[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, line-height:80%;][atrb=style, width:350px; padding:10px; background:#ffffff;] TELL ME GIRL IF EVERY TIME WE TOUCH YOU GET THIS KIND OF RUSH Kabriel woke up that morning to the sound of birds singing the song of the dawn and the leaves dripping off the last of their morning dew. She smiled and lay there a little longer, the most comfortable she had been in days and she rested. She got the chance to rest at last, after weeks of work and stress. Why? Because the break was approaching. She could feel it. And the anticipation grew every day it neared. She hopped out of bed and gathered her head as she looked around her vacant room. The girls managed to miss each other constantly, and it wasn't until the evening did they seldom see one another awake. Kabes plucked up some items off the ground and tossed them onto her unmade bed. She put together an outfit off the top of her head and proceeded to prepare for the day. She quickly scrawled a few things on two pieces of parchment and called her owl, the dear Lysander, to come to her aid and deliver them to two very important Rouerie students. Pleased with the progress of the morning, and as a particular reward, the girl decided she merited some sort of treat... one that she had had her eye on for quite some time now. Kabes ran a fingers along the strap of her bag as she walked through the streets. The weather was changing drastically and she felt as though the cold air would soon change to something warmer and more welcome. Well, that was ages ago. So here she was walking to the boutiques in shorts, with nothing more than a blazer to protect her. It may be the middle of February, but it wasn't all that cold out. She noticed that the snow had stopped falling weeks ago, and the weather was warm enough that a coat wasn't required. She felt her legs prickle with the cool gust of wind that blew towards her, but she persisted. She held her bag as she took careful steps along the way, careful to avoid puddles. Slowly but surely, spring was approaching. She was most certainly grateful for this fact... winter tended to last way too long, making the days feel short and abrupt, with nothing more than the moonlight for comfort most days and nights. Kabriel arrived in the boutiques and made a beeline for The Robe Outlet, where she was destined to buy that beautiful necklace that had been sitting in the window for weeks. She had been coveting it for quite some time and she felt that it was about time that she bought it. Saving up for weeks and weeks at a time, she decided that she would make a day of the Boutiques and invited Otis and Lily along to meet her later at the Teashop at the end of the street. Her shoes clicking against the cobblestones, she finally made it into the shopped and asked the shopkeeper, with a load of enthusiasm and excitement as she brought out her coin pouch, if she could purchase the necklace in the window. It was ornate and glass, wonderfully fragile and yet so beautiful and playful. Something she knew was meant for her. The shopkeeper agreed and slipped it into a little box, tying it with a little red ribbon before Kabes forked over the 50 galleons. She beamed as she left the shop, heading now to have some tea with her two best friends in the world down at the teashop. She skipped down the street, her brand new purchase jingling inside her satchel. Once she finally made it to the end of the street, she was out of breath, but her cheeks were pink from glee. She opened the front door which had some fake frost lining the edges for a nice, wintery effect, and slipped inside. A little bell rang as she entered and she found a comfortable seat in front of the window in a booth lined with some pink pillows. She giggled to herself at the thought of Otis sitting with her and Lily among the pillows, but of course... when it would actually happen, she knew she'd be even more entertained. She tucked some hair behind her ear and pulled out the little white box. She undid the red ribbon and popped it open, revealing the beautiful necklace. She strung it around her neck, overtop of her tie, and smiled, admiring it as she stared at her reflection in the window. She glanced down at the table again and stared at the little candle. It danced back and forth as she watched it, and she was so immersed in the flame that she barely noticed the shadow of a waitress beside her. The girl cleared her throat and Kabes looked up, startled before becoming a little sheepish. She ordered a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream before she resumed staring out the window. She watched a few people pass her by before she got distracted and pulled a worn out book from the library from her bag. It wasn't anything too exciting, just a story she read once upon a time, a few years ago when she first met an old flame of hers. She turned the pages of Emma until she found her spot and let her eyes dance along the page as she read each word as though it were her meal. She barely even noticed when her drink arrived, until its aroma had completely devoured her and she was overcome by the urge to just drink it all up. She put the book down and in a flurry she lifted the hot mug to her lips and took a sip. The scalding hot chocolate burned her tongue and she put the cup down quickly, breathing in and out rather quickly. She nursed her burned tongue and continued to get distracted by those around her. It was mostly couples or girls surrounding her and the teashop, and she was wondering what the impression would be when Otis walked in. Probably a few distracted glances since he was so good looking. Kabes always wondered why she had never found Otis attractive... he was older, and handsome... and he was like her in social standing and extrovertedness. Then again, she also wondered why him and Lily never got together as well. Sometimes, she wondered if they could be ever see the other as more than a friend as she could sometimes, but of course there had to be times when being friends trumped any sort of idea of a romantic relationship. They were the three amigos, the three musketeers! They would be friends forever.

Lily had woken up much earlier than anticipated, which meant one of two things: a) she would be grumpy all day or b) she'd be super peppy and awake. Sometimes she wasn't sure which was worse for people. Lily decided to make this day a productive one. She put on her winter running clothes: leggings, sweatshirt, ear band thingy, and gloves. She adjusted her pony tail and took her music device before leaving her dorm and the Rouerie common room, eager to start before she wimped out. Back in her muggle schooling days (yes she was a pureblood, but that didn't mean she couldn't appreciate muggles and their schooling) she had played sports and liked to stay in shape, but once she was shipped off to Beauxbatons, the constant activity ceased and she was lazier. Fortunately, she maintained her figure, and she did play Quidditch, but compared to the 90 minutes of straight running soccer provided, Quidditch didn't always seem like that much of a workout. So, on the rare day that she was feeling up to it, Lily forced herself to run.
Lily ran around the garden and Quidditch pitch, noticing that it was surprisingly warm out for February. That was another weird thing about France, it just did not share England's weird weather patterns. It's true what they say about summertime in England, it's only there for a week. So the warmth in winter was always a bit surprising for the English girl. After Lily felt like she was going to fall over and die from exhaustion, she decided that she had worked herself out enough and wanted to cry when she thought about the seven flights of stairs up to the Rouerie Common Room. If only magic carpets were still legal. Lily reached the common room wheezing heavily and was quite sure she scared some first years, but all she wanted was a shower. As she flopped onto her bed, Lily noticed a familiar owl perched on her windowsill. "Lyssss, to what do I owe this pleasure?" the owl seemed to understand her and stuck out its foot. Kabes was inviting her and Otis to a teashop. Lily did a little happy dance, don't make fun of her, it'd been awhile since the three of them had properly hung out. Lily then cursed as she realized she was already running late. She took a shower and contemplated what to wear. It was cold, but then it wasn't cold. Such decisions.
Ultimately, Lily decided on a pair of leggings and muggle band shirt with a jacket. That way, she could take off her jacket if it was too warm and if it was cold, she'd steal Otis' sweater or something. Lily put on her converse and the excitement started running through her veins as she practically skipped down the steps out of the castle. She made it to the village a little late, but knowing Kabes and her shopping, she'd probably forget about the time. Lily made a mental note to go back to town sometime because there were some stores that were basically calling her name and her stepdads bank account. After a few wrong turns she found what she presumed was the teashop, all decorated for Valentines Day. Lily scoffed at the decorations as she walked inside to find Kabes sitting at a table with a bunch of pink pillows as seats. "Kabyyyyyy, do you have a personal vendetta against me? You know pink clashes with my hair," she said sarcastically, leaning down to hug her friend when she noticed a parcel Kabes was holding. "Ooooo, what'd you buy, anything good?"

When Otis had gotten a letter from a familiar looking owl, Otis couldn't help but smile. Just as he suspected, it was from Kabriel. After opening the letter and reading it, Otis was glad Kabriel was good at planning things. Otis seemed like the type of person that should be organized and plan many things, but he had slacked off ever since retiring from his position as Head Boy. It was nice though to not have to worry about being that person to do all the planning and such. Otis could finally feel himself winding down and he felt like he could let go. For so many years he had that feeling that he needed to be perfect and show people how smart he was. He had been doing that for so long ( even before coming to Beauxbatons ) that Otis wasn't sure what to do with his life now. He wasn't a Prefect or a Head Boy and after coming back from his internship early in England, Otis felt a bit empty.
This get together with his two best friends would be a good thing for Otis. He had realized that he missed his friends very much. Otis felt a bit guilty for not staying in touch with any of his friends, but he had been so busy and frankly didn't think he'd see them again. It was harsh and not exactly very loyal of Otis to think like that, but he hated goodbyes. He was rubbish at them and never liked ending anything. It was one of the main reasons it was him always getting the dumping and not the other way around when in a relationship. He just hoped Lily and Kabriel knew him well enough to know that he had the best intentions for them and wasn't just leaving them behind like they didn't exist.
And so off he was to the tea shop Kabriel wanted them to meet up at. Otis wasn't particularly fond of meeting up at such a girly place, but Otis just shrugged it off. It wasn't like he didn't have a bunch of girl friends or anything to make him feel embarrassed about going in there. He did like tea, so it couldn't be that bad, right? Right. Otis decided he was going to go at a nice speed instead of his usual long strides that made him get to places much faster than other people. He was just too tall to slow down really. Habit took over in the end and Otis was getting more excited as he grew closer and closer to his destination. Soon he was in front of the tea shop door and continued on in.
It wasn't hard to find them since Lily was a red head and Kabes always stood out to Otis. They're entire body was recognizable to Otis by now after spending so much time together. Otis didn't really like how much Valentine decorations there were, but he tried to ignore it as he made his way over to where they were sitting. Pink pillows? Really? Otis thought as he shook his head. Pushing aside his complaints for later, Otis greeted his friends. "LILY!" Otis gave her a big hug and then sat on one of the giant pink pillows to give a big hug to Kabriel next. "You two are looking just as beautiful as always." Otis complimented and it was true. All of Otis's fears and doubts were washed away the moment he walked in and Otis finally felt home again.

[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, line-height:80%;][atrb=style, width:350px; padding:10px; background:#ffffff;] TELL ME GIRL IF EVERY TIME WE TOUCH YOU GET THIS KIND OF RUSH The little bird fluttered outside the window, graceful and happy now that spring was slowly approaching Beauxbatons and paying France a visit. Kabes watched its little wings flutter against the breeze, making it look windier than it was. Little birds always managed to do that, and every time Kabes wished she could fly with them to give them a little nudge. But knowing her as a bird, she'd end up flying into poles and trees all the time, the klutz that she was. She smiled down at her hot chocolate as she continued to nurse her tongue which was tingling from the burn. Sometimes hot hot chocolate was the greatest thing ever, but for some reason she really felt like more of a subdued, warm hot chocolate. She pulled off her blazer and stuffed it beside her on her cushions. She was a little distracted staring at her book and it took her a few seconds to spot the fiery haired Rouerie prefect fluttering over towards her and sitting down. "Well, psh!" she giggled, "Pink's the best! And even if it does, we all know you make everything look amaaaaazing." she wrapped her arms around her best friend, knocking over her hot chocolate in the process. "Jeebus!" she exclaimed, quickly pulling her wand out of her bag and giving it a quick wave. She still had a little trouble with the spell, but as she muttered, "Scourgify!" the liquid smooshed itself into a smaller glob and she sighed. "Do you have a napkin? I can never do this one right." she shook her head as a slight pink blush flew up her cheekbones.
Kabes smiled widely at the mention of her purchase as she showed Lilly the strange, glassy necklace hanging around her neck. "Isn't it the strangest, most serene thing you've ever seen?" she grinned, shaking it side to side and watching the hanging bows dance back and forth. "It's so pretty! But like... in a strange way. That's fragile. I'll probably break it, but I just really wanted to have it." she nodded. Kabes rarely ever bought herself anything pretty and tended to just use the same old jewelry. Her mother was getting more and more interested in fashion lately, sending Kabriel a few packages of some designs she either created herself or modeled after fancy fashion companies. Kabes loved how her mother focused on that, and wondered what it would be like to actually wear designer clothing... once, her mother had made her a dress for her birthday that looked like it had come from a fashion runway, but of course wearing the real dress would make her feel richer. Or so she thought. Kabriel hadn't been blessed with money in her family, especially since her parents weren't the wealthiest. With ten children, it made it especially more difficult to afford things. Many of Kabriel's books were hand-me-downs and her robes would have been had she not been a girl. Lucky her, being the first Lilly female. Her mother had babied her and dressed her up... only to have her run around with her brothers in the meadow and ruin her dresses. It was the life she had always led, and now that she had been without them in so long, living among girls her own age, she was becoming the lady her mother would be proud to have. Now, if only she'd want to become something other than a dragon tamer...
With a flurry of eyes shifting towards the door, the Rouerie boy had no idea how good he had it. Kabes could never really see Otis as anything but a brother to her, but many other girls at Beauxbatons saw him as the golden boy, the best guy, the one that everyone wanted to know. He was popular and well... he was that guy from school that you just knew. Kind of like how Kabriel saw Asahria as that girl who was just incredible. Regardless, she waved him over and he sat down, giving Lily a great big hug before leaning over for Kabes. Kabes flung her arms around his broad shoulders and greeted him with laughter and waves and many, many facial expressions that ended with a smile. "How are you?" she exclaimed to both of her best friends, "It's like we haven't seen each other since before... ever! IT'S LIKE WE AREN'T FRIENDS ANYMORE. WHAT IS WITH THAT?" she yelled, casually getting to her feet and slamming her fists down on the table. When she noticed the café go dead silent, she cleared her throat and sat back down, a deep red rising again to her cheeks. It was like she was glowing. "But really," she whispered, a stark contrast to her normal, extremely loud attitude, "Why have we not done this before?" she asked the pair as the waitress came over. She was just about to ask what the commotion was until Kabriel stopped her and spoke very quickly, "Can we have three of the bestest hot chocolates? And like... ten macaroons? And maybe a milk. Uh... skim. I like skim milk. It' sweeter. Guys, we're having hot chocolate because it's the best." she said, and then returned her attention to her friends. The waitress, a little stunned, turned around and went to deliver their order. Kabes felt a little pleased without getting thrown out of the shop (it had happened before, so she had had some practice).
"Guys, let's have a picnic."

Lily chuckled as Kabes commented on pink and how she could 'pull anything off', as if. "You're too kind, dear," she said, giving Kabes a quick kiss on the cheek. Kabes, being Kabes, somehow knocked over her hot chocolate in the process. "I forgot how crazy you are," Lily said, smiling brightly, finally they were reunited. She wasn't even quite sure what had happened between them. Lily had taken some time off, sure, but then she had just immersed herself in her studies so much that she barely saw the light of day. Well, that would change from now on. No way was she going to not hang out with her besties and prance around in all pink shops with them. What kind of person would she be to reject that offer? Lily smiled as the french girl asked for a napkin. She grabbed one off their tables napkin container and handed it to Kabes, amused. Honestly, she was one of the funniest people Lily had ever encountered. Like 'jeebus'? Lily could die laughing from that use. It's like once, Lily had this friend that said 'holy mother of a cow.' Like who says that?
Lily looked in awe at the necklace. It was soooo pretty. Like how in the world did Kabes find these awesome pieces. "That's amazing, Kabes. Remind me that I have to go shopping with you sometime because you always find the most incredible things and I just suck at shopping. So, it's only five minutes in and I'm already asking you out on a second date!" Lily sat down on a bunch of pillows, well, she really ended up laying down on them because they were so goddam comfortable. If they weren't pink, she'd steal all of them. Well, I could always change the color... Lily smiled and closed her eyes for a moment, before sitting back up, just in time to see one of her favorite people walk through the door. "OTISSSSSS." she stood up immediately and gave Otis and big big hug. "I've missed you so much. Like this whole thing was just so not okay, I haven't talked to anyone since like the medieval times." Lily blushed as Otis complimented Kabes and herself. "You're looking quite dashing yourself, Otis."
Lily nodded along to Kabes' friendly yelling at Otis. It was like they weren't friends anymore. What up with that? Obviously that needed to be changed immediately. Poor Otis, never knew what he was getting into when he became friends with Kabriel and Lily. Possibly two of the craziest people in the school. Well, Otis didn't seem to be complaining, probably because they were awesome. Lily smiled at the poor waitress who was trying to decipher Kabes' order. Hot chocolate sounded amazing right now. Mainly because Lily wanted some chocolate. Hmmm, maybe that's what I'll buy after this. I need to reload my sweets cos it's so far going down to the kitchens. Ain't nobody got time for that. Lily was ridiculously happy, she had forgotten how much she missed this, so, of course she felt a need to voice it to the group. "Wait, guys, I'm like so excited that we're all here. Kabes, this was another one of your absolutely fantastical ideas. Like, why has this never been done before? We're making this at least a monthly thing." Lily surveyed her two friends, positively delighted to find them looking cheery as well. Like always, Kabes suggested they have a picnic.
"So, are we talkin' outside 'cause I sorta just sat down so it might be awhile before I feel like standing again," Lily joked with a smile.

Why was he even worried his two best friends would be angry at him? Otis always made things more serious than they really were. It was just his inner anxiety filled self that made him worry all the time. His friends were literally two of the most happiest people Otis could possibly have befriended and were always incredibly optimistic. Otis liked that since it made him be optimistic. Otis knew that it bothered some of the other students about how happy and giggly they were, but Otis thought it was such a refresher for him. These two kept things interesting and were the opposite of keeping him grounded since Otis always seemed to be too realistic. He grew to not rolling his eyes at how silly they were and embraced it. Why crush their daydreams?
Lily and Kabes reacted right on cue and Otis couldn't keep the huge smile off of his face. He felt a bit bad since it really did seem like they hadn't been friends for awhile, but each one of them were busy with different things, but that didn't matter now that they were together again. His smile faltered a bit since he did feel guilty, but he would just have to get over that and have a good time. "I've missed you guys, too!" Otis said sincerely, looking between the two of them. "But we're here now, right? That's all that matters." Otis said more happily and wiggled a bit on his pillow, more to get a bit more comfortable but also because of his giddiness.
Otis did like the idea of getting together somewhere once a month, but perhaps not at the same spot every time? As much as Otis wanted to just go along with his friends and please them, he didn't think he could handle this place all the time. Maybe when they plan it for next month, he'd pitch in an idea or two for where they should go. Otis was really tempted to change the pillow he was sitting on to green or black. He didn't though because what Kabes had ordered had made him look up. Hot chocolate and macaroons? Otis had been here for many years, but hadn't had hot chocolate in a long time. He wasn't quite sure if he liked it or not, but maybe he would this time? He was slightly skeptical about it but didn't say anything. He felt sort of quiet compared to Lily and Kabes and wasn't sure where to start. Now that Kabes had ordered their large amount of food, they had a bit of time to just the three of them. "Maybe next time we could have a picnic?" Otis suggested since they were here and just had ordered some food and drinks and agreed with Lily; he just sat down and didn't feel like getting up just yet.

[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, line-height:80%;][atrb=style, width:350px; padding:10px; background:#ffffff;] TELL ME GIRL IF EVERY TIME WE TOUCH YOU GET THIS KIND OF RUSH Kabriel feigned shock, "FORGOT? How could you dare ever forget?" she ended with a fit of giggles that reminded her so much of when they had first met. Lily and Kabriel... bunny buddies. Inseparable. Kabes loved Lily so much it was insane. The two would probably be best friends forever and Kabes wouldn't have it any other way. Lily and Kabriel were both very similar - practically identical in personality! - and Kabriel wouldn't be who she was without her. She giggled again at Lily's request, "I would go shopping any day! Any time! Any place! But only with you, my adoring lover. You are definitely my most favourite date," she shot her a joking wink. It was true, the two were in love, but in a friendship kind of way. The young Cossu continued to mop up her spill, so tempted to just lick it off the table. She did manage to restrain herself from doing so because of silly society etiquette rules and such. Things humans did were kind of strange, were they not? Kabes sighed as though etiquette restrained the best of human desires and needs. And she needed a taste of the hot chocolate on the table. It was absolutely necessary. Before the drink wasted away, she swiped her finger in a little bit and took a little lick before blushing slightly and wiping the rest away quickly. She was a little odd at times, she knew, but at least she could be herself among friends.
Kabriel nodded in agreement. "This is very true, senor Otis. We are all here, finally - oh my goodness, it's been FOREVER! I can't even believe it took us this long to get together again," she laughed. The waitress finally returned with their drinks and Kabes eagerly took her hot chocolate, careful not to spill it this time. She smiled a thank you to her, reminding herself to tip her properly this time. Being a little on the poorer side of things, Kabes had to be careful when she spent her money. This was why she normally went to the kitchens for food instead of going out. But this was a very special occasion and she had saved up enough this time. Kabes glanced over at Lily and smiled, nodding in agreement. "Otis, you look like a knight. You need to joust. I'll joust you! I'LL JOUST YOU FOR LILY!" Kabes declared, giggling. It was all rather preposterous, but no one should put it past the girl for opening up a joking joust. "I'll joust you on broomsticks no less. Give you a bit of a challenge," she added sarcastically. It was common knowledge between these three that Kabes should never, ever, ever get on a broomstick for fear of death or for fear of someone else's serious injury. Despite having a Quidditch player in the family, she certainly lacked talent or any sort of coordination. She did love the sport, however, and found time to audition for the spot of commentator for Quidditch games. She hoped they'd start up soon enough, all she had to do was be patient.
Laughing quietly, she shook her head, "No no no, a picnic later! Not quite today of course," she smiled cheerfully. "Just when it gets warmer and such, that way we can sit around by the water and enjoy a delicious meal by the house elves and stuff!" she added, beaming at the pair. Just any excuse to hang out with them was enough for her. Spending so much time apart wasn't healthy for the three, especially since they all connected so well. For whatever reason, they would each take their turn leaving the school and leaving the others behind which always made for a difficult attempt to reach them and reunite once again. Kabes hoped it wouldn't happen again since being with them was starting to make her feel like herself again.

"You're right, this is atrocious behavior, how could I forget? Obviously we need to see each other more, Kabykinsss," Lily said, whipping out the old nickname. Since everyone called Kabriel Kabes, Lily had wanted to be different so she went with Kaby back in the day. Ooo, yayayya, Kabes would go shopping with her. She always needed a buddy because, to be honest, shopping made her really tired and bored and she knew she needed to do it every so often (presents and necessities she was lacking for classes and the like), but she was always so unmotivated to a) walk to the town and b) suffer through hours of standing and looking at things and trying on clothes. Lily was possibly the worst girl ever. Well, at least she dressed nicely sometimes and brushed her hair most mornings, except recently, she'd been struggling to get out of bed and would just not bother. Maybe this was her new look. "Awesome, we'll definitely go shopping. Maybe we can bring Otis sometime and get him in a dress. I think he'd look absolutely ravishing, dontcha think?" Lily teased happily.
"Yeah, I'm disappointed in us. Pack to make sure this never happens again?" Lily suggested cheerfully, putting her hand in the middle, ready to give a little pack hand thingy like in those american football games where they're all like "BREAK" and then go on to win the game and championship. Or at least that's how it's done in the movies. Lily laughed as Kabes went on about her and Otis jousting. Over her. "Guys, there's no need to joust over me, but I'd love to see it," Lily giggled at the idea of Kabes and Otis jousting. Who even thinks of these things? Oh, right: Kabes. That girl is crayyy. "Babe, I don't think you want to make this harder for yourself by adding the brooms," Lily suggested, smiling at Kabes, "We don't want you dying on us." Kabes was just atrocious on a broom. It was honestly a sorry sight. Lily was going to teach her once, but seeing her in a lesson had made Lily believe that Kabes would probably die and it'd all be Lily's fault for taking her in the air. That's why Kabes should just stick with commentating.
"Awesome, picnic will be our next group meeting. We can go to the kitchens beforehand and get food from the elves. Then go eat in the gardens or somewhere nice like that and it's almost summer and THE WEATHER WILL BE SO NICE. Can't wait to break out the shorts all day everyday. Pants are so constricting," Lily rambled. It was so nice that they were already planning another date, because that meant they would see each other again SOON. And Lily really couldn't live with Kabes or Otis. They were too important to her, basically her first and best friends at Beauxbatons. "Aw guys, I've missed this. You both are amazing," Lily stated happily looking at her friends. Now all she needed was her drink and food. She was hungry.
