The air was frosty. Everything was still. The girl ran to the scenic woods and strolled. The night was calm and, with a lizard perched on her shoulder, the girl reached her destination. Moonstone bridge. She tiptoed on to it's glimmering surface and looked down at the once thriving stream. It was now dried and barren. Very few dared to jump to it. Claire felt a surge of energy.

The girl, or Claire, was a Rouerie at Beauxbatons. She pulled back her silky blonde curls and released. Every second, she worried about getting caught by a teacher. AT age fourteen, her curfew was a bit later then the others', but she was still expected to be in bed at eight-thirty sharp. At nine o'clock, Claire began to twiddle her fingers anxiously.

A slight movement rustled a bush nearby. Claire froze in fright, realizing that she was dead meat. Out of the bush flew a pixie. Claire had not been experienced enough to know which kind it was. It flitted around her, its silvery winks sparkling in the moonlight. The pixie looked like a grindlylow in terms of it's body. It was a creamy clear color, with merfolk-like ears.

"Hey little guy. Looks like it's just you and me tonight." Claire whispered to the creature. She put out her finger, and the pixie sat on it. It muttered incoherently and Claire acted like she under stood the pixie. She told the critter about her friends, her boyfriend, and her marvelous teachers. Tonight, CLaire wished to be alone. But at Beauxbatons, alone was impossible.

[Lily Lockhart]

<sub>Lily gingerly walked down the grounds under the invisibility cloak. Apparently tonight Venus can be seen, so Lily decided to bring her Astromany set to have a look. Lily was talented at Astromany, and she has a big love for it.

When Lily had found the best spot, she took off the invisibility cloak and quickly changed her appearance to look like the Astromany professor, for she is a Metamorphmagus. Lily didn't want to get caught tonight, not ever. She wanted to be up until dawn, watching the moon and stars.

After an hour, Lily (who resembled the Astromany professor) turned back into her original self, and looked around. She was by the moonstone bridge, and there she saw was her best friend Claire. Claire seemed in a distant world, but Lily went up to her and sat down with her. "Hey Claire" Lily whispered softly.</sub>

[Amanda James]

Amanda woke up with a start. Amy was a Cossu at Beauxbatons. She looked around the room. Her room mate, Lily wasn't in the room. Perhaps she was out playing with her astronomy set. She had been going on and on to Amy about how Venus was supposed to be visible tonight.

Astronomy was the only class Amy wasn't good at. She hopped out of bed and made some cocoa. she often did this before she went outside.

Amy threw on her invisibility cloak and lifted her heels. This was a veela trick she had learned from her friend Claire. Amy walked by the moonstone bridge where, as she expected, Lily was observing the planet thingamabobs. Amy s,pothead out her long fluffy curls as she looked at her watch. It was an hour after the twelve year old was supposed to go to bed. Amy noticed that her friend Claire was there too!

[Claire Charrier]

The girl noticed her friends below. They spoke to her, but she could not understand. Scared as she was, Claire decided to find a nearby tree and slide down it for a trick.

Her heart pounding, Claire clutched on to the old tree. The hands gripped loosely around the woody trunk, she whispered, "Hi." to Amanda and Lily. Then, Claire spun around a few times and swung off onto the bridge.

"Wow!" she exclaimed quietly. Claire looked at her watch. It was officially ten o'clock. She motioned to her friends that they needed to get back to the castle.

Instantly, Claire rushed towards the Rouerie dorms. She ran quickly past prefects patrolling the corridors so they couldn't see her. Claire entered the common room, went to the girls dormitories and found hers. She went to sleep.

Morning came, and Claire woke early so she could go to the bridge again. Creeping silently so she wouldn't be heard, she eventually reached her destination and drew the pixie she saw the night before. When she had finished, she tocked it into her bag and waited for someone to come.

[Lily Lockhart]

<sub>Lily heard the crumple of feet, leaping towards the two girls. Lily had a feeling who it was, so did the spell where you can see the unseen. Sure enough, it was Amanda. Amanda took off her invisibility cloak and sat down next to the two girls.

"Hi Amanda" Lily whispered. The three girls sat in silence, observing the surroundings. Lily saw a miniature pixie hover over her head, and Lily smiled. It was a pleasant night and Lily wanted to be out here forever.

Silence. Lily wasn't one for Silence for an age of time. She turned to the two younger girls and asked "What brings you two out at this time?" Lily was just being curious.

When it was 10:00pm the girls went back to the castle, where Lily and Amanda went back to there dorms. Lily went straight asleep, dreaming of the next day.

When Lily woke up, it was 7:00am. Lily dressed into her usual Beuaxbatons uniform and rushed down the Moonstone bridge, where she saw Claire.

"Hey Claire! Lovely day isn't it?" Lily called.</sub>

[Amanda James]

"What brings you two here at this time?" Was the question that she had been asked by her room mate Lily. "I was bored up in my room" she replied and asked Lily the same thing. She had probably been playing with her astronomy set and observing thingamabobs In the sky.

The girls soon headed up to the Cossu girls dorms. Amy observed her clock. It was two hour past her curfew. Lilly's was probably a few minutes later, as she was a year older.

Amy threw off her cloak and jumped in bed after feeding Tawny and Ashley.-------------- The next morning Amy got dressed and went down to the bridge again.

<sub>Lily sat down next to Claire, taking in the beautiful surroundings. Another great day at Beauxbatons, and Lily couldn't be happier. Lily dug into her bag and got her Sketch book and Quill, and started drawing Moonstone Bridge.

When Lily had finished, she then took out her Astromany book from her bag and continued reading it. Tonight at 11:00pm there was going to be a full moon and many stars in the sky. Perfect for star glazing, Lily thought. Lily shut her book and looked behind her.

Lily could see Amanda wandering down towards them. Lily waved at Amanda, and beckoned her to sit next to Lily.</sub>

[Amanda James]

Amanda smiled as she sat between her friends Claire and Lily. She looked up. Both girls were a few inches taller than her. They were also a year older.

Amy smoothed out her pajamas and took her book out of her bag. It was called The Hunger Games and it was written by Suzanne Collins.

She let out a yawn as she had a sip of hot cocoa.

Lily knew she really shouldn't be doing this, but sometimes you just had to let loose. And yes, she shouldn't be going alone, but silence was something she treasured now, often seeking out the library, but even then the whispers got too much. Don't get her wrong, Lily loved people, loved conversations, but sometimes she needed a break. Nighttime always provided that for her. Night walks especially now that she had a roommate, who, thank goodness she didn't snore, but make some noise in her sleep, not letting Lily clearly think.

Lily pulled on a pair of pajama pants, loving the warm and fuzzy feel they gave her legs, before pulling on boots and a sweater and taking her wand. It was always good to be prepared for the worst, plus if she was going to the woods or something, she didn't want to die. Lily also took her prefects badge, just in case she had to whip that out to get out of a tight situation. That always came in handy. Lily first decided to go down to the kitchens, hopefully not while being caught, and see if the house elves had a little midnight snack for her. Like coffee ice cream, that'd be nice right now. The house elves were, luckily, happy to oblige and she sat down with them, chatting, while she ate the delicious ice cream. Nothing like it.

Lily made her way through the grounds, enjoying the tranquility of the wind rushing through her hair and the sound of the branches swaying back and forth. She hummed a tune to herself, as she continued her walking in the brisk air. To be honest, Lily had missed the cold. Coming from England, there wasn't much warmth in the summer and one would have thought Lily would be excited for the heat that France offered, but, sometimes it just got to be too much. Lily wandered into the forest, keeping a closer eye out for animals that could be around, luckily it wasn't a full moon. That would be bad. Almost happened to her once when she first arrived at Beauxbatons, luckily, one of her friends had saved her. Lily began to follow the familiar path to the bridge, jumping a bit when she saw three girls already there. "Um, hiya! Didn't expect to see anyone out this late, and in the woods. I'm Lily by the way, how are you guys?"

[Claire Charrier]

"Oh, hi! I'm Claire, I don't believe we've met. Claire smiled up at the stranger and rubbed her hands together. Her ability to greet people in an instant often had frightened her grandmother. Once, she shook a man's hand and nearly got kidnapped. In fear of anger, Claire put her hand on her wand.

The more Claire stared, the more she recognized this girl. "Hey, aren't you a Rouerie?" She said without thought. Often Claire was a quick talker. Tonight, the beautiful scenery took her breath away as she was at a loss for words.

Beauxbatons had thrilled Claire the month or two she had been there. She had made friends, boyfriends, exes, not many enemies. She became interested in magizoology when she arrived at her Care of Magical Creatures class. Without Beauxbatons, Claire realized she wouldn't have fun nights like this.

<sub>Lily continued with her star-gazing, until she saw an older girl come towards her, Amanda and Claire. "Hi," Lily said. When Lily heard that the girls name was Lily, Lily smiled. "Thats my name to!" She said. The older Lily sat down between Amanda and Claire, while Lily continued her star-gazing a few yards away.

Lily found out that indeed the older Lily was in Rourie, the same house as Claire. Lily itched her eyes, she had bad hay fever and it was extremely annoying for her.

Lily asked the older Lily if she wanted to have a look in her telescope.</sub>

Lily smiled happily at the two girls. Claire and Lily, lovely names. It was always fun to meet more Lily's, especially considering, in her hometown, she had been the only one. Then, bam, when she came to Beauxbatons there were loads, maybe the French liked flowers more. They could appreciate the art of a good name, not saying that the British couldn't, because, thinking of it, they came up with some fine names. Very regal. That was one of the things Lily loved the most about British names, how regal people sounded, seeing as many were named after Kings.

"Why yes, I am a Rouerie. Rouerie prefect reporting for duty," Lily said smiling and doing a mock salute to the girl. "What houses are you guys in?" Lily asked curiously. It always frustrated her when she couldn't recognize students, but Beauxbatons was getting bigger and bigger and Lily was getting more and more involved in her studies so she was paying less attention that she did when she was a first year. She would have to get back on memorizing names and faces. It could be like a side project for her.

"You guys are first years, correct?" she inquired, "How are you guys liking Beauxbatons so far? Where were you from originally. Ugh, sorry, if feels as though I'm playing 20 questions for you guys," Lily let out a little laugh, slightly embarrassed about her curiosity. She couldn't help it if she wanted to know everything about a person, discover their mystery. Everyone had one and Lily just loved to figure it out.

[Lily Lockhart]

<sub>"What houses are you guys in?" Lily James asked. "I am in Cossu, and so is Amanda. Claire is in Rouerie." Lily replied, answering for the other girls. Lily didn't mind questions being fired at her; actually, she quite liked it.

"You guys are first years, correct?" Lily James said. "Yes, we are all in fact!" Lily replied. "How are you guys liking Beauxbatons so far? Where were you from originally. Ugh, sorry, if feels as though I'm playing 20 questions for you guys!" Lily let out a little laugh, Lily James did like asking a lot of questions! "I think Beauxbatons is amazing!" Lily replied, pulling a blade of grass from the ground. She started ripping it to pieces, then clutched it in her hand. "I am from Paris, and so was my mother. My father was from England, but he moved to France when he married my mother." Lily discarded the pieces of grass from her hand and turned to face Lily James. "What about you?" Lily asked.

The other two girls were very silent. Maybe they were wrapped up in there own thoughts. Or maybe admiring what a beautiful night it was.

[Amanda James]

A rouerie prefect named Lily had just walked up tò the girls. Hopefully she wouldn't tell on them. "Is your name Lily? Her name is Lily!" Amanda said as she pointed to her roommate. "My name is Amy" Amanda said as she shook the girl's hand.

Amy didn't say her full name just in case Lily James was gonna bust them. "I'll call you Lil" she said as she pointed to Lily McG. "And you Lee" she said to the other one.

Amy handed Lee a hocolate frog as she let out a yawn.
