No control, left to lose. Well, I thought that it wouldn't faze me, but I'm hiding like a child. I feel so guilty. Visions I had buried underground, returning to abuse us. The clock tower. That was a place where he hadn’t been before, not that he could remember anyway. Maybe the first time he came to Beauxbatons he might have accidentally wandered in there somewhere while trying to look for the right classroom, but he honestly couldn’t remember if that would have really happened. He had gotten lost so many times in the palace, because it’s what he did the best, not to mention the place was HUGE. Anyone would get lost in there at one point or another whether they admitted it or not. He was certain of that. He just happened to be one of the people who get lost in the palace a little more often. Not that much anymore of course. It was pretty clear to him where all the places were, especially the important ones like his dorm room, kitchen and dining table. What else was needed?
Hyo Joon found his way to the balcony and was simply amazed. The clock tower was really gorgeous and it made him wonder why he had not visited the place earlier. From now on he definitely would come there quite often, because the sight was beautiful, especially from the balcony. His emotions had been all over the place ever since he had turned into a vampire and his mood had been changing all the time, sometimes every five minutes! He could be happy one moment and angry the next. A few days ago he had cried during the dinner, because there was no chicken left on the tray near by him. He wasn't even sure why it had felt like the biggest problem on earth at the time, because he could have just asked for another tray. Needless to say he had been extremely embarrassed and still was. People still stare at him, because of it. If he would be a girl everyone would have probably thought that he was pregnant or something.
But yes, the view was beautiful. He wished to take a photo of it, many photos, and send them all to his grandmother. She would definitely love this place! His right hand dove deep into his pocket until he managed to grab the item in there and gently he stroked it while looking down at the grounds from the balcony. The item was his grandmother's engagement ring that she had given to him in hopes that he would marry soon before it she wouldn’t be around anymore. Her health worried him deeply, but he was still sure she would live many more years still, because she was in quite a good condition. But anything could happen anytime. Even to him.
Hyo Joon pouted before taking a few steps back until he hit the wall and leaned against; he had to stop such thoughts asap. He hated being so serious and worried, although he always did worry about something. He just never showed it. But he really had started worrying even more about things after turning into a vampire. To that he really had to put a stop. He rolled his eyes before closing them and smirked in darkness at his own thoughts, deciding that from now on he would have to learn take better control of his actions. Somehow.

Rachele was feeling a little trapped of late. It wasn't that she couldn't get out; it was more like she felt trapped inside herself. Of course, pressures from her family were not helping, but mostly it was within her. Unfortunately, she had been unsuccessful in discovering what it was that was making her feel this way. Normally she thought it was her vampirism, but she knew that wasn't it. It had been quite some time since she'd been changed, and she had grown used to most of the things that came along with it. It felt good to know that for once it wasn't that, but at the same time it made her even more confused about what it could be that was causing her this anxiety.
Unable to simply stay in her room, she had ventured out into the castle. It was what she always did when she needed space or something to do while she tried to sort things out. For a while, she simply roamed the corridors, occasionally running into people here and there. However, the journey was quiet for the most part, and that was find with her as her head was full of so many things. She was beginning to wonder if the problem was that she had just too many things going on or if it was that she was missing something. Both seemed like highly plausible answers, but she couldn't really be sure of either.
Finally, she decided that the place she wanted to be was the clocktower. It was one of her favorite places to go; it gave a different perspective on the castle, and she felt that something like that might be exactly what she needed right now. She felt in her pocket to make sure she had a few things in case she wanted to stay the night up there and then started up the winding way to the clocktower.
Upon her arrival, she didn't notice anyone. Then again, she wasn't really expecting anyone either. She laid back onto the floor and looked up into the gears and way up to the ceiling of the place. Immediately she felt a little more at peace. She turned her head to look out at the view, and that's when she noticed the other person.
Quickly, she jumped to her feet in a very fluid and fast motion. She hated being caught off guard, and that was certainly what she was right now. Once again, she hadn't allowed her heightened senses to alert her to someone's presence because she hadn't believed anyone would be there. That was one thing she was definitely going to need to work on later.
"Umm...sorry. I didn't really think anyone else would be up here. I hope I didn't disturb you." She paused for a moment before offering up her name. "I'm Rachele."

No control, left to lose. Well, I thought that it wouldn't faze me, but I'm hiding like a child. I feel so guilty. Visions I had buried underground, returning to abuse us. The Cossu male had always found the night sky beautiful. Stars twinkling brightly, the moon shining in all of its glory… It was gorgeous. Was it cold though? Most likely it was, because there was still some snow on the ground as well. It was supposed to be spring already, but it was coming really slowly this year. He couldn’t really feel coldness or warmth all that well anymore, not the way he used to feel it as a human. He could go lie on the snow only in his underwear and he wouldn’t be feeling cold. It bothered him. Bothered a lot. He really wanted to feel the coldness as well as the warmth the way he had used to feel it.
His thoughts were interrupted as he heard (barely) very soft steps enter the Clocktower and quietly he remained still and just listened, deciding that he wouldn’t say a thing; he didn’t know what to say anyway. He didn’t know the person and it was so dark that he couldn’t see her or him at all, but at least the person’s scent wasn’t very familiar to him. Definitely a young woman though, that he was now sure of. Ah, this was one of the pleasant things about being a vampire. He wasn’t too sure, because he wasn’t directly looking, but thought that the person laid down on the floor which why he blinked his eyes a few times, now really wondering if he should say something. But what? He would possibly just scare her and make her wonder why he waited this long to say anything. Ugh, but he couldn’t just stand there either, could he?
Before he could come up with some kind of resolution and decide what he should do the young lady had suddenly noticed him, obviously startled a bit (who wouldn’t be when seeing someone stand in the shadows), but then apologizing and saying that she hadn’t noticed him. “Oh, I didn’t notice you at all there.” He had always been quite a bad liar, but he had to try at least, because there was no way he would try and explain why he had just been standing there quietly while knowing someone else was there. “It’s completely ok. After all I don’t own the place, heh.” He smiled slightly to the girl, then wondering if he had heard her name before. Probably. It sounded somewhat familiar. She was quite beautiful and… wait… why didn’t he already have the urge to bit her? He was able to control himself from doing such a thing, but he still had the feeling of wanting to drink people dry whenever around students. Well, normal humans. She wasn’t human? “Nice to meet you Rachele. I’m Hyo Joon. You can call me just Hyo though.”
He really wasn’t sure if he had met her before, maybe in a class or something, but not even that bothered him as much as thinking whether she was a vampire as well or not. It could be dangerous if she was one too, but in the other hand he was actually quite excited, because he really wanted to know more vampires as he didn’t really have anyone else the same as him on his side. He had refused Nyu Ri’s help and Calcifer had turned his back on him, possibly thinking Hyo wasn’t worth it and would have been ok to watch him just die. Only one to help him had been Drystan and… well, Drystan wasn’t even a vampire. He still was really wary about the reasons why Drystan would even help him, but had decided not to bother to inquire more about it as it would just probably make him even more stressed. Who knew what a fox demon would want from a newbie vampire? Some kind of plan for sure he had. But for now Hyo Joon would just take all the help from Drystan that he could get, so that he would be able to live and not kill anyone in order to do so. “Are… are you…” He managed to whisper, quite quietly, but if she really was a vampire she probably would have heard it. “I mean… What are you?” He had to ask. Get it out. Most likely she had already sensed as well that he wasn’t human either. She didn’t seem like a bad person at all, far from what Calcifer was like, but hey, he wasn’t an expert, so who knew? He couldn’t even guess her age or anything; he wasn’t good at such things.

Rachele could tell that he wasn't telling the truth, but it didn't really bother her. There had been occasions where she had done the same thing. She would see a person and sort of try to fade into the background for one reason or another. Then, when she was noticed she would say the exact same thing he had. However, she didn't say any of that out loud; there was really no need to. "Well I am a rather quiet person," she told him instead. That was true enough, but she had a sneaking suspicion that he had also heard her enter which was unusual. When she was trying to be quiet, humans did not hear her. Which could mean a few things about this guy.
"True, but you were here first. For all I know, you could've been planning on using this space for dancing or something," she said with a smile of her own. As she stood there, she inhaled a little. Yes, his scent was definitely different. He was not a werewolf, that much was certain. However, he could be a demon or vampire. Whatever he was, he was a very nice looking guy, and she rather liked the way he carried himself. "It's nice to meet you Hyo. I've got to say, you seem familiar." She felt as though they had shared a class or at least seen or ran into one another in the halls before, or maybe she was crazy. That could be an answer too.
Again, her eyes went over the boy. He seemed more like her than her demon friend, so she could guess that he was a vampire. Of course, it was hard to tell with all the characters running about the school. It was always interesting when she happened to meet another vampire. She had lived and befriended many different kinds. Most were 'vegetarians' like herself, but then there were the ones like Henri and Calcifer. While they'd introduced her to her way of life, they did not practice the same sort of diet as she did. They were a bit like brothers to her though she did not always get along with them due to her preferences and theirs. The guy in front of her was quite intriguing; she planned on asking him a question to see what his status was, but that was taken out of her hands.
When he asked what she was, she smiled slowly and let her fangs become exposed. "A vampire," she answered simply. "You are as well?" she asked though she felt sure that she was correct. She liked that he had been direct. However, she sensed that he was a bit new to his status, or at least he wasn't completely sure of it yet. "What gave me away?" she asked interested to see what he had picked up on.
note: no problem.

No control, left to lose. Well, I thought that it wouldn't faze me, but I'm hiding like a child. I feel so guilty. Visions I had buried underground, returning to abuse us. While he was sure himself that he was good at acting that really wasn’t the case. One who wants to become a Broadway show star should know how to act, but sadly he hadn’t inherited that talent from his mother which why it must have been quite obvious that he was lying, but still he kept telling himself that Rachele hadn’t figured it out. Maybe Rachele wouldn’t find it a bad thing even if she knew though, because she didn’t seem like a bad person at all. He would still need to be wary though, like always with new people. But after she mentioned that she was a quiet person he felt like she probably didn’t know, so that was a relief to him. He had to admit that she really was quiet. Incredibly quiet. Without being a vampire he really hadn’t realized that someone was there. And of course if he hadn’t been still (it was incredibly unusual for him to stay still after all) he wouldn’t have noticed that someone had come there and joined him.
With a smirk upon his face he replied, “Sure, I could have been dancing, but you could have still joined me. I wouldn’t have minded.” He never had thought about coming up there to dance, but now he would definitely consider it. There was a high possibility to see him dancing in the school grounds, because after all it was one of his hobbies. Back in South Korea he and Jae Syun would go to big practice rooms and learn new choreographies. And dancing was always a lot less fun when you were alone which why he definitely would have welcomed Rachele with him… if that had been the case. Instead he had come there to mope and find a meaning to why things happened and why are things going this way in his life. Why did it have to happen? No way would he tell it that honestly to someone he had just met though, but instead said, “I just came here to think, nothing special. It’s a really nice view in here.” He had felt the need to explain himself, especially because he was a prefect and because students weren’t allowed to wander the halls during the night anyway. He wasn’t following the rules, so he couldn’t take any points away from Rachele’s house either. Not that he probably even would if he had been doing his prefect duties. He wouldn’t want to disappoint such a gorgeous lady and no way would he want to become enemies with her.
“You seem familiar too, but… you’re not in Cossu. And don’t think in the same year either?” He shifted a bit, although still leaning against the wall, but standing perfectly still and like he was frozen had probably looked a bit ridiculous. He had just been a bit nervous, perhaps, not to mention that he had learned to stay still like a statue, so that he could hunt his prey. But yes, this time he had just been a bit wary, that’s all. Unsure how to act and what to say until the other one had spoken first. Quite odd actually, because before he turned into a vampire he was extremely loud all the time and definitely wouldn’t minded startling the young woman by starting to talk right away while he would be in the shadows. Well, if he would still be human it was highly likely that she would have noticed him right away; like said before he couldn’t stay still. And possibly she would have smelled him as well.
So she was a vampire. She had been incredibly frank about it and even showed him her fangs and it just felt… unusual. That was probably because he hadn’t met other vampires really. Err, except the ones he had known before he turned into one himself. When she inquired if he was one too he just simply nodded in return. He hadn’t gotten used to saying ‘hey, I’m a vampire’, so he would only admit it if someone asked about it. “What gave me away?” She asked and he swallowed, feeling really bad about what he was about to say. “Because I didn’t feel like biting you and drinking you dry.” He wasn’t going to lie about that. For some reason he felt like he could be honest about the reason. “I’m rather new to… this thing still. I can control myself somewhat, but not too well yet.” This made him feel bad, especially he was really eager to learn to control it all better and not to kill anyone. So far he had managed not to get anyone killed pretty much, but it had been very close a lot of times. He was quite ambitious and wanted to “master” it. Be in control of himself. It made him wonder whether Rachele had already learned to control it or not and how long she had been a vampire. Would it be too personal to ask? As human he hadn’t really been bothered whether his questions were too straightforward or not, but now he felt the need to be a bit more careful. Still he decided to take the risk and ask, “Has it been… long since you…?” He hadn’t really known how to ask about which why his question now sounded a bit confusing, but he believed that Rachele would still understand what he meant, and he hoped she wouldn’t find it to be a too personal question.

The smirk on Hyo's face made her smile. She felt like she was always getting one of those from people. Perhaps she should watch what she said a little more, but where was the fun in that? It wouldn't be like her at all if she didn't mention things like dancing up here. "Good to know. It is a nice place to dance. I do it quite a lot." She saw no harm in sharing this fact. In fact, she danced around a lot of the castle and grounds. Slowly, she glided a little closer to Hyo and looked out at the view he just mentioned. "It is. Sometimes, one of my favorite things is to come here and just look out. It's never the same look twice. Something is always changing." Of course, sometimes the thing that had changed was her, but she didn't say that. The previous thought alone was probably a little much, but it was what she thought.
Rachele shook her head light. "I'm a Sournois third year," she replied. She tapped her cheek for a moment as the tried to think about where she'd seen him. It might have just been around the castle, but she felt like there was probably more to it than that. After a moment, she had a thought. "Wait! I've just remembered. It was ages ago, but didn't we work together in a class on something?" It had been quite a while ago, and a lot had happened since then. However, she felt pretty sure she was right. Of course, if she wasn't than she was going to look ridiculous for her excitement, but oh well. She highly doubted that he would judge her for it. He seemed like a very nice guy, and he had reacted quite positively to her suggestion of dancing up here.
The shifting did not escape her, but she didn't say anything about it. It had taken quite a while for her to ease up as well. Her travel companions at the time had often given her a hard time about it. Of course, it had been a little easier for her to learn when she was constantly around others like her. She had to wonder if this young man was as lucky or not. Whether he was or wasn't, she felt an immediate fondness for him. There was something about him that she trusted. Perhaps it was from their contact when she'd still been a human, or it could've just been this experience now. Whatever it was, she was going to trust herself on this one.
So he was a vampire as well. She had been correct. The response he gave to her question was a good one and one that should've been obvious to her, but she didn't often think about that now that she had been practicing with her scents. "Well, yes I would imagine that would be a pretty big hint," she said with a slight laugh at herself. When he said he was rather new, it didn't surprise her. She remembered very clearly the way she had been, and in some ways he reminded her of that time. Of course, he seemed a lot more together than she had to begin with, so that was definitely something positive. "That will come though, and it always helps if you can find someone to assist and ask questions of. If you want, I.." For a moment she had been going to say herself, but she was not sure if it was too soon for that. His next question, however, made her think it was not too early. "Sorry for stopping, I didn't want to freak you out if I offered my help right away. Not everybody is willing to ask help of someone they've just met for..well the second time I suppose with us. Anyway, if you want, I would like to help any way I can."
Her eyes went off for a moment as her mind flashed back to the day she'd been turned. It had all been an accident, but that hadn't changed what happened after. "Oh, I'd say two coming up on three years. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of time, so I suppose it could be more. Definitely a couple of years though." Honestly, she didn't entirely remember the exact date. It had been years, but it was a day she tried to forget because of the pain it brought to the ones that had turned her. They remembered well enough without her having to. Normally, this was not a conversation she would have with someone, but when asked the direct questions about it, she never shied away. Besides, she liked Hyo. "Yourself?" she asked hoping he wouldn't mind.

"Good to know. It is a nice place to dance. I do it quite a lot."
“Really?” Hyo Joon looked at her curiously, now wondering if she was speaking the truth. “We should dance together sometime then. For fun!” He smiled, actually really liking the idea. It would be fun to train dancing with someone else for a change especially because he had Jae Syun had kind of drifted away too after he changed into a vampire. That was totally his fault though. It was his way of protecting people; going away, or so it seemed. He wasn’t proud of it and it actually made him incredibly miserable not to be able to talk with his best friend. “Dancing and singing makes me forget all my problems.” For a few weeks he had done neither though which was kind of worrying. He gained energy and peace whenever he was dancing or singing or both. He had always been good at dancing, but now that he turned into a vampire he was great at it. His reflexes certainly had become a ton of times better which he quite enjoyed. Being a vampire wasn’t all that bad, he had noticed. He knew he should probably concentrate on all the positive things instead of all the negative ones.
He put a notice how Rachele moved a bit closer, obviously a sign that she had put her guard down as well and he knew she meant no harm towards him. They would get along just fine, wouldn’t they? He did feel slightly awkward though as she was quite stunning. If this was a normal high school she definitely would be one of the popular girls, possibly the most popular one on top of that. And what was he? Definitely not one of the jocks at least. Most likely the class clown, but hey, that suit him just swell. He was one of those people who loved the attention and he would try and get it even if he had to do foolish things… such as stealing his teacher’s wig off from their head which he had actually done once during junior high. Students had had a great laugh about that which made him feel proud although he had ended up in detention himself and his mother had had to come to the school too.
Hyo stared at the view after she said that something always changes. Did it change? It was his first time in the clocktower, so of course he couldn’t really give his opinion about it, but he did believe her. He was sure that it did change. And it wasn’t just the seasons that changed it. He felt like there was a deeper meaning with what Rachele said, but he couldn’t figure it out of course; he had only just met her and didn’t know a thing about her really.
Both of them seemed to be thinking where they had met before, but nothing came to his mind at least. Maybe they had just passed each other in the corridor? That could be it. But why did he have a feeling that they had had a conversation too? Ugh, this was giving him a headache. How could he not remember? That’s when she suddenly talked and mentioned them working together in class long time ago which suddenly ringed the bells inside his head as well. “Oh! You’re absolutely right. Was it Care of the Magical Creatures class? If I remember correctly.” Finally they remembered. Thankfully. He had kind of worried that maybe he had done something embarrassing in the past and that’s how they’ve met before, but they had just worked on a project together. Phew. Nothing bad had happened between then at least. He hadn’t made a fool out of himself in front of her, except for the fact that he had not known anything at all about the subject they had been working on, but hey, that was only because he had lived his whole life believing he was only a muggle. He hadn’t known that wizards and witches among a lot of supernatural creatures truly did exist. But yes, it had mostly been Rachele who had done their project. He hadn’t been much of a help back then, although he had been extremely interested in the magical creatures and tried his best to learn about them.
A smile appeared upon his lips when she mentioned that it had possibly been quite a big hint that he hadn’t wanted to drink her dry and her little laugh after that. It was cute. She was elegant and lovely as well as immortal; she could be a Goddess for all he knew. She didn’t seem like a bad vampire at all. Why in earth in most muggle books and movies vampires were described as evil and demonic. Calcifer fit that description didn’t he? But not her. Not Rachele. Not that he knew her that well yet, but somehow he felt like she tried her best to be good.
He was sure she was about to say that she could help him out, but she suddenly stopped which disappointed him a bit, though right after she explained herself. He understood it and nodded, knowing that someone would possibly freak out or find it weird if someone just offered help in such a big matter, someone who they had just met. But he didn’t find it weird at all. What he found odd was that he felt like he could trust her almost completely. Why was that? Maybe because she hadn’t been a vampire that long either and still remembered what it was like when she had changed and what it had been like to be a human. He wondered if she missed being a human, but he didn’t dare to ask about it. “I’d… actually be very grateful if you were able to guide me. There’s one who has tried to help me out, but he isn’t a vampire himself and he’s… umm… not your normal every day person, so I don’t know if he’s giving me the right type of help at all. So I’d be very grateful to you if you were willing to help me out. I know nothing really about vampirism…” He started explaining and continued after letting a small sigh. “It’s just that I grew up as a muggle and learned about vampires hating garlic and crosses and such, but that doesn’t seem to be the thing at all after all, so I’m extremely confused.” He was looking at the view again, feeling slightly vulnerable now that he had revealed his thoughts honestly. He had not said them aloud to anyone before, though it was probably easy for anyone to guess.
As a vampire it definitely must be hard to keep up with the time even if you hadn’t been one for too long. Would Calcifer or Henri be able to tell their exact age if asked? Or Nyu Ri? He probably would want to forget the thing all together, because the longer you were alive the more you would be reminded that you’ll never die which means you’ll never be able to have a normal life either. No family. Friends who are normal would soon die. You would make new friends and they would die too. You could see someone be born and see them die 80 years later. That really freaked him out. He would never change, but everyone else would. “Um, about four months I think. It happened last Halloween.” And to think in the past he really had enjoyed Halloween, but no longer was that the case. After everything he despised it. He was glad his friends were alright at least. Maybe that even made him feel a bit bitter. Everyone else were able to continue their lives normally, everyone except him.

Rachele was a little surprised at Hyo's reaction. In all the time she had danced or told people that she danced, none of them had ever suggested that they join her. His suggestion made her smile brightly. She definitely already liked this guy; he had such a pleasant vibe. "I would really like that. Random dance party complete with glowy things. Sound fun?" She really did like the idea of dancing with someone else. It had been rather lonely at times though she still thrived on the feeling she got from doing it, and she got the feeling that Hyo would be an excellent person to share with this. She felt that he understood. That thought was cemented when he said what dancing and singing did for him. "I know what you mean."
There were many ways that Rachele chose to escape from her thoughts and problems. Sometimes she could face them head on, but other things were just so dreadfully painful for her still. Yes, she had her knights that would have helped her if she asked, but she didn't want to feel like a burden. Finding ways to cope on her own made things feel better. They helped her until she was strong enough to confront whatever it was that bothered her. Dancing up here was one of the ways that she freed herself. It seemed now that she had met another person who might actually be able to get that rather than thinking of it as some quirk.
Her dark eyes ran over the boy in front of her. He was quite good looking. Becoming a vampire tended to highlight ones looks to draw in prey, but it was easy for her to see that he had been attractive before he was turned. There was something else that she liked about him, but she was not sure. It was just a feeling that came by being near him. She was relaxed rather than tense and nervous. That had to be a good sign, right? Of course, she didn't know anything about him. Her feelings could be wrong, but she doubted it. He just didn't seem like the dark kind of person.
A wave of relief washed over her when he confirmed her suspicion to be correct. It was a good thing as she had been worried that she would look like an idiot. Now, her eyes lit up as she began to remember more and more. She could remember the two of them working hard at putting together a project, and she had been right. He had been good looking then as well. "Yes, it was a project. I think we were the last two left in the class without a partner. We were paired, and if memory serves we passed with flying colors." It seemed like a lifetime ago, but she could still picture them working together. He had been great company; it didn't seem as though that had changed.
Though she did not ask, she wondered what had happened. How was it that both of them were now vampires? It was rather sad, but at the same time it was nice to run into an old friend brief as their encounters might have been. That would have to be remedied. She wanted to be around Hyo more and learn about him. There were things that they could share, and she could see them becoming quite close.
Once she'd offered her assistance, she wasn't sure what to do. She wasn't sure what he would say. Luckily, he didn't wait long to answer. A smile blossomed across her face. Though she didn't say it out loud, she had rather been hoping that he would accept. After all, she had not been left alone to wonder about what to do and who she now was, so she could not imagine not helping Hyo now if he wanted it. "Well, I'd be more than happy to help. Believe me, it is the least I can do." She felt a bit puzzled by the person trying to help him, but you did run into all sorts here. "I don't know that many are normal here. If you're worried he isn't giving you good advice, go with your instinct. Usually it's right on. As for not knowing anything, don't worry. I didn't know much when I was turned either."
There were some things she knew. They did read about them in class, and she had friends that were already vampires. However, it wasn't as though they divulged all the secrets of their existence with her. Basically, she only had a general idea. Little of it had been helpful when she was first becoming used to the life. It was one thing to read about what things meant and what vampires had to do to survive. It was another matter entirely to experience it. Nothing had prepared her for what she faced, and she had started to think that she was not strong enough to handle it. Fortunately, she had come into company of two that were willing to watch after her and help her grow. Everything she knew now was because of experience and because of Henri and Calcifer whom she'd come to look at almost like brothers. Really, knowing little to begin with was probably better. Then, you had no closed mindedness when it came to deciding how you wanted to exist.
She put a hand lightly on his shoulder. "Believe me," she told him softly. "That isn't unusual. Vampires don't exactly give you a packet of information before they bite you." There were times that she often wished they did, but that was her own issue. "Some actually do dislike garlic, but really we are all over the spectrum with what we can and can't stand. For example, I don't mind garlic, but I can't go out in too much sun. I don't burn; it just hurts my eyes, so I carry a parasol or wear sunglasses." That had been a rather unfortunate thing to learn by accident. Fortunately she had not been alone when she made the discovery. "If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. I will answer them all the best I can."
He was definitely a young one. Four months could seem like a long time to some, but for vampires it was barely a blip on the radar. It was sad that it had to happen on a holiday though. That had to be hard. Her anniversary was not marked by something like that or she would never forget it. She was lucky that way. Though she'd known Hyo for a short time even if one added up the time they spent together on the project, she felt that he could've been dealt a kinder hand. Honestly, she would switch if she could, but as it was she was determined to be there for him. "You have a lot to learn," she said softly. "It will be ok though. You're going to be fine."

No control, left to lose. Well, I thought that it wouldn't faze me, but I'm hiding like a child. I feel so guilty. Visions I had buried underground, returning to abuse us.
Who would have thought that he could feel like trusting someone almost instantly after meeting them? Well, this was actually kind of the second time they met, but still. A lot had happened for both of them after their first meeting, so in a way this was their first meeting too, because they had changed so much. "Random dancing party with glowy things? I’m in for sure!” He smirked widely at her now, and also feeling like finally he had found someone who understood him. “We could make a group called Dancing Vampires or Glowing Fangs.” Yeah, those were REALLY lame suggestions, but he couldn’t come up with anything better. Besides it was just a joke. But hey, they definitely should try dancing together from now on. What was more fun than that? The good thing about becoming a vampire too was that one wouldn’t sweat (not as much as humans anyway), so you really could dance all day and night long without having to go take a shower afterwards, not to mention having to worry about smelling. “I’m pretty sure the two of us would rock the world together.” He said, looking at the view again thoughtfully. He was sure that Rachele was great at dancing; he didn’t doubt that for a second. When she mentioned that she knew what he meant he figured that it was something that she was feeling as well and for some reason that took a weight off from his shoulders, knowing that someone understood him. And what a great feeling that was.
Sure, if he just could be sure that he wouldn’t hurt anyone those close to him he could share his problems with them, like with his best friend Jae Syun, but Jae wasn’t immortal and there was still a high possibility that he might accidentally hurt his friend whom he had known ever since a toddler. He could not live with the fact that he would have hurt anyone close to him. And Alegra too… If he ever hurt her he could never forgive himself. She was a fairy on top of that and vampires found fairy blood extremely delicious. It was dangerous for him to be around her. No, he would first have to be able to control himself a bit more properly at least before he could see her again and apologize for keeping all the distance. When had he even last seen her? The day after Halloween probably. That’s the last time he had seen her and maybe glimpses every now and then, but he would always quickly disappear from her sight. Same with Jae Syun and the others. It made him feel bad, but really, it was only for their own safety.
“Haha, of course we passed with flying colors! You pretty much did the whole project by yourself.” Hyo Joon chuckled and shook his head, “I just kept being stunned by all the things you knew. But in my defense I hadn’t known before such things even existed before I came to Beauxbatons.” The young Cossu male smirked slightly while looking down at his feet, feeling a bit embarrassed by his actions in the best. But it wasn’t really his fault, now was it? His mother had decided to keep everything as a secret until he disobeyed his parents too many times and they decided that he needed to learn his lesson. Well, here he was and he definitely had learned it. Becoming a vampire indeed was a terrible punishment, that was for sure. But… well, of that he couldn’t blame his parents. How could they have known that this would happen? If they had they definitely wouldn’t have sent him to Beauxbatons. Things really would be a lot different in his life if he hadn’t gone to Beauxbatons.
Seeing the wide smile upon her face made him feel glad, because it meant that she truly did want to help him out and that she also could do so. He was sure he would be able to get a lot better advice from her than Drystan. Pfft, Drystan. Why had he decided to even trust him? That was possibly the worst mistake in his entire life. But he hadn’t had a choice. Either he trusted Drystan or he would have slaughtered a ton of innocent students or… he would have died. Of dying he wasn’t afraid of, except when he thought about his grandmother and how she would react if she found out that he’s dead. But otherwise the idea of his own death didn’t really bother him. It was weird, but it didn’t. Killing someone else worried him a lot more and he wouldn’t let himself to drink anyone dry. At least he was trying to learn that now. As well as trying to learn to make the students forget that he had drank blood from them. That was a really difficult part. He couldn’t seem to get it right at all. And animals? He had tried to bite a rabbit, but looking into the rabbits eyes directly… the fear he saw in them… he couldn’t. He couldn’t do harm to any innocent creatures. Animals always looked so innocent. Ugh, humans didn’t most of the time, but what was worse than humans… that was demons. Demons destroyed this world. Like Drystan.
Nyu Ri, who turned him into a vampire had offered her help to him. She had begged for him to accept her help, but he hadn’t. He had been too furious at her, although he knew that she didn’t really have a choice. Watch him die or turn him into a vampire. He kind of understood that all those who had been there when he had died had probably even expected someone to do something, especially a vampire whose blood could heal you, although back then it was already too late to heal him and get him back to normal. Turning him into a vampire had been the only way to safe him and she had chosen that. He had never really gotten along with Nyu Ri for some reason, mostly because she kept nagging at him and told him to behave properly and not to be so childish, but he had never disliked or hated her for real. He knew she only meant well. Still, even now, he just couldn’t accept her help. That possibly had been a wrong choice. A very wrong one, because then Drystan had been able to grab the chance to get him on his side. …Well, Drystan wasn’t always that bad. Wait, he is! He’s always bad. Such thoughts annoyed him and he decided to push them aside.
What now mattered was that Rachele had offered her help and he would more than gladly accept it. He would be eternally grateful to her.
It was a relief to know that Rachele hadn’t really known anything either when she had turned, because now she had gotten this far and survived, so that meant that he could do. Ah, but he should follow his instincts more? She was most likely absolutely right. Not even most likely, but definitely. He would probably still accept Drystan’s guidance too, but when taking it he should think about it rather than just follow the instructions like a good little puppy. That’s what he had done so far. “Mm, I got it. I shall do that from now.” The newbie vampire nodded a little while now again looking directly at Rachele. It made him wonder where she was from originally, but he didn’t feel like he had the right to ask. Not yet. Maybe someday if they become good friends which is what he hopes that will happen.
After he had turned he had gone to the library and tried to read a lot of books about vampires, but he hadn’t been able to concentrate to a thing really back then, because he had been so hungry. Hungrier than what he had ever been before. It had been terribly painful. He had tried to eat all he could in the great hall, but he hadn’t felt satisfied at all. That’s when he finally realized that he needed blood and had started staring everyone’s necks and wrists, but somehow had been able to get a hold of himself and gotten out of there and further away from everyone. But after feeding the first time (of which he doesn’t particularly want to talk about or even think about, he would rather just forget it) he later on had finally had the strength to study some books about vampires and had learned a bit more information.
“Huh, they do? It doesn’t have any effect on me, luckily.” So garlic did affect some vampires. Phew, thankfully he wasn’t one of those. But he would really need to find out what his weaknesses were before he would get into trouble. He was fine under the sun too; why was that though? Some were, some weren’t. It made him feel a bit sad that Rachele was one that couldn’t really stand the sun all that well, but he tried not to show it and instead of looking upset he put on a big smile. “Parasol, huh? You’re like a real lady then! I bet men find that attractive actually.” He wasn’t sure how good of an idea it had been for him to say that aloud, but he had still blurted it out without thinking it twice. But it was true! Walking around while holding a parasol? That felt feminine which was attractive. For most men anyway. Him for example. And it also felt somehow elegant. What’s not to like?
So, now he was allowed to ask questions. But what should he ask? Now that he had a chance to ask something, nothing came to his mind. How did this always happen to him? Always when there was a chance like this he suddenly forgot about everything. There was something… what was it… He knew he had a lot of questions, but at least one. One is good. Ah! Now he remembered something. “Oh, I do think I’ve got one question. I’ve been wondering… how long can you last without… feeding? Because for me it seems to change, I don’t know why. Is it because I’m new? That sometimes I can only last for a day and other times a week and… Maybe even more, I don’t know? Does it depend on who or what you drink or blood type or their health or… does such things even matter?” That kind of had more questions than one, but he couldn’t help it. It all just came out of him all of a sudden. “I’m sorry, I hope that wasn’t too confusing. You can always say “Pass!” if you don’t want to answer and I won’t be offended, ok? And if you want to answer, go ahead. You can always choose, teacher!” He smile slightly again at her, finding it bit amusing to call her his teacher, but hey, that’s what she was for now at least.
"It will be ok though. You're going to be fine.”
Hearing her say that made him feel incredibly joy, although he only showed a small smile again and said, “Thank you. It really means a lot to hear that.” And it did. It meant seriously a lot to him to hear her say that and he knew he could trust her, somehow he just knew it and he didn’t doubt her for a second. She was genuinely interested in helping him. Something told him that he had just found a new lifelong friend for himself.

When he responded with enthusiasm to the idea, Rachele could not help but grin. Yes, he was most definitely a kindred spirit. She felt that instant connection with him, and she wished that they had actually spoken like this before now. However, perhaps they had needed these sort of circumstances as she could be rather shy at times. "A group sounds like a lot of fun," she answered enthusiastically. "We could always mix the two together..like..Dancing Vampire Fangs." She paused as she thought. "Or maybe Dances With Fangs....or we can just work on it," she laughed. Neither of those suggestions were great. Still, a name would be rather fun. She suspected he had been joking about it, but it sounded interesting to her.
His next words got another smile out of her. Yet another sign that the two of them were going to get along exceedingly well. Smiling this much on a 'first' meeting wasn't something she did. Not only was she self-conscious, she usually didn't like the idea of flashing a fang by accident. She would say she was a vampire if asked, but it was not something she advertised. After all, she had been shown by her family how not everybody was welcoming to someone like her. "I'm pretty sure you are one hundred percent correct about that. We would probably rock the universe." Again that feeling of understanding came to her again. It was something that she felt everyone looked for. It seemed that she was lucky enough to have found it without even looking.
It seemed that Hyo remembered more about the project than she did. She just remembered him and conversations they had. "That I don't remember," she laughed. "I know you helped. You also seem pretty interested in everything. That's infectious you know. No need to defend. You were the best partner I ever hard." It was a genuine comment. Working with him had been a lot of fun; he had kept her smiling then as well. Of course, it had been a tad easier in those days, but still it was the best she had got on with her partners. It had been something in the way he carried himself. He carried himself a bit that way now. Some things had changed, but that was part of being what they were. Still, in his actions were things she liked and wanted to know more about.
As she stood there, Rachele's mind wandered back to the time after she had been turned. It had been a very difficult experience for her. While she had not been angry at the twins, she was angry at what she had been left with. The three of them didn't speak. For them it had been guilt, and for her it had been the desire to keep from hurting them. She hadn't wanted them to feel guilt every time they looked at her. It had become quite clear, after a time, that she could not stay at Beauxbatons. At least, she couldn't stay while she was so unprepared for the life that she now faced. Once she had learned how to function, she had felt sure that she could return and that the twins would be alright. Soon after, she had left.
Traveling had taught her a great deal about what the experience was going to be like for her. It gave her the opportunity to test things out. Fortunately, it had also given her Henri and Calcifer along with a few other acquaintances that had helped her survive during the darker parts of her new existence. It often surprised her that she had not had more run ins with the sort that would push her the wrong way. That was so easy to do when one was first 'born.' Yes, things had gone very well for her. As her mind continued to go back in memory, she realized all of a sudden that she had probably gone to her stone like thinking state. Quickly she dragged herself back. Some things she did not need to think about right now.
Hyo also seemed to be thinking about something. It wasn't in her nature to pry, so she didn't make any mention of it. There were probably many things on his mind. Until he was ready, he didn't need to pour them out to her. "Don't forget. Those instincts are a bit heightened now. That's partly how we survive. After all, sometimes we are the hunted not the hunters." The last sentence held an extra meaning for her, so there was a little more acid in the words. However, she managed to keep her face neutral. The instincts and the heightening of senses were two of the things that had been a bit of a treat for her to discover. Of course, it only made sense that there were ups as well as downs in all of this. Starting out, it was quite easy to see the negative so any positive was a gift.
"That's a good thing to know. Some aren't so lucky. We should probably find out what you might have problems with. Who knows, maybe you'll be really lucky and not have weaknesses to stuff like that. Means you won't have to change as much of your routine." That had been one thing she had really hated. Remembering to bring protection for her eyes had been a problem at first. After going most of her life without worrying about the sun had made it difficult to learn to take her gear. It had also been unfortunate as she had loved sunny days and had often frolicked about in them. Hyo's smile made her feel better as she started thinking about it. How nice to have someone to understand but also be able to pull her back. "Yes, I suppose you could say that. Much better than weird or freakish lady." The next part of his comment, she hadn't really thought about. It wasn't something she noticed; of course, she didn't really think guys noticed her vampire or no. "I never really noticed. They might."
Silently, she waited for Hyo to ask anything that he might desire to know. There was no rush, and she wanted to let him think. When he did start to ask his question, she had to smile. It was one of the first things she had wanted to know as well. It was probably a common one. "Don't worry. It wasn't confusing at all. I will probably answer all of them unless I just don't know. This one is a little easier. At first, it is rather sporadic as to how long you can last. You're just learning how to control urges, and you're probably coming off of that initial frenzy you had when all you wanted to do was eat. Now, it's just settling into your rhythm. I can last a couple of weeks without feeding, but longer than that and it's really a struggle. Actually, I almost 'starved' not too long ago. The thing that matters is how much you drink when you do feed. For example, if all you drink is a teacup full, that won't last you as long as a bowl. Health doesn't seem to really matter though most prefer healthy. It's all in the taste. The what...I suppose that makes a difference but mostly in the case of animals versus non animals. After all, humans are what we are 'supposed' to drink. Of course, some of us drink more often than we need to, but that sort of thing is really up to you." It was a long answer, but she hoped she had touched everything. "Feel free to ask for clarification if something in that wasn't clear. Or ask another question. Choice is yours."
Another smile blossomed across her face when Hyo smiled. She liked it. "There's something in you. I saw it when we worked together, and I see it now. You've got it. I'm just glad I can help." Speaking this freely with someone was nice and a surprise that she had not counted on this evening. Originally she had come to clear her mind and get rid of the thoughts that were clouding it. Now, she had come across someone that she could see herself knowing and being friends with for the rest of her life. That sort of thing didn't just happen to her. That kind of surprise was exactly what she had needed tonight. For that she was extremely thankful to Hyo.
Note: Hyo is amazing. I wish to huggle him.
