!! HEAD IN THE CLOUDS, YEAH. Aislin grabbed her hair on both sides and lifted it up, basically just trying to find anything to fiddle with. Usually when in the library, the vibes of the place would calm her normally over excitable self, but not today. Maybe it was because she was seeing her dear friend Hyo Joon? That would be the only logical explanation! Why else would she be internally plotting some ludicrous plan to cause a rather unsettling disturbance in the building? Not a malicious disturbance! Oh no, not at all! More like, turning the books the wrong way round on their shelves… Or… jumping up on the tabletop and screaming out “PLAAAAAAGUE!” Yes, it had to be her excitement to see her friend. There was no other explanation. ESPECIALLY AS COSSU FRIENDS WERE HER FAVOURITE PEOPLE! I mean, there was Kabes after all… Also a Cossu… Who Aislin thought the world of. And then Hyo Joon as well… See, all the best kinds of people were in Cossu. Fact.
Fact. Fact. Fact. Fact. Fact.
Prior to her sudden surge of fidgety-ness, Aislin had successfully located three very interesting books to have a look at later on. The first was a book on the Cottingley Fairies and the Muggle interpretation of the events that surrounded said fairies, the second was on Kelpies (as in the magical creature, not the farm-dog) and the third was a work of fiction. As much as Aislin liked to read though, it was not her most favourite pastime… No, that belonged to music. She’d been playing guitar for about 10 years and dabbled with keys… So she pretty much couldn’t survive without some form of music in her life. Cliché, yes. Such a typical thing to say. But she really couldn’t! But seeing as though music was such a big part of most other peoples lives too, she hardly ever had a moment in her life without it. Which was definitely a good thing.
Aislin crossed her legs on her chair and waited eagerly for the boy to arrive. Not much longer now, surely! She couldn’t remember if they’d decided on a specific time… She’d made it kind of vague. As she always did when planning to meet up with people. Vintage Aislin. Vintage airhead. The Cossu reminisced back to when they’d first met. Classic times, crazy days. She really cherished his friendship and hoped to keep the crazy kid forever.

Trouble troublemaker, yeah, that's your middlename. You're a troublemaker, but damn girl it's like I love the trouble and I can't even explain why. All you could hear was the rustle of the quill against a parchment as a young boy was writing while lying on his comfortable soft bed as he was doing his homework. At times you could hear snoring too though, because his roommate was taking a nap; it bothered Hyo Joon a lot. Every time he startled when his roommate snored all of a sudden which why his trail of thoughts got cut and he had to re-think everything he was going to write down. After getting enough of it though he took the pillow next to him and threw it on his roommate’s face, not saying a single word though, but just kept writing. Of course it woke up his roommate though who muttered something angrily at him before leaving their dorm which caused Hyo Joon to smirk widely at himself; finally some peace. He cleared his throat a bit and started humming a song, something he often did and one of those things that helped him to concentrate, but at the same time help him keep his vocal cords intact.
After fifteen minutes he finally finished writing the essay, but instead of putting them nicely back into his school bag, he just left them all lying on the bed while hoping that he’ll remember to move them before going to sleep, so that they won’t be all wrinkled once he wakes up. He checked his watch and felt glad that he had got all the homework done before going to hang out with Aislin, because who knew how late they would be rampages through the halls of the palace. The time always seemed to just fly by when he was with her, because they came up with the weirdest ideas. Of that he mostly thanked Aislin, he loved her ideas.
So in a flash he left the dorm and the common room behind him and headed towards the school’s library where they had promised to meet, although he wasn’t sure what exact time he was supposed to be there. He couldn’t remember if they had planned to be there at certain time or not. Perhaps not, knowing the two of them. Err, especially Aislin, but he wasn’t very good with checking the clock anyway. Usually he ran late, but this time there shouldn’t be such a chance, because for sure they hadn’t planned an exact time to meet.
Once he arrived in front of the library he slowly and quietly pushed the door open, not seeing Miss Fox, the librarian, anywhere. He did though see the back of his friend which caused a sly smirk form upon his lips before he sneaked up behind her before suddenly screaming loudly “BOO!” and then cackling like a maniac right after that. “GOT’CHA! DIDN’T I?” Still with the smirk upon his face he turned to look towards the table and noticed a small pile of books that Aislin had possibly gathered there. He checked the titles of them quickly and said, “Oh, fairies. Cool.” Anything magical always caught his interest and Aislin’s fairy-blood did fascinate him a lot, although he hadn’t really had a chance to ask about it much yet. “So what should we do?” He asked before his eyes already quickly widened and he sat fast next to her and leaned close to her before saying “Hey, I’ve seen a few books in here which covers are quite loose. We should mix the covers! I forgot to do that last time.” He leaned back again, looking thoughtful while he let his gaze wander around the quiet library, wondering what else they could do. The library was unusually quiet, but he was absolutely fine with that. It was perfect. The two didn’t have to be too wary about some interrupting them then.

!! HEAD IN THE CLOUDS, YEAH. “BOO!” Aislin jumped slightly, but relaxed at the comfort of a familiar voice. Hyo Joon! She spun around and threw her arms out, signaling it was time for her to squash him in a ginormous bear hug. She jumped up, squished him, let go and smiled warmly. “You did get me, you psycho! But only because I was off in la-la land!” She grinned and sat back down on her chair. She’d forgotten how much she loved hanging out with Hyo Joon, and she’d not yet spent more than 2 minutes with the Cossu boy. ”Just you wait… I’ll get you next time!” she laughed. Actually, sneaking up on people was either something she could be really good at, or really terrible at! For example, there was one time when she’d tried to sneak up on someone, but made a terrible racket tripping over something in the process and then she’d become the centerpoint for hysterical laughing. She was okay with that, though. She didn’t mind when people took the mickey out of her. It was all in good fun.
She noticed her friends eyes fall upon her fairy book and nodded at his statement. “Yeah, fairies can be cool sometimes, I guess… Thought I’d give reading up on ma fam history a little go” she gave a little embarrassed smile, hoping she didn’t seem self obsessed or however it may seem. She’d always found it super interesting, reading up on fairies, and being able to point out certain characteristics that she herself had. Aislin’s mother was a fairy, and had apparently captured her fathers attention during her shape shifting business; human form, clearly. Their daughter, therefore, was what was known as a Halfling. Aislin the Halfling.
“So what should we do?” Good question! What should they do? She raised her eyebrows quizzically at her friends’ sudden movement. All of a sudden he was right next to her… “Cover mixing, you say?” Aislin asked, intrigued. Her face lit up into what can only be described as the embodiment of mischievousness. “I think, mister, we have ourselves an agenda! They were so very naughty! And she knew they were going to cause someone a lot of annoyance. But the idea was far too wonderful to pass up. Of course, there was only so much time they could spend in the library. Especially seeing as though they were plotting to swap around book covers. Aislin was bound to get super excitable and bouncy after that. Perhaps they could go somewhere else afterwards? She was cool with whatever.

Trouble troublemaker, yeah, that's your middlename. You're a troublemaker, but damn girl it's like I love the trouble and I can't even explain why. Hyo Joon had completely gotten used to getting hugged by Aislin already, but still he wasn’t sure if it was a good idea; he was a newbie vampire after all. He hadn’t told her that yet though although he know he should have, so that she would know that she wasn’t completely safe around him. But how were you supposed to tell that to anyone at all? Just go ‘Hey, how are you? I’m a vampire by the way’ didn’t seem like a good option. There really was never going to be a good moment to tell it, so he should just spit it out, but he just couldn’t get the words out of his mouth. Only a few people knew. Alegra, obviously, and Calcifer, whom he had asked help to control it, but had turned him down. Then there was Drystan who was helping him out, but that wasn’t a good idea at all. And Penelope, Nyu Ri, Jae Syun and Yuki. That was pretty much it. None of these people had told it to anyone else and of that he was very grateful. He wanted to be the one to tell it to anyone who he felt like deserved to know. Like Aislin. Yet he couldn’t get himself to do it.
It was quite important for him to tell her, because her scent… it was wonderful. The fairy blood in her at times drove him mad, but so far he had been able to keep himself from sinking his teeth in her veins, but it could happen anytime, anywhere. Therefore it he should tell her before it was too late, so that she would know to be enough careful. He just really didn’t want to lose her friendship, it was important to him. Around her he could be himself and do as he pleased and have fun. Enjoy life. Pretend he was normal.
The hug didn’t last too long, so he was alright. He would always try to hold his breath when hugging anyone, especially Aislin. Fairy blood perhaps smelled the greatest. Muggle blood was… it was ok, but nothing interesting. It was easier not to feel so drawn to muggle blood, or normal witches and wizards for that matter, actually. Their blood wasn’t all that special either unless they were from long line of purebloods. Some demons’ blood smelled awful while some did attract him closer, such as succubus blood. Oh, and Elven blood was really good too, but fairy blood… yes, definitely the best scent he had noticed.
“Pfft, maybe you will, maybe you won’t.” Hyo smirked at her after she mentioned how she would get him next time. It wasn’t unlikely at all that she would, but of course he would pretend that he wasn’t afraid at all. He just hoped it she wouldn’t surprise him by hugging him from behind or anything like that, because that could end up badly if he wasn’t enough cautious and expecting it. Maybe she would just poke him and scream ‘boo’ like he had. That would be better. But he could never guess, because this was Aislin after all; it was hard to figure her out.
He nodded a few times while looking at the books and said, “I get it. I would definitely do the same if I was a fairy or something else. It’s important to know about yourself.” he smiled, again thinking how he now could say that he had also been reading a huge bunch of books about vampires too, but the words really wouldn’t come out of his mouth and his lips stayed sealed. Nope, he couldn’t bring himself up to do it.
“Great! So that’s what we’re going to do. I think Miss Fox is on her lunch break, so we got around… thirty minutes at least I’d say.” He smirked cunningly, rubbed his hands together mischievously before biting his lower lip and looking around. “Let’s start from that shelf, shall we? I’ve seen at least one there with loose covers, but I bet there are plenty of more. If not… hhmm, maybe we could use some spell to take some covers off. …Or would that be too bad? We mustn’t get caught.” He looked thoughtful as he walked over to the shelf he had pointed out, wondering how many points they would lose if someone found them out. Well, they hadn’t been caught before, so hopefully they wouldn’t this time either. He did feel a bit bad for Ashlune, because it was not her he wanted to cause any trouble, but for other students. Just a small prank. No one would get hurt, right? “Hhmm, as we don’t have much time… We need to also think what do after…” He spoke while picking out books from the shelf and checking if the covers were intact or not. “That is if you still want to hang out of course. Do you got anywhere to be?” He hoped not, of course. He would love to spend all day with Aislin if he could. Maybe they could sneak to the kitchens or catacombs or… well, wherever really. He wouldn’t really mind where they would go to continue their fun & bad behavior.

!! HEAD IN THE CLOUDS, YEAH. Aislin noticed her friends body language alter slightly (Only very, very slightly, mind!) at her touch and she was momentarily troubled. She hoped she hadn’t done something to upset him. Maybe she shouldn’t glomp him because of Alegra… She’d never been entirely sure about boundaries. But it was a harmless hug! Hmmmm, she wasn’t entirely sure. This all changed as soon as he started speaking again, though, and for this she was pleased if still a little put out. She figured, however, if it was that big of a deal he’d let her know eventually… In his own time. Aislin hadn’t ever been one to keep how she was feeling internalised. Usually she was out with it, straight away! Depending on the content, naturally. This was probably due to the fact that she was a highly emotive person. It could also be due to the fact that from a very young age, her mum would mercilessly extract anything that was troubling Aislin. So now, she just did it automatically. However! With the situation at hand (which could more than possibly be in Aislin’s head) it was not unlike Aislin to read into things. That realization helped her worries tip over somewhat… Which was ironic… Because her understanding of her anxiety produced a sense of calm. Bit weird, really.
ANYWAYS. She smiled broadly at his comment about knowing more about background and it was intensified as soon as he mentioned that they had 30 minutes. 30 minutes!. They could do A LOT in 30 minutes! As he made his way to the shelf he’d pointed out, she followed him, hot on his heels. This was going to be so much fun! She loved how silly she could be with Hyo Joon. Not many people were willing to join Aislin on her escapades. That’s why she thought of him as one of her closest friends. She wasn’t sure if he felt the same about their friendship. Maybe was more casual about it, but she loved having him as a friend! She picked up a couple of books and fiddled about with them until they were successfully mismatched and grinned mischievously at Hyo Joon. They were so bad. But it was all in good fun. Typical Aislin hadn’t even thought about the ramifications of what they were doing. It was more like Hyo Joon to think about that kind of thing. It was much more an Aislin thing to think about it all AFTER it had been done.
“Or would that be too bad?” She heard this and stopped momentarily. Thought about what he had said, and shook her head. “I don’t think so… I mean, we’re already going at it, why not go the extra mile?” She half smiled, put the other books back on the shelf and picked up another two books with hard covers, using a spell to transfer the words from one cover onto another. “Like that?” She asked, beaming. Ugh, she was having so much fun! She’d gotten herself so transfixed in the motions that she’d very nearly missed Hyo Joons question; what should they do after this? Especially as they didn’t have all that long until Ashlune arrived. “Oh! Um, I’m not sure! I seriously cool with absolutely anything… And OF COURSE I’d like to keep hanging with you, you dweeb! Why would I not!? You’re one of my closest friends, after all!” She grinned and rolled her eyes at him playfully, as if he had asked the silliest question on the planet.

Trouble troublemaker, yeah, that's your middlename. You're a troublemaker, but damn girl it's like I love the trouble and I can't even explain why. Hyo Joon tried his best to act normal, the way he always was, but becoming a vampire had changed him somewhat whether he had wanted it to or not. He had never wanted to become a vampire, but of course as a kid after hearing vampire stories he had thought about it and wished he could be as strong and as fast, but nothing else. Never had he wanted to drink blood or hurt anyone close to him. Well, maybe kick the asses of some bullies, but that’s it. No killing. Somehow so far he had been able to restrain himself from doing that with the help of Drystan, but only time would tell when there would be a first victim. There were zero vampires that wouldn’t have killed someone, on purpose or accidentally. For example Penelope stroke as an incredibly kind and good-hearted vampire, but for sure she had accidentally killed someone too. Or maybe bad people on purpose.
He hadn’t changed completely though, luckily. At first he had been terribly afraid he would become a cold and old boring vampire like Calcifer is, but soon had realized that he was still enjoying all the simple little things in life and was still his goofy old self. No changes in that, thankfully. But he had become a lot more cautious which probably was noticeable although he tried to make it not be. He really wished his friends wouldn’t notice any changes in his actions and that they would still trust him, because really, they could. Of that he had also been afraid of. What if he would hurt his friends? What if they didn’t trust him anymore? Therefore he hadn’t really told a lot of people. He wouldn’t have told Alegra either, but she was right on the spot when all of it happened. That was the only reason she knew about it. And he was still avoiding her and staying away, because he was afraid what she might say or do, if she would act differently towards him from now. Or if he would hurt her accidentally.
The young Cossu male chuckled when Aislin mentioned not finding it a bad thing if they took things a bit further with the cover swapping. “Imagine a student taking a huge pile of books, carrying them with her or his last strength over the table and finally able to sit down and then finding out they were not at all the books she or he had needed.” Yes, it was amusing to him. He found other people’s unluckiness funny when it was caused by himself or by a friend and when it didn’t go too far. This wasn’t too far. No one would get hurt. So why worry? He found it hilarious.
“Like that?”
He heard the female Cossu ask to which he nodded a few times, quite excited that one of his best friends was with him on this. She was just so into it, just like he was. They were having a blast! He knew not many others would find this amusing at all and would shake their heads if he even mentioned such a thing jokingly, but Aislin was having just as much as he was. A small smile formed upon his face as he thought about it while changing yet another cover about werewolves with a book about giants. He listened her answer to his question, sneered a bit, but when he saw her eye rolling he pushed her a bit, gently, before jokingly saying, “Don’t you roll your eyes at me, young lady!” like a parent would say to their child.
But indeed, what else could they do? Empty the kitchens from all the food? Although he loved food (even after turning into a vampire he still adored human food) the two still wouldn’t be able to eat enough to cause any trouble. The house-elves weren’t stupid and would have enough food for everyone no matter what. It would have been amusing to go watch students who were hungry to eat some dinner, but then a professor would tell everyone that all the food was gone and no one would be getting anything. Too bad that was too hard task to accomplish. “But what to do, what to do…” He mused before his eyes stopped to hover over the title of a small book about vampires that he hadn’t read before. It looked more like a notebook. On purpose he passed on it and didn’t change the covers, hoping that he could find it later on if he came back looking for it. He found it too risky to grab it now, mostly because he was really bad with excuses and there was no way he was just going to tell Aislin now “I’m going to take this book with me, because I’m a vampire”. He could imagine Aislin staring at him horrified.
Such thoughts distracted him too much, so he cleared his throat a bit before moving on to another book and speaking again, “How about… eh, I don’t know. Why am I out of ideas! This is odd.” He frowned and tried to concentrate better and come up with some kind of mischievous plans. Or maybe they could just be; sit and talk.
