... She'd never spent much time outside of the castle, save for her trips near the lake or oak tree, but the warm weather had made her itch for a walk. While it wasn't anywhere near summer weather, the dull heat gave one the impression that it was. Bouncing out unto the courtyard pavement she wandered from corner to corner, twisting a lock of hair around her finger. Thankfully she was able to keep it relatively styled as there was no wind to mess it all. Clad in one of her favorite sweaters Zoe relished in the cooling sensation the air gave her. She had no plans in particular and usually never did as something, whether it be a person or an object, often struck her interest rather quickly.
She crossed from corner to corner, stopping to converse only with a few people before finally sitting down on the nearest bench. Rolling up the sleeves of her sweater she watched a few students joked and laughed loudly, tossing a few gobstones around. It wasn't until she looked up that she noticed more people had trickled out from the confines of the castle determined to soak in the wonderful day. A bright sun and breezy weather seemed to coax everyone from their room and library books. She could see a few take the path to the lake while others stuck to walking around the courtyard. Shouts of laughter encircled her, and noise filled her ears as the minutes passed. Teachers, students, even a few ghosts passed by her offering their hellos and conversations.
It wasn't until she'd gotten up from her seat to wander about some more that she noticed one students in particular. At least she assumed he was a student. There was no telling as everyone was walking about in muggle clothing. He looked to be about her age, and from what she saw he was alone. Biting her lip she shuffled over to him and pretended to be interested in a bit of ivy growing from the cracks of a castle wall. "Cool stuff." she said nonchalantly, nodding her head and twisting a bit of the plant between her fingers. "If you like this type of thing, anyway."
When he said nothing she cleared her throat and let a few minutes pass before she spoke again. "I'm Zoe, by the way." She'd been told by her mother once that starting a conversation with your name was always the safest route as people would remember you. Unless the forgot it later on of course. |

It was a nice day. But that was not the only reason why. He hated being stuck indoors at all hours. It made him feel… stuffy and almost claustrophobic, which was from the dragon in him. However what made it rather surprising was that the demon was not outside with a book. He instead was simply enjoying the mild yet pleasant weather in silence while leaning back against the bench, eyes closed.
However that silence did not last. It never lasted. There were too many walking passed him, but it was more than easy to block out. Especially since no one was talking to him directly. Unfortunately it did not last. He instead heard an unfamiliar voice. Unaware whether or not the person was speaking directly to him Freyr opened his steel blue-grey eyes. It was then he noticed a dark-haired female, who was rather attractive.
But instead of simply appreciating the girl’s looks he began talk, Hello Ms. Zoe. I am Freyr Eriksson, pleasure to meet you. Having been taught to be polite at all times Freyr found it easy to begin, or rather continue, the conversation, Unfortunately what is interesting to others can be the opposite for some. But I do see the intrigue of the plants. So I suppose you are in luck. But may I ask, exactly why are you here instead out shopping or with friends?
Freyr was fully aware of how rude his question was, but he could not help it. His curiosity got the better of him. Also he found it… odd that someone was speaking to him without having him approach them first. It did happen, but not often enough. | [atrb=width,100]outfit ,clicktagged ,cherri 'zoe' watson notes ,so sorry for the crappiness! it will get better, i promise. e.e |

... Taking his openness to elaborate on their conversation, Zoe proceeded to sit down next to the young man, placing her hands in her lap. "Likewise, Freyr." His name was unlike any she'd heard before but then again she had no room to judge. Twiddling her thumbs she shrugged at his question, "Convenience?" There was no actual reason for her to be out here, her friends were elsewhere; by the lake or dashing away all their holiday money. "I just figured this would be a nice place to spend part of my day."
Tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear Zoe turned to look at her new bench companion, "What about yourself? You seem like the kind that would have much more to do than sit on a bench. Alone." It wasn't strange for Zoe to be so open, she enjoyed that part of getting to know someone, learning about them over time. Clearing her throat, she smooth out the ivy leaf she'd pulled from the wall, studying it closely as she waited for his answer. "Actually I don't think I find plants terribly fascinating but I suppose if I ever gave it a chance I might like it." School was not one of Zoe's strong points. She tried very hard but there always seemed to be something else that was more interesting. More...attention grabbing.
Then again, her attention span was rather limited, if something she was doing didn't keep her attention for more than five minutes she was a lost cause. Countless subjects went through the Zoe cycle. Ballet, violin, piano, the harp even, none of them had ever made it. So, as sad as it was to say school rarely kept her attention. It was irrevocably and painfully boring. Thankfully, this guy, this stranger had captured her attention quickly. Obviously his looks had a lot to do with it as she wasn't stupid. The minute she noticed him, his appearance had been greatly appreciated. There had been something more though, a mysteriousness that surrounded him. Turning to face his profile, she pulled her hair over one shoulder and opened her mouth, "I'm not bothering you am I?" |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] A faint smile appeared as he answered the unspoken question, I know my name is unlike anything you have heard. It is because my name has a Norse background. It was a common confusion however it was something he was used. But immediately the conversation changed directions as the girl answered his rather rude question.
Nodding his head he agreed, It is a lovely place. The nature, the warmth, the shade. Everything around here is just pleasant. But at the girl’s next statement Freyr laughed. He could not help it. But instead of continuing the laughter, as though mocking the girl which he was not since the tone was amusement, he responded, I rather prefer the outdoors. It relaxes me. I have a small… issue with being stuck indoors at all hours. It becomes stuffy and almost… well, do not go telling the world, but I find it rather claustrophobic.
It was a rather odd and amusing situation. He was rather tall after all, standing at 6’1”, and he definitely had muscle, weighing at 183 lbs but it was all purely muscle. However rather than simply stating his dislike for being indoors Freyr became a little playful by winking at the female while putting his right index finger on his lips.
Though the wink and keep-it-a-secret gesture did not last his playfulness continued on. If you were bothering me, you would know. So do not worry about that M’lady. He was aware how off the ‘m’lady’ sounded however he could not help it. It was fun seeing how people reacted however immediately the tone changed from playful to pure joy as he added, And nature is a phenomenal thing. It always is changing. It always is surviving. No matter what it strives for something beyond its reaches.
He was aware how odd his statement about nature was. But he could not help it. Nature, his love for it, was apart of him thanks to his blood. However his love for it only grew as he became to appreciate certain aspects of it all and it was not odd, at all, that Freyr was being this way in front of the girl. But it was most likely thanks to the girl’s gender and attractiveness that he was willing to be so… charming yet playful and open. | [atrb=width,100]outfit ,clicktagged ,cherri 'zoe' watson notes , your post was amazing though! while mine is... ;-; well, let us just say meh. x.x |
