Asahria Lee Ryek was born In Marseilles, France to Adelaide and Nicholas Ryek. She was born the youngest of two children, two years after her brother Garrett was born in the states. Alongside her bother Asahria grew up in France, often under the care of an au pair as their parents weren't home often. Unlike her brother growing up, Asahria found the lifestyle a difficult one to follow and always seemed to be under a precautionary eye. Garret had so easily fell into the role that their mother expected of them, but Asahria always had a hard time measuring up. The only commonality she'd found that she shared with either of her parents was their love for reading and she'd often disappeared to the library when she felt overwhelmed in their more than lavish lifestyle. Garret was her only friends growing up, but she often found herself at odds with him. He was always teasing her for her inability to fit in, which Asahria took more harshly than she ought to have. She felt a failure most the time growing up. She tried her best to make those around her happy, but at home it'd never been enough.
Asahria grew even further isolated from her family when she'd recieved her letter of invitation to Beauxbatons. Having grown up in a strictly muggle family it had come as quite as a schock to all the Ryek's, including Asahria. Her mother had strongly insisted against her attendance, favoring instead that she attend boarding school and make a life for herself modeled much after her own. Asahria though knew that a lifestyle like her mother's was the last thing that she wanted, so insteaded pushed for attending Beauxbatons. It took long convincing on the part of her father, but he finally allowed it. Her decision in attending Beauxbatons only furthered the rift between her mother and herself and Asahria found herself basically cut off. Due to the rift in their relations she's not been home to see her parents since her schooling started. Instead she's been spending vactions with friends where she could. Her last visit home, took her away from the school for some time. As she went back to care for her mother, who in sickness still couldn't accept her. She remained at home the term after her mothers passing and has only now made the decision to return to BB.
Due to her upraising Asahria is a master of keeping her emotions to herself, playing off her emotions. Asahria would much rather hide her feelings than share them, which ultimately leads her to over think things, replaying situations time and time again within her head. She finds herself living in the past most often, either replaying the happy memories she had or trying to figure out what she could have done better. She lives vicariously through her memories. When taken by more stress than she can handle she often backs into solitude and closes off to those around her. Asahria though, is the sweet genuine type, who cares for all. Always willing to lend an ear or offer advice even when she can’t seem to commit to helping herself. She is adoring and fast to friend, but hard to forget. She doesn't forgive easily, but she tries hard to make the best of every relationship which comes her way. She is the type to hurt herself, before she’d put another in any sort of hurtful situation.

“ADELAIDE CERISE RYEK” “NICHOLAS DEAN RYEK”
Adelaide Cerise Ryek and Nicholas Dean Ryek are Asahria's parents and are both of muggle birthright. Adelaide, now deceased, is a native of France who was born in the city of Marseilles. Nicholas on the other hand who is of German and English decent was born in Buffalo, New York. The pair, came from equally wealthy lifestyles. Though Adelaide never worked a day in her life, she was thrown into the lifestyle like her mother before her. Nicholas Ryek, though was a prestigious author and professor of literature in America before he became acquainted with the Barthe's when visiting Marseilles. Quite naturally the two fell in love and Nicholas gave up his life in the states to make a life with Adelaide in France.. He continues his writing and has taken up instruction in France as well, while Adelaide managed all the fancy social gatherings for their family. Because of Nicholas's connection to the states they also have a home in New York, New York where they'd often spend their holidays. Both of Asahria's parents were distant, always traveling and rarely home. In her fourth year her mother was struck ill and then passed later that year. Since then, Nicholas has given up his instruction and works solely from home.
“GARRET EVAN RYEK”
Garret Evan Ryek is Asahria's older brother by two years. He unlike Asahria was born in the states, due to the fact her parents spent a considerable amount of time in their first few years of marriage as Nicholas moved his job from the states to Marseilles. Being the older he was always the more favored of the Ryek household, which may have been due to the fact that he paid more heed to his parents will. Garret was the perfect son in terms of playing the part. Like both his parents he lacks all magical ability, leaving Asahria to be the only one with magical ability in the family. While he can detest his sister at times, and her in return, they were there only companions growing up. He harbored a stronger love for his parents even though they were not around as often. As they grew and Asahria started attending BB he was off attending university, following in his fathers footstepsl. He was not around during his mother's death to school, but him and Nicholas are still close. He was the perfect child in view of their parents.
