Amanda ran inside after she had finished swimming ourside. She was just standing
In the entrance hall thinking Of somethimg to do. She had no interesting book currently, so she decided to practice her damcing.

She carried her bag to rhe auditorium and made sure no body was in rhere. No bosy was, so Amand took out her CD player and dance shoes.

Amanda loved to damce. She liked how she was able to use energy, be calm and have fun. She looked in her bag for the CD. It wasn't in there! It was actually hiding umder pygmy puff. Amanda walked on stage and got in her dancing position.

Lily felt bored out of her mind. It was the end of another school day, and surprisingly she received no homework. She decided that she would practice on her guitar. Grabbing her bag from her dormitory, she made her way to the auditorium.

The silver moonlight was shining her back while she walked down the isle to the auditorium. This was Lily's favourite time in the day. Watching the stars and the different planets was Lily's favourite thing to do, making out their different shapes and what was what. Lily was now at the entrance of the auditorium. She was just about to enter the room when something made her stop in her tracks. Was that music she was hearing? The door was slightly ajar, so she creeped towards the door, wondering what was inside. Lily looked in, and what she saw made her jump.

One of her fellow classmates was in there. Amanda, her name was. They didn't really talk to each other, but what Amanda was doing was amazing. She was dancing to a classical CD. So that explains the music, she thought. Lily didn't want to disturb her, but Amanda was a natural! She watched on, in awe of her natural talent...

Amanda was dancing when she heard a voice. A person coming into the auditorium. When she turned around, she noticed that it was Lily McG! Lily was in some of Amanda's classes.

Amanda walked down the stars watching her step.

"Hey Lily!" she said to the girl. She saw that Lily had a guitar. ''Do you play?" she asked Lily. I play clarinet. Not extremely well though.

"Hey Amanda" Lily replied. "Yep, i play Guitar, i have been playing since i was 9."
"Cool" Amanda said. "Can i watch you play?"
Lily was unsure about this. Usually she was laughed at, and maybe Amanda would laugh too. But instead of saying no, she said "Ok then"

Lily got in her position, getting ready to play. She would play her favourite tune, Dancing in the moonlight, one of the pieces her mother taught her.

As Lily was playing, Amanda was watching in interest, not looking like she was about to burst with laughter, but in complete awe of her playing the Guitar. When Lily finished her piece, Amanda gave her a big round of applause. She beamed, glad that someone appreciated her talent of the guitar.

Amanda was truly amazed at Lily's guitar talent. She had never seen anything like it! Her amazement was truly unexplainable.

"You're awesome at that!" she exclaimed. "Do you want to listen to me play my clarinet?" Amanda gestured at the long black woodwind instrument. ''I've also been playing since I was nine.

She really hoped Lily would like her clarinet playing as much as Amanda liked Lily's guitar playing. Amanda wet the reed at placed the mouthpeice in her mouth. She began the piece she had been practicing.

Once Amanda had finished her piece, Lily gave her a round of applause. She was truly amazing!

"Well done Amanda! that was amazing!"Lily exclaimed. "And i just want to say that your amazing at Dancing. Do you mind if i watch you practice?"

Lily thought she saw a flicker of worry in her eyes, but pretended to have not noticed. She sat on the blood red armchair at the corner of the room and waited for her answer...

Amanda beamed. Lily seamed to have liked her music! She had also asked if she could watch her practice dancing. Amanda hadn't often danced in front of people. She only sung, acted, and played music for people. But Lily had already seen a little bit, so Amy had nothing to lose.

"OK" she said to her friend as sh turned towards the stage. She walked up it and turned on the music. This time it wasn't classical. It was the kind of music that people listened to often. Amy had no idea how it got i n there, but decided to give it a shot.

She actually had quite a bit of fun, until she tripped over a cable. She got up fine though. Perhaps she could practice regular-music dancing. She laughed at her own funny mistake.

Amanda's dancing was amazing, until she tripped up on the cable, which made Lily do an ear piercing laugh, until she remembered that she is not meant to be here (because it is 11 at night and your meant to be in your dorms) and covered her mouth with her hand.

It had been an enjoyable night, she had made a new friend, they shared interests, and they were now going to share a dorm! Lily looked out of the small spider webbed window. It was getting late..if a professor found them here...

"Amanda, its getting late. I'm going to our dorm. I wouldn't want us getting found out on our first week here."

The handy thing was that Lily had an invisibility cloak, which she demonstrated to Amanda. Lily could go anywhere without being seen. She asked if Amanda wanted to join her under the invisibility cloak, and waited for her answer...

"I would love to go with you to our dorm" Amanda whispered to her friend. She took off her dance shoes, but put them back on when she realized how soft these ones were. She tiptoed over to Amanda trying not to step on a cable. She ducked under the invisibility cloak with Lily.

The girls tiptoed through the hall just barely avoiding the caretaker's cat. Amy was extremely careful when walking up all of the marble staircases. She wanted to jump for joy when they reached the Cossu Common Room. Amanda took off the invisibility cloak and sat by the fire.

"I'll be up real soon" she said to her friend. "Ashley and I are going to sit here for a few minutes" she added taking her pet pygmy puff out of her duffel bag. "You can join us if you like".

"Ok" Lily replied. "I'm just going to dump my Guitar bag in our dorm."
Lily quickly ran up to there room, bringing her bag up with her. She was really happy. They had had an amazing time in the cloak, and Lily was going to have an amazing time tonight.

When she had gone down, there were a couple of Fourth Years doing homework, but other wise they were quite alone. Lily saw Amanda clutching a pygmy puff. She had always wanted one. "I love your pygmy puff" She said, sitting down on one of the tattered armchair.

Lily then looked at all the grand portraits. The people in them were either asleep or reading books. She was so amazed on how her life has changed these last few years. Lily turned to Amanda, who was stroking her Ashley. Lily said "What do you wanna do tomorrow?" She sat back and waited for her answer.

Amy looked at Lily. "Maybe we could ride broomsticks" she said. Amy loved quidditch, and Lily had tried out for quidditch. Ames was already on the team. "Or we could go do something in the auditorium" she added.

''I need to show you something" she said pulling Lily up to their dorm. She showed her the portrait of the lady who if looked at from the right angle, had a beard. Amy could never help laughing when se looked at the lady.

She let out a yawn and entered her dorm. Amanda placed Ashley in her wire bird cage. The warm blanket felt so cozy as Amy jumped on it. She turned off the lights and drifted off to sleep.

"That would be epic, riding broomsticks!" Lily said. Her late father had got her a Firebolt, and Lily was dyeing to ride on it again. And riding with friends would be even better.

When Amanda showed Lily the picture of the lady who appeared to have a beard, she couldn't help herself but laugh. When the old lady woke up, she asked them what was so funny, and they ran away laughing.

When Lily got to her dorm, she was shattered. Lily changed into her pyjamas and slumped down on her four poster bed. "Night Amanda" She muttered, and fell into a deep sleep.

Amanda said goodnight to her friend and imagined tomorrow. She would ride her Nimbus2000 while Lily rode her firebolt. Amanda hadnt rode with a friend for a long time. Only for short amounts of time by herself. Ananda couldn't wait.

Amanda woke at about 8:oo AM that morning. She hadn't been woken up by the chirping of Ashley. She was tired that morning, so she headed to the Common Room to the fireplace after waking up Lily. She went downstairs with her hot cocoa and Ashley every sunday morning. The room was pretty quiet, as only afew sixth years were talking about boys.

It was 8:15. Amy went up stairs where Lily was getting dressed. Amy settled with a pair of jeans and a blue cardigan. She grabbed her Nimbus2000 and headed doen to the pitch with Lily. It felt so good to get outside. She Dripped her broom gently on the grownd and lifted her heels. She had recently got the hang of the whole veela hovering thing. She spun around in the air. She felt so alive!

When Lily got dressed, she picked up her Firebolt and made her way to the Quidditch Pitch. The glorious sun was shining down her neck, nothing could spoil such a perfect day.

As Lily got closer to the pitch, she saw that Amanda was already there. She waved at Amanda and entered the pitch. Lily lifted up her heels, and kicked off the ground. She had never felt so alive! Lily circled the whole pitch. She could see the whole school! This felt amazing, she thought, as she joined her fellow friend.

They both started practicing chasing, Lily as Keeper, Amanda as Chaser. To Lily there hasn't been a better day then today. The wind whipped in her face, as Lily asked Amanda if she was enjoying herself.

The girls started playing with Amy as chaser and Lily as keeper. When Lily asked her if she was having fun, Amy said that she was. Amanda let goof her broom and used magic to land it gently. She started hovering. She hadn't done it in a while but really enjoyed it.

Amanda sped towards Lily and dropped the quaffle into the hoop. She continued spinning around wothout her broom. She was starting to get hungry. Amanda took some candies from her pocket and fave one to Lily.

Amanda glided down and hopped back on her broom so she could play some real quiddy. She got a few more goals, but then decided to switch roles with her friend. She got in her spot in front of the goal post.
