Amanda was exited. Today was the first annual Beauxbatons camping trip. Amanda would be therefore camping with some of her friends. Unfortunately, her best friend Lily Lockhart would be in Tent 3. Amanda was going to be in tent 7. She knew that some of her other friends would be attending. She just didn't know which tent they would be in. She reached the campsite and looked at the eight tents. Near the end was tent 7, Veritaserum. No one was there yet, so Amanda stepped inside. She turned on her lantern so that she could see the room better. It was a lot larger than it appeared on the the outside. Amanda looked again at the outside. There was a poster with the names of all who would be sleeping in there. There was of course, her name on the list. There was Rachele Mistrot, whom she didn't know, Arianna Leon, whom Amanda hated most deeply, Beth Spencer, whom Amanda vaguely remembered from classes, and one more name. Euphemie Perreault, it said. Amanda had met Euphemie very recently. The girls both had veela blood and had gotten along quite nicely. It would be good to see her. Amanda went back into the tent and unpacked her sleeping bag. She sat down on it with her book in her hand. Words: 220 Notes: Veritaserum

Euphémie was positively excited. The day of the camping trip had finally arrived. She had never been on a camping trip before so she was looking forward to the one Beauxbatons was hosting. She bent down to double-check her things. When she first heard about the camping trip, she immediately went to ask her roommates to see if they knew anything about camping. She rummaged through her bag to see if she had her sketchbook. She did. It was probably ridiculous to bring a sketchbook when she was going camping but she never knew when she was going to get an opportunity to draw. She just wanted to be ready. She bit her lip when she looked at her bag one last time. Was she bringing too many things? Deciding that she hadn't, she slung the bag over her shoulders and headed out.
She quickly joined the groups of students going towards the campsite. She listened as the other girls chattered on about various things. Euphémie didn't try to join in any of the conversations. She just merely stood in the crowd. Finally, the campsite came within view. The first thing she did was head towards the tents. She remembered hearing that she was assigned to the seventh tent. Euphémie headed there quickly, wishing to dispose of her bag. She finally found the tent that she was to stay in. She smiled when she saw who was standing in front of it. It was her new friend, Amanda. "Hey, Amanda!" she greeted. She was afraid that she would end up in a tent with complete strangers. Then again, Amanda was the only person that she knew besides her roommates.
"Hold on, I have to put this bag down. It's starting to get really heavy," she said, entering the tent. She picked out a cot and placed her bag on it. She went outside again and noticed that Amanda was staring at something. Euphémie went up for a better look. It was a list of people who were staying in the tent. Again, they were people that she didn't know. "Amanda, do you know any of these girls?" she asked, deciding to see if her friend knew any of them.

Amanda finished another chapter in her book. From the distance she could hear a crowd of students nearing the campsite. But they were quite a while away. Amanda decided to go back outside and wait for some people to show up. Perhaps she would see her friend Lily before she had to leave for tent 3. So Amanda slipped on her shoes and went out side. The crowd was splitting up and leaving for their tents. Amanda didn't see Lily anywhere, so she sat on the grass in front of her tent. Where was everyone in Veritaserum? She was kind of hoping Arianna wouldn't show up, but she would love to see the other three. Amanda and Arianna had never gotten along. They met a few weeks ago by the lake. Amanda had been reading her book, when Arianna had decided to climb a tree and throw a tarot card on Amanda. It said Death on it. Then Arianna and a girl called Noir had decided to tell Amanda that she was going to die soon. They assumed that because Amanda was a little girl and they were Seers, Amanda would believe it. But she didn't. Amanda just reminded them that in Charms, Noir's palm reading said that she was going to have an abnormally short life. "Hey, Amanda!" she heard a voice say behind her. She turned around and saw who it was. It was Euphemie Perreault! Amanda smiled and waved at her friend that she had only met a few days ago. Amanda looked at the list again. Rachele and Beth had yet to arrive. "Amanda, do you know any of these girls?" Euphemie asked. Amanda nodded. "I vaguely remember Beth from my Charms class, and I would prefer if Arianna was staying in another tent" she replied as she remembered Arianna with disgust. Words: 306

Beth had made her way to the peaks with the rest of the students, her pack secured neatly on her shoulder as she walked. Speaking with others had been easy enough, but surrounded by all these students Beth was beginning to realize how few people she had actually come to know at this school. All of her time had been spent immersed in the auditorium or in the company of a few individuals – limited mostly to her brother and Colton. The fact that she’d spent her in such small company was entirely unlike her and while she didn’t regret a moment of it she was looking forward to the opportunity to meet some of the other students. Colton would be here as well, she was certain he was a chaperone, but she wasn’t going to risk getting him into any trouble so she might enjoy his company.
As they arrived she shifted her mustard yellow beanie atop her head, eyes scanning the tents for the one which she belonged to. Veritaserum, it was called. She meandered slowly through the tents, passing with quick greetings until finally she sound her own. With a smile forming on her bright features, she tossed her mahogany locks over her shoulder and pushed the tent flaps aside. She’d heard other voices from outside, so wasn’t surprised when she was met with the image of two girls. One looked about her age, with striking dark hair. This girl was unfamiliar, but the other one, whom was younger Beth had met before. They were in charms class together.
Dropping her back onto the bed, she smoothed her hands over her jeans as she turned to greet the other girls a large smile on her face. Amanda, right? She said questioningly. Beth was pretty sure that was her name, but she’d take necessary precautions. And I don’t think we’ve ever met, but I’m Beth. She said, her voice giddy as she turned to the other girl. So we might as well make this place comfortable, it’ll be home for a few weeks. It’s a bit shabby, perhaps some decorations are in order.

" Amanda, right?" Amanda hears a voice say to her. It sounded a bit familiar. Amanda turned around and saw a tall figure smiled at. She smiled and nodded at the girl she vaguely remembered to be Beth Spencer. Beth had then walked over to the cot where Euphemie was sitting. The girls started smiling and laughing. Amanda smiled. She remembered Euphemie telling her a few days should the she was her only friend. They were four years apart! Amanda friend to imagine what it would be if her only friend was an eight year old. It was difficult to imagine. Beth and Euphemie were about the same age, so they would probably become good friends. Sometimes Amanda tried to imagine what it would be like if most students at Beauxbatons were her age. It was hard to picture! Ted only person her age Amanda knew was her friend and roommate Alice Edevane. She didn't think there were any eleven year olds at the school. Amanda started to unpack her things onto her cot.
