Below are a list of items required for class, including required readings by term.
BASICS
[Suggested but not Required]
*Parchment or a plain notebook
*Basic Quills, excluding all magicked self-writing, self-answering or self-correcting quills
*Black or blue ink
*1 Regular Ink Eraser
OR a student stationary set
Note-taking is not required but highly suggested in the class. Some essay writing will be required for homework.
WAND
All types of wands are permitted, however wands with unicorn-hair core have been known to struggle with actually completing dark spells. Students are welcome to borrow a specific practice wand of dragon-heartstring or phoenix feather, however students with certified unicorn-hair wands are not penalized for wand difficulties.
SHIELDS
Sixth and Seventh Years are the only students permitted to bring shield gloves, hats, or any other item equipped with shield spells. For each other section, the items are forbidden. However, amulets and charms to ward off long-lasting damage are permitted so long as they do not interfere with the student's learning.
BOOKS
Readings marked with * can be found at both the Book Nook and The Darkest Shop. All others can only be found at the Darkest Shop. (The exception is A Beginner's Guide which can only be found at The Book Nook). You are highly encouraged to visit The Darkest Shop and come to class with questions about items you have seen in the store.

*Basic Hexes for the Busy and Vexed- 10G (optional)
SECTION 3 (Sixth & Seventh Years)
*Book of Advanced Curses- 10-15G*
*Potions of the Dark Arts and What They Do- Alastor Moody- 10-15G*
*Powers You Never Knew You Had and What To Do With Them Now You've Wised Up Charms - 30G
If you are unable to purchase any of these items, please contact me and I can arrange for you to help me outside of class in order to borrow a book. Make sure your books are purchased before the first class, however as I will be checking the inventories! [/size]
