1. Your thread title should be CHARACTER'S LAST NAME, character's first and middle name.
2. Only that character can post in their development thread.
3. Feel free to post whatever you want about your character (ie. background, family tree or history, photos, etc) and you can store graphics or awards won on the site there as well.
4. There is no post count here, so only OOC posts for your character (there can be IC posts but you will not receive a post towards your moving towards the next year)
5. To ensure that rules have been read, please post the words 'tiki torches' at the top of your post. If that password isn't placed at the beginning of your thread, then your thread will be deleted.

Q: What IS Character Development?
A: For those who aren't sure, Beauxbatons Character Development is a place for people to elaborate more on the history of your character and maybe even keep track of family (if you have a large one) and focus on what makes your character click. It's a place where graphics, awards, general information, etc. can be stored without cluttering up aspects like The Carriages and losing information in inactive Character Personals.
Q: Why do I need one?
A: You don't actually need one, these are optional. Although, it is recommended to create one only after you have been ACCEPTED so people can find out more about your character without having to scroll and see your application in the Sorting threads.
Q: What should I put in it?
A: Anything you want! In your first post, probably post the following:
But none of this is required. There is the option to make as many posts as you want - NONE of them are IC, therefore you will not be receiving post counts towards your going up a year.
Q: Why not just put everything in the Carriages or Character Personals?
A: Because both have the chance of being moved to the archives, making it harder to find information, and this way everything stays clean without people posting in them for plots or relationships. It's all posted by that character, for that character with no other reasons.
