Rachele allowed herself to be pulled close to Mathew. Honestly, she'd be lying if she said she didn't enjoy it; being nestled close to him was one of her favorite places. He made her feel safe which was something that was incredibly important to her. Plus, the contrast between their body temperatures always made for interesting sensations. Besides, they had spent so much time away from one another that being close now was something she hungered for. The next she felt was the pressure from his finger and his hand. Then, she felt herself being swept into one of the indescribable kisses she had ever felt. She could feel Mathew smiling against her lips, and she knew that she was doing the same. Her lips sank softly into his, and that was all she knew.
When he pulled away, she found herself clinging gently to his lips until she had to let go. She didn't want it to end, but she tried to remind herself that she could now kiss him whenever she wanted which was a rather pleasant thought. The frown, however, worried her slightly though that worry lessened a little when he said what he was thinking. "Well part of what we have to tell Kabriel shouldn't be bad right? If anything she'll probably just say finally about us being in a relationship." She gave a slight laugh as she spoke. Kabriel had been waiting some time for the two of them to get together, and Rachele knew that she would be extremely excited about the two finally making it official. Of course, she wouldn't be the only one. She felt pretty sure that many of their friends had just been waiting for it.
However, she knew that the relationship was not the only thing that they would have to tell Kabriel. Both of them had a secret. Though Rachele was open about hers if people asked, she did not go around broadcasting it, and she knew that not many knew about it. "Think we're going to be putting too much on her?" she asked. "I was thinking that I should probably tell her about me. Do you think it will be a problem?" Rachele started twisting her hair around her finger out of nerves. She knew that Mathew accepted her for who she was, but she knew that vampires weren't always accepted everywhere. She did trust Mathew's family, but she didn't want to surprise Kabriel with too many things at once.
That was when she remembered her own family. She was nervous about what might happen when she told her grandmother about Mathew. Who knew if she would let Rachele back out of the house? Then again, maybe with Mathew, she wouldn't have to go back there. For a moment, she simply looked up at Mathew as she tried to get her thoughts straight in her head before voicing them. "Mathew, I don't know that my grandmother would take us being a couple well if I tell her alone. You know how she is." She paused for a moment and looked down at her feet. "So, I was wondering if you would come with me. It will be harder for her to mess with me if someone else is there. She is all about appearances after all." Really, she wished that she didn't have to go back there again, but that might be too much to ask. Unsure of what to do or say next, she reached up and gave Mathew a gentle kiss on the cheek. Yes, she definitely felt more safe with him around.
