Giselle was so ready to go out and enjoy all this new found freedom. Her entire teenage life (well, what she’s lived up to so far) all she wanted was to go out and be able to do whatever it was that she wanted. When her parents were alive and her twin, Gabby, was too busy stealing the spotlight and being the “perfect daughter”, Giselle wasn’t allowed to do anything. Dancing? Forget it. Nice girls didn’t go out and dance. Parties? Psh, yeah right Apparently, only tramps partied with boys they didn’t know. And when it came to clothes, if it didn’t cover the knees it was for a stripper. She hated to say it, but Giselle was happy now that her parents and Gabby were gone. Okay, maybe “happy” was the wrong word to use. Giselle never would have wished the fate of her family upon anyone. It was a tragedy and Giselle would never be able to forgive herself for being spared when her family had not been.
Giselle was dressed to go out and have fun, and that was exactly what she intended to do. A couple of kids in the Cossu common room were talking about this awesome DJ who was going to be playing at Le Couru en Liberté. Yup, apparently this damn village outside of the school even had a club. Giselle imagined it would be different, because it was all magical and stuff, but it fascinated her. The entire idea of people living their lives with magic was fascinating. She was only a half blood---her mother was a Veela witch and her dad was a Muggle---and they never really used magic because they lived in the center of Paris where everyone knew everything about everyone. Being “magical people” was something they never discussed, even behind the doors of their own home.
Her heels clicked along the pavement as Giselle walked towards this so called “club”. All she could hear in the distance was a thumping noise followed by a ton of screams and shouts. She assumed she was going in the right direction when she saw a group of girls, dressed just like her, leaning against the wall of one of the closed store fronts waiting for their dates to come and find them. Giselle here did not have a date. You see, Giselle never really dated anyone. Sure, there were plenty of boys she liked and she hung out with them, but she never ever had a boyfriend. Boys were pigs and Giselle wasn’t like that. She liked to have fun and mess around, but it would take a real gentleman to win this girl. So far, the boys here were amazing to look at and they were sweet, but no one really caught her fancy yet.
She finally arrived at Le Couru en Liberté and the guard let her inside. The place was so much bigger inside than it looked from the street. Tables and booths lined the walls and there was a huge dance floor in the center of it all. On stage was the DJ she assumed everyone had been excited to see and there was a mass of dancing bodies in front of it. Giselle would dance eventually, but first she needed to sit down and have a drink. She just walked at least 4 miles in heels. She could feel her heartbeat in the balls of her feet. She shuffled her way over to an empty booth, intimate enough for two people, and sat down. In an instant, a bartender came to take her order. Whoa. Apparently things in this world were speedy too. ”Um, I’ll just have a glass of water for now,”
[/b] she told him, feeling lame for only ordering water in a club but unsure of what drink she should get. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS! 639 TAGS! alexei NOTES! forgive me. I promise it will get a lot better! CREDITS! Template Byarro @ Caution! LYRICS! Colorado Sunrise by 3OH!3

In a happy home, I was a king, I had a gold throne. WORDS 969 | TAGGED GISELLE | NOTES Wrote this with my phone, so not all that sure how good quality it is XD Alexei had heard from a friend that the best place for him to meet people was go to the Couru en Liberté. He had been told that it was a club, but it didn’t help much, because he didn’t know what a club even was. Club… it only reminded him of game cards. Hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds. So what kind of place would this club be like? A place where you played cards? That he wouldn’t mind, because he used to play cards a lot alone or even a few times with his grandmother (she always won). He had heard that you were supposed to dress well to the club and had been given a few examples as well, so he knew somewhat what to wear before he headed out to this… club. There were no clubs where he was from. Back where he lived, in the nearest down (which still was quite far away from his house) there had been a pub, but he had never visited there, only his grandmother had a few times to do some business. He would always just wait outside for her return.
Some students would take a walk to the Streets of Paradise, but he decided to take a carriage, because he had no idea where the street was; he hadn’t visited it yet. He was a bit wary about the carriage ride, because he had gotten slightly sick during the train trip to France, but actually found it quite comfortable to sit in the carriage. Back at home he would travel by foot, by riding a horse or most commonly by a dog sled. Maybe that’s why he also liked to be in the carriage, because he knew that horses were pulling it. He was actually quite the animal lover and wouldn’t let anyone harm one, after all animals had been his only friends, because his grandmother hadn't let him really get to know anyone. Therefore he had spent most of his time with the animals.
It was the first time he saw this certain street that only the non-muggles could see which why he kept looking out of the carriage’s window and admired the scenery while smiling to himself slightly. He really did enjoy the view and the place although he didn’t like big cities that much. He had found Paris quite… overwhelming. Luckily this very street was a lot different from those usual ones in Paris in the end which why he was sure he would enjoy it here. And once he arrived to his destination he hopped off the carriage and looked around, admiring every single building nearby to him and even noticed a few statues that amazed him. After gazing at all of this for a moment he realized that he could hear quite loud music coming from inside the building behind him. He turned around to look at it, noticing how people went in and some came out, women wearing such short dresses and skirts that he had to look up while wondering if he even was allowed to be here; was this place just for women? Men weren’t allowed, right? That’s when he noticed the sign above the doors; Couru en Liberté. Hey, that’s the place he was supposed to go! But… why are the women… is that how they dress in here? He tried his best to look normal, but still he kept turning to look at the sky whenever some girls passed him by whom seemed to give him looks while wondering whether he was a creep or just a weirdo. Some were amused by the sight though.
In anyway that's the place he was supposed to go and although he was feeling bit uncomfortable he decided to go in, because he had come all this way. And who knew if he really could meet some new people, huh? Allies were important for future. Err... friends. His grandmother would always only talk about allies and only in Beauxbatons had he learned the word's "friend" real meaning, and the difference between 'a friend' and 'an ally'.
Once he entered inside he found out that the place was huge and the lighting was really dim in there. He could barely see the people except those that were on the dance floor under the flashing lights that's colours kept changing between blue, green, red, pink, yellow, purple, etc. and boy did the girls seem to be enjoying themselves while dancing. Was that... guy grinding against that girl? Wow, that was some really weird dancing, that’s what he thought.
As he turned around, getting the feeling again that they really didn't appreciate staring in France, he noticed a familiar face, sitting in the table all alone and asking for a glass of water. "I'd like one water too, please." He said to the waiter before sitting opposite of Giselle and giving her a toothy grin. "Hi! Mind if I join you? I'm just... it's my first time in here and I don't really know... what's the purpose of this place." He was incredibly glad to see someone he knew and instantly felt a bit more comfortable. He then noticed her dress as well, accidentally staring at her thighs bare skin for a moment, and turned away to face the dancefloor, but that wasn't a good idea either, so then he just turned to look up at the ceiling. "Um, are you like allowed to look at the people while they dance?" He had to ask, no matter how stupid it would sound, but he had to. He needed to know what would be ok and what not. Fashion really was weird... people were pretty much dancing in their underwear. If his grandmother would see this she would get a heart-attack, if she even had a heart. Those days are gone, now the memories are on the wall. I hear the songs from the places where I was born. |

This club was a lot more upbeat than she had originally thought. People around here tended to over exaggerate their opinions on things, but they had definitely done this place justice. The music was great and the atmosphere was definitely energetic. Giselle just felt like a little bit of a loser sitting in a booth alone and dressed the way she was. She looked like she was ready to go out a snatch a man of her own when in reality all she wanted to do was sit here and take it all in. Guys here didn’t even stare at her. Probably because her dress wasn’t short enough to make their eyes wander. Her brown eyes scanned the dance floor. The couples almost looked like they were making love to the beat of the DJ’s music. The brunette snorted just taking it all in. ”So that’s how babies are made, huh?”
[/b] she thought aloud, shaking her head. At least she still had enough pride and self-respect for herself that she would never be caught dead behaving in such a manner. Her father would have killed her if he ever caught her behaving like that. He may have been dead, but Giselle very much was positive he was always watching her. Hi! Mind if I join you? I'm just... it's my first time in here and I don't really know... what's the purpose of this place. Giselle looked up to find probably the only person she really spoke to here at the school, Alexei Romanov. He was just as different as her in this place, but he was dressed for a good time too. The waitress shuffled off to get their glasses of water, and Giselle gestured to the open seat across from her. ”By all means,”[/b] she stated, as he sat across her. She caught him staring at her legs and she blushed, feeling the heat rush to her face. He was staring at the ceiling and Giselle found herself smiling. Seriously, why was he so adorable? This was the thing about her relationship with Alexei—she had the BIGGEST crush on him since day one. Yup. Day one. She wasn’t even sure if Amexei had caught on to how she felt, but to be honest she didn’t really publicize her feelings either. She rather enjoyed him as a person and his looks certainly helped. It was probably his…well…almost innocence that made her first thing “hey this guy is pretty cute.” He seemed clueless half the time about what the hell this world was all about and, well, Giselle did too. She knew nothing about magic and he seemed quite confident in his abilities. His accent was heavy and with a last name like Romanov, it wasn’t hard to determine that he was Russian. He was from Eastern Europe; she from the Western side. She was as French as you could possibly get and he was so Russian that she was surprised he didn’t show up in a Russian Trooper hat. They could not be any more different, and yet Giselle found herself so attracted to him. She could never tell anyone though. It was obvious he had other admirers and the idea of him ever liking her back was so far fetched. Why ruin a perfectly good friendship with talk of feelings? ”I’ve never been here, either. But the purpose of a club is to be fun and party and find people to engage in activities not permitted on school grounds,”[/b] she clarified. ”In case you can’t tell, I’m partying so hard, my clothes might come off,”[/b] she sarcastically added, throwing her arms in the air and letting out a loud “WHOOP”. Giselle honestly didn’t even know why the hell she was here. It was a stupid idea to come here and feel so out of place because she was not like any of those girls dancing right now. She wasn’t walking around from guy to guy looking for someone to show her attention. Giselle definitely felt a tad bit better at knowing that even Alexei felt a little lost in a place like this. ”I’m rather surprised to see you here. It doesn’t seem like your type of ‘scene’”[/b] Then again, it wasn’t hers either. She was more of a “house party” type of girl, not a “huge public party” type. Um..are you like allowed to look at the people while they dance? The waitress returned with their waters before she had the chance to answer him. The brunette moved her hair away from her face and twisted it around the nape of her neck. She took a sip of the water, instantly feeling better. This place was too damn hot with all the lights and all the people. It was a wonder none of those girls in the crowd had passed out from heat exhaustion. Giselle found herself getting dizzy just by looking at the sweat. ”You can stare at them. That’s what they want, but be warned if they catch you staring, they may drag you out there with them and take away your innocence.”[/b] Giselle hoped no girls came over, otherwise “Jealous Ellie” would come out and she would be miserable for the rest of the night. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS! 872 TAGS! alexei NOTES! I didn’t know how to say they met. So maybe you can come up with something creative. And also, I rambled a lot…I’m sorry! I’m still trying to get a feel for Giselle and I find myself changing her from who she originally was supposed to be. CREDITS! Template Byarro @ Caution! LYRICS! Colorado Sunrise by 3OH!3

In a happy home, I was a king, I had a gold throne. WORDS 1211 | TAGGED GISELLE | NOTES Eek, lame post, sorry >: Still need to get used to Alexei. Alexei felt like he was extremely lucky to have Giselle there with him, because otherwise he really would be absolutely lost in the place. He hadn’t gotten used to this kind of stuff. Not yet anyway. Perhaps eventually he would and he could enjoy himself a bit more, but right now he did feel slightly uncomfortable, because of all the flashy lights, loud music that made him feel like his brains were bouncing inside his skull, and of course because of all the quite undressed people, dancing so closely together that for someone would soon get hit by an elbow by accident or something. Most likely that had already happened for a few times. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and he did notice that everyone on the dance floor was smiling as the bounced in the beat of the music; they loving it. That made him a bit more curious, although he wasn’t ready to try it out himself just yet. Perhaps later.
Hearing that she hadn’t been there before relaxed him a bit, because he knew he wasn’t the only one then. Usually he didn’t even worry about such things, whether he was the only one not done something before, but this time it felt like he would be labeled lame or something, just because he hadn’t gone to a club before. This was because a lot of people were there and it seemed extremely popular. And what he had heard was that students usually spent their weekend in this very club. But they were there because they could do things that weren’t allowed at the academy? That he didn’t quite understand. Students came there to break the rules then? Well that sounded interesting. He actually did get it why they would want that, because around this age everyone wanted to try their boundaries and wanted to do experiments and to see what all the life had to offer. And what they could do with it all.
But wow. So this was clubbing. Far from playing with cards. How ridiculous it would have been anyway if the place would have been filled with students playing cards all night. Unless there was some kind of card game that he didn’t know of that would keep you hooked. Undoubtedly there were many card games that he didn’t know of, but still he doubted there was one that would interest so many students. This place was filled with so much energy. Dancing and chattering. No doubt you could meet a lot of new people in this place, that was for sure. He would later have to give it a try and see if he could get some new friends.
He felt thankful that Giselle was alright with him joining her so suddenly. He would have understood perfectly well if she had said no, because she could have had other plans. And there were people who didn’t like surprises. She didn’t seem to mind at all that he joined, and to be honest he really did enjoy her company a lot, so the night had started pretty much perfectly so far.
“In case you can’t tell, I’m partying so hard, my clothes might come off.”
He blinked at this and watched her act like she was excited, but… wasn’t? That was sarcasm right? At first he was going to offer her jacket in case her clothes really would fall off, but luckily he fast realized that she didn’t actually mean it in that way. It was a joke. He had only learned about sarcasm here at Beauxbatons, because his grandmother wasn’t sarcastic at all, so neither was he. His grandmother said things exactly the way they were or then said nothing. He was the same way. Now he had come across with sarcasm quite a few times already during his stay at Beauxbatons, so he was getting the hang of it. Phew. It would have been embarrassing if he hadn’t realized it this time. Therefore he chuckled a bit at her comment before turning to look towards the dance floor again. Without realizing it he was tapping his right foot in the beat of the music; he actually started liking this type of music. It was absolutely different to what he had gotten used to listening to with his grandmother.
“A friend told me to come here. Said I could meet more people, because I don’t really know anyone yet, except you and a few others. I’d like to make more friends.” Alexei explained to her while still watching the dancers, tilting his head a bit and narrowing his eyes as he wondered if he could also learn such dance moves. It looked fun! “Although hanging out with you makes me realize that a person doesn’t need a lot of friends if they already got a few great ones.” He turned to look at her again with a sincere smile upon his lips. He wasn’t one to lie or fool girls, not that he even knew what that meant. He didn’t even know if any of the guy friends he had did something like that. At least Klaus was committed to Tinley, but he really wasn’t sure what Levi did exactly, not that it was any of his business anyway. Everyone lived the way they wanted.
So it was ok to watch, but they could come and take away your innocence? “Innocence?” He stared at the dancers once again, wondering what Giselle had meant with that. But the way she said it… somehow he wasn’t sure if it was a good thing at all which why he turned to look away to completely another direction before taking a sip of water and shaking head a bit; how could there be so many things he didn’t know about? He had studied and read so many books at home yet he felt like he knew nothing when he came here. He was completely clueless. Eventually he would learn and become better. He was somewhat ambitious after all.
“Did you come here with someone or are you expecting someone or…?” He asked curiously, wanting to know that he wasn’t interrupting anything. “I hope I didn’t ruin your plans by just crashing over here.” Alexei looked directly at her, honestly feeling a tad bit bad for forgetting his manners once again and not asking for permission to sit with her before actually doing so and even asking for the waiter to bring a glass of water for him over there. That had been somewhat rude, hadn’t it? Oh man.
As he looked at her, he leaned more forward, so that he was only a few inches away, studying her face for a moment and blinking. “I like that eye shadow, it looks great on you.” He then leaned bit back again while smirking slightly at her, “You are looking really stunning.” he managed to say before looking a bit worried again and continuing, “I didn’t interrupt a date or something, did I?” That would be the worse. Him coming over there when she was on a date! If it was so he really hoped that the guy hadn’t seen him coming there and therefore just left the place. Oh man, he really hoped he would have been this stupid.
Those days are gone, now the memories are on the wall. I hear the songs from the places where I was born. |
