Rachele glided through the entrance to the library. Her dark eyes twinkled as she took in the familiar and comforting sight. The library had always been one of her favorite places. Books were something she often threw herself into if she needed to stop thinking about things for a while. That, and the library was a pretty comfortable place to study or just laze about. She noted that there were only a few students flitting about the rows or curled up in chairs. It was a beautiful day outside, so she supposed that most wanted to enjoy outdoor activities rather than in. Unfortunately, it was a little too bright for her to handle. Besides, she had some questions that she needed to look up.
The dark haired Sournois had some questions about vampires that she wanted to look up. Most of her inquiries had been answered by her friends, but there were some questions she wanted to keep to herself or that they had not known the answers to. Making sure not to make much noise, she drifted down the main walk until she came to the section she wanted. It was towards the back of the place and while some light did come in through the window nearby, it was a little darker. Of course, Rachele didn't really mind that. In fact, it reminded her a bit of her favorite place in her old house with her parents. Quickly, she shook her head to get those thoughts off her mind and turned her attention to the many books that lined the shelves.
A slender finger ran gently over the spines as she searched for any book that might be of help as well as any that just seemed interesting. Carefully, she climbed the ladder to search the upper shelves. Before long, she was sliding herself back and forth across the shelves enjoying the feel it gave her to do so. Her hand reached out and plucked a book from the shelf. It was an older one, but upon opening it she found quite an interesting read. She reached into her back pocket and used her want to send it to the bottom of the ladder to pick up when she was done looking for things and done gliding about the place. It was really a good thing that nobody was watching this or they might've wondered if something was wrong with her.
Soon she had a neat stack of four books. Two were related to her questions, and two were for fun. With a wistful sigh, she climbed down the ladder until she was at the bottom rung. Her eyes went to the walk leading back to the main area with all the chairs, but she decided that she'd rather stay in this comfortable little nook. She peeled off her leather jacket and placed it against one side of the ladder so that she'd have something to lean on and settled herself onto the rungs of the ladder. For most this would not have been comfortable, but with all the time she spend in the library, she had grown used to it. She'd been in the position many times before. Just as she began to read and understand things a little better, her attention was caught by the sound of another person. Without directly looking up, her eyes darted around to see if she might be in someone's way.
Note:: Hope this is alright. : )
