Although the camp had only been running for three or four days, the level of energy and excitement within the campers had already skyrocketed. It was great to see a high proportion of the student body from all three houses intermingling more than was usually seen at school. Anastasia had started to grow on the idea of ‘make friends with everybody and anybody’ – it had worked well for Kabriel and, therefore, she decided to give it a go. But, even though the idea to intermingle with anyone unfamiliar was in the forefront of her mind, Ana knew there was one face that she hadn’t seen in a while. Jenna was one of her closest and bestest friends and, so far, she had not been able to catch up with her following the wedding and the honeymoon. It had really been luck of the draw that she had ended up in a tent with Kabriel but she was missing the calming vibes of Miss Hawthorne.
Hopping off the bed she had spent the past hour or so relaxing on with a copy of The Fault In Our Stars, Ana dropped the book down onto the bedside table and made her way across the room towards one of the study desks. Anastasia knew that she wanted to see Jenna and at least have some time to catch up before the evening activities took their attention away from a general hang out session. She rummaged through the draws of one of the desks, managing to find a small sheet of parchment, a quill and some ink. Quickly perching on the chair, the brunette scrawled down a quick message on the paper, addressed to Jenna.
Jenna! Long time, no see.
I’m heading down to the beach for a walk and it’d be great if you could come hang out. It’ll stop me being lonely and we can catch up too – double the benefits. Don’t worry if you can’t make it, there’ll be plenty of other times.
Love, Anastasia x
After shaking the parchment to encourage the ink to dry, Ana folded the sheet of paper in half and quickly wrote Jenna on the top side of the parchment. She slipped a brown cardigan on over her dress and fastened a pair of gladiator sandals to her feet before grabbing her satchel and making her way outside. Anastasia wasn’t exactly sure which tent Jenna was staying in but, with a quick question to one or two of the students she found around the central campfire, she swiftly found out that her other best friend had ended up in tent 3; the one labelled Amortentia. After she found the tent in question, Ana casually slipped the piece of parchment through the tent flap – keeping an eye on it to make sure it landed with her handwriting facing upwards. Hopefully she would see it, but Ana was unsure. There was no other way of getting it to her friend – this was definitely the best shot without trailing around the camp to find Jenna herself. Satisfied with the placement of the parchment, Anastasia made her way down to the small track that led down to the water front at the bottom of Celestial Peak. The beach had always been her favourite part of the area – a place so quiet and relaxing that it could almost send Ana to sleep. She had first discovered the area’s relaxing qualities not long after the start of the wedding planning. Anastasia hated being stressed, especially around others, and the beach with its calming waves had been the source of her relaxed state during the planning. Stepping off the path onto the sand, the brunette felt her face light up as the smell of the ocean filled her lungs. It had been a long time since she had been by the sea and it wasn’t until that moment that she realised it. Ana kept walking forward – heading straight for the point where the water passed over the sand with every lapping wave. She had always hoped to share the sight with Alcott after all the wedding business was over but, now that he’d moved on to bigger and better things, Anastasia guessed that it would always be her little secret.

Jenna felt like the camp was buzzing, even though it had been running for just four days. She had been trying her hardest to mingle with other people that she hadn't had the chance to get to know before but the thought of not seeing her best friends was was niggling at the corner of her mind. The raven haired girl wanted to see either Ana or Kabes, but was quite content hanging out mostly with the people she had met through the various activites, as well as the people she was sharing a tent with.
The sixteen year old was getting used to the tent she was sleeping in, but she was still getting used to the cot. This meant that Jen was waking up quite early instead of her usual time of waking up when she was sleeping in her dorm back at the castle. The girl felt tired as she had woken up early and had gone on a walk to try and make the time go faster, so when she had got back to her tent, Jen had laid down on top of the duvet and had a small nap.
The nap had ended up being a power nap of two hours and Jen sat upright as she consciously heard the flap of the tent open and slaw a flicker of parchment fall gracefully through the air to the floor of the tent, just inside the entrance. Rolling over off the bed, Jenna stood up, brushed the dust off her jeans and headed over to the piece of parchment and bent down to pick it up.
Noticing the parchment was addressed to her, Jenna turned it over and read the letter. The sixteen year old had secretly hoped one of her best friends was wanting to hang out with her and now that she had received a small scribbled note from Ana, Jen knew her best friend felt the same way. Folding the parchment, Jen tucked it down the side of her holdall and decided to change as she didn't think it was right to go to the beach in jeans and vans. Jenna changed into her plaid dress, slipped a cropped sleeve dark pink blazer over the dress and fastened a pair of black sandals to her bare feet. Grabbing her bag, Jen placed her iphone into the small fabric container and also placed her copy of Fifty Shades of Grey in the bag too. Jen hated to admit it, but she was a fan of the fifty shades trilogy so was re-reading it.
Heading out of the tent, Jenna just headed towards the path she always used until she reached a sign. The black haired girl didn't know where the beach was, so she looked at the sign and headed towards the direction that the arrow with the word beach on pointed towards. Ten minutes later, Jenna had found her way towards the cliffside path that lead down towards the beach. Noticing a figure on the beach, Jenna carefully ran down the grey gravel path until she arrived at the bottom and screeched to a halt. As she stepped onto the sand, Jen felt the sea breeze on her face. Noticing Ana near to the sea, The sixteen year old waved as madly as she could at her best friend and shouted as loud as she could "ANA!"
notes: sorry this is late
