Nickname: Joonii, Chibi Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Unknown Born: 4th June 1995 Age: Forever seventeen Zodiac: Gemini Heritage: Half-Korean, Half-Japanese Blood: Vampire (half-muggle, half-wizard) House: Cossu Height: 175cm
Some find him quite annoying and he’s often referenced as ‘spoiled brat’ and perhaps that’s what he is most of the time, but he does have different kind of side to him as well. Once you get to know him well you’ll know that he doesn’t mean everything that comes out of his mouth. He might annoy you from time to time, but when he notices that something is wrong he will be concerned and worry for you. …But most of the time he’ll bug you and be all happy-go-lucky.
His father owns a huge company that owns many restaurants and hotels as well as a few amusement parks. Hyo Joon is the heir of the company, although he doesn’t want to take over it. His biggest dream is to become a singer and a Broadway star and although he keeps saying he’ll be a big celebrity one day and says that he won’t take over the company he knows very well that he will do as his parents’ wishes. He would never let them down. He just likes to pretend to himself that his dream will come true one day (but there’s no way that’s going to happen). His grandmother/halmuni (father’s side) is strongly against of Hyo Joon taking over the company, because her husband (his grandfather) died after all the stress the company brought to him. She didn’t want her own son to take over it either. No one is as important to Hyo Joon as his grandmother is, so he keeps telling her that he won’t take over the company, but he knows that he will and she knows it too. She also just pretends that Hyo Joon will have a normal good life or the kind of life he wants, finding it easier to dream and pretend rather than to face the reality. Hyo Joon doesn’t like his mother’s parents at all though. They are quite the snobs and care more about money than anyone else.
Joonii can be quite stubborn too. It is hard to convince him otherwise once he has decided something. Perhaps it runs in the family, because his grandmother/halmuni is the same as well. If he wants something he’ll get it too. He’s also quite protective over his friends, so if someone hurts them he’ll definitely try kicking that person’s butt, although he might not stand a chance.
His favorite hobbies are singing and dancing. His voice is often described as “angelic” and that’s what it really is. His mother also used to be a singer before she married his father. His father does care a lot about him, but he’s still always been somewhat against of Hyo Joon singing, because he wishes him to learn more about business. His mother is more carefree though and has always urged him to sing, act and dance, although she also wishes Hyo Joon to take over the company.
Although he can be quite playful and seems very carefree he can actually take things seriously as well. You see him playing around and acting goofy, but in reality he does study hard and when a tough situation comes he can handle it like an adult. He worries about taking care of a big company and at times doesn’t trust in himself, but those close to him knows that he can take care of it without any hesitations and with style.
He does love singing, acting and dancing, but eating is also one of his favorite things to do… and sleeping as well. There are not many things that he doesn’t enjoy eating. When he was a kid he wanted to become a chef, so that he could eat all the food in his restaurant, but too bad he found out that cooking isn’t that easy, so he decided to leave it to their chefs and maids. If you’re his roommate you might want to be careful, because he sleepwalks and talks. His imagination really doesn’t have any limits which why his dreams are often extremely weird and vivid as well… thus why he sleepwalks and may come to wake you up in the middle of the night, asking weird questions. His close friends have gotten used to this already and know that it’s for the best to just do as he says/answer him, so that he falls properly back to sleep. For example if he comes to wake you up and tells you that there’s a giant spider somewhere it’s for your best interest to just tell him that “it went away already”, because otherwise he’s going to just keep saying it. If you tell him that “it’s ok” he’s going to be a good little boy and go back in his own bed. It’s also not easy at all to wake him up in the morning.
You might want to think twice whether to give Hyo any alcohol. Or actually he thinks it twice himself if he drinks any. He's got low tolerance on alcohol and passes out quite fast after a few drinks. Luckily he can have lots of fun without alcohol as well, because of his adhd... And of course none of his friends can bug him about it anymore, because he's in Beauxbatons and alcoholic beverages aren't allowed (insert Hyo Joon sighing from relief here).
After not very successful Halloween party Hyo Joon kind of… died. Well, the rest made a very hard decision and Nyu Ri ended up giving Hyo Joon her blood in order to make him a vampire. That succeeded. Now he’s a vampire. YAY! Well, not so much yay. He really can’t control himself and it’s extremely hard for him right now. He keeps avoiding people, though little by little getting used to being around them. He's not entirely sure whether he's lucky or very unlucky that Drystan is now helping him out with his 'little problem', but most likely he would be dead if the kitsune wouldn't be helping him out or worse killed a lot of innocent people, so he tries to be thankful. |

just a little bit about his parents and the history of their family business. his grandfather (father’s father) started his first NAM-NAM shopping centre in 1947. he was married already back then, but didn’t have any children just yet. his wife stayed at home though as he was very old fashioned and was totally against the idea of her starting to work, even if they had some tough time with money. actually, grandfather hyo bae’s parents were quite rich, but they refused to give any money to their son, because they wanted him to survive on his own. and he did. the mall did actually very well which why he started a few others, hiring lots of people to work for him. every single of them became popular fast and ten years later he also started his first hotel, perhaps because he was a bit greedy. grandmother su min stayed at home with their children, though she was kind of against about making the business bigger and bigger all the time. it worried her. she has always been the type to believe that when something good happens, bad things follow. and it did too. after a few more malls and a bunch of hotels, hyo bae fell sick all of sudden which why his son du ho started to look after their business. now they already had mansions and who knows what else which made su min feel extremely uncomfortable.
a year later hyo bae died, du ho now deciding to totally take over their family business only at the age of twenty-two. he had followed his father his whole age though, so he was extremely good at what he did. du ho started building hotels and malls to japan as well, wanting to expand the business even more while his siblings concentrated on other stuff and su min, his mother, bought her own house from seoul and moved in there. she told du ho that she didn’t want to have anything to do with the business and that all the stress took her husband away from her. the success had its price. du ho met his future wife in japan; she was an actress, not all that popular yet, but she had lots of potential. the two fell in love, got married and… hyo joon nam was born.
“lucky june 4th?” that’s what nam du ho and iwasaki kyoko said after it had been already a week that their baby was supposed to be born. they were getting afraid that something was terribly wrong with the baby, even though the doctor was just laughing it off and saying that “the little guy just wants to stay in the tummy a bit longer!”. the doctor seemed like a total weirdo anyway which why they were getting even more worried; it would be their first child after all. it seemed though that june 4th indeed was the lucky day, because the baby finally gave up and decided that it was finally the day that he would be born into the world. hyo joon nam. healthy as ever. it seemed that they had been wrong about the doctor after all.
du ho and kyoko were happy to notice that hyo joon seemed to learn stuff fast. they believed that he would be a child genius and best in his class when he would go to school. too bad things started to change when he turned five as he started to get more and more easily distracted by other stuff and completely ignored what his teachers told him. when he finally turned eight he was diagnosed with adhd. hyo was quite a troublesome kid, because he didn’t want to sleep and wanted to do something all the time. because he wanted to do something, his parents let him; they totally spoiled him. now that they totally devoted to their child they forgot about themselves and their relationship and they started to fight quite a lot. when hyo joon was only eleven they got their first divorce. yes, first. they had been living in south korea, but after the divorce hyo joon went to japan with his mother, though every now and then he went back to his father in south korea. two years later his parents got back together, now deciding to stay in south korea again. hyo joon was extremely happy that his parents got back together, because being with only one of his parents had really been uncomfortable and strange. he always missed the other parent that wasn’t there. so OH HAPPY DAY! his parents even had a new quick wedding and seemed to be happier than ever before. hyo also tried his best to keep his grades good, though mathematics was giving him a big headache; he just didn’t get numbers at all. luckily he had other things to concentrate on which was dancing and music which balanced his grades, because he really was good in these two. he was determined to do his best in both of these. around the same time he also started to hang out more with his friends jae syun and dae hyun which why his parents got bit more time for themselves. still they only seemed to care of hyo joon, kept spoiling him and again forgot to have romantic dinners and go watch movies, etc. to enjoy each other’s company. therefore their happy life lasted only for a couple of years and his parents got divorce for a second time.
for a year hyo joon stayed in korea with his father, but then moved to japan when he was sixteen years old. little by little his parents started to get along again as well plus hyo was doing pretty good in school too. he pretty much only concentrated on school stuff, because he felt it was the best distraction to get his mind off from his parents’ divorce. of course he still didn’t forget dancing and singing lessons that he took. a year later his parents got back yet again, had a quick wedding (or rather just a blessing from the priest) and decided to stay in japan this time. hyo joon went to dancing and singing competitions, slowly starting to relax with school stuff again, making his grades lower a bit. his parents came with him to all the competitions, but they were also very stressed about how his school was going, because they didn’t want their son to drop out from high school, even though he was very talented in what he loved the most. therefore they decided to finally tell him that… he wasn’t a normal child. he was half-wizard. no way was he believing it at first until his mother showed him that she was a witch. he was expecting his father to show off his skills too, but that is when he learned the word ‘muggle’ as well and boy was he confused. but there was no time for that! du ho and kyoko made a decision to send him to beauxbatons academy in hopes he wouldn’t have time for any singing and dancing anymore, but that he would only be concentrating in learning magic and hopefully find it too difficult and decide that he would want to just go to a normal school and start getting good grades again. oh, and why beauxbatons? it’s because hyo joon has never really liked france, especially the language. what better place for a small “punishment” then?
NAM-NAM is now incredibly well known around the world which makes the nams' one of the most richest families in korea and japan.
this is just a quick history. so many other things happened too and i’ll probably add them later. |

Ambitious. Bossy. Kind and friendly. He wants only the best for his son which means that Hyo Joon should be getting the best grades and also be able to take over the family company one day; after all it brings great wealth for the family. You need money to bring the food to the table. No doubt he also wants that the company stays in the family as well and refuses to hand it to anyone else, but to his son. To him Hyo Joon's dreams sound childish, but not silly. He understands them, but thinks that it's more important to concentrate to the future and what is the best and safest choice. In his opinion that would be Hyo Joon taking over the company. Du Ho really cares about Hyo and would give him everything if he just could, but he also knows he needs to be strict. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] kyoko iwasaki Kyoko is quite the firecracker to be honest and is always on the go. She enjoys having a social life and rather goes out than stays at home. She used to be an actress before meeting Du Ho and was great at what she did. Everyone promised she would have a great career. She fell in love with Du Ho though who was quite the jealous type and wanted her to quit acting. So she did. But she did decide to work for the company too, because she has always loved having a career and prefers to be independent. She's also quite carefree and has always been a bit of a rebel, not really listening to her parents. Yes, Hyo Joon got those traits from her. She has always loved spoiling Hyo Joon and preferred to be the "cool parent". She's got a good heart and she cares both for her son and her husband. She's usually the one trying to cheer Hyo Joon up if he's feeling down and be goofy around him and his friends. Kyoko loves fashion and often goes shopping either alone or with friends. She might seem immature and careless like Hyo Joon, but also like her son she can be serious and smart when in need. She really isn't stupid. She's full of wit and quite cunning, still looking radiant and young, often mistaken as Hyo Joon's older sister. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] hyo bae nam
-deceased- Hyo Bae died before Hyo Joon was born, so the two never got to know each other, but Su Min always tells stories about him to their grandchild. Hyo Bae was stubborn, somewhat arrogant, and a bit of a bad boy which why Su Min couldn't stand him at first, but later she found out that he actually cared for those close to him, not to mention had the cutest laugh on the whole earth. With simple flowers and chocolates he charmed her and in a short amount of time they were completely in love. They planned for a simple life and a big family, but although they were blessed with quite a few children their life was far from simple after he found working to be his passion after all. He had little time for family, but he still was a good father and.. well, an ok spouse. Very loving, but of course Su Min wished to spend more time with him. She stayed at home while he was just always at work, expanding his business, wanting more and more. The company grew huge, but it all had its price and once he fell ill there was no turning back. Too much work and too much stress took him away to a better place, leaving a huge hole in Su Min's heart. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] su min lee
She's definitely the most important person to Hyo Joon. She was always there to take care of him when his parents were fighting or decided to take a divorce. She would be the one to explain him things and say "Life will go on" and "Once you find love yourself you'll understand". And she had been right. Love wasn't easy. While his parents were around Su Min always pretend to be extremely strict, but when it was just the two she would spoil him rotten, just like rest of her grandchildren. A few times Hyo Joon ran away from home and if he didn't go to stay to one of his friends he would go to his grandmother's place, who wouldn't let his parents know that he was there, but said "Let them sweat a little. They've done you worse." Su Min loves telling Hyo Joon stories about his grandfather, but she would also tell him a lot of Korean folklore and other tales. She had always been a bit superstitious. Even still she looks after him and he looks after her. Nothing would hurt him more, but if something happened to her. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] goro iwasaki
Goro has been a great and famous actor all his life. During a work project he met Eri and he fell in love with her beauty. After chasing her awhile he finally was able to get her and they got married. Before deciding to start a family though they both wanted to concentrate on their careers. Only later would come a child, one child, no more. Neither were much about family, but rather found work more important. He has always been the weaker one and would do anything Eri told him to do and would always agree with her. He does care a lot about Kyoko as well as Hyo Joon though, but only shows it when Eri isn't around. He might be a bit goofy and fun even when it's just him and Hyo Joon and no one else around to see. Otherwise he's very serious and strict. This confused Hyo Joon a lot as a kid, but now he of course understands it and often says his grandfather is all pretense. Needless to say he doesn't like his grandfather(Goro) much, but at least slightly more than his grandmother (Eri). | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] eri ishida
Because Eri despises Du Ho (although she's glad of the fact that he's rich) he still loves her only grandchild, Hyo Joon. She's strict, cunning, often plotting how to get what she wants, because what she wants she must get. Needless to say she's quite full of herself. Eri isn't stupid at all though and perhaps therefore she still got a strong hold of everyone and everything wrapped around her finger. Hyo Joon doesn't like her the slightest and she knows this. That's why the more she tries to control him and his future. Without a doubt she wants him to take over the company, because she believes that that way she might be able to take part of some things as well. She can be really really really mean when she wants to. They could definitely make her star an evil witch in Disney movie... in a movie where the evil would win and there would be no happy ending. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] hae ra nam
cousin Hae Ra and Hyo Joon are cousins. They actually look a lot alike. She's Hyo's father's brother's child. She's a lot like Hyo Joon to be honest and likes to goof around, but she's not as snobbish. Not always. Eh, well, she can be. She two either get along very well or doesn't get along at all. They're often mistaken as twins. Yeah, she's pretty much the female Hyo Joon. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] yuki ishida
second cousin Yuki's father is younger brother of Eri, Hyo Joon's grandmother. Eri and Yutaka got an age cap of over 10 years and they've never really gotten along. Eri is much more stuck up and always been after wealth while Yutaka has always just been in search of simple happy life. Yuki and Hyo Joon haven't met all that much in the past, beacuse Yutaka has had nothing to do with Eri's side of the family, so therefore they didn't even recognize each other in Beauxbatons at first. Only later they realized this, but because both had only heard bad things about the other one's family they almost didn't get along first or didn't want to even know each other. It was Yuki though who decided to be the mature one and wanted to give Hyo Joon a chance to prove his father wrong and after talking the two actually started getting along. Sure Yuki doesn't appreciate Hyo Joon being so arrogant most of the times, but he's family after all so he cares for him. And Yuki's seen that Hyo Joon isn't all rotten inside. Hyo Joon does like Yuki, but most of the time finds him be too kind and naive. Too forgiving. But the two do get along. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] hee jo nam
Hee Jo aka Joey is one of his childhood friends as well as ex. The two met frequently ever since infants during parties that only wealthy people were able to attend. Not only did they share the same last name ( a weird coincidence), but also had the same initials, HJN. During the many parties they met at as kids they used to play and goof around and tried to spoil the party and tease the other guests, but they did get into a lot of fights as well seeing as both of them were extremely stubborn and bossy. For over six years they didn't see each other, because of Hyo Joon's family circumstances as well as Joey travelling a lot, but they finally met again in Junior High and started to hang out a lot. The two thought of each other as best friends too, always playing games such as Mario Kart (usually she won), but neither knew that they both had some feelings for each other, There was no way he could ever imagine someone as great as her, always surrounded by guys, would ever like him. After a huge fight (and before that a lot of bickering and complaining to each other) they found out though and decided to go out. It was perfect. They both cared for each other deeply, although they did fight incredibly often, making Hyo Joon think that the two were like his parents. Although they fought they would still look at each other lovingly, just pretending to hate each other. The fights were never serious anyway. Both Hee Jo and Hyo Joon shared the same dream; becoming a Broadway star. Without him knowing she sent an application to New York's finest musical school, not saying anything to him, because she was 100% she wouldn't get in, but knew she would regret it if she didn't at least try. Finally she received a letter and she had gotten in. But how to tell Hyo Joon? It was the hardest part, but it took too long time for her to try to find a way to tell him, because he accidentally found the acceptance letter and was of course furious about her not telling him about it. He would have been happy for her if he had known about it, but keeping a secret that big was too much. She would go to study in New York, so they decided to break up. Before all of this happened he had decided he would ask her to get engaged with him. Sadly that did not happen after all. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] dae hyun moon

Alegra and Hyo Joon met already a few years ago in South Korea to where Alegra came for a short amount of time to see the educational system in Korea with a few other students from her school. It so happened that Hyo Joon along with her that time current girlfriend Hee Jo and Jae Syun were the ones to show the students around. The three got really well along with Alegra and that way became friends. They showed Seoul and it day&night life to her and with that they became close. Even after Alegra left South Korea they would keep somewhat in touch. After things ended between Joonii and Joey, Alegra would be there to cheer him up and somehow the two became closer and closer thus ending up dating. The two were great together, but sadly after Hyo Joon turned into a vampire things started the change; Hyo became really distant and he started avoiding her which really hurt her feelings.
