Kabes and Aislin were the best of friends. They were like kangaroo babies in the same pouch (if that were even possible) and they were even better friends when separated for a long period of time before being thrust together in the spirit of awesomeness. Kabes gallivanted often through the enchanted woods, but today she decided that it was time for an adventure waterside! She frolicked through the grounds and made her way towards the stables. Beaming at the beautiful horses, she spotted the one which she tend to ride a lot. The school was able to keep horses of students at the school, but since Kabes herself couldn't afford a horse (let a lone a rocking horse) she managed to gain the trust of one of the school's horses; Beau.

"Has anyone taken you for an adventure lately?" she cooed to the dear creature. With no certain response of any kind, Kabes softly brushed his hair back and smiled when her fingers ran along the white spot that was right at the bottom of his mane in the shape of a lighting bolt. Weird how he hadn't been named 'Lightning' because of it - perhaps it was too generic for the former Stable Boy who chose a much more suitable name for the beauty. Kabes smiled and gave him a quick kiss before running off to where the reigns and the saddles were kept. She had learned in time how to prepare a horse for riding and she often wished she was able to take him away to her home whenever she left, he was just so loveable to her!

Just as she finished getting him all ready, she heard someone else approaching. Turning around, she beamed at the sight, "ANGELFACE! I MISSED YOU!" she startled a few of the horses around Beau but she ran forward nonetheless. She flung her arms around the neck of the girl and laughed, "Come with me on an epic adventure of fantasticalness." she grinned, jumping up and down in excitement at seeing Aislin again, it had been much too long. She could barely remember the last adventure they had, and knowing Kabes, that in itself was the purest of tragedies.

Aislin was always especially excited to spend time with Kabers. There was something utterly mental about that brunette girly, and that was exactly what she admired about her friend the most. However, recently they had not come into contact, which was strange considering they went to the same school and all, and the same House... Actually, the whole idea of not seeing Kabes out and about was insane. Aislin had not been outside of her dorm room much, though, to be fair. And so, in a sudden burst of excitement paired perhaps with a subconscious desire for trees and plants and creatures and whatnot after suffering profound cabin fever, Aislin made her way towards nowhere in particular.

After a time, she found herself meandering towards the comforting sound of snorting and other such horsey noises; the enchanting smell of horse poo filled her nose and she felt she could taste it too, to take things are rather disgusting step further. This didn't worry her though, because absence makes the heart grow fonder. Even, apparently, for essence of poop. She'd forgotten how much she'd missed horses. Making a bee-line for a dappled grey horse sticking it's fluffy head out of its stable (a horse she recognised as being Bertie ONE OF HER MOST FAVOURITEST HORSES IN THE ENTIRE WORLD) she pushed her hair from her face and prepared herself for a giant fussing of said horse.

That being said, something (or someone) far more fascinating grabbed Aislin's attention. Like clockwork, the figure had noticed her, too and instantly called out. Aislin, in a fit of happiness and excitement, exclaimed, "KABRIEL LILLY, YOU BEAUTIFUL CRAZY WOMBAT, YOU. Where have you been hiding?!" She bolted towards her friend who had already embarked on her attack and soon the girls were glued together, Aislin enveloping Kabes in a wondrous bear hug. Grinning and nodding in agreement with Kabes' proposal, she replied, "that sounds perfecto!" and without further ado she assembled all of Berties bits and pieces and started tacking up. "THIS WILL BE THE BEST EEEVVVEEEEEEERRRRRRR!!"

Aislin was the most exciting person to Kabriel. She was always so energetic and imaginative. It was weird to not spend more time with her, but it was always the way, wasn't it? Meeting someone, adoring one another instantly and for years... and then losing touch. It wasn't uncommon in a school like Beauxbatons oddly enough. One got absorbed in their own day-to-day activities and sort of forgot about everyone else. Kabes wasn't really surprised that it had happened, but she had always found it rather tragic that it did.

The girls and squealed and hugged each other, as though it had really been years since they had last spoke. Somehow, when not seeing her for so long, it felt like they were just picking up from where they last left off. It was refreshing and wonderful and Kabes couldn't love Aislin more for it. "WE'RE GOING TO SEE THESTRALS. Well, not see them. I won't. Guh. They're so sad. But like... if you touch their faces, they're so... weird feeling. Wouldn't it be interesting to see a thestral? It'd be sad cuz that'd mean you saw something die..." she trailed off and shook out her blonde tresses. "ANYHOW, we'll go by the lake, how about that? I know there's a really nice cliff to overlook and such. I hope I don't fall off," she chuckled. The last time she had ridden one of the horses, she had managed to get herself nearly killed... thankfully this wouldn't be the case again. Well, hopefully.

Kabriel brushed down Beau's sides and gave him a big hug before the girls got ready for their adventure. Kabes set up the saddle and everything (with a little help from Aislin because she wasn't a very good rider) but once she was done, she was able to get herself mounted, despite her height. Being with Aislin was wonderful because the girls were about the same height. Although, Aislin was still a little shorter than herself, Kabes was only a mere five foot four (and a half, she would argue). Once the girls got going, Kabes began to feel more excited and yet more relaxed at the same time. A combination of Beau and Aislin managed to drive the girl to extends that she didn't think were even possible. "We should race." she stated, knowing full well that she may kill herself again, "Wouldn't it be fun? Just to the end of the trail before the meadow at the end." she added, knowing that if they raced towards the cliffs, she'd probably end up falling off or something.
