She knew she wanted to see her family again, but she didn't want to leave Anastasia in her time of need! Her wedding was going to be in the summer and she couldn't believe she got to be apart of it. Kabes sighed as she pulled her dirty blonde hair into a high ponytail, securing it in place with a bright pink hair elastic. She hadn't been home in what felt like forever! Finally, the chance to see her parents and brothers again! They were all coming back to the cottage before the birth of the new Lilly. Lisa was pregnant with one last Lilly boy and the family was coming together around the due date. Even the midwife was on call for this one. She grabbed her wand from her bed and waved her wand at her two suitcases, jam packed with things she would need for the break. She levitated them all the way towards the Cossu common room, feeling nostalgic for the memories. The best of them, she was sad to say, were over now. She sighed as she relived the memories with her and Ivanov, knowing that they would never be again. He was returning to Durmstrang and she knew he would try everything he could to come back, but it was unlikely he would return for a few months, maybe years. She felt a little teary and quickly sucked in the feeling, hiding it as some of her peers walked by, waving her and wishing her goodbye and safe travels. She waved back, smiling cheerfully and wiping the thoughts of her now ex-boyfriend from her head. Last night had been an incredible one, she knew she wouldn't forget it for quite some time. She wondered how she was going to tell Mathew about it... maybe while they were away, so he'd resist the urge to go and attack him for it. It wasn't like he broke her heart, it was the school. She walked down and out into the grounds, following groups of students. However, when she approached the gaggle of people clambering for their carriages, she kept her eyes peeled for her brother, Alexandre. Alex came running out from the Quidditch pitch and she waved at him, drawing him over. He seemed out of breath and she laughed. "You're some athlete and you can't even run a hundred metres," she joked, hooking her arm with his. "Ready to head home?" the bright smile was back on her lips, her beautiful brother on her arm. They were quite the pair, she realized. Two half-veela's together must have created some sort of sight. She and her brother waited in line for about ten minutes before there was a free carriage. She was pretty sure she was going to meet Mathew there, as well as her cousin Morgs hopefully. She had invited Morrigan, Otis, Nathanial and Rachele along to come and visit the family. Otis, more of the sake of Mattie who would probably appreciate the company that wasn't family. She hoped they would all be able to come out, even for part of the trip! As the two stepped into the carriage, Kabes waved goodbye to the school, and some of her acquaintances and friends who were among those leaving for the break. She vowed to write a few owls to her friends sooner rather than later, but for the time being, the one hour trip was going to simply be a small one between her and her brother. Perhaps a chance to bond. Kabriel and Alex sat in silence for the first few minutes of their journey before beginning a game of exploding snap. Kabes and Alex were really getting into it, laughing every now and then. The carriage ride was soon full of gigles as Alex brought out two bottles of butterbeer for the siblings to share. Kabes cuddled up with her brother for the remainder of the trip and soon she could see the cottage where she grew up out of the window. She smiled and leaned her head out of the window. Her brother's protective hand lay on her shoulder, easing her back into her seat but she was beyond excited for landing. It felt like an eternity before the wheels of the carriage touched the ground. The carriage slowed to a stop on the grass and she stumbled out, looking this way and that for her parents. The first person she saw was her youngest brother Remus who sat reading on the front porch. "REMY!" she squealed, running over to him and throwing her arms around his small body. Although, he had grown and seemed to be about her height by now. "You're tall!" she gaped, staring at him. He shrugged a little and her explosion of energy must have brought the rest of the family to the yard. First Lisa, then Thomas, Adrian, Lorcean, Tommy, Matt, Dustin and James! Kabes practically screamed and ran throwing her arms around her brothers. "I've missed you all so much!" she laughed as everyone shared their hello's. For some of the brothers, this was their first time seeing their little cousin in forever so it was extremely exciting for Kabes to see how they're doing. They all looked more or less the same, but much more grown up. Some even had stubble or beards when they had nothing before! Kabes quickly grabbed her wand drew her bags out of the carriage while her mother handed the horses some carrots and petted them. She smiled at everyone, "I'm so excited to finally be home!"

It had not taken the young Cossu long to pack his belongings. He did not need much for the two week stay at the Lilly’s. A few sets of clothes, his wand and he was set for the next two weeks of chilling with the family. Mathew lay lazily on his oversized bed, eating off a vine of grapes. His hand barely flicked his long wand at his wardrobe and as if by some power of god, his clothes coordinated, folded and packed themselves into his canvas backpack. Packing was a stitch in the wizarding world. With his bag packed, he launched himself onto the floor and slung his pack over his bag. It was time to leave for the best two weeks of vacation in a long time.
It wasn’t too hard for him to escape from school. Of course, he had to avoid the grasps of the first year girls that had pestered him on “if he was going to write,” “if he was going to visit”, or “if he was going to stop at the Wizard Mall.” He was done with them. At one point in his life he loved the attention. The more the better was his train of thought. That boy was no longer. He had more particular tastes now. He had a refined pallet now that he was older and more mature. So instead of leading them on he just told them that he had plans and he was going to be busy for most of the trip. It was the safe answer. He didn’t want to be beaten by a mob of angry first years because he had given up on them. With one last half-hearted goodbye, he escaped from the castle and was ready for his journey.
Mathew had never been one for conventional methods of travel. He had take leaves from school so often that the carriages did nothing for him. He couldn’t stand just being driven around. He needed to be active in the travel; it was what made travelling fun. It wasn’t like people who went to the States on vacation had more fun in the plane than they did when they arrived. However, those who backpacked across Europe obviously enjoyed it much better. This was the reason that Mathew had his trusty steed…. Well his own form of a trusty steed – his motorbike. Plus he looked pretty stellar atop a revving bike. That may have been a determining factor upon his purchase of it. Plus he loved the feeling of his coiffing hair blowing through the breeze while he rode. He mounted the machine, revved the engine and with that the bike sped off down the pathway leading from the grounds. This was going to be a great holiday.
He was excited to see his family again especially with the soon arrival of the newborn on the way. It would be wonderful to have another boy in the family. There were never enough Lillys hanging around apparently. They would soon overrun the school. It was always a confusing time when Matthieu was around. Matthieu of course was shortened Matt. Mattie was what Kabriel called him. From a young age his parents insistently tried to inform the entire family that Mathew was pronounced like May-ew. Of course, his parents should have named him Mayew then and not like the name Matthew. However, Matthew stuck and forever his family called him Mattie. Don’t get him wrong, he loved his nicknames. Mattie, Mattiecakes, Mattiepie, Mattiekins, etc. It was adorable how many names his dear cousins could conjure up for him… and well how creative they could get with the names to pick on him. The name mix-up would definitely be something to get use to all over again. The Matts stuck together. They were the two boys in the family who understood each other. Their personalities just matched like a perfect duo. Calling a Matt might just get you two boys – Lucky You!
The most exciting part of the visit to the family was not the new baby or seeing his family (though they were nice to see) or the fact that he got to kick it with the boys. It wasn’t even the fact that he would get prime air time to flirt his way up to Morrigan. It was definitely the fact that Rachele would be there or at least he hoped she would. The break gave him prime opportunity to talk to her – something that they definitely needed to do now especially after her recent family visit. This was primary time to deal with her. Plus his best mate Otis would be there and his male cousins. Mathew could finally hang out with someone who didn’t want to talk about cuticles or the Weird Sisters. He was glad he could kick it with his manly family.
When the sight of the Lilly’s white cottage came into view, he instantly kicked into first gear to slow his speed down. Kabriel would have a cow if she knew how fast he was going on his way over. She was always unnecessarily overprotective of him. Everyone had already gathered in the lawn. He shook his head at the sight of the crowd. It was going to be a tight squeeze but it was cozy right? Mathew dismounted his bike as soon as he was close enough to the family. He walked his bike along to the side of the house and kicked open the stand. Mathew secured his backpack around his shoulder and with one deep inhale, whisked himself towards the gathering group – well prepared for a family reunion. Mathew was never much for mushy greetings so instead when it came to it he extended his hand for Thomas, and shook it for a moment before ushering out a ”Good to see ya,” He gave a polite wave to the boys and a ‘whatup’ head nod paired with a mischievous smile towards Matthieu. Kabriel was obviously close Remy due to the overexcitement and stimulation the two shared. When Kabriel commented she was excited to be home – that was an understatement. She had pestered him the whole week leading up to their departure. ”Yeah… I think that excited might be the wrong word.” he shook his head out of disbelief ”berserk – deranged – rabid.” Mathew listed off ”Those all fit the bill”

Rachele, unlike most students, didn't really look forward to break. This break was an exception. Instead of being forced to spend a lot of her time at her grandmother's, she had been invited to spend the break at the Lilly household. That was where she was going right now. Unfortunately, she wasn't coming from Beauxbatons as most people. Instead, she was coming from her grandmother's. She had been there for a visit, and it was something she was trying to distance herself from. It was worth having to go there just so she could go to the Lilly's. Beyond getting to spend some time with Kabriel and meeting her family, she would also hopefully get to see a few others as well.
Otis was a friend of hers, and she would definitely enjoy spending some time with him if he came. Of course there was Kabriel, whom she had wanted to spend some more time getting to know. She was quite fond of the girl if truth be told. Then, there was Mathew. She was really looking forward to seeing him. He had been on her mind quite a lot on her visit home. Besides, the two of them always were able to have fun and relax around one another. All in all, it was looking to be a really enjoyable break. Still, she was a little nervous about meeting Kabriel's family. She was sure they were nice, but she could be a little shy around people when meeting for the first time.
The young vampire paused for a moment to reach into her backpack. Rather than take transportation of any kind, Rachele had decided to walk to the Lilly's. She moved fast enough to make the trip in no time when she was travelling at top speed. Now, she was beginning to get more into open area. The sun was cheery, but she wanted to be careful. She reached her arm into her backpack which she had enlarged on the inside to pack all of her things in, and she pulled out a lacy black parasol. It had been a gift, and it was definitely going to be useful. Once she'd put it up, she took a look down at herself. She seemed to look fairly decent still. The charms she'd put on her clothes seemed to have done the trick. She reached down again and grabbed a water. Then, she cleaned up her face. She was getting close now, and she wanted to look presentable.
Within a few moments, she was able to make out the Lilly household. Again she paused, but this time it was to admire the house. It was an absolutely charming place. It looked very comfortable, and the area surrounding it would be a lot of fun to explore. It was a place that Rachele knew she was going to enjoy. She wondered whether Kabriel would want to play hide and seek again as she had at the picnic. That would be quite interesting around here. From where she stood, she could see people. It appeared that she was not the only one arriving. Though she did not need it, she took a slow breath in to steady herself. Then, she made her way to the house and the people in front of it.
In no time, she was closing in on the group. She slowed herself to a regular walking pace. The nerves inside her started to kick up, but she pushed them back down. It was going to be just fine. At least she wasn't the first person here, and she could be introduced. Her eyes went to Kabriel first and the rest that were obviously her family. She smiled slightly when she saw them. This was nice; this was what family should be like. Then, her eyes touched on Mathew. He had driven here if the motorcycle she'd noted on her way in was any indication. He looked very handsome. The color he wore definitely suited him. Quietly she made her way up to the group.
She adjusted her bag as she stepped up. "Hello," she said softly but cheerfully. "I'm Rachele," she said addressing Kabriel's family. "It was so nice of you to invite me, Kabriel. You look wonderful." She smiled and turned to Mathew. "Nice to see you too." She hugged him quickly knowing that he would want to talk to her about her visit home later. She offered him a smile and a slight squeeze on his hand before turning back to the family. "Hope I'm not here too early," she said.

YOU'RE GIVING ME A
The young man had had a rough couple of nights. Most were sleepless because he couldn't get that dancing goddess out of his mind. Not to mention Scarlett... there was just so much going on in the department of the females, that he was very out of it on his way to meet the most important girl in his life - his little sister. He seemed so out of it that he found himself lying in bed for a prolonged period of time, so much so that if he stayed any longer he'd miss the carriages away all together! To be honest, he could have simply flown home but he wanted to humour his sister's weird sense of travel. He wasn't into horse drawn carriages... add wings to the equation and Alex wasn't a happy camper. Regardless, he would go with her. Once he found his toothbrush... Aha! he thought animatedly, as he ran it under cold water before tucking it away in its respective case. He looked down at his watch and winced, grabbing his bags and heading out the door to meet his sister. He made a mad dash towards the carriage loading dock, knowing full well that his sister was already there waiting. Luckily, she was friendly enough to converse with other students until his arrival. As he panted up to her, she could only comment on his lack of shape. He sarcastically laughed at her, ruffling her hair before helping her into the carriage. He passed her the luggage and it only took them a few moments to load the carriage. He was half hoping to see a certain two girls before he left, but he was left unlucky in that respect.
Running a hand through his hair, he hopped in the carriage after his sister and settled in right across from her. He sighed and shook his head at the girl, waving at all of her friends and admirers. Something about her seemed to draw people. It was strange and he wasn't sure he'd ever quite get used to it. He rolled his eyes before pulling out an old book of his to read on the journey. He didn't even get two lines in before his sister began patting her legs to a rhythm and innocently whistling a tune she had probably heard on the radio. It sounded a little familiar, leading Alex to believe it was a song by their brother Lorcean's band. He sighed and let the girl continue, humoring her ease into the journey. The flight was only an hour or so long, but the siblings couldn't really spend that whole time not talking at all. It took only ten minutes before the game of exploding snap to begin, and even then the laughter and chatter seemed to nullify the game, the two falling prey to the classic relaxation techniques that their family had. Kabes rested her soft head on his shoulder as he wrapped a protective arm around her. The two just started to doze off when Alex felt a lurch in his stomach, signalling their descent. His sister seemed to notice it as well as she lifted herself up from her seat and stared out the window of the carriage. She smiled down at everyone and Alex let out a breath, knowing what lay ahead.
Unlike Kabriel, Alex had gone home a few times too many. The rooms remained the same, and everyone was more or less the same to him. Maybe the addition of the Lilly girl would make a difference. She had also asked her friends to join her and that in itself was something different. He'd get to meet the infamous Otis Barberis, a lad who she knew would provide a little ease to the table. Alex knew his quidditch skills were up to par and he knew that Kabes really enjoyed spending time with him. Sometimes Alex wasn't sure what he should think of her and him. Maybe he'd knock some sense into the boy before he got too carried away. After all, his sister already had a boyfriend who was already trained into accepting that there were many boys backing Kabriel, ready to protect her at a moment's notice.
The carriage landed, slowly coming to a halt. The moment the wheels touched the grass, Kabes had already opened the door and had burst out into the sunlight. He chuckled as she heard the name of the youngest Lilly sibling announced by the boisterous Cossu and he exited the carriage in time to see the rest of the family there to greet them. Alex gravitated towards his twin and the two shared a long hug, smiling at one another before Alex got a punch in the shoulder from James. "You said you were going to come and visit, eh?" the boys shared a laugh and Alex nodded greeting at the rest of the boys. He stood there for a moment, bathing in the warmth of the sun and his mother and father before he quickly realized the horses were still there for a reason. He quickly entered the carriage and grabbed his and Kabriel's bags, placing them by the door to the Lilly's cottage. He closed the doors and joined his mother in feeding the horses some grains before they flew off again. Just in the nick of time! Alex spotted some dust flying up behind what he assumed was a motorbike. He squinted his eyes and some of the brothers joined suit, not entirely sure who it was. As Mathew hopped off the bike and walked it slowly towards the lot of them, Alex couldn't help but grin a bit. Even though he was younger than most of the boys, he always had that air of confidence that some of them lacked. Mathew was very different from the Lilly's, but they all shared blood through Thomas so it all seemed to even out in the end. The boys all nodded or waved to Mathew, who greeted their father with a strong handshake.
Thomas grinned at his nephew and patted him on the back, "It's nice to see you, it's been a while!" Thomas' voice was a little gruff and worn from cigarette smoking from his younger years, but it had all ceased when the first boy was born, unfortunately the voice hadn't. Kabriel, as excited as ever to see her cousin (not like she didn't see him every day as it was), jumped to her cousin's side and flung her arms around his shoulders, squeezing him as though she hadn't just seen him the previous day. Funny thing with Kabriel was that she had the energy of the sun wrapped up into such a small package. It was unnerving to Alex and he always wondered where she stored it all. He laughed at his cousin's comment, "Rabid and deranged?" he shook his head, chuckling, "Sounds like her daily self, doesn't it?" he tossed her a knowing grin and the rest of the boys laughed.
Adrian then piped up, "Hey, who's that?" he raised a hand to cover the sun, now high in the sky, as they spotted a figure moving rather quickly towards the home. It was equipped with a black parasol and seemed to be practiaclly floating. The girl, as it turned out to be, calmly walked up to Mathew and the two seemed to share a connection. Alex smiled at the newcomer as his sister eagerly stepped in (a common action of hers), "This is Rachele, everyone! Rachele, this is everyone!" she beamed, glancing at the dark haired girl. She stood in contrast to the Lilly's, who all had light hair save for Thomas, who's brown hair was speckled with grey. Lisa smiled warmly at Rachele and extended her hand, "Welcome to our home, it will be nice to have some friends around instead of just us," she sighed and glanced at the boys, "It gets a little tough with all these boys around." she laughed. Kabriel smiled at her mother before offering to take Rachele's bags. As though on cue, the rest of the boys scrambled to take them for her. Manners were a big thing in the Lilly household.
"I've got some lunch inside! Enough to feed a small army," Lisa announced, the latter being said under her breath to the girls. As James and Alex struggled with his and Kabriel's things, Lorcean grinned at Rachele as he took her bag for her and brought it inside. She was probably going to be sharing with Kabriel knowing the Lilly parents. There was a rule of boys and girls sharing a room to Lisa and Thomas. They were old fashioned, but it would give the girls some alone time which was nice. Morrigan would also probably stay with Kabriel and Rachele if she chose to accept the invitation. As Lorcean glanced over at Mathew, his grin immediately melted into a smile. One thing about the Lilly boys, they could sort of tell when it was appropriate to... make a move of some kind. So far, they were getting the idea that this girl was off limits. Kabriel would soon debrief them later, Alex supposed as he shot Mathew and Rachele an apologetic look as he held the front door open for them.
The kitchen was flooded with light from all of the windows. The Lilly's loved sunlight, which could prove problematic for Rachele. There were shutters available to close if need be, but none of the Lilly's really knew of Rachele's uniqueness so they did nothing unfortunately. Alex grinned at the feast available. It had been a while since he had had some home cooked food from his mum, and every last bit was a welcome sight. There was home made orange juice, freshly made baguette and various cheeses. There was even some chicken in a dish that Thomas and Mattieu were already loading up on on their plates. In the backyard, Alex could see that a long picnic table was set up for everyone to go and enjoy themselves. It seemed as though his mother had been putting a great deal of work into the gathering. He slipped up against his mother and planted a kiss on her cheek before grabbing a cup of orange juice, "A toast to Mum! For being able to provide for us, and make this delicious meal," he smiled and took a gulp. His brothers cheered in agreement and Kabes' high squeal and giggle was easily heard before some of the party went out onto the back lawn and some remained in the kitchen. It was finally break and Otis wasn't sure how he felt about break just now. He had missed Beauxbatons so much and knew that if he went home, it would be a bit weird. Thankfully, Kabes had invited him to come visit her place along with many others Otis had known very well over the years. He hadn't been over to the Lilly's place in a long time and wondered how all of her siblings were. Some of them had come to Beauxbatons for a bit and Otis got to know them well with Kabes introducing them to all of her friends, including Otis himself.
He was still staying at Beauxbatons though. Even though he was a third year, Otis liked staying at Beauxbatons. It was his home away from his actual home. His homeland had much better weather than France, but Otis knew more people here that he liked and Otis liked the familiarity of Beauxbatons. The solitude was nice as well, but Otis mostly liked that he could do whatever he wanted at school. He knew if he went home, he'd be doing a bunch of boring chores. Plus, Chrysander was staying at school because of his first year status and Otis could use some time to catch up with the short guy.
As soon as Otis reached the outskirts of the Beauxbatons grounds, Otis Apparated to the area of where the Lilly house was. He had a bit of walking to do, but Otis loved the look of spring coming to the scenery. The green was starting to seep through and Otis couldn't help but love this time of year. Everything that looked so dead in winter was coming back to life to raise new happiness in people. The longer Otis walked, the more clearer Otis could see the house he was trying to reach. Otis grew more excited and picked up his pace. Soon he reached the door and knocked, he was greeted by Mr. Lilly. "Good day today, isn't it? Thanks for letting me come over." Otis told Mr. Lilly and was let in. He could smell something good and could feel his stomach start to protest. First things first though. It didn't take Otis too long to find the people that had already arrived: Rachele and Matthew. Otis beamed towards his friends and quickly rushed over to them. With Rachele and Matthew standing next to each other, Otis was able to wrap them both in a hug. Being tall and having long arms did have some advantages. "Matthew! Rachele! Good to see you guys!" Otis greeted and then proceeded to grab Kabes. He englufed her in one of his hugs and rocked back and forth with her for a few moments. "Always a pleasure, Kabes. Thanks for having me over!" Otis told her as well.

The moment that the young Cossu’s eyes landed on the raven-haired goddess he felt instant relief. For all the turnips in the world, he cared for his family. It was just that sometimes he couldn’t take all the ‘love’ in the room. Having Rachele around was just that bit of relief that he needed to make this holiday a retreat. Not only did the most calm feeling wash over him moment she arrive, his mouth could have dropped open. He resisted against his inner turmoil to gawp at her but… dang! Did she look gorgeous or what?
Upon her short greeting of a hug, he wrapped a strong arm around her. Not letting her go until he informed her ”You are a life saver, beautiful.” he voice was almost inaudible and yet he knew that it would not fall upon deaf ears. It was only when Mattie looked over Rachele’s shoulder that he saw Adrian making kissy faces at him. Mathew’s eyes rolled deeply into the back of his head. Only Adrian would do something that embarrassing. Mathew released her from his grip only so she could greet the remaining members of his family. Too early? She never could have arrived at a more perfect time. He felt better that he wouldn’t have to spend the whole week alone. Mathew knew from experience that his family could be a little overwhelming and he just hoped that they weren’t too much for Rachele.
His gaze turned to Lorcean who seemed more than eager to help Rachele with her belongings. Mathew shot the nineteen year old a warning glare. This was not happening. Spotting Alexandre’s apologetic look reminded Mathew that some of his family was not crazy. ‘Thank you,’ he mouthed silently towards the young man as he swept into the house after Rachele entered, his hand on her lower back escorting her in, ”Whatever you do… don’t talk to Lorcean.” He informed Rachele as he followed her into the kitchen. It was less of an order and more a pleading beg. The moment it came out of his mouth Lorcean snapped his neck around to stare at Mathew. The glare that followed only made a grin spread across Mathew’s face. As if he even had a chance or something.
The smell radiating from the kitchen made his nose twitched at attention. This was the only time that it was acceptable for his mix matched orbs to waiver from Rachele. Food. He had not had a single serving of homemade food in what seemed like forever. Beauxbatons had lavish foods and heaps of it, but it just lacked that special something that home cooked meals tended to have. Mathew gave Rachele a pleading apologetic glance before joining Matthieu at the food table. Spotting the full plate that Matthieu had collected, Mathew slyly snuck in from behind him and nimbly pulled the plate from his hands. It was the irritated look from his cousin that made Mathew happy. Matthieu and Mathew had an interesting relationship to say the least. ”Would you deny the starving children in my stomach, Matt?” Mathew’s eyes welled up as if to drop a few stray tears. The only reply Matthieu had was ”Yes,” as he tried to yank back the entrée. Mathew just backed up at the right moment, stuffed his face with a piece of chicken and through his full mouth echoed ”You snoozed you lose, bro.” and the Cossu threw his hands in the air, as if to say stuff happens, and he backed away from Matt.
It was only the speech to Lisa that made Mathew stop his horseplay. Grabbing his own glass of orange juice, he raised it in agreement. Unable to speak, he sipped on the beverage to wash down his giant bite of chicken. Lisa did know how to cook, that was for sure. Mathew nodded his head towards the door to acknowledge to Rachele that he was headed outside. Juggling a full plate and a class of O.J. in one hand, he could not help the temptation to ruffle Remy’s hair on the way out of the door. ”Hey!” the youngster replied unhappily. Mathew knew that soon he would be ‘too old’ to be ruffled but that definitely would not stop him.
On his way out the door Mathew heard a familiar voice echoing over top of the group. He trotted back in the house to greet him, only he was met with a pair of meaty arms trapping him and Rachele in a giant hug. Mathew carefully situated the plate as not to drop it. "Good to see you too buddy." Mattie replied through restricted breaths. It was when he released Mathew and grabbed Kabes that his eyes shifted strangely between the two and his eyebrow perked up. Mathew shot the glance to Rachele and mouthed ‘what?’ and motioned between the two. That was the strangest thing he had seen in awhile.
It was not strange for Kabriel to smoother a new guest in a hug, but Otis encapsulating his cousin in an embrace was a strange sight to see. Mathew shrugged to dismiss it as he grasped hold of Rachele’s hand, and his head nodded towards the picnic tables ”Its all of a sudden got a little too snuggly in here.” Mathew noted for Rachele but its intended listener being Otis. Finally, reaching the picnic tables he sat happily on a bench. Food called to him. Food would forever be his first love. The most important relationship in his life.

The reception was a warm one which normally would've left the young vampire blushing, but since she could no longer do that, she simply smiled. When Mathew called her a life saver, she turned a bright smile his way. "What flavor?" she whispered back with a wink before turning back to the group. There were quite a lot of them, but they all definitely seemed quite friendly. Kabriel took no time in introducing her around to everyone. Kabriel's mother greeted her so warmly; for a moment she reflected on her own mother but quickly shook herself out of that head space. She extended her own hand to shake her hand being careful not to put too much of a grip on it. "Thank you very much for having me. I'm very happy to be here." She looked around the group at all of the boys. The comment Lisa made got another smile out of her. Yes, she definitely was going to like it here.
When Kabriel offered to get her things for her, Rachele had just started to say she could get them. However, she hadn't even begun to get the words out when many of Kabriel's brothers rushed to assist them. They were so incredibly polite, and Rachele could already feel a fondness for them all washing over her. Kabriel's mother announced there was food for lunch. Of course, they had no idea about Rachele's condition, but she had thought out what she would do. For now she could say that she was not hungry, which was true as she had made sure to feed before coming. Later on, she had things she would use to take care of herself. Unless someone asked, she was not going to go around broadcasting what she was to everyone. They had been nice enough to invite her, and she didn't want to add anything onto that.
She began to enter the house as one of Kabriel's brothers assisted her with her belongings. An appreciative smile had just come across her face when she heard Mathew's comment and saw the apologetic look given by Alexandre. Her eyes went to Lorcean; he looked harmless enough though she did note the look he gave Mathew. She smiled as Mathew escorted her in as his hand was helping to keep her nerves at bay. "He looks nice enough," she whispered to him. "However, if you say so...how about in mixed company?" she asked. Should Lorcean speak to her, she didn't want to be rude. Manners were important to Rachele; plus, she was a guest in this house. She wondered what it was about Lorcean that Mathew was worried about, but she didn't outright ask. Mathew had her trust.
Carefully, Rachele put down her parasol as they entered the kitchen. It was quite sunny, but as it was not direct, it didn't bother her much. It just added to the cheery nature of the house which she really liked. The food was laid out, and she watched as the family began to put food on a plate. The interactions between them all made her smile. She stood back and watched them, trying to catch names and put them with faces, and she felt so comfortable. This was the sort of thing she used to have, and she missed it.
When Alexandre made the toast to their mother, she quickly grabbed a nearby glass and lifted it. She considered leaving it but decided that would probably be a bit rude. It only took her a moment to decide to drink it. There was no harm in it though it would not be the taste that she was used to. Quietly, she lifted it to her lips and took a quick sip. Her eyes went to Mathew and noted that he was heading towards the outside and the picnic table. Making sure not to get in the way, she began to follow him.
As she was about to step out, she found herself wrapped into a huge hug with Mathew. She smiled happily as she realized that it was Otis. She'd heard that he might be coming, and it was quite good to see that he had taken the invitation. "It's wonderful to see you, Otis!" she exclaimed. Hearing how Mathew spoke, it took some control not to giggle a little at him. Her eyes followed Otis as he hugged Kabriel, but unlike Mathew, she didn't think much of it. Otis hugged people; Kabriel hugged people. People just hugged people, sometimes. Still, she gathered that it was unexpected by Mathew's reaction.
She was quiet as she followed Mathew outside. Quickly, she put up her parasol again, being careful not to spill the juice that she still carried. At the picnic table, she set the glass down and then settled down next to Mathew. Her eyes watched him as he dug in. Then, she began to sip the juice as she waited for the others to join them. She was looking forward to getting to know Kabriel's family. "It really is good to see you," she said to Mathew as they waited. "Wasn't sure I would make it at first."

[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, line-height:80%;][atrb=style, width:350px; padding:10px; background:#ffffff;] LATELY I'VE BEEN DYING JUST TO GET UP OFF THE GROUND The moment everyone showed up, the girl's face lit up like a firework. "MATTIE!" she squealed, running up to him as he reached the gaggle of guys. After Thomas' friendly greeting, she flung her arms around the boy's neck. It wasn't like she had seen him the previous night, reminding him again and again that he had to meet her at the Lilly's home this time for break. She smiled as his strong arms hugged her back. She always felt safe with Mathew. She enjoyed the feeling of safety, and it couldn't be stronger than it was now. Having all of her brothers back in one place was certainly the highlight of her year. It was very rare to have family gatherings... but considering the fact that she was going to be given a new baby brother or sister was very exciting to Kabes. She was absolutely giddy with anticipation for the new addition to the family! She smiled, sticking by Mathew's side as her brother's handled the luggage and brought it to the front door. It seemed as though they were running out of room in the entrance way to the home as Kabes could see her Mum getting a little nervous about her flowers surrounding the door a few feet away. She smiled at her brothers as they joked around, somewhat tuning them out. They spoke of her briefly, and she already knew the jist of it. She was already fifteen so it wasn't like she had no idea of what she was like to them. When the eldest Lilly suddenly broke from the conversation and seemed to be staring behind her, Kabes blinked at him and turned around with the rest of the Lilly clan. Like an angel, Rachele smoothly walked up and joined the gang. Finally, another girl. Kabes now felt as though things would become more balanced... well, considering it was normally just her and her mother.
"This is Rachele, everyone! Rachele, this is everyone!" she exclaimed, waving an arm around. Kabes couldn't help but notice again how gorgeous she looked, but perhaps that came with the territory to being a vampire? Regardless, Kabriel had always thought Rachele was pretty and most of her believed that was just who she was. It was a whole gaggle of gorgeousness, Kabes mused to herself. Of course, the Lilly family was half veela, save for Mathew and Thomas Sr., as Lisa was part of a secretive program run by the ministry of magic years and years ago. Kabriel had to understand that full veela's were rare and most didn't exist anymore because they never really bred with one another. Eventually, they'd all be related. So, satisfied that her parents were completely not related, Kabes had moved on with her life at the age of ten. Before that, she always thought that everyone was a veela like her mother, always seeing the beauty in others when sometimes they didn't see it in themselves. The girl had a sort of fog blinding her from reality sometimes, and eventually the fog would fade. Her brothers all hoped it wouldn't sometimes, because even if she grew up having that fog there was good for the soul. "Welcome to our home, it will be nice to have some friends around instead of just us," Kabriel's mother sighed adding a glance to the boys, "It gets a little tough with all these boys around." It was true, too. Kabes didn't always want to be around guys all the time even though when she was with them she toughened herself up a little. It was just how she grew up! Under the influence of so many brothers sort of made you have to deal with tougher, more physical situations. Her brothers had tried to teach her how to box once, but that had ended with her getting a black eye and Lorcean with a broken nose. Let's just say Kabes put up a pretty good fight, but when it all came down to it, it really wasn't for her.
Following the family inside the cottage, she couldn't help but feel the overwhemling warmth she normally felt whenever she came home. When her brother was acting out and she had had to be home for a prolonged period of time to help him out, she couldn't help but warm up to the place as though she had never left. The fact that it was so secluded allowed the family to practice magic in the home which made her childhood that much more enjoyable. She beamed at the homemade meal her mother had laid out, and with Alexandre's speech she raised one of the glasses of water to the air, "Hear, hear!" she chanted wither her brothers before gurgling it down. She cleared her throat, letting out an ahhh followed by a quiet burp. She turned to her brothers and began to chat with them about their lives. Adrian had the most calm lifestyle, and since he was engaged there was wedding over the hill for him. However, him and Mallory had decided to wait a few years until both had settled into regular lifestyles and were able to plan something as large as wedding. Lisa had already offered the Lilly home as a venue and Kabes couldn't wait to see Rowan again. She smiled at the thought before grabbing some grapes and cheese off of one of the platters. She took a few bites of grapes before she heard a knock at the door. Before she could make it, her father arrived at the door with a sly grin shot at his daughter before opening it. Kabes was a little off to the side, so when Otis entered she didn't quite have time to let out an overwhelmingly happy response before he spotted his two close friends and made a beeline for them. Kabes laughed and then skipped over to the table again and grabbed a piece of fruit. As she chewed she glanced out the window and saw some of the party heading out there. Just as she took a step towards the open door, she caught Otis in the corner of her eye and laughed as his strong arms encased her. She mock struggled before giving in and hugging him tightly.
As they rocked back and forth, Kabes kept letting out spurts of laughter and giggles. Otis was one of her bestest friends, so having him around was always a pleasure. "Did you get a hair cut?" she asked him curiously after being released. She ran a hand over the top of his head, ruffling his hair. She laughed and exclaimed, "IT'S SO SOFT!" and then continued. Before the boy had the chance to reply, she grabbed a cube of marble cheese and offered it to him. Once he took it, she hugged him again, resting her face on his chest for a few moments before hissing jokingly, "I can hear your heartbeat!"
