A hesitant sigh graced her lips as she pulled the lengths of her raven hair into a ponytail. Rosalind wanted to go on this camping trip no more than she wanted to be attending this school, but it seemed as though fate had its own determinate path for her. For so long she had been content in her lifestyle, perhaps even happy, or at least the closest thing she’d been to it since her change. Happiness had stopped being a determining factor in her life a long time ago. Hunger, was and had been the only thing that had led her anywhere for centuries. Turning her eyes back to the mirror, a smirk crossed her features. Her softly framed face was the face of a cold-blooded killer, nothing could mask that.
Rosalind could only consider this a minor interruption in her plans. She would behave for the time being, she didn’t want to upset the wrong people. While she’d never not originally been favorable about becoming a vampire, she’d become accustomed to the lifestyle and she wasn’t ready to give it up. There were still centuries ahead of her, she figured she could waste a little time cozying up to those who were stronger than her. At least persuade them into thinking she was interested in keeping with the times, though none of that mattered to her. It never had. Rosalind had ever been one to meet up with the status quo, but she’d survive the week.
Drawing her dark locks over her shoulder, she set off towards the campsite, straying far from the other campers who were issuing a lot more excitement at the idea that she was. Instead she bypassed any friendly waves, choosing to avoid any passing conversation until she found her way to the tent she’d been assigned. Stupefy, it was called. Ushering her way into the tent she found it was empty. Rosalind found her way to the back of the tent, choosing the bed most separated from the others before stashing her belongings, and laying back in the cot reveling in the silence.

Alex pushed a strand of long red hair out of her face. She pushed her messenger bag back up her arm, onto her shoulder. It was quite heavy. She couldn't remember what she packed, but Alex Jackie Janes had surely packed a lot of stuff in her bag. She had never been camping before. She didn't like the idea of getting herself dirty. But pretty much everyone at Beauxbatons would be attending, so she decided to go. She didn't like to admit it, but she had no friends. Perhaps she would meet some friends here. She had left Beauxbatons before most people, so she didn't have to rush. Although she didn't, it didn't take her long to get to the campsite.
The sleeping quarters had been split into 8 tents. Alex was in the eighth theft, which was called stupefy. A poster on the front said that there were five other girls staying in this tent. Alex stepped in. In a corner in the back of the room, there was a girl lying in a cot. Seeing the girl lying in the cot made Alex feel tired. Although all the cots were far from the girl, she decided to sleep in the one nearest the girl. She set her bag beside it as she relaxed on it.

Lucrezia shoved some of her clothes into her duffel bag. She smiled a little when she saw that she was finished packing. Well, at least she thought so. She stood there for a couple of minutes, mentally running through a checklist. Her smile widened when she realized that she had packed everything. "That's everything," she said to herself as she stooped down to pick up her bag. Lucrezia swung the bag over her shoulder and headed out the door. The moment she walked out that door, she could hear the excitement buzzing around the common room. That was really saying something. Some of the Sournois students weren't actually very fun. Some were more serious...or scary. She didn't want to admit it but they were a kind of frightening sometimes. This was coming from the girl who walked into the Forbidden Forest for the fun of it. These were the kids that she chose to stay away from. Lucrezia joined the group of students who were going to the campsite. She slipped into some casual conversation with a couple of girls standing near her.
She had to try making some friends. She was going to be at the school for a while. After her initial freakout, she had realized that Baeuxbatons wouldn't be so bad. It was in France which was one of the most interesting countries in the world. Well, that was her opinion. At least it wasn't like that Norwegian school that she had attended before. It was extremely boring even by magic school standards. It might've been because of the fact that the teachers were really strict. Lucrezia was genuinely excited about the camping trip. The last time she had been on one was when she was ten. That was when she was still living in America. She hadn't been gone camping since then.
The rest of the walk to the campsite was okay. It was a little dull but okay. Finally, the campsite was in view. It was a sight for sore eyes. She desperately wanted to be rid of her duffel bag. It was heavy of course since they were going to stay at the campsite for a while. Her eyes scanned for the tent labeled Stupefy. She found it quickly. "Hello?" she called out as she entered the tent. Her eyes quickly spotted two girls laying on the cots. "Are you guys tired already?" she asked them. Lucrezia picked out a cot near the redheaded girl. She unceremoniously dumped her duffel bag onto the cot. She seated herself on the edge, facing the other girls. "Since we're going to be staying in this tent together for a while, we should probably introduce ourselves. I'm Lucrezia Hollands," she introduced, smiling at them. They probably weren't very happy that she interrupted their silence but she wasn't going to let that hold her down. She was determined to enjoy the trip. It was no use sulking the entire length of it because of some girls.

"Hello?" a voice had called. Alex sat up in her bed to see that it was a girl who appeared to be about her age. "Are you guys tired already?" the girl asked them. Alex shook her head. She was only lying on the cot because their had been nothing to do. She watched the girl dump her bag on the bed next to hers. "Since we're going to be staying in this tent together for a while, we should probably introduce ourselves. I'm Lucrezia Hollands," she introduced, smiling at Alex and the other girl.
"I'm Alexis Jacqueline Janes" Alex notified the girl with a smile. This was hard. Alex only smiled at really good friends. But she had to remain friendly. Or at least she had to look friendly. Alexis wasn't the best at making friends. Perhaps if she acted nice, people would befriend her. "But I prefer Alex Jackie Janes, or just Alex" she added continuing to smile.

Serena awoke, feeling prepared to face the day ahead. It wasn't quite time for her powers to be pushed in full, but she was close to the ocean which could only mean that her pod would be pulling her even closer to what she hoped wouldn't be her fate. She knew the ways of the sea, she knew how things worked... she didn't want to be pulled into the sea, forced to become a siren forever and to grow the tail of mermaids. She didn't want to be part of that world, per say. She rolled over and checked her open bag that she had a few changes of clothes and all other necessities before she tossed off the covers and stuffed her bare feet into a pair of flip flops. One way to describe how the girl dressed would have to be blue. She always had something blue on, whether it be jewelery or clothing, or everything. She will always have an affiliation to the sea, and even though she would do her best to avoid living in it, she would always feel that connection.
She finished preparing for the day by dressing herself and primping slightly in the mirror (primping to a shy siren like Serena meant brushing her hair and applying a layer of nude lipstick - nothing too time consuming) before she slung her bag over her shoulder and headed for the peaks. Since she had no idea where they were, she was lucky to have a crowd to follow. Girls and boys of all ages seemed to be filing out together. She locked eyes with a few students who regarded her with curiosity, not fear or annoyance thank goodness, and she returned the glance with a blank one that hinted slightly at a small smile. Serena was always under a lot of stress come the time of the full moon which was slowly approaching. She had to keep her wits about her lest a merman or mermaid use magic to drag her to her unwanted fate.
She shrugged the strap of her bag higher over her shoulder as she continued with the crowd for about half an hour before finally arriving at the campsite. She spotted her tent immediately, the canvas doors billowing in the wind, she brushed past them and found the tent to be nearly filled. Perhaps she was late, or the other girls had arrived early? One of them looked to be rather tired, lying on the bed unmoving, and the other two seemed to be in the process of saying their hellos. Silently, Serena went and took a seat on the cot beside the girl who had introduced herself as Lucrezia. She couldn't help but note such a unique name and the way it so smoothly rolled off the tongue. She smiled, it was unique as she was sure the girl was. At that moment, she wondered immediately if any of these girls would be the one to draw her away and her guard went up. But of course, she had to appear as though she were calm, eager and excited to be at camp Beauxbatons. "Hello, my name is Serena," she smiled weakly, extending a hand to the Lucrezia girl, unsure of where to go from there. Serena's ability to converse wasn't exactly up to par as many of the other social girls at the school.
