Even though she had been living there for the most part of her life, the past several years Celestiel felt a need to change locations and careers. But one thing lead to another and she returned. Being close to the magical community would let her express herself more freely than bottling up the fact that she's a witch. Besides, she would be living close enough to her new work place, the Bancaire where she manages the accounts of students from Beauxbatons, more specifically for her alma mater, Rouerie. It was very exciting to be accepted into the establishment and putting all her hard work to good use now. Though she hasn't formally met all of her coworkers, she hoped that one of these days they would all be on good and welcoming terms.
The dark haired brunette entered her living room which was quite bare considering she has been moving into it since yesterday. Celestiel was lucky enough to sign the lease and move immediately while her last landlord was a wonderful old woman who let her out of her contract a couple months early. There was much to be unpacked, but on a beautiful sunny day as this, well she needed fresh air. Celestiel was still in her pajamas at the time, and figured that if she plans on taking a walk and perhaps finding lunch nearby, she needed to dress more appropriately. A pair of khaki shorts and an olive green tee would do. Her bare feet slipped on a pair of sandals and she fixed her dark locks up in an elastic band.
Leaving her apartment, she shuffled quietly down the stairs and hallways to the front entrance. Across was Jolie Park, very lively with people taking their walks with pets, friends, or family. Crossing the street, she too walked down the path that weaved through the park, taking in all her surroundings. It was much different from last night when she first arrived. But all she could think about now was her family. Celestiel missed them and would have loved to see her brothers, but they all had lives now. One day they would have to get together, but until then she was practically alone on her own. But nevertheless, she would try to make the best of it from now on. feelings are so strong, I WON'T LET EM GO WRONG THIS CAN BE OUR SONG |
[/div] Alexandre hadn't spent much time outside of Beauxbatons at his small flat on the Rue de Paradis. Adrian, his eldest brother, had set it up for him. Once he had owned the Couru en Liberté but passed it off to a professor who wanted to leave Beauxbatons. Now, the flat that Adrian wanted to live in was passed onto Alex. Gladly, the man had taken advantage of his parting brother and moved in almost immediately. He ran a hand through his hair as he stared at his face in the small bathroom mirror. It was no beautiful loft, but it was what would do. He ran his hand over his stubbled chin and sighed. He opened up one of the cupboards, the one where the handle was nearly about the fall off, and pulled out some old fashioned shaving cream and a knife. His brothers and his father had taught the boys to shave in an old fashioned way. It gave a clean shave and taught them precision and patience from the many cuts all the boys had achieved when they were barely fifteen or sixteen. Veela boys tended to age a little more quickly than others in terms of male hormones. But they all grew when they were about sixteen. A few moments later, the man had a clean shaved face that felt fresh despite the slight sting against his skin when the water cleansed it. He quickly took some aftershave in his fingers and pat it along his jawline and neck. Feeling a little more refreshed he walked over to his fridge in the other room and opened it up. He looked around and realized he was short on just about everything. With a slight grumble, he realized he needed to leave the flat and actually buy some groceries. With a slight sigh, he wandered back into his room and picked out his shirt and some jeans that were scattered around and slipped into them comfortably. He ran a hand through his hair, messying it up a little bit, and then made sure he had his wallet with his muggle money along with his wizarding money. He figured he'd take his wand and quickly gave it a shake, applying a little invisibility charm to it when he stuffed it into the back pocket of his jeans. It wasn't a bright idea, but he would do what worked for the short time he planned on being outdoors. When he locked the apartment behind him, he noticed that the sun seemed to be out and the day was warm. There were always pleasantries exchanged between him and various other professors and shop owners as they all knew and respected one another. It wasn't very often that someone new moved onto the street as there were limited jobs available in the Rue, but of course there were always French ministry workers who found themselves staying there instead of in a nicer flat closer to where they worked, or of course, in their own hidden townhome or apartment which was rather popular. He checked his watch and realized he honestly had nothing to rush to so he decided to take the more scenic route through the lovely - er, Jolie park. When he dashed across the street between a gap of muggle cars, he found himself wandering into the beauty that was the park. Flowers and trees, beautiful, luscious grass... it was well kept and wonderful. The colours were stunning and he couldn't help but feel a little more at ease in the park than he was back in the Rue. He walked through, his hands in his pockets, occasionally whistling a short tune as he strolled around. He found himself part way through until he spotted a woman who he was sure he had seen once or twice in the Rue de Paradis. He squinted a little and made a short beeline towards her. He wasn't entirely sure how to ask if she was who he thought she was, so he he made the best of a strange situation and took a seat a respectable distance away from her on the bench despite there being others available for seating. He couldn't notice her beauty and wondered about her descent - could she be a partial veela like himself? It was rare to find them, but somehow there were many around the Beauxbatons school. The Lilly's were certainly a large chunk of them as Lisa had chosen to have many children despite her full veela heritage from the Ministry program. Alex didn't know too much about that, but it was clear that the family didn't want much being spread and would prefer that they just continue living their lives despite their rare strength of veelaism. Thankfully for Alex, none of the boys really showed their more... dangerous veela side yet. Perhaps more as children, but back then it was less harsh. However, they had seen their mother's harpie side on many occasions - something Alex did his best to avoid. He glanced away from the woman, knowing full well that he might strike her as either a stalker or someone who she would want to distance herself from. He cleared his throat and adjusted his seat on the bench before glancing her way and casually asked, in the best way possible, "Do you believe in magic?"It was only after he said it did he realize that it could be construed as a pick up line, but failed to back of his phrase with anything to deter the thought from being seen as such. He coughed a little, and looked away from her, more towards the park's beauty. TAGGED: celestiel, open NOTES: we shalt see how this goes! still learning about alex though :P also sorry about alex's awkward conversation-starter haha [/div]
