Relaxing in the sun - Elizabeth Delacroix

<sub>The alarm rang at 7:00am, as Lily woke up. The sun was shining down Lily's back, and Lily decided that she would go to the lake. She changed into her blue robes and beret, and then brushed her golden hair into a plait. Getting her bag, Lily ran down to the lake.

The lake was an amazing place to hang out at the start of the day, and this is where Lily stayed when it was sunrise. Lily dug into her bag and got out a picnic blanket and her Charms homework, then set to complete it all.

As Lily finished off her homework, Lily decided that she would draw the lake. Lily put away her Charms homework and took out her Peacock Quill and newly bought Sketch book, and started drawing the circular bit of the lake.</sub>

WATCH FOR THE UNSEELIE COURT

Elizabeth hummed softly under her breath as she walked through the school. Her blonde curls swayed around her. She opened the door that lead to the grounds. She wandered around the school without any goal. Well, she had one but it took her no where in particular. She just wanted to explore these new grounds. She never stayed in a place for so long before. Usually she and the other travelers stayed at an inn for a day or two then left. It was fun though. She lost track of the many places that she has visited.

The first place that caught her eyes was a garden. What was the place called again? She recalled that Madame Maxime had told her before. The Captivating Gardens! That was the name. True to the title, the garden was enchanting. She always felt at home when it came to nature. She was fond of it. Elizabeth had more than just a green thumb for it. All it took was a touch and any withered plant would come back. She had been so afraid of this power when she was younger but she has now grown used to it. In fact, she couldn't help but admit that she likes it!

After she was done roaming around the gardens, she headed out onto the grounds again. She resumed her little humming. It looked like she was heading for the lake. She sighed. It wasn't the sigh of disappointment or sadness. It was just a knowing one. Of course, she was heading for the lake. She was a mermaid after all. Well, she was just part mermaid. She must've looked like a loon while she was walking around randomly, deep in thought. She wasn't paying much attention when she accidentally tripped on a tree root. "Ow!" she cried. She saw a girl younger than her sketching in her notebook. Elizabeth was worried that she had disturbed the girl. "I'm so sorry that I disturbed you!" she apologized worriedly.

[Lily Lockhart]

Lily finished off her sketch, and then ripped it out of her book. She would hang it up later in her dorm when she had the time. Lily slipped the masterpiece into her bag and sat in silence. Lily didn't know what to do. Suddenly, she heard a cry. "Ow!" it had squealed. Lily looked around and saw that an older Rouerie girl had tripped on a tree root. This girl then turned to Lily and said "I'm so sorry that I disturbed you!" Lily smiled. "Its ok, you didn't disturb me." This girl was a lot nicer then any of the other older girls Lily had met.

Lily passed the girl a chocolate frog and asked if she wanted to join her. Lily took out a Chocolate frog for herself, and the card had a man called Harry Potter on it. "My name is Lily McG. Whats yours?" Lily added, curious about the girl.

After finishing off her frog, Lily sat in silence. She asked the girl what she wanted to do.

She smiled. She was happy that she hadn't disturbed the young girl. "I'm glad that I didn't bother you to much!" she said cheerfully. She accepted the Chocolate Frog that the girl gave to her. She was surprised. She never met anyone who was this kind except for the people she traveled with. "Thank you," she said. She had only eaten a Chocolate Frog once before. She could still remember the day. They had traveled all the way to England to entertain the people in the village. It was a curious place. She had never seen so much magic in one place before. It was her first time performing and she was so nervous. When she opened her mouth to sing, she felt at peace. Grandmother Bernadette, the leader of their group, had bought her the frog as a reward for her good performance.

Elizabeth opened it and saw the frog. It looked almost too pretty to eat. She decided to savor the treat and ate it slowly. She glanced at the card. She had gotten Merlin. She had read a bit about him before. He was one of the most powerful wizards of all time. The girl then introduced herself. So, her name was Lily. That was a pretty name. "I'm Elizabeth Delacroix," she said in return. She wondered what house Lily was in. "What house are you in?" she asked curiously. She brushed a strand of her blonde hair out of her face. Then, Lily asked her what they should do.

A nervous feeling began to eat at her. She didn't know what people did for free time. She never had free time before. She was usually busy performing or taking care of the younger kids. She blushed. "I-I'm sorry. I'm not really sure about what people do when they have a free period," she stammered out. Her face was completely flushed. Elizabeth was so embarrassed. She braced herself for any mockery that proceeded.

<sub>"I'm glad that I didn't bother you to much!" The girl had said, accepting a chocolate frog from Lily. When Lily asked what the girls name was, she answered "I'm Elizabeth Delacroix." "Nice name." Lily added, having her second chocolate frog and savouring every bite. Elizabeth asked Lily what house she was in. "I am in Cossu." Lily answered. "What house are you in?" Lily added.

When Lily asked Elizabeth what did she want to do, Lily saw that Elizabeth had slightly blushed. "I-I'm sorry. I'm not really sure about what people do when they have a free period." Lily smiled."Me neither, I am usually up in my dorm reading or doing homework." Lily said.

After a while, Lily had an idea. "Do you want to play Exploding Snap?" Lily asked.</sub>
