WHAT'S MEANT TO BE WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY
Finally, the class was over! She swore that she could've died from boredom if it had ended a minute later. She packed her things into her messenger bag and shrugged it on. She quickly followed suit with the flood of students. She went down the steps to the Sournois dorms. She opened the door to her own. She set her bag onto her bed and changed out of her uniform. She glanced at the clock in her room and saw that it wasn't evening yet. She grabbed her bag again and left the castle. She wasn't in the mood to be in a stuffy dorm room. She sat down under the shade of a tree. The afternoon air was cool against her skin as she did her homework. She bent her head down as she continued to work. Her concentration was pretty much lost. She couldn't focus on the task at hand.
She ran a hand through her dark brown hair. The prediction from Divination didn't scare her but it bothered her. So many questions filled her head. She kept wondering what she type of trouble she was going to be in. All types of theories just kept popping into head. She brushed it off. Some of them were just impossible. All she needed to do now was keep calm and carry on. Noir pushed back a strand of her dark hair behind her ear and began to work on her homework again. A wry smile crossed her lips when she saw her Divination homework. It was a list of questions about their opinions about the class and their predictions. The professor must'be been a bloody loon. Did she really want to know what Noir's opinion about the class? She put the parchment aside. She would be leaving that for last.
Noir finished her other homework. She picked up the Divination worksheet gingerly. She tapped the feather of her quill on the paper. She was considering what to write. She couldn't possibly write what she actually thought. She'd get detention if she did so. Noir bit her lip as she thought. She could always tell a white lie. It actually wouldn't be a lie. She wasn't going to put in the bad opinions. She could just say that the class was informative and interesting. That seemed fine enough. She wrote down her answers quickly. She signed her name on the bottom and put the worksheet away. She glanced at the small pocket watch that she always kept with her. It was one of the only salvageable items left from the fire.
It looked like she had some time left before she needed to go back in. She pulled out a book from her messenger bag. It was called Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz. She had bought the book the last time she went to The Book Nook. Normally, she wouldn't have read anything that came from the Muggle world since it was drilled into her to not do so. She had to make an exception for this book because it seemed really interesting. She flipped to the page where she left her bookmark. She was so engrossed in the book that she didn't hear footsteps approaching her. TAG: OPEN│OUTFIT: HERE │NOTES: template by eliza @ shadowplay

Amanda was disappointed. Her divination class just had to end. It was fun and Amanda had really learned a lot from it. Amanda had finished all of her homework already. Even the paper assigned ten minutes ago. Now Amanda needed a place to relax.
She couldn't go to the common room. It was always too noisy up there. She couldn't go to the towers, it was way too windy today to be 600 feet in the air. Perhaps she could go under the oak tree by the lake. It was always very peaceful and relaxing over there.
As Amanda made her way to the oak tree, she saw her divination class mate Rosabella Noir Beaumont. She was reading The Wizard of Oz. "Hello Noir!" Amanda said cheerfully.

WHAT'S MEANT TO BE WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY She was just at the part where an earthquake occurred, sending Dorothy and her friends to the land of the Mangaboos. She read as the Mangaboos accused the company of causing the "Rain of Stones" which was the earthquake. Just as Dorothy and her gang were about to be given a death sentence, the Wizard of Oz came to their rescue. She was interrupted by the sound of a voice. She looked up to see the source of it. It was from Amanda Jakobs, her Divination classmate. She was greeting Noir. The brunette turned her head back to her reading. It was best to ignore the young Cossu. Noir wasn't particularly fond of her or her friend, Lily McG.
Sure, she knew it was rude but there wasn't really point in her talking to the girl. Her eyes scanned the page before her. Her hands flew to the edge of the page and turned it. All the while, she knew that Amanda was still there. If she kept quiet and ignored her, Amanda might go away. She had a certain dislike for the young girl. It was partially from the look of pity in her eyes when she saw her in Divination. Another might be that she seemed quite happy that she got a better grade than Noir. She looked down at the pocket watch. Only a couple minuted had passed since the time that she started reading the book.
As she read, she thought about the characters. They all had some quirks. L. Frank Baum really knew how to make a weird character. The only thing that annoyed her were the witches and wizards. They can't melt. That was practically impossible. Witches were humans too. Well, they had magic but they were still human like everyone else. The whole thing was absolutely ridiculous. A nice cup of green tea; what was a better way to start your morning? Well, it wasn’t exactly morning though. It was actually past 12.40pm, but she had only woken up thirty minutes ago. Jet lag indeed sucked. She had a special permission to skip classes today in order to get accustomed properly. Travelling from South Korea to France had been exceptionally tiring, especially because some random witch whose name she didn’t even know of had come with her all the way in order to check she would arrive to the right place. Or rather that she wouldn’t run away somewhere. She hadn’t even thought about such a thing! Ok, maybe for a moment when she had first heard about having to go to Beauxbatons, but then she had decided that it could actually be a great opportunity to get away from her parents. She did miss her older brother Aarón though.
Other students were still in their classes which why the halls were all empty and it was peacefully quiet all around the palace. She enjoyed that. Still she decided to head outside, because she felt like she needed some fresh air in order to clear her mind plus she also wanted to get used to the place and explore a bit. Nearby the lake she noticed a huge oak tree that in some odd way fascinated her, perhaps because she hadn’t seen such a big tree ever before. She bit her lower lip before starting to climb up the tree, having a bit difficult at first, but luckily she had been kind of a monkey ever since a kid, so in the end she got up with ease. She didn’t go right to the top; that would be too dangerous. But she was enough high, so that it was hard to spot her from there.
For a moment she shuffled her tarot cards while laying on one of the wider branches before she started to feel a bit sleepy. Now, taking a nap high up on a branch really wasn’t safe, but at that moment she couldn’t care less. She was feeling sleepy. She knew she really shouldn’t though, because she possibly wouldn’t be able to get any sleep at night if she now took a nap, but her eyes just closed. She didn’t have any strength to keep them open. And so she fell quickly asleep.
But only for about fifteen minutes, because she woke up when she heard someone walking over to the tree and sitting down underneath it. Aria stayed still, not bothering to check who it was, because she wasn’t really in a social mood. She could hear that someone turning a page of a book every now and then and that did make her wonder about what the person was reading, but still… curiosity didn’t get the best of her; she stayed still and quiet.
Soon enough she heard yet another footsteps though which paused pretty much next to the other person and she heard the newcomer say “Hello Noir!” in a quite cheerful tone, although this other person (named Noir she figured) didn’t reply back at all, but rather kept reading the book she assumed. A smirk appeared upon Aria’s face before she shifted to sit upon the branch and looked down at her tarot cards. She picked one of them, the death card, before throwing it on the newcomer’s face and only after that she climbed a few branches downwards before finally jumping, so that she was back on the ground. “Oops. Sorry about that card. I wonder what it might bring to you, though?” She then picked the card from the ground and showed it to the girl who was at least a few years younger than her. “Death, huh? That’s awfully bad luck.” She tilted her head and pouted, pretending to look upset. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ clothes: click<3 tag: noir&amanda&open

Amanda looked again at Noir who seemed to be ignoring her. Why would she do that? Amanda had never done anything to Noir! Or perhaps I was Lily? Yes, that was probably it. Noir and Lily McG had never really gotten along with each other.
"Are you reading the Wizard of Oz?" Amanda asked as she noticed the book Noir was reading. "I read it recently and really enjoyed it." Amanda added recalling the time when she read the book.
Amanda decided that it was quiet and very peaceful down there. Perhaps she could read her book? It was a really good book and she wanted badly to get farther on it. It was called "The Hunger Games".
But then Amanda felt a card land on the back of her neck. She turned around and looked at the tree. On it, there was a girl who appeared to be Noir's age, climbing down onto the ground.
“Oops. Sorry about that card. I wonder what it might bring to you, though?” the girl had said to Amy. She then picked the card from the ground and showed it to Amanda. “Death, huh? That’s awfully bad luck.” She tilted her head and pouted, obviously pretending to look upset. Amanda rolled her eyes and continued to read.

WHAT'S MEANT TO BE WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY She sat there reading her book, obviously still ignoring the young Cossu beside her. Again, she was interrupted by Amanda. Ignoring her was probably futile. She should probably try a different tactic. Being rude to her might make her leave. "No," she said simply. She was quite sure that the story the girl was thinking of was actually The Wonderful Wizard of Oz or The Wizard of Oz as it was often known as. That was the one where Dorothy and her dog, Toto got caught in a cyclone. It was also the one where the Wicked Witch of the West melted away. "What I'm reading is Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz," she stated. "It's an entirely different book," Noir informed the girl coldly. She heard a rustle in the tree but it was probably the breeze against the branches. She turned back to her book and began to read it.
It was silent again. She figured that Amanda was done with bothering her. That was what she hoped. She looked up from her book, just in time to see a card flutter down from the tree and land on Amanda. Noir looked up to see a girl jump down from a tree. She raised an eyebrow. Great! There was more people. It didn't look like there was going to be any peace around this place any longer. She'd leave but she didn't want to until Amanda did. She didn't want to look as if she was afraid of some little girl. She shut her book and leaned back against the tree. Maybe, the exchange between the two people was going to be interesting. At least, she would have some entertainment.
She watched as the girl picked up the card. It was a tarot card. Noir didn't live with a conman without picking anything up. She knew that the girl probably just picked the card out and threw it at the younger child. She looked on as the stranger pick up the card and show it to Amanda. She saw that it was the card that represented death. She was sincerely hoping that Amanda might actually believe the stranger and get scared. It was too good to be true. The young Cossu just rolled her eyes. She clearly saw through the act. An idea popped into her mind. Two can play this game. If she backed the idea up, maybe the young girl could finally leave. Then, the two teenagers could part ways and not talk to each other again.
It was time to play the Seeress card. She didn't really have any trouble with revealing that she was a Seer. Noir placed a hand on Amanda's arm. She was going to have to boil her hand later. "You know, I'm quite sure the girl is correct," she said. She pointed to the card. "There is such thing as fate. That card didn't just land on you. If I'm not mistaken, it's a sign," she said, the words flowing out of her easily. Lying was always easy for her. "Perhaps, it is a sign that you may die soon," she said thoughtfully. As Amanda started reading the book, she felt a cold hand on her arm. She looked up to see that it was Noir! Amanda had expected it to be the other girl. Amanda folded her arms and listened. It was obvious that Noir had something she would like to say.
"You know, I'm quite sure the girl is correct," Noir said as she pointed to the card. "There is such thing as fate. That card didn't just land on you. If I'm not mistaken, it's a sign.Perhaps, it is a sign that you may die soon," she said thoughtfully.
Amanda rolled her eyes. Noir was obviously just trying to get Amanda to leave. Well it wasn't gonna happen. This tree was the most peaceful place in the school and it didn't it any way belong to Ms. Fancy Seer Beaumont.
"Actually, if I'm not mistaken, it's you who's going to die soon" Amanda said as she remembered what Noir's prediction in class earlier had been. "And if you two don't mind, I'm going to read my book now!" Amanda added as she sat down and rolled her eyes. Maybe now she could have some reading get done!

WHAT'S MEANT TO BE WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY Her hope died away again. The young Cossu was not going to leave anytime soon. She wondered what other way to approach the matter. Noir pulled her arm back as the girl rolled her eyes. She was going to have to remind herself to cut her hand off. It had touch some bratty child. She pushed back a strand of her hair as Amanda began speaking. Now, it Noir's turn to roll her eyes. She tilted her head to the side, challenging Amanda to say something about her next words. "Perhaps," she said thoughtfully. She tapped her finger on her chin. "Dying may just be good for me. I wouldn't have to see you," she said, her voice having a false cheery tone. She paused and laid a hand under her head as leaned back again, She looked at Amanda clearly in her eyes. "I don't plan on dying anytime soon no matter what our great professor told me," she said, a smirk on her face. It was obvious how she used sarcasm.
She lived for moments like this. She didn't care if the girl ran off to tell Professor Smith. She was starting to get exceedingly annoying. Noir was willing to lose a couple of points just to get this girl to leave. She raised one elegant eyebrow. "If I'm not mistaken, you were the one who interrupted my reading," she said, adopting Amanda's tone when she repeated her prediction. It was the truth. She had been reading alone and peacefully. Well, she wasn't really alone since there was that girl in a tree. Aside from that fact, she was interrupted by Amanda's annoyingly cheerful greeting. Sure, she ignored her but that didn't change the fact that the young Cossu was bothersome. She looked up at the branches of the tree. An idea popped into her mind. She looked over at the other girl.
Noir did owe her a warning. She stood up from her spot, grabbed her bag, and walked over to her. She was lucky that the stranger was out of earshot from Amanda. "You might want to move away from the tree," she whispered for only the girl to hear. She reached into her pocket and pulled put her wand. She used a non-verbal spell that knocked enough leaves off the tree that they fluttered down to cover the young Cossu girl. It was a little ahead of her Beauxbatons years but she had attended Hogwarts before this so she knew how to use non-verbal spells already. She gave a fake cheerful smile. "Why should you have some reading time without any disturbances?" she asked innocently.

Amanda was reading her book happily. She was at a really good part. Right now, Amanda was at the part when Peeta Mellark confessed his love for Katniss Everdeen in front of the whole country.
The amazing book world of the hunger games had come to an immediate halt when Amanda felt a bunch of leaves fall on her. It was obviously Noir's splendid idea to do this. But Amanda was a Cossu and a Jakobs and she wasn't going to let a Sournois get the better of her.
"That is really comfortable Noir, thank you!" she said, smiling at Noir. Amanda then looked back at her book and continued reading.

Seeing that Amanda only rolled her eyes at her amused her greatly. No, she didn’t feel disappointed at all. It was as if Amanda had just copied what Noir ha done to her; ignore. Just a moment ago Noir had ignored Amanda, so Amanda was now copying that example. Pathetic. She just smirked, knowing that the little girl knew that she was just messing with her. At least the kid wasn’t stupid, because that would have been way boring. And boy did she hate boring people. In all honesty she would have felt extremely disappointed if the kiddo would have screamed and ran away scared while crying. It hadn’t been a too big of a trick anyway, her throwing the card. Only a real loser would have fallen for that. Or a muggle.
It seemed that she wasn’t alone in this though, because the other girl, same as her age, also joined her in the trick. And this girl played it all quite well actually. Touching the other one gently, talking about fate and signs… she wasn’t new to this. That made her really curious about her and she felt like she might have met someone really interesting, and she really hadn’t expected to meet anyone who would point out to her in Beauxbatons. She had been sure everyone in here would be boring French people. Luckily she had thought wrong. Maybe coming to Beauxbatons hadn’t been so bad after all.
Sadly the kid didn’t believe this Noir girl’s words either, but just rolled her eyes again like a teenager who had just been told to do something by their parent, although the girl was only about eleven or twelve years old. Her eyes had kept on the kid until she mentioned about Noir’s prediction and how their professor had told her that she was going to die. Her eyes moved to check on Noir’s reaction, who seemed surprisingly calm about it. Was it true? Had their professor made such a prediction? It seemed so, because Noir replied to the brat, but she seemed really calm about it and the way she replied to the kid made Aria smirk a bit again, although she tried her best to hide it and just pursed her lips tightly together and looked back at her fellow Cossu.
Ah, how glad she was that her day had turned into much amusing one that what she had thought. She wasn’t feeling tired the slightest anymore either! From things like these she gained a lot more energy. And confidence. Even just by watching something like this happen. Maybe that made her a bad person, but… well, she couldn’t care less. She couldn’t care less about anything anymore. Nothing mattered after her little sister had died. This is what made life worth living now.
It really was a bit ridiculous for someone to ask others stop bothering her reading when she had just bothered someone else’s reading a moment ago. She bit her lower lip for a moment in order to stop herself from saying anything. Not yet. She enjoyed watching this. Noir got up then though and looked directly at her which why Aria raised an eyebrow before the Sournois female whispered for her maybe wanting to move away a bit to which she nodded and wondered what was going on. She had noticed that Noir had looked up into the tree just a bit before. Aria moved away under the tree and then watched the magi c to happen; leaves pouring down all over the Cossu kid and her book. Aria snorted loudly, covering her mouth quickly with her hand afterwards and listened as Noir talked to the other girl again, mentioned why she should be able to read without any disturbance either. Oh, but the brat pretended like she didn’t care and thanked instead. “Kids these days…” She shook her head. “They’ve got no manners at all. Her parents must be really proud.” She talked to Noir and knew the kid was able to hear her too, but she pretended like she wasn’t even there. “Parents don’t care about their kids enough anymore. They don’t teach them not to interrupt others and not to bully them about what’s been said to them at a class… It’s quite awful.” She acted like she was extremely worried and let out a heavy sigh. “And these kids are supposed to take care of things in the future. World is really coming to an end, isn’t it?” She kept her eyes on the kid all the time she talked until now that she turned to look at Noir with a slight smile upon her lips and said, “I’m Aria, by the way. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

WHAT'S MEANT TO BE WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY
An average person would have wanted to go to the child and drag her away but Noir wasn't an average person. She was a Beaumont. She wasn't going to let a bratty child get the best of her. It would've been nice if Amanda had gone quietly but this would probably provide for some amusement. She was up for a challenge. A smirk was placed on her lips. She tilted her head in that childlike way. "I'm so happy that I could make you feel comfortable," she said cheerfully, a bright smile lighting up her face.
Possible ways to annoy the girl ran through her mind but they were all too harsh. There was the Tempest Jinx which she could use to blow away the leaves away and ruffle the pages of the book. Unfortunately, it was named Tempest for a reason. It would create large gusts of wind that could literally blow the girl away. There had to be an easier way to bug the girl. She didn't want her to cry. Now, that was low. She would never make someone cry unless the person had done something terrible to her. Only then would her true anger show. Otherwise, it was hard to make Noir furious. Annoyance was easy but years of tolerating her brother had helped her. She now knew what to do. She would use the Summoning Charm to take the book out of Amanda's hands. She now had a trick up her sleeve. She caught sight of the book the girl was holding. It was called The Hunger Games. She quickly darted her eyes back to Amanda, making sure she wasn't watching her. In her mind, she recited the spell. In no time, the book was in her hands. She tapped her wand on the book.
No one was able to Summon the book now. Well, unless she took the enchantment away. It was a spell that she had come across while she was in the library at her old school. The spell was quite useful. She had enchanted her important objects so no one would be able to Summon them. Noir pocketed her wand and held the book up. "How will you read your book now?" she asked innocently. She looked over at the other girl who spoke to her. She nodded. "I suppose you're right, she agreed. "Perhaps, she doesn't have parents but she was raised by wolves?" Noir suggested. She followed the stranger's eyes and looked at Amanda. She gave a sigh. "This school has some rather unruly children," she drawled. "The kids at my old school weren't like this. They practically idolized the older students but I guess some brats can add a bit of diversity," she contemplated. She turned back to the stranger again. "Likewise," she said before continuing. "I'm Noir Beaumont," she introduced herself, using her middle name instead of first. She needed that name to stay under wraps. She also wasn't fond of the name. “Kids these days…” Amanda heard the girl say. She this was not gonna be a quick speech. “They’ve got no manners at all. Her parents must be really proud.”
“Parents don’t care about their kids enough anymore. They don’t teach them not to interrupt others and not to bully them about what’s been said to them at a class… It’s quite awful.” Amanda found this quite amusing. If anyone was bullying anyone, it was Noir and the other one.
“And these kids are supposed to take care of things in the future. World is really coming to an end, isn’t it?” The girl added as Amanda rolled her eyes yet again. Her eyes were beginning to hurt from all that rolling. These teenagers were reqlly being annouing. Was this even possible? Apparently so.
"I'm so happy that I could make you feel comfortable," Noir had said cheerfully, a bright smile lighting up her face. Amanda then felt the book escape from her hand and into those of Noir. Amanda smiled. The girl had used a summoning charm. Amanda was prepared for things like this.
She reached into her duffel bag and pulled out her second copy of the hunger games. She always took two copies of a book when she went places. Just in case something happened to one. Amanda opened the book and began to read the fascinating book.

Lily breathed in the sweet, warm air as she exited the doors of the Beuaxbatons castle. It was a glorious day, and Lily couldn't be bothered to change from her Sapphire blue robes and her lighter, blue beret. She tripped slightly at the weight of her brown coloured messenger bag, Lily carried many things in there, including her sweets, homework and many more weird and wonderful things. She was quite odd, but to anyone who knew her well, she was quirky and outgoing. In herself, Lily knew that she was a person that stood out from the crowd.
Lily walked towards the lake, her golden blonde hair blowing gently from the wind. She was unaware that a heated argument was happening below, for she was to wrapped up in her thoughts to care. Lily wondered why she had so few friends, maybe it was because it was all about the 'cool' kids, and Lily was singled out. She has been quite lonely lately, but Lily found she got on better with the younger ones, as they were quite fun to be around with.
As Lily entered the area of the lake, she saw three people. Noir, a girl Lily wasn't that keen on after there meeting in the unused classroom, then there was Amanda, Lily's best friend and dorm mate, and a girl Lily had never met before. "Hello," Lily greeted them all, taking a seat next to Amanda.

"Hello," Amanda heard a voice say. She looked to see that it was her best friend and room mate, Lily Lockhart. Finally, someone she could get along with! Lily had always been a great friend to Amanda, despite their three year age difference. Amanda looked up at Lily who was at least two heads taller than her.
"Hello, Lily" Amanda said calmly smiling at her friend. "I think you would agree, these two girls are being rather bothersome" she added closing her book. She was glad to see Lily, although SW didn't forget about Noir and the other girl.
But Amanda was glad. Lily always showed up at the perfect time. Because of this, Amanda rarely was left alone with mean teenagers. It was at times like this, when Amanda was truly grateful for her friendship. Amanda continued to smile.
