A large bulky creature stalked through the forest, head held low with it's long snout pointed towards the ground. Several long tails wafted around behind him, casually matching the way it walked. Saliva trickled slowly down it's long canine fangs and pooled along the floor as it walked, large red eyes focused on the path ahead. And then it stopped, raising it's head to look up at the building ahead of it, and the moon rising up behind. It was such a nice night, beautiful even, of course this certain fox didn't appreciate such things. A long tongue slipped out of the creature's gaping toothed mouth as it lashed against a couple of it's front teeth. It was quite anticipating tonight, it would feel that something - something interesting was going to happen. But how and when was anyone's guess.
Without another second's thought the fox took off, bounding quickly towards the building, to one of the towers to be exact. The powerful muscles in it's hind legs propelling it forwards as it dashed across the school grounds from the forest, and then quickly made it's way up the side of the tower it had it's eye on. It reached the window, in which case it jumped up high in the air - almost as if it was flying - and then slowly and lightly landed on the edge of the window - which was open in order to let the birds in and out, as he realized it was the Owlery when he landed. However, as soon as it touched the surface it was no longer an animal, but instead a tall Asian boy with various shades of autumn hair.
The boy - Drystan - extended a leg and dropped gracefully down to the floor. Lifting his head, he cast a quick glance around with his orange and green eyes before smirking, a faint shadow of the fox he was just moments before. "Might as well hang around here a bit, the birds here are making me a bit peckish too..." he chuckled lightly at his crudely made joke. Slowly, he started walking around the tower clockwise, his eyes constantly fixated on the owls fluttering above his head. Obviously, now that he was present - a predator amongst the flock - there was quite a bit of turmoil. His eyes narrowed as he mentally selected one, one that was quite small and slow, old as well, and with quick reflexes he snatched it out of the air. Smirking quite contently to himself and holding the squaking and constantly moving bird, he lowered one of his hands to it's neck - his painted black nails having grown to the size of claws - and slashed it. Blood started pooling where he cut, making him all the more amused. "Itadakimasu~" he hissed to himself as he was preparing to take a chomp of it, his teeth having sharped a little, but stopped. He felt something, a kind of energy, something familiar. And then he lost his appetite. Drystan sighed as he dropped the bird, slouching against one of the hollow grey walls, resigning himself to what was soon to befall him. WORDS: 527 TAGGED: Willow! OUTFIT: HERE! She told me not to step on the cracks I told her not to fuss and relax Well, her pretty little face stopped me in my tracks But now she sleeps with one eye open That's the price she paid Willow was simply exploring the palace, that's all she was doing. Why, should Drystan appear in one of these places, it'd just be a coincidence. She had a feeling he would be in the forest anyway, fox that he was. Foxes. She liked foxes, they were cunning creatures - much like Drystan himself. She hadn't cared for foxes until he... well, since she dragged him in her life kicking and screaming and kept him there for a while. A long while. A long, wonderful while. He may say it was against his will, but that's all just nonsense. It wasnt like she did things to him that he didnt enjoy. She might even go as far as saying she introduced him to a few things that he might add to his list of pleasures. If that were the case, Willow was sure that she would be the last to know. If anyone would. He had been running from her for all these years, after all.
She tossed her long dark hair over her shoulder as she climbed up the stairs to the owlery. Her long legs climbed two at a time, making it up to the top in just moments. She caught a scent of the fox just as he made the final bound to the top, ignorant to her presence just yet, and she smirked. She watched him as he landed in the window. Willow was one, maybe two floors - for the lack of a better word - down from him, but she watched through a window as he slid in easily and heard him land on two silent feet rather than four. Hm. Her whole presence became cheerful as she went to meet him, her head held high as she made her own presence known without a clearing of her throat or a sound from her lips. She seen it too, his simple resignation. It amused her so.
"Lose your appetite already?" she asked in a sort of drawl, gliding over to him in her own graceful sort of way, not even giving the owl he had just dropped any notice. "Usually you're appetite is quite hard to sate." She added somewhat mildly, tracing a finger down his chest where his jacket was left open. She smirked again and her vibrant green eyes, which were usually more olive, shot up to meet his. She shrugged a shoulder like she was slightly confused, and dropped her hand, not pushing it too far. Not just yet, at least. After a moment she asked, "Where's that cute little pet of yours?" She feigned a glance around the room, obviously just filled with owls and other birds, and raised her eyebrows at Drystan. "Don't you usually keep them on a short leash?" She asked, recalling the Valentine's Day party in the room of requirement, the slight clinginess he had, holding her close to him as if she were not allowed to do anything else. The way he treated her was familiar. Very familiar indeed. She smiled.

Seconds before he saw her, he felt the energy become something attune to a vibrant buzzing, much like a bright firefly on a summers day. It was a pleasant feeling, much so that he almost forgot about what he was waiting for, and it was only the sound of her voice lightly summoning him that snapped him back to his senses. Drystan quickly turned to look at the door, his eyes alert and wary as he watched as a tall beautiful female made her way into the room. No, that sounded more clumsy than the way she was moving. It was a very ghost-like fashion which she was walking at, something that made Drystan retreat slightly even as she made her way towards him, not stopping until she was directly in front of him. At this proximity he really had an urge to half turn into his fox form, snarl at her in warning and bare his teeth, but in truth, that would have no effect whatsoever on her. She had dealt with him in various forms and situations before, and nothing really seemed to faze her. The only course of action was to act civil at this point. or at least semi-civil.
"Why Willow," he started, slowly giving her a smirk to mirror her own, his orange coloured eyes narrowing at her as he did so, "you make me sound like a monster who's only job is to eat all day." He turned his eyes down to look at the bird he had abandoned in haste, before glancing back down at Willow again. It was quite frustrating to him. Why was it that she was intimidating on most occasions and yet he just somehow towered over her. Well, supposedly height wasn't always proof of power. Hell, he was abnormally strong for someone so scrawny, appearances were too deceiving, and this was no exception. He paid no attention as she dropped her hand from where it was touching her chest, preferring not to show that he was dropping his guard in any way. Oh yes, he was quite sure that she had a motive for being here - he usually had one no matter where he went. So why was she here? For his sake? He didn't doubt it. But that question could wait for later, now the topic had shifted slightly, and into more dangerous waters too.
His pet? Oh, she meant Nettie, well of course she did. He didn't actually own any pets and the way her tone was so mocking.. it infuriated him to no end. He couldn't let her see that she got to him though, so his expession simply became more of a leer, his tone of voice dripping with malice. My so called pet is nowhere that you no of. Wait, no, not pet, girlfriend." That meer word was strange to him. Since when did he even start to ask people out on dates or anything? Mind you, he wasn't especially gentle when it came to asking Nettie out either. She could have even broken had he pushed her hard enough. Those small thoughts almost brought joy to one who never felt such emotion under normal circumstances, but he pushed it down. No, this was no time for happiness, he was quite sure he'd be smited if he felt anything other than despair in her presence anyway. Drystan glared at Willow, unsure as to how she'd react to his tone or even his words, however little he spoke. "And you, my dear wife?" He practically spat out the last word through the rest was clearly a sneer. "What are you doing here? Come to punish this unfaithful mutt for abandoning a fair maiden such as yourself?" As he spoke he gave her a bow, as if in mock submission to her. Of course he was taking his chances with this, he wasn't going to go down without a fight or at least a few witty remarks. Not him, he who had slaughtered and violated countless other people. Indeed, she was the one who kept him on a short leash for as long as he could count, and yet here she was claiming he was doing the same to others. His facade didn't slip as he inwardly growled. Wait, who was he to care what she thought of him and what he did to others? He was proud of his deeds, even if Willow somehow had twisted his mind further to make him commit such atrocities. He didn't care about anything, and the way he was acting now just proved it. It was now her turn in his little game and he was quite curious as to what move she'd make next. Something big and interesting he hoped, no, he was counting on it.[/blockquote] WORDS: 796 TAGGED: Willow! OUTFIT: HERE!
