Dancin' in the Moonlight// Open to All

[Lily Lockhart]

Lily gripped the quaffle in her hands. She was a Beater in her local Quidditch Team thus Captain, but was a stand-in for Chaser if the actual chaser was off. She approached Amanda and threw the quaffle, which she blocked. Amanda would be a good keeper, she thought. Lily did another throw at the hoop, and this time scored. She whizzed around the whole of the Quidditch pitch, pretending to be in celebration. Lily laughed at what she was doing.

After the switch, They started practicing beating Bludgers. Amanda got nearly hit by one, which Lily hit instead. They both had lots of fun, and both were really good at hitting the Bludgers.

Afterwards, They set about looking for the Snitch. Lily's eyes darted around the Quidditch Pitch. She saw a glint of gold shining by the Hoops, and sprinted towards the hoops. But Amanda was closer. She had got the Snitch first, but on the next go Lily had got it by an inch, with Amanda just behind.

Amanda was amazed at how good at quidditch Lily was. She had caught the snitch just before Amy was. She then realized something. She needed to get her scrapbook from trunk. She hopped off of her broom and ran into her dorm. It was under her not-so-secret stash of candy.

She picked up the purple book that had pictures of her playing quidditch on the Rue de Paradis Junior Summer Team. She knew that she had played against Lily in one of the pictures.

Amy ran back down to the pitch with it. She showed her friend the picture of the two teams side by side. An eleven year old (Amy) was standing beside a twelve year old girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes (Lily).

Lily gasped. She had actually met Amanda before, they played a match against each other! Lily was so shocked. She remembered meeting Amanda because they were captains! Lily was dumb folded.

"I didn't realised that was you I played against!" Lily exclaimed. What a shock that was. After a while, they did some more practice, then went into their dorms.

Lily had a copy of the photo Amanda had shown her, which was hanged up on her wall bit. She also showed Amanda a picture of both of them charging for the Quaffle (when Lily took the position of Chaser when her fellow teammate was off sick)

Amanda got some cocoa and sandwiches out of her cabinet. She toasted her grilled cheese sandwich and bit a piece off. Amanda loved the grilled cheese sandwiches she made. She always added five strips of bacon. She started reading her ''Quidditch Through the Ages" book. She was reading about the Quiberon Quafflepunchers and how they were one of France's top quidditch teams.

She then got on her pajamas and started to pet Ashley. Ashley had been skwacking but was now purring contently, as Amy had given her a taste of the cocoa. She let out a yawn, so she went outside said goodnight to the cranky bearded painting.

"Good night" she said to Lily as she pulled up her blanket. She drifted off to sleep.

Lily got her third cup of Cocoa while Amanda went to sleep. She didn't feel like sleeping at the moment. Lily went on her Laptop and started watching some movies with her headphones.

After watching some movies, Lily was starting to feel tired. She pulled on her pyjamas and pulled herself into bed. Lily had a chocolate frog, savouring every bite.

Lily was shattered. Another fun filled day, she thought. Lily closed her eyes, and thinking of what she would do tomorrow, went to sleep.

Amanda woke up at 7:00. She quickly got dressed and combed out her curls. She then tied them in two side ponytails and added a pink baret. She was wearing a pink shirt and pink capris. She knew for a fact that it was impossible to wear too much pink.

She wole up Lily, who got dressed in a blue version of Amanda's outfit. She held up her pygmy puff as an accessory. The girls walked calmly to the Dining Hall.

Amy ate two pieces of bacon and a scrambled egg. When she finished, and had energy, she decided to Run around the room.

After breakfast, Lily brushed her hair into a plait. She also added some flowers into her hair; then looking in the mirror, was quite pleased with the outcome.

Lily then looked out of the window, and saw lots of pupils playing outside, some studying and doing homework, but others sitting by the dated willow tree.

Lily saw Amanda running around the room like a headless chicken, which made Lily laugh. They both decided to go for a walk to let the energy out.

The girls had decided to go for a walk in the woods. Amy hadn't ever been there, so she was nervous. Yet, at the same time she was excited about seeing more of the Beauxbatons grounds.

She slowly enterd the dark and spooky woods. It was quiet and therefore even more spooky. Amy heard afew noises, but started to hover whenever she did. After a few minutes, she ran out to the brightness of day.

"Maybe we should stay out here and do something" she suggested to her friend. She was glad to finally be out of that dark forest.

"Yes, i agree" Lily replied. They both had an unpleasant time in the forest, and Lily wasn't game to go in there any time soon.

Both girls started walking around Beauxbatons, chatting about Lily's birthday tomorrow. She also told Amanda that she got a letter from her mother:

"I was so pleased" She said. "Mum said that she would send me a letter tomorrow! I am so excited!" They entered the garden and settled down on the chair. Lily asked Amanda what she wanted to do.

Amy rubbed her chin as she thought of what to do. Amanda lifted her heels and floated into the air. She imagined that she looked rather silly doing this, so she spread out her arms and flew in a large circle before coming down. She had an idea.

Amy guided Lily to Rue de Paradis. This was Amanda's hometown and a popular shopping spot for BB students. She remembered two years ago when she and Lil had played each other on the children's quidditch pitch. Amy had played for the Paradis Pigwidgeons, a summer quidditch team for children ages eight to twelve.

Amanda noticed how Lily had smiled when they passed the pitch. Perhaps she was remembering the same moment as Amy. The moment when Ames accidentally scored in the wrong hoop. At that she had to laugh. She was such a peculiar child! She still was.

Lily smiled. This was the exact pitch where they had played Quidditch against each other. Lily remembered when she toke off her arms off her broom and went to shoot a bludger at a Paradis Pigwidgeons Chaser, and she completely missed and fell on the ground in front of 100 odd people in training. Lily laughed, remembering that incident. Lily played for the Paris Junior Lion Riders, a local group in Lily's area that took ages 5-12, but Lily would be to old for that now, she would apply for the Paris Senior Lion Riders.

Both Girls walked around the beautiful Rue de Paradis, looking around the shops. Lily got herself some more food for her Pygmy Puff, and both girls went to a petite cafe for a cake and some Hot Chocolate.

At the table, Lily asked Amanda what she should call the deep purple Pygmy Puff she got for her birthday.

The girls were sipping hot cocoa and munching on the cake when Amanda heard Lily ask her a question. She had been wondering what to name her pygmy puff. She thought carefully and replied when she had an answer. "I read that pygmy puff names are supposed to have A-beginning names. "Perhaps Arnold or Archie for a boy, and Allie or Annie for a girl?" she suggested.

"Perhaps I should get a refill" she said when her cocoa ran out. She walked to the counter and ordered another cup. She also picked up some food off the fround for Ashley and Lily's pygmy puff. Pygmy puffs would eat anything. She had also gotten food for Tawny and Holly.

Amy got bored easily. She lifted her heels and floated back to school with Lily, Ashley, Tawny, Holly and Purple pygmy puff. It was 7:00 and Amanda got a startling thought. She hadn't given Lily her gift. She flew up to the common room and presented the gift to Lily. It was a chocolate frog, and a Quiberon Quafflepunchers game ticket.

"Annie! Thats it! Thanks" Lily said. Annie seemed to suit her pygmy puff perfectly, and when Lily asked the pygmy puff if she liked it, the pygmy puff started jumping up and down like a jumping bean!

Lily and Amanda got a refill of Cocoa, and then went back to the school with Tawny, Holly, Ashley and Annie.

As they got in, Amanda said she had to get something, and she flew to their dorm. Amanda presented her with a chocolate frog and a Quiberon Quafflepunchers ticket! Lily hugged Amanda, and asked her when the game is.

"The game is next wednesday at 3:00. I got permission for us to skip potions" she replied as her friend hugged her. They then headed to the dormitory with their pets. Amanda got into her purple pajamas and braided her hair into to plaits on the sides of her head.

Amy made some popcorn and cocoa. She also got some chocolate frogs for the movie. Amy hat bought a magical power generator for the movie they were going to watch on the laptop that Amy had enlarged.

Amy sat on her bed with Tawny and Ashley sitting beside her. She opened the frog boxes. She had gotten Olympe Maxime and Jocelin Cossu. She hit play as the movie began.

The movie was amazing, as Lily ate popcorn and drank cocoa. Tonight was the weekend, so Lily didn't care if they went to bed late.

As the movie ended, Lily played with Annie. She put out a hoop and Annie jumped through it, while Lily started clapping and gave Annie a treat.

Lily stretched her arms. She got herself another bag of popcorn and cocoa. She sat on the bed and put on another movie.
