Jasmine had never felt so hungry in her life. All those rigorous classes and the focus she had to put into them gave her such a hunger for food that she thought she would scream with joy upon seeing that lunch was served in the dining hall. Quickly, she rushed to the Sournois table and began eating, trying to be dainty, but at the same time eating as much as she could. Eventually her hunger subsided, and with a last bite of a Pumpkin Pastry, Jasmine brushed off all of her crumbs and looked around.
That hall itself was almost full now, students also helping themselves to Cauldron Cakes and roasted chicken, all the while enjoying each other's company with each other, regardless of House. Jasmine smiled, wondering if she could make a friend outside of Sournois. She probably should, given that her only friend so to speak was Rowan her roommate. Suddenly, in swooped Thorn her eagle owl, with a note attached to his leg. Jasmine fed her loyal owl some chicken and began reading. She smiled when she saw it was a letter from her parents. How she misses them. After glancing over it once, Jasmine put the letter in her bag and looked around once again. Her letter can wait, now who to talk to?
Jasmine saw one of the older Sournois students walk to the Rouerie table and join some random people automatically. Jasmine sighed and contemplated. Does she dare walk over and be so bold? Perhaps she could try. Collecting her things like she saw the older student do, Jasmine stood out of her seat and walked over to the Rouerie table, for some reason feeling very nervous. She didn't have to look very hard to find a boy sitting at the Rouerie table who looked a little older than she was. Suppressing her nerves, Jasmine walked over to the boy and asked,
"Excuse me, may I sit with you?"
