she'd spent her time locked away in her room, shades closed and door locked. the school had seemed to exist no longer. students seemed to file out like it was burdened with plague. not her, however. apart of her wanted to leave, go back home and find some other sort of happiness beside being cooped up and alone.. but something tugged at her heartstrings; to stay, to remain apart of the school. surprisingly, though, today was so much different. a spark within her had forced her to get out of bed, open the shades, and dress like a human being. the day had barley begun, and the sun kissed the treetops, birds sang loud and clear once the window had opened. marionette had not felt this good in so long, and as she dressed, she whistled along with the birds who seemed to now be singing to her. she was unaware of where the day would take her, but wherever that was would be just fine. finishing her outfit off with a beanie, the girl called to her cat and opened the door. offering the lithe creature a smile. today will be grand, huh, amelle? she addressed the cat quietly, as if it was a friend.
her morning had consisted of walking around the courtyard and admiring the autumn colors. it was her favorite season, to see the colors and even something as odd as the change in peoples clothing. she was dressed pretty casually, and since the chill had resided from how it was that morning, she didn't dress too heavy. actually, she was enjoying her day with each passing breath she took. pointless conversations with the wind and the skies. a few people greeted her, cautiously, of course, for she was quite the nomad. but instead of being rude or snappy like usual, she greeted them with a cheerfulness. many knew of her as the girl with many faces. having split personality disorder was a burden; though the two who usually resided within her had been quieted by medication sent by her parents. what it was, she didn't know. sometimes it made her loopy and other times it made her sick. but either way, the voices only existed within the abyss of her mind. sometimes, she missed their guidance or friendship. but something about them was unsettling, almost as if they were real people that she'd just shoved away. either way, they were gone. for now.
her travels stopped when she came to the end of the path, which had lead her to the lake. cold, murky waters didn't seem as inviting as they did when she had come in the beginning of spring. she'd heard of things living beneath it's black blanket, which was quite peculiar. was something living with the waters, undetected by the naked eye? true or not, it was enough to call her cat away from the waters edge. you can never be too careful. she warned softly, leaning against a tilted tree, and crossing her legs. marionette gazed upon the lake with curiosity, mentally asking if anyone was around, though she couldn't hear any fallen leaves crunching against steps. but truly, that meant nothing. a pang of loneliness stung her heart as she sat there.. chuckling, hello. she said to whoever was around to here it, head falling down and eyes piercing the cold ground.

A star ball. A ball shaped object in which people can put memories inside, although once done so you personally forget the memory forever. However, the memory inside the ball still remains, can still be viewed by outsiders and yourself, even if one does not remember it. However, the more it keeps getting played the more and more likely that the memory inside the ball starts to get erased forever too. But of course that, as a whole, as only one of the many usages for a star ball, and he even had more down in his common room. Stealing people's memories just to use and watch at his own discretion... well, generally he didn't even need any outside objects for that, but this seemed better than television in his eyes anyway, and the more chaotic the memory the better a mood it put him in.
Drystan was gazing boredly at the orb - a memory which he had randomly taken from a student and it was not at all as interesting as he hoped it would be - his gaze occasionally drifting over to where the ground was below and students were filing out of the school, or perhaps inwards for whatever reason. Oh, wasn't it mentioned that he was sitting on the rooftop above the school entrance hall. All four long fox tails floating behind him on the thin breeze that made up here colder than down there. At the moment all he wanted were no distractions, to just take what he wanted and be pleased with the results. But no he was bored, and it was thanks to that one very dull student he took the memory from. Why the hell would such a mundane person have to live? Even he wouldn't have noticed what was taken.
Drystan stood up, the strands of his autumn coloured hair moving as he did so, and his ideally matched eyes focusing into the distance. He was looking for someone, but he didn't really bargain it was someone who he was more familiar and acquainted with, on some twisted levels. A smirk appeared on the mouth that had started to become a scowl. Ah well, looks like things are gonna pick up today, he thought, his hand on his head as he smoothed his hair down which was getting slightly messier, not that he minded of course. He almost sounded even slightly normal as he thought that, not a trace of anything murderous at present. The iris' of Drystan's eyes became slits, became more fox-like as his smirk got more manic. "Fun time," he whispered.
With a swish of his four tails, he vanished, a cloud of white smoke obscuring him as he went, and a second later he appeared behind a tree near the lake. He peered around the tree to see if he had indeed got the destination right, it wasn't as if he exactly knew where she was going. Maybe one day when he eventually took over her body he'd know what she was thinking, until then... he'd have to rely on guess work. Drystan's expression turned sour upon thinking of that. Resuming looking back at the girl, he noticed she had a cat, which made him all the more distasteful, he wasn't very fond of such creatures. But it was now or never, she seemed to be quite relaxed and unsuspecting, which is the way this fox preferred things. "Well look who it is, never thought I'd run into you here, Netski-chan!"
Drystan said quite loudly as he stepped out behind the tree and started walking towards her, his voice dripping with what appeared to be sarcasm. As he walked he barely even made a noise; that's supernatural creatures for you, or at least when it comes to kitsune they can float just enough off the ground not to make either a sound or let anyone notice that they were doing it. He stopped walking when he reached the waters edge, he cast a hateful glare at her cat which seemed to have the sense to stay away. "Damn furballs..." he growled under his breath before half turning to look at Nettie again. "You seem to be wondering what's lurking in the lake, want me to throw you in so you can have a close encounter with it?" Not even he was sure if he was serious or not, but whenever he did feel this way he just assumed he was anyway and went ahead with it. He presumed that Marionette wouldn't really go quietly when it came to being chucked into the lake for an unknown monster though. Shame. Seemed like a fascinating idea, for him at least. WORDS! 779 STATUS! Complete TAGS! Marionette~ NOTES! It'll get better >< INSPIRATION! The Killers CREDITS! - i'll build my words out of your demise - You never have been the biggest sweet-talker, she said to him as she turned a shoulder. Her heart raced and her eyes adjusted, flats skidding against the ground. He had appeared without a sign, without a word, without anything, as usual. Her eyes narrowed at his talk to her cat, but she stayed quiet as her heart slowed. And, it did. The girl shifted, whistling and the cat waddled over to her. Drystan was a tricky person to be around, to associate with.. He was so different and part of that scared her. The twos relationship as friends and maybe something more teetered and changed daily. He drove her insane. As if she didn't have enough problems, right? Speaking of, she could feel the anger inside of her. Two souls stirred in her mind, awakened by the talking and sarcasm, though Marionette had gotten much better at controlling them and keeping them away. Life had just begun to get better. Of course until he had stepped in and began talking again, "You seem to be wondering what's lurking in the lake, want me to throw you in so you can have a close encounter with it?" his voice stung at her, and she looked at him. Just stared.
Of course she was angry, boiling inside of herself. For another few seconds, she stayed quiet, and then shrugged her shoulders, as if to say she wouldn't care. Some part of her was well aware he'd know different, so instead, Why don't you take a swim with me, Drystan? You don't seem to be afraid of much.. Knowing full well of the risk of getting thrown, she stepped towards him, hands tucking inside her front pockets and shoulders popping up. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Amelle stare, interest well known on her cat like features. Actually, she didn't know what she'd do when she reached him. So many feelings and things ran through her mind at the same time.. and actually, a certain name popped into her mind. Willow. Who was this girl she had suddenly heard so much about? His wife, his companion, his partner? Apart of her suddenly engulfed in a flamey rage, the rest of her remained calm. The stories of the two were so mixed up in the gossip, and she knew exploding wouldn't get any answers. For now she'd keep quiet. Though she did finally reach him, enough to reach out and take him by the hands. With that, she pushed into his chest, both their hands being pulled into her bosom. Head laid on his chest, and she stood there. Wouldn't you like that, Drystan? A swim?
Blue hair fell into her face, cat meowed, girl closed her eyes. The wind blowing a bit and pulling at her face, she could feel the cold, creeping along her underdressed body. She hadn't expected anything less, though. Autumn weather was bipolar, had many faces, so much like herself. It was her favorite season, and quite honestly it had always been that way. She enjoyed it's voices and talks, the birds who cried, all alone, as their families flew away. The loneliness they felt always got to her, but she'd watch them finally fly off. In her mind, they now searched for their own way of living. A new family. Maybe even finding the one they had lost. Her mind was just a bundle of randomocity and personal journals that she only had the key to. That made her smile into his chest, looking up. Tell me, pretty boy, she whispered, what are you really doing here? You must have known I'd be here.

She looked calm, almost as if she had a poker face on. In contrast to the leer and smirk Drystan always wore. Of course he found the lack of expression very interesting and amusing, he knew deep deep down though she was either a brewing storm or a simpering poppy - at the moment though it may have been the former, he wasn't always sure when it came to her though, she never usually did release much of that built up anger and resentment towards him, and he was sure that one day it would all explode and aim at his direction. His eyes narrowed at the thought, extremely intrigued by the thought. Until then, he'd have to have all the fun he could by pressing as many buttons as he could. What could be more fun than messing with people, screwing with them, using them and then finally throwing them around until they broke, like the simple-minded dolls that they are!
The look the kitsune wore gave way to a look of insane madness for a minute, though that only lasted for a minute. Such thoughts usually cased him to act in such a way, until the true fun began, the true fun that wasn't just a mere thought. He made sure of that. "Hush dear,"
he whispered as he learned towards her, but not quite as they were still several steps away from one another. "I'm probably the sweetest, most kindest person you will ever meet." His tongue snaked out to lick his lips, a sly look on his face as he turned to look back at the lake. Behind him, he heard Nettie speak and then take a step or two towards him, which made him arch a delicate eyebrow. He turned slightly, surprise barely showing on his features as she gabbed his hands and rested her head against his chest. Now what? Usually he didn't have people coming this close to him. Anger rose up in him simply from the thought of being cornered, which only showed as a flicker of annoyance on his face. Drystan simply glared down at her, eyes reduced to slits and his hair whipping around his face as he heard her repeat his question back at him, in so many words. A swim? Him? He hated the thought of that, hell, he didn't even know if he could swim, he certainly never bothered to try it before either. "I think I'll pass, if it's all the same to you," he replied stiffly. "Though if you want, I can watch if you'd like, I'm sure you'd like to show off yourself in very little clothes wont you? I promise I will try not to completely damage your furball while you're doing so either~" He smirked slightly at her, looking almost pleasent. Which quickly changed as the cat meowed and he turned his head to give it a contempt filled glare. Why the hell did she have it out with her anyway? He thought cats normally went around and did their own thing instead of sitting around like a trained dog. "Tell me, pretty boy, what are you really doing here? You must have known I'd be here."Drystan turned back to look at her, feeling her gaze on his face. Why did he come here again? Oh yes, it was so simply screw around with her, wasn't it? The thought of it again sent adrenaline rushing through him again, the feeling of it made him end up giving her a crooked smile. "Well now, that is a question, isn't it?" he hissed, regaining control of himself and forcefully shoving her away, taking a step back himself, but not one big enough to send him plowing into the lake - that would have been a mistake he would have taken ages forgetting. "Where I go and what I do isn't down to you, is it now, my dear Marionette?" His eyes darkening he quickly walked to her and closed the distance between them so that they were in a similiar position as before. "Oh yes!" he started again, his eyes widening so that they seemed quite mad again. "I was wondering, even though it is kinda weird. Would you want to go out with me something? Yessssss, it is rather a strange request, but I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. After all, if you're willing to have the type of friendship we have now, wouldn't it be better if we were dating too?!" he ended up finishing with a chilling laugh. It quickly stopped and he smirked as he looked down upon Nettie. Already, though they weren't really involved, he was possessive of her and they shared moments on occasion, so why not make it official? It was an odd feeling for him too, relationships with him were unheard of, and the last marriage he was involved in he was pretty much forced into. No, usually he just took what he wanted and never saw any need for commitment or relationships. Then again... commitment? That didn't necessarily come with a relationship did it? Surely not. Either way, if it was official Nettie would surely be his to own, his own cute little trophy... like an anime figurine! He did his best not to laugh again and just looked down at Nettie, curious to hear any points or opinions on the topic he just brought up. WORDS! 897 STATUS! Complete TAGS!
