Behind the circle of desks that surround the Professor's desk is a wooden door that leads to Professor Jennings office. There is a golden name plate at eye level that shines when the light hits it jsut right that reads:
Professor Serafina Jennings
Muggle Studies
With a soft knock, the door opens to to a spacious room. The low purr of a cat can be heard along with the hoot! of the solid black owl you see in the floor length cage in the far corner. That owl has been in the professor's possession since her school days at Hogwarts. As you let your eyes wander you will see a long dark, deep brown desk by the back wall that has papers neatly stacked on one corner. Directly behind the desk is a wall lined with bookshelves, if there is one thing you should know about your dear professor is that she loves to read. Titles of some of the books you will find include The Great Gatsby and To Kill A Mockingbird plus all of Shakespeare and Jane Austen
The walls that surround the room are covered with posters from the Muggle world and Wizarding World. There is a good chance you ask her about them and she will sit you down and explain where each one came from, so make sure you have plenty of time on your hands. Underneath the posters, the walls are light brown and there is a plush maroon carpet on the floor that almost feels like walking on clouds. To the immediate right of the door is a sign that reads: Please remove shoes. This is an important rule of Professor Jennings office, so obide.
To the left of her desk something seems to sway in an unfelt wind. As you move closer you see it is a sheet like material. You reach to touch it and it feels hard and doesn't move yet is still "blowing". That is the entrance to her personal storage where she keeps all of her items, both magical and non-magical. Only she can open and enter this area. You give up and turn around and notice two plush chairs that are located at the ends of a couch with light brown table in between the three pieces of furniture. There are snacks from both worlds on top. The professor loves to introduce new Muggle things to her students.
As you turn to leave, on the last wall is a oversized fire place, due to the Professor always being cold. A roaring fire warms the inside of the room and makes you feel cozy and happy. On either side of the opening are shelves with pictures of herself and family, friends, previous students. The professor does enjoy taking pictures, so remember that the next time you stop by to ask a question or two, learn about something new, or simply stop in for a sweet and brew.
