[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 320px; height: 330px;] give up who we are, I'M UP ALL NIGHT TO GET LUCKY |
Arden rolled over in her bed, embracing the warmth of her comforter as she did so. Her eyes were exhausted from the previous evening of glances and grins. She rolled onto her back and stared up at the ceiling, trying to remember the last time she felt so peaceful and relaxed. It was as though she had an excellent night's sleep where she dreamt of nothing and only let her body be carried away by invisible forces that managed to transport her elsewhere. She sighed and wished she had a window in her room so she could see outside. The few into the darkness of the lake was interesting, but it provided no idea of how the day would turn out. She envied the other houses for that now. Rolling her eyes, she pushed her comforter off and hugged her knees to her chest for a few minutes before forcing herself up. It was another day of the break and she had just woken up from a great night with someone she honestly couldn't get out of her head. She didn't necessarily want him there to begin with, since he was distracting her a bit now. Sighing, she grabbed a towel and her bathrobe and padded off into the adjacent bathroom she shared with the girl a room over. As she closed and locked the door behind her, she went over and locked the door to the other side as well before turning on the shower and slipping out of her pajamas. As she stepped into the shower, she felt a warm rush and smiled as she soaked in the flow of water. She was in there for about ten more minutes before she reemerged, drenched from head to foot before drying herself off with her towel. She unlocked both doors and exited through her own back to her room. As she closed and locked the door behind her, she began to rifle through some of her clothes in her closet and the ones strewn on various objects around her room. Arden wasn't neat by any means and her roommate back at her muggle boarding school had hated how she always managed to leave things all over the place... but whenever she had brought any of her friends over to see the mess, it was magically gone.
Suppose those were part of the joy's of being a witch. Arden grabbed a top and a skirt and paired them together on the bed as she dried her hair and found appropriate undergarments. She had her hair up in a towel as she began to dress herself, glancing at her reflection in the mirror when she was done. She seemed appropriately dressed in hopes of warmer weather again today. She wandered around the room and gathered up like-minded objects as accessories for the day. She wasn't feeling very girly and didn't exactly intend for half of them to end up looking like that, but there wasn't much to be done about it now. Arden was still too tired to really do anything to fix her appearance. Accepting the look, she grabbed a pair of patterned oxfords and slipped them onto her feet. Grabbing her book of dark magic, she stuffed it back into her brown leather bag and made her way towards her destination for the afternoon. She made sure to stop in the dining hall and grab some bread and cheese before it all disappeared and tucked it away inside some napkins on her way to the grounds. She was ready to head for a little walk with hopes to not be distracted or interrupted during her readings like last time. The library proved useless for reading and more adept for flirting apparently. Thank you, wizarding high school equivalent, she thought with a roll of her eyes. It all seemed very American, she thought as she walked out into the sunlight. Everyone acted a certain way and it was just interesting to sort of see it in action. The French, although a majority at the school, seemed to always be caught up in some kind of drama. Half of the time, these students loved creating drama. Some of the unlucky ones had drama thrust upon them. Very poetic. Arden held her head down against the wind as her chocolate hair lifted in the breeze and flew behind her like a delectable veil. She wandered into the Enchanted woods and was sure to follow the path for it would eventually lead her to the park she was heading to.
Celestial Peak seemed like a quiet, calm place to work. Besides, a great view of the ocean was a plus for her since she didn't really get the chance to see it very often. It took her about half an hour to make it there and when she emerged from the cover of the trees, she stood there taking it all in. It was rather breathtaking; the view, the breeze, the bright blue ocean... it looked like it was a scene pulled straight from a fairytale. She half expected all of the rabbits to start talking to her and then breaking out into a musical number. She smiled and walked right over to near the edge. She stared down over the side of the cliffs and cocked her head. It wasn't too far down, but it was enough that if someone fell they probably wouldn't be able to get back up. She sat down near the edge, but with enough room to let her legs stretch out behind her. She leaned on her stomach facing the ocean and pulled out her old book. She flipped through the pages before settling on a chapter of potions that could either kill someone or put them to sleep for an eternity. Dark magic was always so interesting, she thought with amusement as her eyes danced along the page, soaking in each word. She had no idea how long she was lying there until she found a shadow creeping up her legs until she was devoured in it. Slightly disappointed that someone had found her out, she looked up and had to cover the sun reflecting behind him with her hand. She was squinting, but still couldn't quite see who it was. "Hello? Can I help you?"
