because here we are again , WHEN I LOVED YOU SOB E F O R E Y O U L O S T T H E O N E R E A L T H I N G Y O U ‘ V E E V E R K N O W N- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - She was so tired of the crying.
On her desk sat a pile of over 20 letters, all addressed to her boyfriend Rue and every single one returned back to her from her small black cat, Lola. It had been 3 weeks since she had returned to the school and she had been trying tirelessly to get back in touch with her boyfriend…well, if they still were that. She knew she had left him pretty abruptly; no goodbye letter was sent nor any explanation once she was back home in England. It was difficult, especially now, to find the words to explain to Rue why she hadn’t been keeping in touch. Telling him the “why” she had left would be the easiest of all.
Her mother died. Her only mother, the woman who gave birth to her, and the woman whose eyes Leah inherited, had been taken away from her far too soon. Leah received the news and, in a matter of hours, her entire room was packed and she was headed on the first flight she could possibly book back to England. Writing a letter to Rue in that time span was impossible, because all she wanted to do was get home and see her mother for one final time. As it was, she had barely made it in time before her mother had drawn her final breath. When all was done, Leah was so numb that she couldn’t even think about school or any other the people there…even Rue.
A week had passed and Leah was more than sure that she was ready to return home. But her father still needed her. He was suffering…his wife of over 20 years had been taken from him and he honestly had no idea what to do with himself. Leah felt so immensely guilty for wanting to escape from home so quickly, that she stayed. Before she knew it, she was playing the parent and had to take care of her father. Again, no letters had been able to be written.
Now here she was, back at Beauxbatons and ready for her life to go back to what it was before she had left. And yet, the one person she had wanted to see was no where to be found. Leah had asked everyone in their house, even friends that the two of them shared---nothing. It was like Rue had fallen off the face of the earth just like she had and was refusing to be found. The small Muggle girl was tired of her letters being returned to her and she began to cry, knowing she had ruined everything that ever made her happy. Rue was the love of her life and yeah, she knew she pissed him off by leaving how she did, but could it be possible that he left because she left? That he was so angry with her he didn’t want anything to do with her anymore?
Leah sat on her bed, staring at her window but not really noticing what was outside of it. Her thoughts were solely focused on Rue, the man she thought she could possibly marry someday. The man she loved and hurt so badly that all her letters were being returned because he was nowhere to be found. Her cat tried to cuddle up against her and she sighed. ”Not now, Lola,”
[/b] she told her, trying to push her away. Would it hurt her to try one last time to get in touch with him? She got up from her bed and walked over to her desk, taking a seat and letting out a deep exhale. She grabbed another piece of paper and a pen and began her note. Rue, I know that I’ve hurt you and I know you may never forgive me for what I have done to you, but please give me the chance to explain. If you receive this, please meet me at the Moonstone Bridge tonight around 7? I won’t bother you again after this.
Love always, Leah She called Lola over to her and the black cat meowed as she made her way over to her owner. ”Last time, Lola. I promise. Try and find Rue and give this to him.”[/b] she instructed. She watched her black cat trot out of her dormitory and hoped that the cat would return without the letter In her mouth. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote] 732 WORDS rue ribbery TAGGED PANIC! It had been an odd couple of months for Rue Ribbery. Between leaving school for an undisclosed amount of time, only to return recently, and dealing with his personal family issues, it was surprising he had even come back. Rue was ready to start life after school, but he decided to come back to school. It would be for the better, with an education, he could at least find a solid wizarding job. Rue was a pretty bright guy, but who would hire someone who hadn't finished school? Rue didn't even know what he wanted to do after school, so he could take the time to actually decide what it was he wanted to do with his life. He had fallen behind in his classes, teachers changed, explaining was done. Those in positions of authority understood Rue's plight and he was allowed to return to school. At least that was going well for him. Now he needed to return to the swing of things. It might take a while, but it was at least something. He could of decided to waste away somewhere back home, but he didn't. It was a step in the right direction.
The other thing Rue hadn't really thought about much was Leah. Months ago the two of them were in a stable relationship, the one stable thing in his life that wasn't school. She had just....up and left the school without any word. He had felt betrayed. She didn't even send a letter explaining anything. It worried Rue that she had left so abruptly, had something happened to her? Where had she gone? These were the things he was thinking about in during his absence from school and while he was back home. Rue couldn't understand why she hadn't felt it necessary to inform him, her boyfriend, as to her whereabouts. In turn, Rue hadn't shared with her where he was or would be going. He didn't even let her know that he was back at school when he returned. After his return, he started to receive letters, but he never accepted them. He had no reason to, especially since he was not aware as to who was sending them. Rue felt that if someone wanted to contact him, they could come and find him themselves.
A quiet sigh came from Rue that afternoon as he lay on his bed. He was tired, very tired from the day. Getting used to going back to classes, adjusting to a new sleep schedule, it was all very tiring. Rue decided to use his free period to relax and maybe take a nap. He had spent the last three nights staying up quite late, unable to fall asleep. Soon he would be adjusted to his normal sleep pattern, but not today, not yet. Rue was flipping through his notes from the day before when he was approached by the same cat who had approached him days earlier. "You again." he said to the cat. The cat offered him another note, today, he decided to oblige and take the note and shooed the cat away. Opening the letter, he read it slowly. It was from Leah. She had returned to school, around the same time as he had apparently. Well this was a revelation. It was most likely her that had been sending all of those notes to him. Well now he felt terrible. She was trying to reach out to him and he just ignored all of her letters.
She wanted to meet tonight at seven and he wouldn't have a problem with doing such. When the time came, Rue got himself dressed and started down towards the Moonstone Bridge, note in hand. Rue was anxious about seeing Leah again. It had been so long since he had seen her last. What was he going to say to her? What was she going to say to him? He would find out in due time it seemed. Rue paced nervously along the bridge as he waited for Leah to arrive. The note was folded up and slipped into the back pocket of his jeans. Rue ran a hand through his hair slowly as he let out a quiet sigh during his wait. Was she going to show or was this an elaborate ruse perpetrated by someone looking to get a laugh at Rue's expense? Only time would tell and hopefully it would tell him something he wanted to hear.

because here we are again , WHEN I LOVED YOU SOB E F O R E Y O U L O S T T H E O N E R E A L T H I N G Y O U ‘ V E E V E R K N O W N- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Leah nervously sat crossed legged on her bed, her blue eyes staring at the door to her dormitory. She was waiting for Lola, her cat, to arrive after having sent Rue another note asking him to meet her at around 7. Her blue eyes flickered to the white watch on her wrist for a moment before returning swiftly to the front door. It was already 6:30. What if Lola came back with her letter? Leah wasn’t very sure what she would do at this point. She was incredibly upset with herself: granted, things happened but she went about it the entirely wrong way. She should have at least sent Rue a letter once she was home explaining the situation of what had happened. She also shouldn’t have stayed away for so long.
Who knew where their relationship was right now or if it even existed! She felt her stomach twist into a knot. Rue had been nothing but kind to her since day one. She had protected him in the forest when they were forced to work on a Herbology project together and the two had been inseparable since. He made her come alive. He made her feel like she was the single most important woman on the world. He made her feel a hell of a lot more loved than she ever felt from her late husband, Daniel.
Husband
Leah grabbed a pillow and jammed it in her stomach, leaning forward and squeezing tightly. Everyone thought that the two of them would get married someday. Deep down, Leah had thought so too, though she would never have admitted to something like that aloud. Sometimes, it was difficult for her to discern Rue’s feelings regarding the rumors. He would joke about it, which lead Leah to believe that maybe he wasn’t into the idea. She kind of brushed it off that he was confused about her feelings regarding it as well, but she just wasn’t sure.
The small pitterpatter of feet caught her ears and she sat up abruptly, her eyes immediately falling on the little cat making her way back to her corner bed…with no letter in her mouth. Leah shot out of bed. Rue got her letter. He got her letter and he may or may not be down by the Bridge waiting for her. She glanced at her watch again. 6:50pm Crap! She was already decently dressed, although it wasn’t the prettiest outfit in the world to go and meet up with your maybe-still-boyfriend. She had on a pair of baggy black sweatpants, tan boots, and a pink long sleeve t-shirt. She didn’t have time to change, seeing as it would already take her about 10 minutes to get to the Bridge. She grabbed her grey coat and white scarf off of her dsk chair, put them on, and left her dorm.
She was already late, which certainly did not speak well for her. Here she was, asking him to meet up with her, and she was running late. At five minutes after seven, Leah’s blue eyes caught the figure of a male pacing back and forth on the bridge. Leah’s breath caught. This night could either go really well or really badly. She slowly and quietly approached, trying not to startle him as his back was turned to her. ”Rue,”
[/b] she said softly, trying to turn her lips into a smile but failing miserably. ”Umm…thanks for coming to meet me. I didn’t think you were going to.”[/b] She was so nervous, her hands were starting to shake. This was going to be a long night. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote] 599 WORDS rue ribbery TAGGED PANIC! Rue wasn't even sure what he was doing here at the moment. Though, he probably would of been here at an earlier date if he had taken that cat's notes sooner and this would of been all said and done sooner. However, that wasn't the case. Rue had opted to ignore the previous notes, for what reason he could not recall. Maybe it was out of a feeling of betrayal or maybe he was just mad. Rue didn't quite actually know why he came down here tonight. Yes, it had been months since he had last seen Leah and he should of been more excited about seeing her tonight, but he couldn't get past a certain level of excitement. It was more of a feeling of anxiety than excitement, mostly because he wasn't sure how tonight would end up. He was still debating whether or not he should just leave and send a note via owl, there was still time to head back up to the school without her knowing that he was actually waiting for her. That would be a pretty terrible thing to do and very uncharacteristic for Rue, so he wouldn't be doing that, no matter how mad or upset he was. There was no easy way to go about it, he and Leah needed to talk, needed to see one another, as it had been a painfully long time since they had last saw one another.
It was getting closer to seven and Leah still hadn't shown up yet. What was up with that? Had she planned on not showing up as a sort of revenge for him not accepting her previous notes? If so, that seemed very fair, though it was a minor inconvenience to Rue. Leah wasn't the kind of girl to just leave Rue waiting down here for her, just like he wasn't the kind to leave when he had agreed to meet her down here. It was safe to assume that if she was actually going to show up, she was running late. Rue would give her the shadow of a doubt because if she really wanted to see him, she would get herself down here as soon as possible. This was her idea, right? He found it a little funny and a bit like her to be late to something she had set up. A sigh came from Rue as the waiting continued. He was hoping she would show up soon, he really wanted to see her. "Where are you...." he said to himself as he paced about the bridge slowly, hands in his pockets. She knew he was down here waiting for her, right? Better question....the note said tonight, didn't it? It didn't say another night did it? If it did, then this was certainly embarrassing for him. He was planning on giving her a few more minutes before he considered heading back up to his room.
Some of Rue's questions had been answered as the minutes passed and he had heard the familiar voice of the girl who he had at one point considered his girlfriend. So he had the right night and she was showing up. Rue turned slowly to face her, staying where he was situated for a moment. The first time he had seen her in months and she still looked as radiant as ever. "Of course." he said as he took a few steps towards her. Rue noticed her hands were shaking, understandably so if she was nervous. When he was close enough, he took both of her hands within his and gave them a gentle squeeze. "There's no need to be nervous Leah." he said to her, trying to put her at ease. "I was starting to think you weren't going to show neither, but here you are and here I am." he added as he looked into her eyes, the same eyes he had fallen in love with months ago. Rue was still a bit anxious himself, but he managed to keep it under wraps for the time being. He was just glad that she was here and safe.

because here we are again , WHEN I LOVED YOU SOB E F O R E Y O U L O S T T H E O N E R E A L T H I N G Y O U ‘ V E E V E R K N O W N- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Rue slowly turned around to see her and, the moment her blue eyes locked with his, she felt a fluttering in her stomach. He looked the same as ever, not that people really change that much over the course of a year. He didn’t look emaciated or ill like she did; he actually looked quite content and, maybe, even a little happy. Deep inside, Leah was happy to see him doing so well. The pain she thought she had caused him was not apparent on his face or in the way he carried himself, which was definitely a good thing. However, the little selfish part of her felt like maybe he just didn’t care enough about her to even care that she had left him for so long. Either that or he had already moved on. Both of those ideas made her want to vomit from the anxiety of it all. Honestly, what she had done was no one’s fault but her own and, if Rue had moved on and wanted nothing to do with her, then she did it all to herself.
His expression said nothing about how he was feeling right in that moment. It was not until he stepped closer to her and took her shaking hands in his that she felt even the slightest glimmer of hope. There was no way Leah was going to read that much into his actions though; no matter how much she wanted to, she just couldn’t. He probably just noticed how nervous she was and, being the nice guy that he was, wanted to comfort her in some way.
There's no need to be nervous Leah. I was starting to think you weren't going to show neither, but here you are and here I am.
Leah nodded her head, her blue eyes leaving his for a moment to look at exactly what “here” was. Moonstone Bridge hadn’t changed a bit since she had last come here either. It seemed like everything changed, and yet everything was the same. ”Just to think the last time we were here, things were so perfect and beautiful,”
[/b] she thought aloud, flickering her eyes back to him and letting go of his hands. Thank you for coming here and giving me the chance to explain myself. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for you to make this decision, especially after what I did to you.”[/b] Leah walked over to the closest railing of the bridge and leaned against it, placing her hands in her pockets and sighing. It was so cold she could see her breath. Maybe she should have chosen a warmer place to discuss this with Rue. There was no use in waiting to begin telling him what she had wanted to since her return. She was frightened that maybe he wouldn't care about what she had to say or why she was gone. Leah tried to think back on all of their previous frights and shook her head. Both of them had messed up : Rue was in love with his married best friend and then there was that whole Indigo girl incident when he had broken his arm. It just seemed drama had always been testing their relationship from the beginning. But Leah loved Rue so much that she felt sick every time things went wrong. He had shown up in her life when she hadn't needed him and stuck around when she did. She was just a messed up girl, but Rue loved her all the same through everything. She just hoped that he could think back on all the challenges they faced and forgive her for this. But she supposed there were only so many things you can forgive before you tired of forgiving them. ”My mom died,”[/b] she began simply, knowing that alone was not going to be enough to explain why she had left for a whole year. ”My dad was incredibly beat up and so was I, so I decided to stay in England with him for awhile. I saw how my mom’s death affected him and literally thought that if something like that happened to me, you would feel the same pain and so decided I couldn’t contact you and let you get too attached. Of course I see how stupid that was considering how much you loved me and I loved…love you. But at that time in my deep sorrow, I truly felt that way. I let myself believe that leaving and refusing any sort of contact between us was better.”[/b] Leah looked at his face, unable to read the emotion written on it. She decided to continue. ”I was miserable in England. I tried making friends, going to a new school, and, meanwhile, my mind always wandered back to you and what you were doing and how you were feeling. I came back for you, Rue Ribbery. And I understand that I may have put you through complete and utter hell. Despite all that, I still love you with all my heart and can see myself with no one else but you for the rest of my life."[/b] So there it was. Leah admitting that, one day, she wanted to marry the kid. It didn’t even need to be marriage. As long as she could be with him no matter where he went, she would be completely and undeniably satisfied. She shrugged her shoulders. ”After everything I put you through and hearing this explanation, if you’ve moved on, I don’t blame you and we can part as friends if you so choose. Just please know that words cannot explain how sorry I am; I will never be able to forgive myself what I did to you.”[/b] [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]
