The RP is AU after Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. As such the events of Order of the Phoenix, Halfblood Prince and Deathly Hallows have not happened in our timeline.
The school year of 1994-1995 has just ended with the end of the Tri-Wizard Tournament and the return of Lord Voldemort. Many have yet to discover the news and those that have believe it to be a false lie by Harry Potter and Dumbledore. The Ministry released a statement that any reports by Dumbledore on the subject were false lies and should be disregarded. In a Press Conference the week after the end of the school year Minister Cornelius Fudge was quoted saying : "It is impossible for the darkest wizard of our time to have returned, he is dead and there is nothing to fear."
The current state of events encircling the belief that Voldemort may or may not be alive is contested heavily and most of the Wizarding World holds to the belief that they are safe and he is dead. In and effort to prepare for the worst, Dumbledore has began to reform The Order of the Phoenix and is working diligently to prepare for the new war that is to come.
