He stared at his reflection in the mirror, examining the shiner he got from Constance over their camping trip. It was high on his cheek and the bruising was more purple and red since a week has gone by. But it still hurt a lot and putting salve on it helped to soothe the pain. He could hide the bruise and swelling if he wanted to, but between siblings, they all wore their battle wounds from each other. Well it would add a bit of edge to his handsome good looks. Joseph smoothed his hair over, added a pair of glasses on to make him look like he cared about looking like a professional, and straightened his long blue tie.
Making his way down to the greenhouse, he opened the door and windows to let the breeze inside his classroom. It looked all the same and his plants looked well kept. He'll have to thank the house elves for watering and trimming them. Joseph walked over to the board and wrote, Welcome to Herbology! Today's lesson is about Devil's Snare. Dusting his hands off of chalk, he took a seat at his desk and waited on the students arrival.

Sitting with the other Sournois' at the table, Nathaniel helped himself to some chips and other snacks before heading to class. He forgot how exhausting it was going to classes and keeping up his energy. Lots of food helped though and he ate enough to be considered a second lunch with extra helpings. He stood up and grabbed his bag, leaving the dining hall to go to his next class. He mainly took Herbology mostly because they got to go outdoors and Professor Barrington was cool. The man is related to Constance but the two were opposites! It was amusing considering they always fought, which Nathaniel saw a lot of during the camping trip.
He went through the corridors and outside, following a trail that lead to the Herbology classroom. Upon entering, he looked to see that he was first to enter. This rarely happens for him since Kate usually beats him. "Good afternoon," he greeted Joseph with a smile. Nathaniel took a seat in the second row and hung his bag behind his chair. "So that shiner of yours, it's looking better." He complimented with a smirk.

She packed her messenger bag with her books and other things needed for Herbology. It was one of her favorite classes to take and Kate couldn't wait for the first lesson. It's one of a few classes she plans on taking this term. Besides, the professor was humorous enough to keep her entertained, even if his good looks was part of the distraction. But she was determined this time around to keep up with her work and actually participate rather than run off and slack because she didn't feel like reading or working on homework. Not that she did it out of spite, but professors and their lack of zest in class made the subject boring. She cannot stand being taught things repeatedly.
Leaving her dorm room, she glanced at the other busy Cossus working on their assignments. She barely recognized any of them since she tends to disappear every once in awhile. So every time she returns, there's a whole new student body. Kate isn't even sure she'll find someone she knows around here anymore. Upon enter the greenhouse, Kate looked to the professor and smiled. My God did he look handsome. But that shiner on his face was a surprise and she wondered what had happened. "Professor! That looks like it hurts. Are you okay?" She asked with a concerned look across her face. Even with a bruise the man still looked amazing! Taking a quick glance around the classroom, she saw Nathaniel and was excited to see a familiar face. Kate moved around the classroom and took a seat next to him, setting her things aside and preparing for today's first lesson. "It's been a long time Nathaniel. It's good to see you."

Rowan was a plant person and the one class this term that she couldn't wait for was Herbology. The whole period before it she had spent anxiously fidgeting in class in anticipation for going out to the greenhouse. She was just so excited. While she wasn't what one would call an avid gardener, it was too dirty for her, she enjoyed the theory of it all. In fact, one of her favourite past times was photographing plant life. Not because she enjoyed photography but because she loved being able to take the beauty of flowers with her and preserving it in time.
Once the bell signaled the end of class, Rowan was up and out of her seat, heading towards the greenhouse class was in. Were she the kind of person who did so, she would have been skipping. And, despite being the kind of person who definitely didn't skip, she nearly was. When she reached the greenhouse she was pleased it wasn't packed yet and she would have her choice of seats. Once she walked in she took a seat quickly and nodded towards the professor and read the board. Then, she took out the necessary items from her bag and waited excitedly for class to begin, not really paying mind to the other students.
