It was a cloudy summer day and thus it was not so warm, not that it was cold either though. The weather was actually quite convenient for exercising outside. And indeed, from her dorm room’s window she could see bunch of girls and boys playing soccer outside while some were cheering for their favorite team. She hadn’t known that this many people even knew about soccer; they were witches and wizards after all. Either they were muggle-born or were fascinated by muggles or had grown up surrounded by muggles. Either way watching them somehow made her feel quite comfortable. Her family had lived in a muggle city (Busan), although she had gone to a witchcraft school. And so had her parents and her brother. But yes, they pretended to be muggles. It was mostly because of her mother’s job as an accountant in a muggle bank.
The young Cossu caressed gently the right page of the manga (Samurai Deeper Kyo manga to be exact) she was holding before placing her self-made dragon bookmark between the pages and closing the book quietly. Her lips were pursed as she stared at the cover of the manga for a moment while looking quite thoughtful, but after a few minutes had passed she decided to stand up and threw the book upon her bed. Her nose wrinkled then as she thought about how much it sucked when no electronic devices worked in Beauxbatons. Back at home she would always take her cell phone with her, put earplugs on and put some music from her cell blasting before going for a run in the early morning. Even now she had her cell phone with her. It was in her luggage. But of course it didn’t work, but she had had to at least give it a try. Running while listening to music… Was there anything better than that?
Oh well, she would just have to go for a good old regular run then. After changing her clothes she left behind her dorm room as well as the Cossu common room (after giving a fake smile to a small group of students who had noticed she was new) and then headed outside of the palace, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. Yeah, it was somewhat warm outside, but luckily it wasn’t sunny so it wouldn’t get hot at least. After stretching her arms and legs a bit she first started to walk fast before it turned into jogging and finally into running. This was a great feeling. She felt free.
After running (and at times just jogging) for about 40 minutes she suddenly realized that she actually had no idea where she was. She had been so deep in her thoughts during her running that she had forgotten to check any signs and make sure she would know the route back. Well, it was too late now. She stopped, breathing heavily and pressing her hands against her thighs while looking around her surroundings in order to find at least something from which she would know where she was. She didn’t even have her wand with her, so she couldn’t make a spell to find her way back. Well this sucked!
“Damnit…” She mumbled under her breathe before feeling a drop on her cheek, then on her hand and on her forehead too. “Well isn’t this a blast?” She groaned sarcastically, quickly looking around again before noticing a big tree and running under it. It would cover her from the train at least a bit. Quite well actually. The tree was huge. The rain started pouring, so she let out a sigh and sat down underneath the branches while trying to figure out how in earth she would find her way back to the palace. She could always ask help from the spirits, but that would take way too much energy. She wasn’t even sure how far away from the palace she was, because she had been running for so long. She pouted, pulling her knees against her chest and wrapping her arms around her legs while watching the rain quietly. She felt like she already hated this whole place.
