Nhim had come to Egypt with her mother and father on a summer holiday. On the fifth day of her stay in Alexandria she had been aimlessly wandering the streets, looking for something to catch her interest. It just so happened that her feet took her to the port and her interest was caught by a brown, young, burly man named George. Nhim went back to the port every day after that to see her young man. They were engaged exactly a year after they first met. Nhim had never gone home with her parents after journeying to Egypt on holiday, but had bought a rundown apartment in the middle of town. George had helped to her fix it up and move in. It became a home away from home for the young couple. George had spent a week fretting about how to ask Nhim to marry him before the fateful day. He finally asked her after dropping the engagement in a boiling pot of soup. Nhim had to fish it out with a spoon and they both had wait till it had cool before George could slip it onto her finger. Even before she’d fished the ring out she’d said yes. Two years later, on the eleventh of March 1996, Bonamy Peeta Fredrick-Summers was born. Her father and her mother were delighted to find they had a healthy baby girl. Peeta Lily Fredrick, Nhim’s mother, who had moved in with them after her husband had passed away, was even more delighted to find she had a pretty little granddaughter. It was even more of a delight a few months later when there was a knock on the door and they were told they also had a little witch on their hands. The first three years of her life was spent in pink dresses and nappies, within a room of pink walls and decorations, and with an assortment of pink toys to keep her company. Perhaps it was due to this overexposure to pink that eventually turned Bon away from anything associated with the stereotypical girly girl. Upon her third birthday, when presented with yet another pink, flowery dress from a second cousin, she finally drew the line and expressed this to her parents by staining said dress beyond repair. War was declared and her parents fought and fought for years to keep their precious little girl in pink. ‘No’ became Bon’s weapon of choice until her parents finally submitted and let her wear shorts and jeans like the boys in her kindergarten. After that her parents seemed to lose interest in how Bon dressed or acted. She ran wild with the boys of her neighbourhood playing soccer, tearing through the streets of the city and trespassing into the Roman Theatre. Despite her parents insistence that she make use of her witch abilities, Bon found little interesting in doing so and even avoided using her them. She didn’t particularly dislike being a witch but so far she had done well for herself without her abilities and so she didn’t see any reason to make use of them. So she continued the way she always had, running with the wild pack of boys until she was no longer a little child but a little teenager. On her eleventh birthday, as with every other witch or wizard of her age, Bon received a letter of acceptance. This one was to attend Beauxbaton Academy. Peeta, as soon as she found out Bon was a witch, had written to the school and asked for a place for her granddaughter. Peeta’s mother had been a witch and had attended Beauxbaton Academy when she had been a child. This of course meant that Bon would have to leave Alexandria and live in France. This didn’t sit well with the young girl. She wouldn’t talk to her grandmother for weeks afterwards, feeling as if she had been betrayed. This was painful as her grandmother and she usually got on like a house on fire, both being very similar in appearance and behavior. Convinced that this was the best for everyone, George put in his resignation at the port, Nhim left her job at the local school and the family packed up and shipped off to France. They moved into the house that had been Peeta’s family home. It was old and falling apart at the seams, but they all fell in love with upon first glance. It was a pretty little house that had been given to a cousin, who had then abandoned it. The ‘for sale’ sign had been there for years and after a while it was simply forgotten about. Only the locals checked in on it now and again. Bon and the family moved in, fixed the place up to make it habitable and began to settle in. The neighborhood was friendly, if a little distant and there was an old vineyard close by, where Bon ran off to, to watch the clouds. | ooc info ☆ NAME ALYSSA ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS ISSA HEMMINGWAY ☆ FACE CLAIM MERETHE HOLAND THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO ALYSSA.
