[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] But if I fall for you, I'll never recover Tag: Niklas ♥ Words: 567 Notes: Meh ;-; Once again this girl was unable to sleep. Alegra was strange, as she could go days without resting. She had no idea whether it was her fairy blood or if that is just how she is. It's not like she could just ask her mother, whom the fairy blood comes from. Never met the woman. She's out raising another family with kids she actually loves for all Alegra knows. Alegra was just the outcast. But at least she had her father, the wonderful brilliant man that has always been a bit disconnected from his one and only child. From everyone, as far as Alegra can tell. Maybe that could be why she feels lonely a lot of the time. That, and there is a lot of lonliness in the world. She could feel it along with them thanks to her clairvoyance. She hadn't felt this way in a while, and now Hyo Joon has gotten really distant. It's been months since they really spent any time together. Why is this? They've kissed before. They've shared feelings. Alegra could live with the fangs. She thought they connected better than this.
But then something aweful did happened to him. She watched it happen to him. Alegra watched him die. And she watched Nyu Ri bring him back to life as well. If that is what one would call turning Joonii into a vampire. It had affected her - not the vampire part, but the dying part. All of it. Watching what she can only guess to be a few hundred year old vampire get possessed along side him was scary, too. And they didn't care if a few students were killed. Alegra may have been spared by the demons present that night but it was horrifying for her too. And who did she have to confide in? Not Hyo. Maeve was gone. Drystan... Well, perhaps she'll end up talking to him. He is nice to her, after all. Most of the time. She's know him for years.
But right now, Alegra just needed a change of scenery. It was quite early in the morning, and the sun was on the verge of bursting through the horizon. The air was cool and crisp, the sky was clear, and the moon was bright and full. It was always darkest before dawn. Alegra was feeling oddly optimistic at that moment in time. Maybe it was her second wind. She just felt oddly good about this morning, though, and it wasn't just her energy level. It was like her spidey senses were tingling, but it's her clairvoyance. And it was a good thing. Everything will be okay, she thought to herself. Just enjoy the sunrise. Let everything go for a little while.
She sighed as she gazed up at the stars, and her eyes fell to a nearby bench. She's walked far enough, she thought. She has been walking in the Joli Park for over an hour. All this fresh air was wonderful. Perhaps it was time to just sit and enjoy the view. This looks like a good spot, she thought, turning around to where the sun would be rising.
And that was when she spotted him. "Oh," she said softly, her voice surprised, but not neccesarily frightened. Usually she could feel a presense before they got within several feet of her. |

How long had it been? Six months? He wasn’t quite sure, but it still felt like it had only happened yesterday. The day when Lucia had disappeared. At times he told himself that she had been blackmailed or forced to do so, but he knew deep in his heart that it had been a miracle that she had stayed even that long with him. Over thousand years they had been together, 800 years of it engaged. Not a day had passed by that he hadn’t thought about her and her reasons to leave so suddenly and the fact that in the end he could find her quite easily actually (maybe it would take a couple of hundred years, but that was a short time for a vampire), but somehow she had believed that he wouldn’t go looking for her. He didn’t have the energy. Besides he wasn’t one to beg someone to be with him no matter how much he cared for them. Sure, if she had told him face-to-face that they should part ways he probably would have questioned it and asked her not to go, but since she only left a note that said “goodbye”… what was there to expect? Obviously she wasn’t going to return to him. It made him feel bad about his actions and he kept wondering if he had done things differently would she have stayed with him or not. He had believed that he had been good to her, but obviously that had not been the case.
Niklas had left the palace during the day, but he had been wandering around for a long time, not realizing it himself at all. He had been here and there, wandering around the Rue de Paris for hours and now that the night had finally settled in he noticed that he had ended up in the Joli Park. What would be a better place to watch the sunrise? He used to watch the sun setting every evening with Lucia, so this was a perfect chance to watch it rise, alone, as if it meant the start of a new beginning. He sat on the grass although there was a bench nearby, but this just felt more comfortable. Besides he could just lie down and look up at the stars while waiting for the sun to rise. So many stars. So many beautiful stars. Although he had lived for so long the stars still seemed to amaze him and he found them… perfect.
That’s when he heard footsteps coming from a bit further away. He kept lying down on the grass, quietly, listening. Not saying a word. He wasn’t exactly alerted, because there weren’t many things in the world that could harm him and as long as he could hear the footsteps… yeah, then that person could do him no harm at all. That he was sure of. He smelt the blood of a fairy which caused him to arch his eyebrows and feel a bit surprised. What would someone even be outside this late at night? And so far from the palace on top of that. It wasn’t safe. For a moment he felt a bit annoyed, because he had wanted to be alone and pondered if he should just go snap the person’s neck and drink him or her for a breakfast while watching the sunrise, but instead he sat down and heard a surprised gentle voice say “oh” and decided he would have some fun first. “What in earth would a fairy be doing outside this time of night? It’s quite dangerous. There just might be a big bad vampire lurking around who’s thirsty of fairy blood.” It was true though; fairy blood tasted a lot better than normal human blood. It was kind of a drug for a vampire. Same effects as what muggles would get if they decided to get high.
That’s when he decided to turn around though and finally saw the young female student sitting on the bench, who had obviously been thinking about maybe resting her feet a bit and enjoying the view. “Ah, but fear not fair maiden. I’m not going to hurt anyone with such pretty features.” He was extremely pleased to see she was much more beautiful than your average lady which is why he surely wouldn’t be killing her. Not yet anyway. It depended whether he would get along with her or not. If he would find her annoying… hm, maybe. Maybe then he would make her his breakfast. “Please, join my company, would you? I’m awfully alone and that’s not much fun, is it.” He had kind of very old English accent of which he hadn’t been able to get rid of although he had tried. Nevertheless, most females usually found it quite lovely in the end so perhaps it was better that it had stayed with him during all the centuries.
