WORDS 611 | TAGGED LEAH | NOTES I hope it's ok! Little by little Alexei was getting used to the place. He wasn’t feeling as homesick before, although of course he still missed Siberia and all the snow, but Beauxbatons wasn’t so bad either. Eventually he would feel like it was his second home. He had met so many new people which excited him, because he had realized how lonely he had been back at home in the end whenever his grandmother hadn’t been at home. She traveled a lot and kept secrets from him, for his own good or so she said. While staying here it had been so much different; he had listened to other peoples’ worries and heard their secrets as well as shared his own ones. He felt like he had been missing out on so many things, but in a way he did understand his grandmother too and her reasoning why she hadn’t wanted him to contact any outsiders. But at least finally she had let him spread his wings a bit and he was grateful for that. He had been so thirsty for knowledge.
All of the snow seemed to have melted, but it didn’t bother him that much anymore. At first it had really bugged him, because over the tears he had gotten so used to the snow, especially when during January and February it was usually the coldest in Siberia, normally down to -50 Celsius in where he lived. But at least there was no need to wear all the heavy clothing and it was a lot easier to breathe too when it wasn’t that cold. The sun also felt somewhat warm already, although he didn’t dare to take his jacket off just yet. That wouldn’t necessary be a good idea.
Alexei had made plans to meet Leah today, and because he had had the chance to pick the place he had chosen the stables, because he hadn’t been there before. Well, honestly, he hadn’t been to many places in Beauxbatons just yet, but right now he felt like seeing some horses, hoping it would make the feeling of homesick totally disappear. Back at home he had gotten so used to having animals around him all the times; horses, dogs, rabbits, sheep, cows, etc. Once he found his way to the stable he realized how much bigger and different it was from what they had with his grandmother. Wow. Everything in Beauxbatons so far had completely surprised him and everything seemed just so much greater than what he had even imagined.
Calmly he pushed the stable doors open, making sure that he wouldn’t startle the horses in case one or more of them were more sensitive than the others. His face brightened right away once he saw the first horse eating some hay inside its own stall, and Alexei couldn’t help himself but to walk over to the stall, carefully reach for the horse and patting and stroking its neck gently while still smiling kindly to it. Amazing and beautiful creatures, weren’t they? That’s what he thought. It would be really amazing to get to ride with one of these, but he wasn’t sure if students were allowed to do that. Maybe under supervision. He would have to ask about it later, for sure. “What’s your name, huh? Do you have one?” He spoke to the horse while still patting its neck and thinking that he really should have brought some carrots or other yummy treats from the kitchen for the horses. Too bad he wasn’t quite sure where the kitchen even was, so he would have to figure that out later as well. There were so many things left to see in Beauxbatons.
It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand that I'm never changing who I am? |

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: ALEXEI OUTFIT: HERE ONE LAST THING: I kinda ranted a bit. SORRY! . Enough was enough. As the sun began to shine through her window that morning, Leah became resolved to have fun today. No more moping around over Rue and being depressed. After meeting up with Asahria a few days before and speaking with Sampson that night she snuck for some food from the kitchens, she realized that moping did nothing. She had to be proactive. If she loved Rue as much as she said she did, Leah couldn’t give up. She had to be aggressive with him and make him realize that she was not going to let go that easily. She had given two years of her life to that kid. He was there for her when her husband died. Leah would not be shaken that easily.
She woke up that morning, got dressed and actually went down to eat breakfast. Yes, today Leah ate her first full meal in weeks (enter applause here). Granted, she still had many meals to go before she was back her voluptuous self, but until then, she was still skinny as ever. Her clothes still hung loosely on her body, but there was nothing she could do about that right now. She supposed she could take them in a little to fit her small frame a tad bit better, but if she started putting on her weight again, she would just have get them fixed again. Besides, wasn’t the baggy look kind of in right now? Today, Leah and her friend, Alexei, had made plans to see each other. Friends was exactly what she needed right now. Alexei was a great guy. He was new to the school, having come from Siberia a couple of weeks ago. He was definitely kind of clueless to the world, but certainly any one living in Siberia for their entire life would be. France was a big shock to Leah when she came here from England. People viewed her accent as “funny”. Leah viewed it as understandable. Alexei had an accent too, but his was a lot more exotic to her. It was certainly not an accent she had ever heard before.
Off topic. Anyway, they had agreed to meet in the stables today. Leah was ecstatic. It had been forever since she had seen her horse, Aries, a wedding gift from Daniel when they had gotten married two years ago. It had been hard to Leah to really look after Aries, seeing as every time she saw him, she saw her late husband. Again, that was something she had to quickly get over. How could she still be so upset about Daniel when she was madly in love with Rue? Her love life was just incredibly messed up and all over the place. She needed to just focus on friends right now it seemed.
She arrived at the stables and found Alexei speaking to Aries. How weird that it just happened to be Aries he was speaking to, huh? ”It’s Aries,” [/b] she told him, walking to the stables and approaching her friend. ”He’s mine. He was a gift from my husband…well…late husband.”[/b]” Aries had looked as beautiful as ever. His white coat was like snow. Those elves that watched over the horses had taken such good care of them. ”How are you Alexei?”[/b] Leah asked her friend, grateful for having some company today as she began her “brand new life”.[/blockquote] [/div] tell me that we both matter dont we [/center]

WORDS 454 | TAGGED LEAH | NOTES eeek, this sucks so bad and is so lame ): sorry. i can try add stuffi f you want if you can't get anything out of this and find it hard to reply to. let me know, mmkay? i won't mind, i promise! Alexei was petting the gorgeous white horse and hadn’t heard any footsteps which why he was taken by a surprise when he heard Leah’s soft voice behind him. “Hi! Oh, Aries, huh?” He turned to look back at the horse again, for a moment wondering how Leah knew the name and if she came there often, but soon he learned the reason and found out it was her horse. He actually hadn’t known that students were allowed to bring their own horses there, but it completely made sense now, because there were so many horses in the stables. Perhaps he could bring one of his own as well, he would love that. To that thought he didn’t have a chance to concentrate any further as he heard Leah mention that Aries had been a gift by her late husband; again he was a bit taken back. He hadn’t known before that she had been married.
“I’m sorry…” He wasn’t sure what else to say, but he did feel really bad. “I’ve been good. Learned a lot of new things… eh…” He stopped suddenly, hesitated for a moment before continuing, “I’m sorry, are you not comfortable here? We can go elsewhere too. I think I saw benches right outside of the stables, we could go sit there.” He was genuinely worried now and hoped that he hadn’t completely blown things up and gotten her into a bad mood or something. He had done a bad mistake without realizing it at all. Well, everyone made mistakes and it didn’t seem like Leah was mad at him about it or anything, but he still worried. Had he unintentionally made her feel bad? “Or we could always go grab something sweet from the kitchen.” He winked at her with a small smile again upon his lips, wondering how he could make her feel better.
Going to grab something to eat wasn’t a bad idea at all, because he was feeling slightly hungry, but not too much, so it wouldn’t bother if they didn’t go. He didn’t mind at all about staying at the stables, but just wanted to be wherever she would feel the most comfortable. He did get a feeling that she hadn’t been to the stables in awhile, because of the way she looked at Aries. “You know… you can talk to me if something worries you. I’m a pretty good listener in my own opinion.” Alexei said with a blunt face and in all honesty while tilting his head a bit to his right and looking directly at her as he spoke. He really was a good listener though, and wasn’t one to gossip. He was good at keeping secrets and therefore very trustworthy guy.
It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand that I'm never changing who I am? |

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: ALEXEI OUTFIT: HERE ONE LAST THING: no problem (: Alexei was being Alexei: ranting off apologies, suggesting they could go other places, etc. It brought a smile to the young girl’s face. Thank goodness she had opted to hang out with Alexei over some of the other guys she knew. Alexei was just so adorable that it made Leah happy. Is that weird? Yeah probably, but those are her feelings, don’t judge. Having come from such a vulnerable place earlier this month, it felt like the 2 ton weights had been lifted off her small shoulders after her long talk with Asahria. She made her realize that if things were meant to be, they would work out fine. And even if they didn’t, Leah tried and gave all her love to a person who had loved her back until she broke his heart. There were plenty of fish in the sea and, judging by the amount of new faces Leah had been seeing these past couple of weeks, she was bound to find someone who wouldn’t care about her past and look forward to the future. ”Alexei, you need to chill a second,” [/b] Leah laughed, approaching her friend and embracing him in a small hug. ”We can sit around here for a while. It’s been ages since I’ve seen Aries,”[/b] she approached the white horse and he let out a nay, nuzzling his nose into Leah’s neck. Her blue eyes spotted a brush hanging outside of his stall and she grabbed it. Unlocking the door, Leah lead the horse out of the stable and into the open area. Lord only knew how long he had been locked in there. She felt awful for having neglected him for so long, but she had been grieving over Daniel, then se met Rue and spent all her time with him, and then she came back and was so depressed she hardly left her room. Leah would love to ride him again though. Aries was probably the most wonderful gift anyone had ever given her (excluding the ruby centered ring Daniel had given her when he proposed, which was still safely tucked away in its box at the bottom of her trunk). She began to brush the horses white hair, getting all the knots and dirt off of his nose. ”I’m sorry I was such a terrible mommy. I promise I’ll get better,”[/b] she whispered to him, planting a kiss on his nose. You know… you can talk to me if something worries you. I’m a pretty good listener in my own opinion. She perked up a bit and turned her attention to Alexei. She flashed him a smile before she answered. ”Talk to you about my messed up past or my messed up present?”[/b] she told him, letting out a laugh and shaking her head. At least she could laugh at how crappy her life was right about now. Leah was unsure if she had ever given Alexei any insight into how her life was before she met him. It seemed like the two of them just met and clicked and didn’t bother to go into discussions about family, lost loves, or drama in their lives. They lived in the moment and that was pretty good. No need to dwell on things of the past forever right? [/blockquote] [/div] tell me that we both matter dont we [/center]
