It was nearly evening, as Victoria exited her Robe Outlet. She flipped over a sign the hung upon the door, from 'Open' to 'Closed'. Victoria had finished for the day, but business was rather bad. Only a couple of adults had strolled into the shop that day, just to buy some hats for the beach, what with the nice weather and everything. But every evening, after the store had closed, Victoria would walk her standard poodle puppy, Pepsi. Victoria had only bought Pepsi a couple of weeks ago, but Pepsi has been great. Victoria had managed to teach her sit and paw, but thats about it. Pepsi was right by Victoria's heels as she walked to Joli park, with the evening's sun burning on her neck.
As Victoria entered Joli Park, she noticed the same willow tree blowing gently in the summers breeze. The park was deserted, so Victoria took a seat on one of the wooden benches. Pepsi automatically jumped on Victoria's lap as usual, and shut her delicate eyes as Victoria gently pat her. Victoria's red hair was loose this time, as usually she would tie it up in a pony tail. She was wearing a stunning white dress with tiny sequins sewn on it. Victoria wore a simple necklace with an owl on it, which her mother had made her before she died... Victoria had no family left, as her mother and father were both dead. Her mother died one evening while getting the shopping, which was only about a couple of months ago now. She was killed by some wizards on the street, with the killing curse. She was notified of this by the Ministry of Magic, and Victoria was devastated. Her father died of a broken heart after her mother died, and he died about a month ago now? Less? Victoria felt so sad thinking about her family, like a heavy weight was thrown on her shoulders full of the past she had with them. But Victoria wouldn't cry, she had cried over this for weeks and weeks. She needed to be brave, or at least show a brave face. Pepsi looked up at Victoria knowingly, like she sensed that there was something wrong. Victoria smiled weakly at her pet, but she then saw a shadow over her and Pepsi. Victoria jerked her head around to see who it was.
