decided she should stay quiet from now on. She would speak as little as possible, only when she had to and be the wallpaper in the background. It was going to be rather easy, she suspected, since she didn’t have anyone here to joke around with. Back home in Alexandria she had all her classes with the boys, and they would be silly and clown around. Although Bonamy was never loud she was quite good at clowning around, and those boys had found that in her and hauled it out. Smiling to herself, she wondered how they were all doing. It had been a while since she’d sent a letter to them and feared she would only be able to send them one during the holidays; she had yet to get her head around the wizard mailing system. The thought of sending owls off to far corners of the earth with her mail seemed ridiculous. And how her boys would react to an owl at their window, with letters declaring she was a witch, she had no idea. Sighing and feeling full, she put down her spoon and pushed away her bowl.
Beside her Elyse giggled. The sound sent butterflies a-fluttering about in her stomach. Then the dark eyed girl smiled at her. Bonamy felt her eyes widen and a sudden urge to jump up and run away. Perhaps she’d keep on running until she reached the lake, where should could cool herself off. Damn it if her ears weren’t red. Underneath her clothes she was boiling and tingles ran about like rogue agents, leaving their mark on her skin. Curling her fingers into fists below the table, she tried hard to get a grip on her body. Her mind was also running rampant and god only knew what she was imagining. It was hard to pull herself together when Elyse chattered away like that. She reminded Bon of a wee chicky; small, innocent and cuddly. Realising she’d just thought of the girl next to her as cuddly she hung her head in shame. What the hell was she thinking? A wee chicky? If time stopped right now, she’d rip out her hair in frustration and embarrassment. Feeling lower than low, all the poor girl wanted to do was to sink into the wooden seat and disappear.
Elyse welcomed her to the school. It was the first welcome she’d received and despite feeling like an idiot, and still picturing a wee chicky before her, it lifted her spirits. Bonamy produced a sweet but shy smile in response and listened on as asked a number of questions. Looking away from Elyse for the moment she contemplated the first question. How was she liking it here? Frowning slightly, she knew she couldn’t answer that truthfully and yet she didn’t condone lying. To be frank she disliked it here. It wasn’t anything about the school she disliked, she simply disliked being in the situation she was in. She disliked not being able to see her family or friends; she disliked the feeling of being isolated and alone, disconnected from everything around her; she disliked the rain cloud which seemed to follow her about day in and day out. Turning back to Elyse, she spoke. “I don’t disagree with this place,”
she said not really sure what to say. “I ... well, I just don’t seem to fit in here” she finished lamely, and with a shrug of her shoulders. “And no, I’m not originally from France. I’m born and bred Egyptian,” she said, unable to prevent a grin from capturing her lips. It was the first joke she’d cracked since arriving here. It was true, by all means, but upon looking at her light hair, eyes and fair skin, one would understandably think she was taking the p*ss. Turning her attention back to her companion she let loose a genuine smile. For the first time she felt relaxed and comfortable. Talking with Elyse had brightened her mood no end and feeling rather spritely, she concluded that today would be a good day after all. Bonamy was surprised by next couple of questions. Glancing at Elyse (or was it now Ellie?) she frowned slightly. Surely since she sat at the Cossu table, she was a member of the Cossu house. It didn’t make sense to her why Elyse would question her own assumption. Forcing her reasonable mind to be quiet she just forced a smile and confirmed that yes, she was in Cossu house. Thinking seriously on the next question, she hesitated again. This poor girl would soon find out that asking Bonamy anything was a bad idea. Her mind was of such seriousness that when asked a question, even a redundant question, she would spend a terribly long amount of time pondering it. Finding her tongue once more, Bon said, “Painting, reading, writing, playing the harp and singing. I also like to wash dishes." Again there was another giggle and Bonamy grew hot under the collar. Trying to focus her ever mutinous mind on the girl’s question, she poured over the mental image of her timetable. Although her memory wasn’t exactly eidetic, she was still able to recall images with excellent precision. She had Herbology this morning as well, and Care of Magical Creatures after that. So she had two classes with Elyse. Closing her eyes for a moment she wasn’t sure if this was a blessing or a curse. Probably a curse, she thought, picturing embarrassing herself in front of her class and professor. Definitely a curse. Sighing, she turned back to Elyse and forced a smile. “I have Herbology first and then Care of Magical Creatures too. We’ll probably be a quite a few classes together since we are in the same house and year,” she presumed. Turning away from the dark-eyed beauty, Bonamy groaned quietly. Why, oh why was this happening to her?[/blockquote][/blockquote] outfit here words 996 - - -

Elyse nodded as Bonamy explained her dislike for the school, well not the school really just the feeling one gets when they first start out. Elyse bit her lip in thought. She often felt that way as well, and she'd been here for a while. She didn't have too many friends at her school and the ones she did she rarely saw anymore. Not to mention Zakaria who had just up and left with no notice. He'd been the boy she'd fallen for, the boy she thought everything would work out with and instead she left brokenhearted. Again. The thought threatened tears and she shoved it away. Stop blubbering you stupid girl. she told herself. Now was not the time to fall apart because of a boy who left months ago. "Well you'll like it soon," Elyse told Bonamy, "It's a bit hard to get used to at first. The place is a bit overwhelming but soon it'll be for good reasons instead of bad ones." She sipped her coffee and listened as Bonamy answered her second question.
"That's so amazing!" she exclaimed in fascination. She didn't acknowledge the fact that Bonamy looked nothing like some might think a person from Egypt looked like simply because it didn't matter one damn bit. The plain fact was that it was cool and Elyse was excited to have a friend from such an exotic place to her. Wait, was Bonamy her friend now? They'd only just met so she couldn't tell at that moment as they didn't know enough about each other to really have any type of friendship. Elyse glanced sideways at Bonamy (Bon?) and listened as she described, in a very direct and serious way, all the things she enjoyed to do. Elyse nodded like an idiot the entire time as she listened to everything Bonamy said. Washing dished huh? What an interesting hobby she thought and smiled internally. She guessed everyone had their weird habits, she knew she did.
She drained her mug and Bonamy rattled off her schedule for that morning. "Sweet! We have class together!" she shouted and threw her hands up in the air. A faint whiff of apples and roses drifted around them and Elyse smiled. It was only smell, besides the smell of food, that brought her true happiness. Its smelled of her grandmother Polina. It was weird moment to be doing what she was, but Elyse was a weird girl and anyone that knew her knew that.
