Idea of perfect happiness Being at school with her sister, surrounded by numerous friends Trait you most deplore in yourself Self doubt which stems from her fear of exclusion Most outlandish lie She and her sister used to swap names, and tell their parents 'I'm not Issa/Olivie. She is!' despite the fact they are not twins, and look nothing alike. Greatest love A music box that her mother gave to her Your hero of fiction Peter Pan Best way to die Quidditch death; bludger to the head History Although Issa was born on the South Island of New Zealand, she doesn't consider herself a local. Her parents Jon and Cora owned a couple hundred acres inland from a port town called Timaru. They grazed sheep, and looked after the few barnyard animals they'd acquired. Daisy the cow kept them supplied with fresh milk, and daily bumps and bruises. Double and Trouble, the two piglets, often attempted escape but never got very far. The orchard flowered during the spring, and died over the winter, always producing enough fruit to keep them the year long. It was a simple life but fulfilling in the best of ways. This was the life into which Issa came. She enjoyed the short time she lived there; gorging herself on the fallen fruits, stumbling after Brandy the dog, and spending the nights curled up with the two cats Angus McTavish McTool and Nelson Horatio Snotgrass. At six months old her father left overseas to Africa to work in Sudan. Shortly after she and her mother followed him there. They lived on a small reserve for five months. Having no memories of the place, or her time there Issa cherishes the stories her mother tells her; they'd been in the marketplace when a local woman had asked her mother if she could hold the little baby, and distracted for only a moment Cora had lost sight of her baby and the local woman. As it turned out the woman had taken Issa to her family home to show everyone what a white baby looked like. After Africa they lived in New Zealand for only one more year, before moving to Australia where her younger sister Olivie was born. The girls jumped from school to school, bouncing from country to country as they spent their holidays visiting grandparents overseas, and never really settling. They spent two years living in Indonesia, in the city of Kupang. Life was simple again. They attended classes with an American lady whose English was entirely different to theirs. The afternoons they spent in the kitchen with Nenna the housekeeper baking muffins, and arguing about whose turn it was to lick out the bowl. On weekends they played with the local children, communicating in a language all of their own, and once a month they participated in the local Hash House Harriers. In the winter of Issa's ninth year they returned to Australia only to leave again nine months later. France was nice enough. They moved into a simple two story house in a town by the name of Montmedy, close to the Belgian border. Jon worked nearby on a local vineyard while Cora started at the Musee, giving guided tours of the old citadel every Saturday. The girls attended a local school, struggling with the language, and frustrated with the prospect of having to make new friends. Because of their lifestyle Olivie and Issa had learned to rely on one another entirely. They knew that no matter what they would always be together, and that was no likely to change. But then of course it did. On her eleventh birthday Issa received a letter from Beauxbaton Academy of Magic. She was a witch. From that day on things seemed to fly by in a blurred rush until she was suddenly being whisked away from her family towards something she didn't understand, and feared. Her first year at the academy was surprising, eye opening, and awe inspiring. She made friends with other young witches and wizards of her age, discovered that she wasn't all that bad at magic, and learned to cope with feelings of homesickness. She wrote daily to Olivie, and once every fortnight to her parents. Holidays with her family became something of a novelty which she delighted in, and the years past. On her eleventh birthday Olivie received her own letter, and joined her sister at the academy. | ooc info ☆ NAME ALYSSA ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS BONAMY SUMMERS ☆ FACE CLAIM HOLLAND RODEN THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO ALYSSA.
