History His parents were very much in love. They had a fairytale romance like no other and ever since they told him of their story, he wanted a love just as powerful as theirs. His mother, Amanda, and his father, Jason, met while they were both vacationing in Paris and they ran into each other many times throughout the trip. There was an instant attraction in both of them and it took some time, but Jason convinced Amanda to go out on a date in Paris with a stranger. She reluctantly agreed, knowing that she would remember the night forever. They kept in touch for a few weeks after their wonderful evening, but eventually they lost touch. It felt like a lifetime, and they had met other people and when they met each other again in Rome, the sparkles were rekindled for different reasons and they found themselves spending every free moment of their trip together. That was when they knew they just had to be together. Josuha's favourite part was when his mother was at a carnival with a friend of hers in Rome, and his father had approached her while she was on the ferris wheel, yelling that he didn't want to say goodbye to her again and that he needed to be with her. They had only met twice before, but they had managed to keep themselves awake for days at a time, just talking. The two left their current partners, and fled to London to be together.

Their marriage was small since many people were shocked at the way they ran off together, and some would say that they simply eloped. But they knew that their love was a long time coming. It just took them a few years to find it again. Regardless, every day since the day they met, they have felt more than love for one another. Joshua was a result of their love, as was his little sister Beth. Joshua's years as a child were experiencing the joy of a blissful household which woke up to the smell of freshly baked cookies and muffins, the love of his mother and father as she would kiss him goodbye as he left for work, leaving only after the nanny had come to take care of Joshua and Beth. He spent his afternoons with his sister, having general rivalries and spending time laughing. Joshua and Beth grew very close and always have been. When Joshua first went to Hogwarts, he missed sensing his parents' love every day, but decided he was to search for it himself. He made friends with boys in his house, and soon a sense of a brotherhood formed and he couldn't have been happier. Josh nearly forgot about the idea of love until he was fifteen years old and he met his first girlfriend. Their relationship lasted no more than two months... but he felt that it wasn't what he wanted. Even as a young boy, he knew what he was looking for and he never settled for anything less.

You could say he rushed his life. His teenage years were mostly spent goofing off with his friends, especially his best friend Joseph Barrington, and poking fun at the girls in their year. He was especially captivated by a younger girl who had a posse of friends and soon the two were dating. It didn't take long for them to really consider themselves a couple in love and she really changed his life. He met new people and realized that he was happy and content in this relationship. He grew as a person, realizing what he liked doing for love and what he didn't like doing. However, when she told him that she loved him... he realized that he didn't. It was a let down all over again. Once he graduated, leaving behind a trail of broken hearts as long as the Great Wall of China (exaggeration), he set off to explore the world and do whatever he could to find that special girl. His parents fully supported him since they were nothing less than perfect for one another. Their love story had their happy ending, and now it was time for Joshua's. They couldn't be more thrilled. Joshua traveled to every end of the earth to grow for himself. He thought he found love when he was in Indonesia, but realized that it was only a powerful lust that kept him with her and when she was gone he felt nothing but sexual loss.

Now that he had returned to France to try and find something a little different from that of his parents'... or perhaps the same, he met a woman who kept him on his toes. Tzarina Barr kept him captivated in every sense; she was smart, brilliant and beautiful. He was head over heels in love. The two were falling for each other fast and he couldn't be more excited to be with her every chance he got. But then she left him. She left everyone. He had no way to contact her, to meet up with her again or to see her. He was heart broken and he couldn't believe the feeling. She was his first real love, the life changing kind that could never really flitter away. Now he's grown since her departure and he's begun anew. He bought the Couru en Liberté and now he's attempting to do more for himself and meet people who he may just want to befriend. Now that he's become more himself, more comfortable in who he is, he may have found her again. The woman who may steal his heart anew. Astrid and Josh went to Hogwarts together and now he's prepared to drop everything for her. Maybe he already met the woman of his dreams and he didn't know it then, but he knows it now? Of course, their trip to South America would reveal quite a lot to his lovestruck eyes.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,440,true] JOSEPH BARRINGTON - josh has known joseph since their first year at hogwarts. the two were both sorted into gryffindor house and as most gryffindor first year boys became instant friends. the two have remained close ever since, only losing contact during the few years that joshua had dropped off the face of the earth and traveled to every corner he could find. from hogwarts, joseph and joshua have been confidants, close friends and have always been there for one another. it's hard to believe having josh around without joseph. joseph is the support he needs to bring himself down to earth again and josh needs him more than ever now that his head is constantly up in the clouds. joseph is his rock, and josh would be lost without him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,440,true] TZARINA MAE BARR - his first real love, and his first real heartbreak is all summed up in this woman. she captured his heart when he first arrived in france and immediately he was smitten with her, trying to discover everything he could about her. the two were falling in love and he couldn't help but miss her when she wasn't around. they used to spend so much time together that he couldn't believe that a woman so incredible would be interested in someone like him. of course, it was only a matter of time before the glass shattered and he was left with the pieces he once thought was his perfect, life-altering romance. it did change his life, but not in the way he would expect. the one thing he overlooked was how to have true love, one had to have heartbreak. she was gone as though overnight, and there was no way for him to reach her. he didn't know what to do with himself for days, his heartbreak overwhelming his every sense insomuch that he would find himself sitting at the bar the couru just drinking his nights away. he nearly went out of business because of his lack of care. the place nearly became a wreck until he came around and fixed it up a little more. but because of tzarina, he fell in such a powerful love that seemed to be a spell. he could never truly forget her, but he could never love her in the same way again.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,440,true] ASTRID LLEWELLYN - to josh, astrid used to be that girl who was just there whenever he hung out with his girlfriend at hogwarts. she was there and he talked to her. in fact, he really did like her company. she was cute then, and joshua hadn't really thought about her all that much except in relation to his girlfriend at the time. when he dumped her, he sort of saw astrid at hogwarts, but never as much. he missed her at first, but then he moved on when he graduated and went on to bigger and better things. after coming down to his reality from his explosive journey across the globe, he met her again one afternoon and he spent the whole evening talking with her. it was no surprise that he felt something a little different, she had changed and she had certainly aged with more grace and beauty than he thought. talking to her, bringing up old memories, he regretted not talking to astrid sooner, in a way that was a little more than friendly. astrid was smart and kind back then, and now one could add the beauty to rival a veela. astrid, like him, had adventured around the world, but for more educational purposes. after spending a week with her in south america, he could say that he never wanted to be apart from her for long periods of time. she's a precious gem to him and he couldn't stand losing her to anything or anyone else.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,440,true] BETH SPENCER - the only girl he has always loved forever, his little sister is the apple of his eye. he adores the girl with every once of his being, and will be with her through everything if he can. he wants to show her the world, and he wants to treat her to things she wouldn't normally have. he spoils her with affection, often sending her presents and tokens of his love. they write to one another daily and he couldn't imagine being without her even for a minute. he's very protective of her, wanting to make sure her love is given carefully to others even when she wishes to give it freely. josh doesn't want his little sister to be used or taken from granted by someone. he see's her as this beautiful, musical soul who needs to be given freedom to make choices with that firm hand still behind her to keep guard on her. even though they bicker and she doesn't want him around sometimes, their relationship will always be one of love and affection, constant teasing and of course a future together as a family.
