He couldn't eat it. He could not eat the food at all. It just was not tasty. He wanted it in a triangle shape, but... no matter how hard he tried, the drumstick just would not be made into a triangular shape.
Shi-on stared intently at his drumstick on his plate, sitting at the Rouerie table. He picked it up, and squished it with his fingers, trying to make it into a triangle shape. His housemates sitting at the same table stared at him, wondering what this boy is doing.
Shi-on threw down the drumstick on his plate and stood up, a blank look on his face. It seemed like he was going somewhere. He stood still, his shoulders hunched over like he was timid, and he glanced around in a timid fashion.
Then he walked with small steps, like a small child, over to the staircases with people watching him, laughing.
"Why is a guy that's an idiot doing in Rouerie? Is the cloak crazy? Putting an idiot in our house..."
--------------
Shi-on made his way towards the stairs and through the door on the right hastily, and approached the painting he knew led to the kitchen. He stared at the painting for about 3 seconds.
Then he said out loud: "The Kitchens are located directly below the Dining Chamber. To get to the kitchens, take the door to the right of the main staircase in the entrance hall. Follow the corridor until you come to a painting of vegetables. Tickle the carrot and it becomes a door handle," Shi-on finished, and he looked at the painting, reaching out to tickle the carrot. It turned into a door handle at once. Shi-on pulled on it, and the painting opened to reveal a busy kitchen filled with house-elves and the great aroma of food.
The tall, hunched over boy blinked timidly, as if intimidated by the sudden exposure to such a bustling and crowded room. Then he moved forwards, staring around the room.
"Wow. This is so cool. It is my first time here." Shi-on said to no one in particular. Inside, he was awed by how many house-elves there were, preparing the food for the students everyday.
"Students are not allowed in here!" A house-elf holding about a hundred plates stopped in front of Shi-on with some difficultly, looking up at the 1.8 m tall boy.
Shi-on blinked, his cheek twitching as he looked down at the house-elf. He was really tiny and short compared to Shi-on. "M-M-May.. M-May I ask... if there are any, any, any, triangle shaped r-rice? I would like to h-have that. It is called..." Shi-on stammered, and paused for awhile, looking away to think about what it was called. Then it came to mind and he nodded, turning back to the house-elf. "...Ah! O-O-Onigiri."
"Mr. Student, please go back up... We're busy preparing dinner. There will be rice balls, there will be rice balls! So please!" The house-elf cried, and scuttled off with the pile of dishes, looking as if the dish-tower might lose it's balance and crash down anytime.
"P-Please wait a moment! Please wait a moment!" Shi-on cried after the house-elf, but everyone was too busy to listen to him. Shi-on looked around the room, and gave a small sigh.

✘ Magnolia sat at the Cossu table with her head resting on one hand while the other hand's fingers tapped against the table. All these things showed the world that sh was, indeed, bored out of her mind. Dinner was always such a boring affair, everyone continuing on with their lives around her. It wasn't that she couldn't find some friends to sit with during meal times it was simply she didn't want to and usually used the time to do homework. However dinner was too bustling to really get any work done and she learned the hard way that i was best to not even try. One particular evening she'd been working on Charms when someone had spilled their pumpkin juice on it and Magnolia had almost bit their head off she was so angry. Instead she had sent a simple hex their way and called it even. Sometimes she would go and sit with her older sister, Rowan, at the Sournois table but she simply could not put up with the weird looks she got every single night. So, Magnolia sat at the Cossu table, absent-mindedly nodding along with whomever she was sitting with's conversation.
Suddenly, there was a commotion over at the Rouerie table that caught Magnolia's attention, causing her to sit up straighter and look their way. She didn't really interact with Rouerie, not there was anything wrong with them but they just weren't her people. Also, she found that, on occasion, that they could be snooty and holier-than-thou, so similar to how Magnolia was that they would usually butt heads. But she was never one to miss out on drama so she watched with interest as a boy she'd never seen before timidly walk away from the table, hunched over as a few of his housemates heckled him. Raising her brows, Magnolia decided that, since her curiosity was piqued, she might as well figure out what was going on. Standing up, she quickly followed the boy out of the Dining Hall, trying to catch up with him. The followed him through the halls and right to what she knew as the kitchen. Things were only getting more and more interesting and she couldn't wait to get to the bottom of what was going on.
Magnolia frowned as the other student interacted with the house elves. While they were often more than accommodating, they had no patience for dealing with students before, after and during meals. Taking pity on him, Magnolia entered the kitchen and walked up to a house elf. Using all her commanding airs she said, "Excuse me but the student did not ask for rice balls, they asked for..." she paused and glanced over her shoulder at the boy. "What was it you wanted again?" She flashed him a quick smile and waited for an answer. Magnolia was far from shy but her closest sister, Rowan, was and she understood how hard it could make life.

"Excuse me but the student did not ask for rice balls, they asked for... What was it you wanted again?"
Shi-on blinked and watched as a girl student suddenly appeared beside him, and tried to help him call after the house-elf. Shi On stared at the girl with a blank gaze as he listened to her sentence. And then he nodded. "Onigiri. It is steamed rice wrapped with seaweed and is often pressed and shaped into a triangular shape. Sometimes, rice seasoning or fillings are added to make it more palatable or for added taste. It is a very healthy snack. It is very popular in Asia, particularly in Japan, Korea and China." Si On said all that very quickly. Then he stopped immediately, standing there with his shoulders hunched in that timid fashion, his head tilted to one side with a blank expression on his face. His fingers were in front of him, and he plucked at his fingernails unconsciously.
After a few seconds, he seemed to realise something. "Ah," Si On said. His gaze had drifted for awhile, but now that he seemed to remember something, he turned it back to the girl again. He bowed at a 45 degree angle and straightened up almost immediately. It seemed like a form of formal greeting. "Pardon my impoliteness. My name is Park Si On. I am in the house of Rouerie in the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, France. I come from Seoul, South Korea. My social registration number is 203xxxx393..." Si On spoke like a bullet train, and finally he trailed off, staring off in another direction again.

✘ Magnolia felt a slight sense of accomplishment when the student caught on to her prompting and shared his order. Having grown up in a magical household she was well-experience in dealing with house elves and sometimes you had to be commanding to get them to listen to you if they weren't your house elf. Although, the boy had pushed out his order rather fast but she simply figured that some people were just like that and she herself had more than a few quirks. Turning back, she nodded at the house elf as if stating for them to get on with it but quickly added, "And make it enough for two!" Considering she was going out of her way to get the other stupid his Onigiri, Magnolia figured she should try some for herself.
After the house elf scurried away to prepare their food, she turned back to the guy and opened her mouth for an introduction when he quickly spun towards her and bowed quickly. Magnolia's brows ticked up as he did so as she was fairly certain no one had ever bowed to her before and his bow had seem so formal and precise, it was nearly flattering. Her brows only climbed higher as he began to spew information at her. She managed to catch a few details, such as his name but the rest was just too fast - faster even than when he'd placed his order with the house elf. In response, she simply smiled at him and offered an introduction in return, "Hey, I'm Magnolia!" Then continued on, "You were hardly being impolite, I swear, it's all cool. I'm in Cossu and come from Versailles." Magnolia tried to school her expression in to her usual laid back smile as she took in Si On staring off in to the distance. It was weird but not in a way that required her to act differently around him.
(Thanks for letting me know! c:)

"And make it enough for two!"
Shi On shifted slightly on his feet, looking down at the floor as he tapped his fingers together. He then took in a deep breath. "You..." Shi On started, looking around, then back to the girl again. "You too, like onigiri, Lady?" Shi On said. Then he saw that the house-elf had listened to her, and went off to make what he wanted. Deep down inside, Shi On was very excited and grateful. Because when he had tried, he did not know what to do to make the house elf listen to him. Shi On turned to Magnolia, and bowed again, in the same way. "Ah, thank you very much for helping me." Shi On still looked rather blank as he stood there.
"Hey, I'm Magnolia!" Then continued on, "You were hardly being impolite, I swear, it's all cool. I'm in Cossu and come from Versailles."
Shi On looked up at her to look at her face, and then back down at the ground again. "Ah, you have a very pretty name. Your name is the name of a pretty flower. You are also pretty like that flower," Shi On kept looking over at the house elf preparing his onigiri, watching with hidden excitement at the making of his favourite food (it is also the only thing he ever eats for his meals). He licked his pink lips slightly, as he thought about the onigiri.

According to TIOBE Index, Go and objective C are the fastest growing languages over the past twelve months. They obtain their results on a monthly basis by indexing. Indexing is updated using the data obtained by the links to certified programmers, training and software vendors. This data is assembled for TIOBE via the Google, Bing, Yahoo, Wikipedia and YouTube search engines. The results was more predictable for Objective C as it is the language of the iPhone and Mac, and Apple is running strong in the market. However, this result gets more interesting because it has not been long since the Technology Darling introduced her own programming language called GO.

✘ In all honesty, Magnolia was rather amused by what was happening between her and Shi On. He was just so much more interesting (and therefore, in her eyes, better) than everyone else. She watched on with a faint smile as awkwardly stood there shifting. Having met so many people in her life up until now, she tended to become bored with people quickly and move on to the next one that came along. She realized it happened but, even when she tried to stop it, it kept happening time and time again as it was just who she was. When Shi On shifted his gaze to her she prepared herself for some more of his unique conversation. Magnolia almost felt bad when she had to shake her head at Shi On's question - she'd never had it before. She was well versed in fine French cuisine (thanks to her family's housekeeper) but as soon as anyone asked her about other food she'd be completely lost. "Uhm, nope! But if you're so adamant about having it I figure I might as well try it," she informed him cheerfully. Magnolia was always cheerful when meeting new people and doing new things and when she was right.
Flattered, she blushed at his compliment. It was very rarely that someone would bust out a compliment like that so early in a conversation without hidden motives. Magnolia talked to a lot of people, she knew this. But when it came from Shi On it seemed naturally and genuine and all the more sweet. "Ah, thank you. My siblings and I are all named after trees. It's a thing in my family, I was just lucky not to end up with Castoraralia," she shared with him, as she always did when people asked about her name. She liked Magnolia and thought it suited her well as all her sibling's names suited them in one way or another. She ran a hand through her hair self consciously as she watched Shi On watch the house elf make his onigri and felt proud. She done that, she'd helped him. It felt nice to do some good.
After a few moments of awkward silence, Magnolia asked, "Why do you love onigri so much? What else do you like?" and flashed a quick smile.

"Ah, thank you. My siblings and I are all named after trees. It's a thing in my family, I was just lucky not to end up with Castoraralia,"
Shi On blinked, his head turning a little as he listened to Magnolia's explanation about her name. "...Castoraralia. Pfft." Shi On said, looking at Magnolia and imagining her growing up and looking like the Castora Ralia tree instead - full of thorns and bumps and generally very boring. He seemed to be laughing at her. "Pfft..." He made that laughing sound again, but his face was still pretty blank.
The house elf, at this time, finished making the rice balls and scuttled over, handing both of them to Shi On. Shi On took it carefully, looking down at the house elf with some wonder, very much like a child seeing something very interesting. "Thank you very much," Shi On said and bowed slightly again. The house elf appeared quite startled, before scuttling back towards the kitchen. Shi On stared after the house elf as if it was a really strange sight.
"Here." Shi On walked over timidly to Magnolia and held out one of the rice balls, covered with a seaweed wrap, towards her. His eyes were diverted, as if he were quite shy. Perhaps he was.
"Why do you love onigri so much? What else do you like?"
Shi On looked up at Magnolia, and took in a deep breath before speaking. "Onigiri has a triangular shape. I like the triangular shape when I eat it. When I chomp the pointy part of the rice ball, it tastes very good and it feels very funny. That is why I like it very, very much." Shi On then paused, thinking about the second part of the questions. "Ummmm..." Shi On said, as he thought about his answer. Then his eyes brightened a little when he thought of an answer. "Ah! I also like to drink yogurt and fermented milk with the onigiri. When I drink it, it is very sweet. The Onigiri is very salty. So I like it because it is very sweet and tasty in contrast to the salty onigiri. However, I cannot get cold fermented milk in Hogwarts. So it makes me very sad," Shi On finished, and stared up at Magnolia, hoping that she would agree with him. He pressed lightly on the onigiri in his hand and licked his lips again. It seemed like he is waiting for Magnolia to start eating first before he did.
Perhaps it was because it was polite to do so?
