The Defense Against the Dark Arts section of the palace is split over two levels.
Classroom Layout
The DADA classroom is located as one level off one of the palace corridors.
To the left, a series of shelves allow a spot for students to put their bags and a collection of supplies used in class, including a large number of cushions stored in a bag that has an Undetectable Extension Charm cast on it.
Four rows of three twin-student desks fills the main part of the room, with a teacher's desk to one side at the front.
A standard blackboard sits at the front of the room, which can be changed with a simple spell to go white for projection capabilities using the DADA department magical projector - normally stored upstairs in the storage room.
A large bay window is on one wall with a fish tank nearby and three house flags at the back of the room.
Professor's Office
Access to the DADA office is via a magical staircase. On use of a spell cast-able from either location, a staircase will grow up from the floor into the ceiling and open up a path to the office.
The floor of the office has been enchanted by Mary to look like a field of grass and the walls enchanted to look like blue sky with moving clouds - making it look like the office is in the middle of an English moor.
A fireplace is set into one wall and connected to the Floo network.
A blue couch is located in one corner with her Ravenclaw Cleansweep Seven broom floating above.
Numerous bookshelves filled with all manner of books are arranged around the room, along with a fish tank, a bunch of pot plants and a working desk in the middle.
An oak armoire is against one wall, which holds the DADA department's boggart used for teaching purposes - named Fred. Fred likes scaring young children and loves walnuts & carrots.
An attached store-room holds various materials that need to be kept from general hands (particularly students). There is a working sink for cleaning up. The door is protected by a number of protective spells.
