As he stood there, Roy couldn't help but wonder whether Yuki was just going to turn tail and run. Either that, or just act outright cold towards him. Although the latter was harder to believe since he knew very well that Yuki didn't have a bad bone in his body, let alone be cruel enough to act entirely emotionless, although when push came to shove almost anyone could be that way under the right circumstances. Then as Yuki spoke, Roy nodded. "Five minutes ago? That sounds about right, the party seems to barely have started yet anyway," he replied, allowing his wandering eyes to pick people at random to watch for the moment. It seemed like an odd bunch of people who knew each other, but then who was he to judge? He was the one with the unstable mental issues, hell, sometimes he even couldn't help but wonder if Nova was just a frigmant of his imagination, and that he was going crazy. All the things that had happened within the past few years had been a bit too vivid to be completely fantasy though, he'd give the demon props for that at least. Even if most of the things that had happened were kinda bad and usually landed him in the hospital wing if Nova decided not to heal him, which happened more than he cared to admit. Ah well, it was practically the start of a brand new year, and thinking too much of bad things would probably have jinxed his luck, so for now on Valentines Day he decided to focus on.. Yuki? Somehow it seemed a tad bit wrong, especially with how they left things and the whole scandal revolving around divorce papers and stuff. Roy sighed and shook his head, forcing all stray thoughts away. This was a party, a Valentines Day party no less which was another reason why thoughts of his past with Yuki trickled to the surface, but he had to get past it. They were both adults, far from being children, so he had to know when to let go, and it had been ages since he'd last seen Yuki too, besides the last time when they had stumbled into each other in one of the towers. "I'm... fine I suppose... never better!" he flashed a grin quickly at Yuki, hoping that it didn't look as wary as he felt. He quickly turned and snatched up a glass of a peculiar looking drink from the nearest table, then proceeded to down it in one go. Once finished, the hand holding the glass dropped - although he was cautious about dropping it - and he took a deep breath before exhaling again. "Tastes odd, but in a pleasent way I suppose..." he mumbled to himself before quickly glancing up at Yuki again, unaware that he had closed his eyes and directed himself to look at the floor. "I'm sorry. How are you, Yuki? Oh, and no, I didn't want to... take part in a blind date thing, who knows what I'd end up with." He chuckled a but, his features shifting into one of distaste for a second before becoming slightly more relaxed. Of course that was until something bowled into him. Or maybe he was exaggerating a bit due to being on edge. It was actually Penelope, he noticed as he sideglanced at her as he and Yuki were pulled into a hug, thus decreasing the distance between them a bit. "Penelope," he started, smiling as he turned to address the female vampire. He'd known Penelope for quite a long time, almost since he first started at Beaubatons, so he was quite aware that all formalities would be dropped with them. Once again, another person he hadn't seen in a long time though, and since she and Yuki were best friends... well, he couldn't help but be wary if Yuki told her some stuff about him, about the attempt at divorce, thus turning her against him in some way. She seemed to be too friendly towards him for that to be so though. "Not half as great as you, I'm afraid. Good enough to eat... or I'd say that if I was Calcifer. Speaking of whom, where is said vampire? You two still going at it or is there another blood thirsty monster lurking in the wings?" Roy joked, turning away for a moment just to glance around the room to see if said vampire was around. Nothing. It was only a matter of time he supposed. "Unless..." he raised an eyebrow. "You two taking part in the blind date thing?" he then enquired, raising an eyebrow in a genuine act of curiousity.[/blockquote]

It only now hit her how odd it was to see him dressed up like this; looking like a proper gentleman. She quickly straightened her dress as she was feeling slightly nervous, but truly hoped it didn't show. Possibly no one even noticed how her finger tips kept moving against the fabric of her dress or how she kept crossing her fingers and then unfolding them again. This always happened when she was near to him and she couldn't help herself. All she could hope was that Jae Syun would be totally oblivious to all this. Where had all of her confidence gone?
After getting the last one up, him lifting the other corner and her the other one, everything looked ready and perfect. But what now? Once again she crossed her fingers and let them hang on top of her tummy before turning to look at Jae Syun again, "Care for drinks? I think we deserve something to drink and eat after all this heavy lifting." She smirked at him and then turned to look towards the table to see if anyone was over there. A part of her wished there would be more people with whom they could go over to and talk to, so that the two wouldn't be left alone and she wouldn't be feeling the butterflies that badly, but then the other part did hope the two could just be left alone and talk about... well about whatever crossed their mind, get to know each other better.
It seemed that Hyo Joon, Alegra, Maeve and Drystan were near the other end of the table, so Nyu Ri went to the other end taking a glass of butterbeer and offering one for Jae Syun as well while smiling slightly and then looking around again, trying to think of something to say. "There's quite a nice gathering here already." She hadn't even noticed that more people had come there; Jae Syun always managed to get her distracted. "Um, so... How long have you exactly known Hyo Joon? You two seem really close. Like brothers I'd say." She spoke while looking towards the said boy and the other guests. It surprised him that Hyo Joon had any close friends because he seemed so selfish and stubborn most of the time. He and her didn't get along very well anyway. But Jae Syun had a really kind heart, so maybe he did understand him somehow. Or at least had the patience to stand him. Oh well, maybe Hyo Joon did have his good sides as well. He just hadn't showed them to her.

Purple eyes flashed as a pale figure leaned on the trunk of one of the outer trees of the forest, looking as though he was carefully watching and waiting for something. He'd been outside for around half a day now, not caring about such trivial things like classes and socializing with the students, and instead adopted his old ways of hanging around outside, where he felt like he was almost free, where he could stay for ages and ages, not caring or giving a damn about anything... until, that was, he next felt thirsty. Oh sure, there were lots of creatures and animals running around deeper into the woods and at his feet, but he wasn't a scavenger - far from it. Even if he was dying he would never stoop so low as to drink vermin, which made him pity his last 'donator' a bit. Calcifer did go a bit too far where getting blood was concerned - he drained people almost to the point of death, and on those rare occasions when he didn't, he left the person somewhere close by in case he needed what remained of them, such as was the case here.
Half glancing at the unconscious person lying behind the tree he had previously been standing next to, he half smirked, violet eyes shining brightly again - a big indication that he had drank his fill, as his eyes normally darkened to purple and then to black when he was low on blood and extremely thirsty. He turned to glance up at the school, his eyes widening as if just remembering something. "Ah yes, a party.." he murmured, looking down and giving himself a once over. Plain white button up shirt, black pants and converse shoes. He looked borderline casual as well as formal, rfeally for any occasion he suspected. And he was quite ready for this one at least anyway. He quite enjoyed going to parties, blending in, pretending to be one of the many - it was a neat trick that managed to lead to him getting free dinner more times than he could count, and they were always quite willing as well, as far as he could recall.
But as he made his way towards the main school building, and the room of requirement where the event was being held, he recalled the parties he attended in the past were filled with more... adult guests. He had a feeling that the people going to this one were all just students, sucking on butterbeer through straws and what have you. It was the best entertainment he was most likely going to get this year though, so all he could do was grin and bare it. And if he was lucky, maybe a certain vampiress he was extremely acquainted with would appear too, that would certainly make his night, he was silently betting on it with himself.
Arriving at his destination, he walked in and barely spared a blink for what he saw around him. Too much pink... he thought, arching an eyebrow at the decorations. He barely even had to glance around further before his hugely above average eyesight landed upon someone he had been sparing more than a minute thinking about earlier. With another slight smirk on his lips, he walked over to where a few students were hanging around talking, although walking was a bit of an overstatement because Calcifer rarely just walked anywhere, not unless he needed to blend in, and he knew enough people here and they knew exactly what he was, which made things either more amusing or more mundane, he hadn't quite decided yet.
"Careful, Mustang, you wouldn't want me to think that there's someone out there for Penelope other than myself," Calcifer drawled, as he slid up behind Penelope, a hand ever so slightly caressing her waist as he stopped in front of Roy and Yuki and gave the alchemist a dangerous look before turning back to the female at his side. "I'm not tardy am I, mademoiselle?" he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper as he looked at Penelope, and only her, as if he had forgotten everyone else and that she was the only person in the room. "It has been a while after all, I admit. I seem to only keep you waiting these days... although... you weren't exactly waiting or looking out for me, were you?" His eyes narrowed and head tilted as he observed her. No, he didn't expect that she was waiting for him, but all the same, there was no shame in asking, he at least didn't want to assume that she was anyway, not when there was so many other people who probably had her attention. (Terrible as usual, I know ;- [/blockquote]

Alegra shook her head slightly with a smile when Nyu Ri brushed off her praise. It wasn't the first time, and it certainly wouldn't be the last, but she really admired the vampire. She was sensational. And irretrievably modest. When she went off to assist Jae Syun, Alegra turned her eyes back to Hyo Joon, wondering for about a tenth of a second why he hadn't gone off to help him, or even paid attention to Jae's situation. She didn't mind at all, though. She just grinned at his lack of humility. He did look great, after all. She started to nod as she reached for another heart shaped cupcake, but froze with her arm still extended, and looked at Hyo Joon with a raised eyebrow. "Really? ... Romeo and Juliet, huh." she acted thoughtful, like she was considering her cupcake, and bit the bullet. Well, cupcake.
Not bad.
"Mmmmm," She said, her voice muffled and amused. After she had finished chewing, she licked her thumb and wiped the red icing left on Hyo's lip after he had bit into it. "I guess we'll just have to die together some other time." She said lightly, and smirked. It was a silly notion, to say the least. That was one of the things she liked about Hyo Joon. Sure, he always seemed to take himself seriously, but he really didn't. Well, when he was with Alegra, conversation between them was usually amiable. So far nothing had been too serious, but they were just getting to know each other, weren't they? She liked it better this way. There was a saying that she had heard, after all. 'Some stars burn twice as bright, but only half as long.' She thought that was how it went.
"So, Drystan." She said, turning to someone who she's admittedly always had a strange relationship with, but always thought of as an old friend. Like with his sister. "What's going to be crawling out of that piñata, anyway? Beetles?" She teased, poking the love heart with uncertainty. "Spiders?"

Generally wasting no time in the act, Drystan strutted towards Hyo, pinata under one arm and stopped behind him. Then in one swift movement, leaned over and blew a long and small gust of wind into the boys ear. Hyo initially - as the kitsune had walked through the door - seemed quite tense, although that quickly seemed to vanish as he was distracted by looking at other people, more specifically Jae Syun and the always enchanting Nyu Ri. Drystan's green slitted eyes flicked over to those two and a small smirk graced his lips before he redirected his attention back to the asian beside him again. He'd have some fun with those two later, for now.. his attention was far from divided. "All alone, Hyo-chan?" Drystan asked, his voice sounding as bright as if he was actually happy and content about something, although his eyes and facial expression reflected something truly vindictive and menacing, his tongue almost snake like sliding out as if he was going to..... And then, as if torn out of his own little world, a very familiar chime of a voice brought him back down to reality.
"ALEGRA! How art thou?!!! he asked loudly, his expression lightening up as, with one hand, he shoved Hyo aside and stepped forward so that he was facing the girl who just spoke to him. Drystan arched a delicate eyebrow at her as she addressed the object he was holding. "Oh this? You're not far from the correct answer. Impressive." he replied, giving her a slight nod in satisfaction. "Inside is actually a severed head, which I had to discuise you see just in case it frightens the people here. Don't see why it would though, it's quite charming if you look at it for long enough." He frowned slightly as he looked down at it, then raised the hand holding the pinata towards her. "Anyway, if you smash the pinata slash severed head with something candy beatles and other such insects drop out! Truth be told, the insects arn't actually candy and taste vile when eating them, but it's not as if you'd be knocked dead by them, so...." He reached into his pocket and pulled out what appeared to be a writhing centipede... Immediately he turned to Hyo, his eyes narrowing and his usual smirk appearing again. He raised the insect so that iit was dangling right in front of the asian boy's eyes. "Try it, wont you, Hyo dearest?" Pretty soon the valentines day party, in quite possibly everyone else's eyes, was turning into something much much worse. As he turned away from Hyo, the insect still waving around, he smiled at Alegra. "So then, you've done a nice job with this place. Why did you not let me help with the... decorations though?" He tilted his head in a very questioning way as he recalled asking Alegra once or twice a while before the party if he could have helped with stuff. Both times she turned him away, which made him feel slightly disappointed, but hey, she told him he could bring a party game of his choice, so here he was, and what a game it was, or was going to be... Drystan emitted a small chuckle to himself. Yes, indeed he was quite mad, and that wasn't really good news for anyone in the room at this time. [I'm just rambling on ;-; and it's about the content not the amount, so you're doing fine~ xDD][/blockquote]

He could see that something had been on Roy’s mind, something troubling, but he felt it would be wiser not to ask any questions. It just made him a bit worried for him, thinking that he was stressed about something. What kind of troubles could Roy possibly have? Ah, perhaps it was somehow related to Nova. That would make sense. Or maybe it was… relationship trouble? He wasn’t dating was he? Wait, he shouldn’t think about such things. Not now, not ever. It was none of his business. And the less he knew the better. Yuki Ishida, are you feeling jealous? The voice of the spirit echoed in his head and he felt like hitting his head against the wall; he had a feeling that Yuji would use this against him at some point. No. Why would I be? We’re just friends. He knew how ridiculous that had sounded the moment he had thought it and right away regretted answering anything to his dear brother. He should just keep his thoughts locked away so that no one, not even himself, could access them.
He was about to reply to Roy about how he was, but then heard a familiar voice which belonged to his best friend. “Hey!” He replied cheerfully, hugging her back so tightly that for a moment he was afraid he would break her bones, but eh, that was impossible, for him anyway. She was billion times stronger than he was after all. Perhaps he should rather worry that she would accidentally break a bone or two from his body, but he trusted in her and knew she was enough careful. For a moment he wondered what it would be like to be a vampire, but he knew that it wasn’t such a good idea and decided to just concentrate on the party. For sure he would be a terrible vampire anyway. …Possibly kill himself because of all the guilt. You’re too good. It’s lame. Stop it. Be BAD. Or better yet… turn into a vampire and kill yourself so that I can get your body. Yuji sounded awfully bored and was obviously waiting for something interesting to happen. Gee brother, I love you too… Yuki replied to him sarcastically as he rolled his eyes not really caring if anyone saw it.
As soon as Calcifer was mentioned though his stomach twisted uncomfortably and half of him wished that the said vampire wouldn’t be coming while the other half… well, of course he hoped that he would arrive, because of Penelope. He knew how much she cared for him, but he had never understood exactly why. Just like Nova, Calcifer made Yuki feel terrified. And… God, there he was. Just when he’s mentioned he just appears. What kind of trick is that? Yuki nodded to him as a greeting, not wanting to be rude, although he did took a few slow steps backwards so that he was now kind of behind Roy. Much better. He felt a lot more safe. Little by little he felt like he was able to breathe again as he kept staring at Roy’s back, his own haven. Yes, that’s what Roy was to him. His cologne filled his lungs and for a moment he felt like he should lean against him, but soon came back to his senses and pulled himself back together. Bad Yuki, bad.
He wasn’t quite sure who was more powerful, Nova or Calcifer, but kind of hoped it would be Nova. …Or wait… what? He didn’t want anything to happen to Calcifer! Penelope would be devastated. He only cares about Nova, because he lives in Roy’s body. Otherwise he wouldn’t care if said demon would lose. Ugh, what kind of terrible thoughts he’s having! Better yet Yuki… if the two fought and killed each other! That would be a blast now wouldn’t it? Let me take control and push them a bit. “What the…” Once again he accidentally blurted out something that he shouldn’t have. It just really was hard to stay quiet and pretend that everything is ok while a demon spirit rages inside your head. “Ahem, excuse me, my throat is a bit dry…” He tried coughing a few times, though his acting was quite poor, but still he quickly moved over to the table to get a refill of butterbeer. Stop! Not now! You’re bothering me on purpose. Why do you always want to embarrass me? Yuki thought and took a sip from the mug, his back still facing everyone else as he tried to collect himself and calm down. Oh Yuki, you’re doing it just fine on your own.

The day would have been pretty much perfect if Drystan just hadn’t shown up. He could have enjoyed his time with Alegra and with his other friends without any kinds of worry and just have fun. Share the love! That’s what Valentine’s Day is about, right? Not about ruining others day, that’s what Drystan was doing. At times Hyo Joon felt like Drystan was born to this world just to bug the hell out of him, torture him and bully him. The name Drystan didn’t fit him at all, ‘Bad omen’, ‘misfortune dealer’ or just simply ‘the devil’ would fit him much better!
Too focused in his thoughts Hyo Joon hadn’t realized at all that Drystan had just walked behind him. His mind went completely blank and his eyes closed automatically when he felt someone familiar blowing in his ear before speaking, “All alone, Hyo-chan?” causing shivers go down his spine and he truly wished no one noticed any of this happening. Words got stuck in his throat and he wasn’t able to reply anything, not that his mind could even think of any. His body had completely frozen so although he kept telling himself to kick or punch the male next to him he couldn’t. He couldn’t do anything. He just stood there like a freaking statue. Only after the other male was gone and distracted by Alegra, Hyo Joon was able to move his feet and hands a bit, though of course it was too late by then. His eyes flashed open and for a moment he had to collect himself back together, even let out a very unstable sounding exhale, before he turned to give Drystan a look, hoping that his face was showing how annoyed and angry he was at him. Great. His day was now officially ruined.
Before this Hyo Joon hadn’t actually known how well Drystan and Alegra knew each other, but now that he knew he wasn’t quite sure what to feel. Alegra probably didn’t know a thing about what was going on between him and the kitsune though, so he tried his best not to be angry at her too when she acted so friendly towards him. Still he couldn’t help but to feel a bit annoyed and ignored, so he tried to keep his mouth shut and just looked elsewhere quickly as if not noticing their existence. Childish perhaps, but that’s who he was most of the time. He adored attention and hated to be ignored. Like a puppy. Weren’t his eyes like ones of an adorable puppy as well?
“Great…” He mumbled under his breath as he noticed the next person to enter the room; Calcifer. Old grumpy man. He did enjoy annoying him at times, but he could also be REALLY scary, so… he also kind of ruined the whole Valentine’s Day mood. What was wrong with these people? Why were they so cruel? Live, love and laugh! That’s what life is all about in Hyo’s opinion. It really made him wonder why anyone would even be Calcifer’s friend. Quite possibly he was unable to love anyway. Although he did have Penelope… Eh, but who wouldn’t love her? She was incredibly stunning, beautiful, strong and independent. She deserves someone a lot better, that’s what he thought. And goodness! Drystan had Nettie AND Willow. What was wrong with women these days? Should he become a rude badass as well and then all women would fall for him? He pouted, threw away the rest of the cupcake so that no one would notice and turned to look towards the ceiling. Well, he did need only one person to love him anyway; Alegra. So far it had been great with her. But could you ever know for sure with whom you would spend the rest of your life with? Guess you couldn’t see it yourself, but others were able to see it in you. Like Penelope and Calcifer… guess they somehow completed each other. And Roy and Yuki looked good next to each other. Oh, but they weren’t together, right. Nyu Ri and Jae Syun? He smirked as he looked at them once again. Perfect.
"Try it, wont you, Hyo dearest?"
Hyo Joon stared at Drystan for a moment and then looked at the piñata; was he for real? Insects? Beetles? He gave his ‘are-you-freaking-kidding-me’ –look at Drystan before shaking his head and looked away again. How could one be so insensitive? It was Valentine’s Day! If he had been the one to choose the piñata it would hold inside heart shaped chocolates and heart plushies! That way the Valentine’s Day would be perfect, but no, it hadn’t been him who had been chosen to bring the piñata. This really was turning into a mess, wasn’t it?
Somehow he needed to make the mood a bit better and he did feel like annoying Drystan a bit too. He wanted to steal Alegra back for himself. Therefore he took out his wand, waved it and then the music started. He blinked, hearing a love song coming on first, but… well, possibly all the songs would be love songs, it was Valentine’s after all. He smirked before walking over to Alegra, bowing in front of her and offering his hand to her. “Would you care for a dance, mi’lady?” He gave his most playful smirk as he looked directly into her eyes and indeed he wished she would say yes, so that they could sweep off the floors and make everyone else jealous. That was his plan.

Yuki's embrace brought a smile to her lips, and Penelope looked at him with her dark eyes. Normally they were bright but today they were the same grey of an oncoming storm. It wasn't anything to worry about, but it was an unusually deep shade on her face. Penelope was a little concerned for them, however - Yuki and Roy, that is. They looked pretty friendly right now. What did that mean? Were they still getting a divorce? This was hardly a party conversation, though, and Roy started teasing her in his usual manner. She smiled. "Calcifer?" She repeated, turning her gaze back to Roy. She shrugged slightly. "He's probably out for a bite" she said lamely with a chuckle. Her eyes flickered to Yuki. A bite. She knew the whole thing made Yuki uncomfortable, mostly thanks to the man she just said is probably out feeding. She didn't have to change the subject for him though, cause Roy beat her to it. She looked at them quizzically and shook her head. "I suppose you have not, either." She guessed. "I didn't know they were doing blind dates."
Penelope's invite for the Valentine's Day party arrived later in the day, roughly around the time students began to trump up the stairs to their dormitories. That day just happened to be one of those where the scent of living humans began to make her feel somewhat unsettled. It's occurred with Yuki there now and again. She would notice and disappear, only to return at dawn with the light returned to her eyes. She did spend a majority of her time with him, after all. She didn't exactly tell her best friend what she was doing, but he knew. Few people knew, including many of those who were not entirely human themselves. Take Roy, for example.
Her thoughts were just shifting back to the purple eyed vampire when he appeared at the door. She had her back to him but he definately wasn't about to be overlooked. She was quite familiar with him after all, even if they've spent some time apart. She turned to him and smiled when she saw that his eyes were violet. She also noticed Yuki had moved slightly behind Roy, but didn't frown. Instead, she answered "oh, just fashionably late," and kissed him on the cheek, gently.
Calcifer had her enveloped in him quite easily. A finger slid up the side of his forearm lightly and she shrugged. "I might have been waiting for you," she confessed, but didn't say much else when she noticed the sweet metallic scent on his breath. Ahh.. She could think of no one else that could distract her so effortlessly. She managed to avoid bringing attention to her thoughts, though, her moment of hunger missed by all except perhaps Calcifer himself. "So.. will you be my Valentine today?" She asked, smirking slightly.

Maeve looked around a bit, moving slightly as more and more people arrived through the door, until at least one of the so-called people made her narrow her eyes slightly in distaste. Drystan. An arch nemises of hers. Or she would have proclaimed that if it wasn't for the fact that he was her other brother, and he could spear her head and plop it right on top of one of the towers if he really wanted too, and he was more than capable of such an act. The thing about that though was that it was probably too easily, so the most he would do regarding Maeve was mentally and physically torture her, leave her battered and bruised, sure, a broken arm or leg wasn't unheard of either. It just kinda annoyed her that she didn't have an older brother whom she could always turn to and be protected by. It was like she never had a brother at all, only this... bully so self proclaimed that he was related to her. A bully who-
Maeve shook her head slightly, her eyes dropping so that he wouldn't have gotten any eye contact from her, not that he seemed the slightely big interested in her. Instead, he seemed to make a beeline for Hyo and Alegra, which made things slightly bit easier for her, she supposed. The least amount of degrading mocking and insults - especially in public - the better. Although... as he walked past her her eyes fell upon the pinata. God damn- how'd that happen? Yet another thing she wouldn't have to look forward to. Glancing away at the sound of a voice, she turned to see that Nyu had spoken to her, in response to what she said the moment she walked through the door before. A minute later, the asian girl then walked off.
Was that... it was! Nyu~
She couldn't quite remember when she first heard of or saw Nyu, but it seemed like a while back now. And if she remembered correctly, she Nyu knew her brother in some way too - in what way indeed... she had to remember to enquire about that sometime, but for now... Maeve watched as she saw the girl turn back to the boy she had been speaking to before, which, for some reason beknownst to her, made her growl slightly, the slight flash of a cat's canine fang gleaming in the curve of her mouth until she managed to settle down. What WAS that? she thought, quite baffled at her reaction, but decided to brush it off for now. Her gaze wandered around the room, taking everyone in, as they all seemed to be engrossed in their own conversations with one another.
"Oh well, steady as she goes," she mumbled to herself as she walked over to one of the drinks tables and poured herself a glass of non-alcoholic wine. After that, she retreated to a spot against the wall, and folded her arms with her glass cradled close to her chest, her eyes half shut as she observed the bustle that was going on around her.

But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you And it's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah It's been a while since Willow has seen her fleeting husband, so she couldn't help but walk down the halls with a small smirk on her lips. How would he react when he's laid his eyes on her, this new Sournois student of the Beauxbatons Academy? Invited by his own little friend, Hyo Joon Nam, no less. It wasn't hard for her to see what kind of relationship her husband would thrust against the poor guy. It was just per chance when she found the little asian boy (she's an old demon, naturally she'd thinks of him as such), and she was definately going to milk it dry. She didn't even have to enquire about the guy she's admittedly spent the last few months searching for. Just enroll at where he was rumored to attend and wait for his trail of victims to lead her straight to him. Which Hyo had done. She was still wondering what she would say to him as she smoothed out her dark red dress and tossed her lomg dark hair over her shoulder. Her eyes, normally green like a cat's, flashed gold, and were left with golden flecks that couldn't really be seen unless observed closely. That certainly demonstrated her excitement. She paused at the door and listened, hearing a jumble of voices, and one in particular, boasting about his severed head.
Drystan.
She went through the whole process of opening the door at a reasonable pace and burst through it. She looked around the room, also taking note of the fact that there was too much pink, and she walked straight toward the bunch that was Hyo Joon, Alegra, Drystan, and Maeve, who seemed to be standing somewhat aloof. It was her she chose to stare at as she walked, a pleasent smile sitting on her lips. Sister, dearest. Then she turned her eyes to Hyo Joon and the other girl and thanked him for the invite, wished him a happy valentines day. She gave him a quick hug too, her back carefully turned to Drystan as she greeted Hyo. "It's a good song," she commented last, and they were gone. She watched them for a moment before she raised an eyebrow and rounded on Mr. De Suaveterre.
"What's this I hear about a severed head?" She asked, pulling the thing that appeared to be a red heart from him. She chuckled lightly, her voice low, charming, and somehow threatening all at once - a voice reserved for Drystan. She shook her head and smiled slyly as she spoke. "I have to say, I always liked your idea of a party." She turned it over a couple times, gave it a quick shake, and shoved it back into his arms, placing a hand on her hip and turning to look over the goodies on the table. "Aren't you going to offer your wife a drink?" She said, and cocked an eyebrow as if she were serious, but she looked at the table again and grabbed the same thing Maeve was drinking. She took a long, slow drink and licked her lips. "So how is my loving, doting husband doing?" She asked, adding stress to the word husband.

w.c; count them // party hard! // outfit // clicky // tagged // everyone! crucify me, and abuse me O H D A R L I N G B R E A K M E T H E W A Y Y O U D O Well, her days had not been truly exciting. Spending little time with anyone except her "boyfriend"; if you'd call him that. A love/hate relationship that had more knots and problems than that of a young girls hair caught in gum. For quite some time now, had she heard about a particular woman being in Beauxbatons, a sour note to a beautiful song and the only possible thing that could destroy her relationship. She wasn't for these party things, though dressed as if in a hurry. She was already late. Aphrodite, (and possibly Drystan) would be awaiting her arrival.. ten minutes ago. Hair already curled, she let it hang over her shoulders, and her makeup was simple. Dress clung to her, allowing what little curves she had to peak through. Generally, Nettie was too much of a simple girl to care. But her inner demons battled with her, made her try. Speaking of, their demeanor was calm and soothed by this point. As if asleep. Worry tugged at her heart, what if she was there? Willow. Was she some sort of tree? Of course, she couldn't say much name wise. For, she was technically a doll. The tiny girl pulled on her TOMS and grabbed her purse, dashing for the door. Now, excitement ran through her. Would he find her captivating? Not that he was one for suave words like that. But she did want to impress him. Just incase this other woman was there, would she compare? And then she was there. The Room of Requirement gave her some trouble upon entering, considering her emotions and thoughts changed every second. But she did end up getting it, being inside the room with all the people and their dresses and suites.. It was new to her, a party, that was. The decorations were beautiful, the girls were beautiful.. everything just seemed perfect. The girl took off her coat and set it on a seat close by her, looking through all the people. Through her quick scan, she noted Drystan and smiled, then turned an eye to the red-head who awkwardly stood by a group of people. The woman walked to the refreshments, pouring two drinks and then stepping towards her friend, handing the drink to her. "Go mingle." |
she demanded with a smile, from there she turned and locked sights on her man and his people. " His people" being the friends who didn't seem to enjoy her company much. Marionette wasn't much, she was different. Liked different things. Maybe it was just her never ending insecurities, but that was not her concern right now. Slowly, the girl walked towards Drystan, hips moving to a few certain songs in her head and brows erect. It was like locking onto a target with a gun, he was hers. Everyone knew. No matter how odd their relationship was, everyone knew. Inner demons began awakening as her anxiety spiked. But she kept her cool. Lithe girl stepped towards the group, finally there. Moments before, had she heard the words wife and doting husband. HUSBAND?! Though she wanted nothing more than to get involved, she kept her cool. Marionette stepped towards the man and set the cup of juice in his hand, batting her lashes. She was not good with these things, and the expressiong ' cat got your tongue'? was quite acceptable for this situation. The teal haired girl smiled sweetly at the man, lacing her fingers with his and keeping a shoulder to the other woman, "Bonjour, beau," she whispered. Cheeks became rosy with admiration, as she turned her head and looked to the other woman. They were beautiful, and the men looked dashing, if that was acceptable for her to say. Unsure how Drystan would take that.. he had become upset when she ****ed herself around after a mental breakdown, because of him. She never knew what he was feeling unless he told her, and that wasn't too often. Like I said before, their relationship was an odd one. But, on her end atleast, there was love... even though he drove her crazy, literally. "Girls, you look beautiful!" she called, voice still high and sweet. Though venom ran through it like a snake--and then her eyes rest on Willow. "Drystan, won't you introduce me?" she asked innocently, "Unless you'd just like to dance instead." [/div] notes // notes notes notes notes

Even though this was only somewhat of a formal party, Jae Syun felt slightly underdressed standing next to her. Nyu Ri. She was just beautiful. She looked really nice in her black dress, he thought with a half a smile on his lips. Jae imagined he simply looked goofy in his bow tie and vest. It didn't help that his hair had been messed up when the drapes fell on top of him. His leather jacket was put away somewhere in the room when he had first arrived. It's quite warm in here, he thought suddenly, trying not to stare at the woman beside him. Once the last curtain was finally put up, he too glanced toward the snacks table. Was he being too quiet? Then his eyes landed on her again and he nodded.
"Absolutely," he said, following her. "You feeling all that work in your arms?" He joked, his arm flexing a little as he ran his hand through his thick dark hair. He was showing off a little, the sleeves of his shirt tight around his biceps and shoulders, not completely hiding his strong build. Was that a little to obvious? Awe, he did not just flex his arm for her, did he? He was terrible at this flirting stuff. Normally the girls did it to him back at home and he responded, he assumed, correctly. Had he been doing it right? Nyu Ri wasn't running away at least. In fact she was looking a little nervous herself, if he was reading her correctly. He kicked himself mentally, though, accepting the butterbeer with a smile that almost looked embarrassed. "Thank you," he said, taking a drink quickly. He cleared his throat and nodded again, agreeing that there were quite a few people there. "Everyone looks nice." He turned to her, taking another drink from his glass before he spoke again. "You look really nice too.. Radiant.. err," he went off, averting his eyes and clearing his throat again, his gaze somehow landed on the person he thought was named Maeve. It seemed she was looking at Nyu Ri rather curiously, but before he could put much thought in it, Hyo Joon was mentioned and he returned his attention to her.
"Hyo Joon?" He repeated, raising his eyebrows. "Oh yeah, he's like my brother, absolutely." He nods, takes another drink, and continues with a shrug. "We practically grew up together." He looked at his glass thoughtfully. When had he first met him? It was hard for him to say because it had been so long. He glanced at the mentioned boy and said "for as long as I can remember, I suppose. He's in a lot of my childhood memories." He chuckled a little, remembering one time where Joonii's parents were getting mad at him for one thing or another, and said to him 'why can't you be more like Jae Syun?' who always had been a nice and respectable guy who perhaps tried a little too hard. Hyo Joon was one or the few people Jae could be completely comfortable with, and be his goofy self. "You just have to give him a chance," he said, understanding her question. "He can make you laugh, and he can actually take care things pretty well when the time is right," he explained, remembering when he had broken his arm and Joonii got him to the hospital without killing him somehow. Jae Syun always seemed to get injured when he's horsing around with him he realized. Huh. Not that he thought it was his fault. Jae always felt the need to impress, and may have taken it too far once or twice. Thus is why he was quite awkward to be around, perhaps he too over-thought things.

It was strange, Roy had been looking at Penelope and talking very casually, and then the object of his discussion just happened to randomly appear, making him instantly tense up and scowl. Seconds later he felt the small, light brush of something as they quickly retreated behind him, and he didn't even really need to guess who since he already knew. Ready to just pick him up and run off with him now, Roy-kun~ Nova hissed, which Roy ignored. "Calcifer," he just said, nodding briefly at the vampire. As far as he knew, not many people in this lovely circle of friends and comerades he had were on good terms with the vampire. It seemed to have only been Penelope, although they all had to respect Calcifer being around for her sake. Not even Yuki - who seemed to be trembling behind him - liked him very much, although dislike was an understatement. He recalled last time they were married and stuff he practically had nightmares about the guy, more nightmares than Nova had given the poor boy.
That reminds me of my next agenda! Time to create a new sleepy funtime for Yuki, Freddy Kruger style!
"NO!" Roy said loudly. Then stopped. And then proceeded to look awkward. Really now, you don't even need me to make you look and sound crazy. Roy shook his head and started again, "What I meant to say was..." What HAD he meant to say? He felt like he was digging a bigger and bigger hole for himself. Curses. Hearing a small noise behind him, he quickly turned to look at Yuki, quite frankly glad for a distraction. "Did you say something?" he asked him easerly as he watched the asian boy move to the table to get a drink. Before Yuki could answer he quickly cast a sly glance over to where more people were appearing, some people he didn't really know it seemed. Odd. As headboy he thought he knew everyone around here, or maybe not... it wasn't as if he was that strange boy over there with the big mouth, he didn't randomly walk up to people, introduce oneself and then ask them to build a sandcastle with him. No, instead it would be a bonfire. What do ya say to making one sometime? Roasting Yuki on a spit like a little piglet sounds romantic, as well as makes your stomach rumble, don't you think? Roy rolled his eyes, the last thing he wanted was to... cannibalize anyone, not least Yuki. Once again, another of Nova's plans scrapped out the window. He couldn't help though as his eyes quickly flicked to Calcifer again, which prompted the thought, I need a drink too. Wheeling around, he joined Yuki at the table, uttering a sigh of relief, and then cursing under his breath. No firewhiskey. He forgot. Oh well, maybe stronger stuff later if and when he could. He reached for a bottle of butterbeer and opened it, and gulped some of it back. That was better. His eyes flicked back to Yuki again, quite unsure as to what to say, once again. "So... are you okay? He's not staring at you or anything is he?" he settled on casually asking as he slightly nodded in the direction of where a certain vampire was lurking standing. (sorry if it's bad ;-; and short ><)[/blockquote]

Violet eyes studied the other students boredly, almost like a panther examining which poor animal to tear the throat out of next. Of course he suppressed such thoughts, which - due to how masterful he was at it - really wasn't that hard at all. Indeed when it came to feeding he had a habit of leaving a trail of corpses behind him in his wake, that's a given, but all vampires had their means and methods, and it never was that he lost control and ended up killing someone, he just extremely enjoyed the rush he got when someone's life was in his hands, and he was robbing the person of it. However, he really didn't have much experience with blood other than vampire and human blood. Human blood was simply divine, vampire blood was alright for the most part, and he occasionally liked to have a sample of Penelope's now and again, with her permission, which always tasted delicious in it's own right. Sharing blood was kind of an intimicy ritual between vampires, as much as other stuff was. Vampires did tend to experience more pleasures than humans after all, it was such a shame that after a long time some vampires get bored of it all, so much that they end their lives. One of the joys of being human was to experience pleasure and happiness and that it never got boring since it all had to end and die one day. Not as far as Calcifer was concerned though, he was still up for living life to the fullest.... slightly. At the moment though, he was content where he was, stealing blood and lives whenever he could, and being with Penelope. And god forbid anyone who dared to interfere in his contentment.
Calcifer's eyes flicked quickly to Penelope as she gave him a small kiss on the cheek, a small smirk forming, showing a bit of fang as he did so. "Late, indeed, but nothing seems to have happened much so far anyway." He raised his eyes to look at Yuki, his smirk only growing bigger as he watched the boy move behind the alchemist. Ah, the stench of fear on the boy was overwhelming, and with that came the sound of his tiny quickening heartbeat too...It almost made the vampire lust after the boy, but he refrained from doing so. He was in company, such things could wait. And on the other hand, if he actually did anything to Yuki, no doubt he'd receive more than his fair share of protests, which was too bad. So for now, he'd have to settle with teasing little Yuki from afar. Of course he did very much know that Yuki was Penelope's best friend, the friend of his love and comerade, another very good reason to stay away. Oh well. And another barrier was... him. Calcifer arched an eyebrow as he turned his attention to the boy taller than the Rouerie hiding behind him. He really did feel a set of black eyes baring into him as if a warning of issue of a challenge. It didn't show, but the vampire found it quite amusing. Silly halfbreed. Calcifer narrowed his purple eyes and simply glared back, until the alchemist finally looked away and started talking to Yuki. Mind you, he had been acting slightly odd during the time he was doing his staring routine, but he hardly expected anything less from Roy Mustang.
Chuckling under his breath, pleased that he had outdone his opposition once again, he glanced back at Penelope, the smirk he had on his lips being replaced with a genuine smile. "Of course, beloved Penelope, you've always been my Valentine, and I've always been yours." Hopefully anyway. He reached down and lightly picked up one frail pale hand of hers and gently held it. "I know it is strange of me to ask, but since we're here, would you care to dance?" It had been a very long time since he had last done so. he recalled taking Penelope to a ball far from Beauxbatons a great many years before, and he had missed the intimacy they had shared back then. And since they had been reunited at the school for the second time, what better way was there to start things off than a dance at a Valentines day party, as silly as that sounded. He didn't especially care for such events and holidays, stupid human based traditions, but it was a good a time as any to show how inanely devoted to her he was. He just hoped that she felt the same.

Well now, wasn't this day looking up for him? Initially, Drystan thought that today would be a total drag, a day of love and... blah blah blah, hearing all about what Valentines Day was about made him sick to his stomach. He needed to spice things up a bit, and if that meant bringing Halloween early to Beauxbatons then so be it. Already though, Drystan was quite content with the outcome of this party. Of course he was quite saddened that his beloved Alegra put so much effort into it just for him to come along and gate crash it like this, though not sad by much though. She clearly knew how the kitsune was after all these years, and hell, everything like this was worth it just to see the wary and despairing look on Hyo-kun's face. It satisfied him to see it indeed, but then it didn't seem to last very long. Not at all. He didn't even protest out loud such as the little coward Drystan knew he was capable of being. No, instead it seemed like he ignored him, and using his wand, changed the song into an even louder and sweeter love song. He really could have thrown up on the spot just then; a severed head was nothing compared to how nauseating certain other things could be.
His eyes flashed dangerously at Hyo - changing from their usual green and amber colours to a very vibrant bright orange shade - as the boy asked Alegra to dance and then walked off. He felt himself utter a slight hiss in anger before he was interrupted by a very familiar voice, which made him visibly jump, almost making him drop the little party treat he had been holding tightly enough to cause several indents in the skull. "W...Willow, fancy... meeting you here..." Suddenly the anger was gone, eyes returning to normal, however that didn't stop him from taking a single step back away from her though. After a great many years, he had learned to maintain his distance when it came to his... wife. He couldn't help but grimace whenever he thought of her that way, but he had no other choice, it was a fact that they were married after all, and there was no court in the world who would help him and remain alive who could help remove himself from it.
Carefully he watched her reach forward, wondering what on earth she was reaching for, and then she grasped it. The severed head. His sigh of relief was quite silent, glad that she had something to distract herself with, although after a moment she shoved it back at him. Drystan glared down at it, and then with one fell swoop, threw it over his shoulder - fully hoping it hit that acursed Hyo in the process. He had no need for it now, and at the present moment it truly felt like a deadweight. Drystan crossed his arms, eyes reduced to slits as he studied her. "You're not expecting me to say yes dear and go fetch you something are you?" he demanded, the look in his eyes making it seem like he was able to set fire to a forest if he could, they were that smoldering. Truth be told, he was towering over Willow a little, by several inches, despite being quite thin and lithe... maybe he'd be able to take her if he tackled her... No, that wouldn't work, as usual, she'd probably send him flying like she had in the past, but man, he really couldn't help replaying scenarios like that in his head, especially in her presence.
"So how is my loving, doting husband doing?"
He flinched. He really didn't want to let her get to him, truly he didn't, but at times like these... he either needed to get away, a distraction or endure, if he could. Damn, and the music in the background really pissed him off too, things really couldn't get much worse. Drystan readied himself, getting ready to snap his fingers in order to make the music stop or whatever was playing the music explode, but then something semi-good happened: Nettie appeared. Being what he was, he could sense and smell her before he reached him, and he faintly knew that a storm was quite possibly brewing as both females got closer to one another in distance. He turned to look at her as she reached him, his eyes wondering here there and everywhere, which made his usual smirk appear. Ah, well now, she looked especially adorable today, which is usually what attracted him to people. Their cuteness, their innocence, how they can so easily be lead astray. Of course not all of Nettie was like that; there lurked some other troubled souls within her, which he generally loathed. Perhaps that was one reason he didn't treat her as nice as he should. Perhaps? No, that wasn't it. He generally didn't really treat anyone nice anyway - a character trait he wasn't willing to change anytime soon.
"My darling~" Drystan started as he casually draped an arm around Nettie's neck, drawing her to him and gripping her tighter than he should, restraining her slightly so she was barely allowed to move. He saw the way she was admiring other people as she entered the room - he did pretty much have eyes on the back of his head after all. She knew that he didn't especially trust her to be in the same room as anyone besides himself, and the fact that she was here... well, she needed to be controlled and he was willing to do whatever he had to to keep what control he had over her. He didn't want to do anything bad to embarrass her in front of so many people after all, no, of course not. When it came to Nettie... well, it was really a jumble of emotions. Hatred, anger, cruelty was usually involved... what else... love? Did he really love someone? Ever since his escapades with Willow it really did make him hate and fear the concept of love, everything about it made him sick, and yet here he was... with young Marionette.. and what he was doing to her.
Drystan scowled to himself, his brow knitting together a little, then snapped himself out of such thoughts, eyes quickly zipping between his girlfriend and his wife. "Ah, right, of course. Well we might as well start with the introductions first, you'll find out soon enough anyway..." He tried to cover up his unease of the subject by giving them both a cocky smirk before continuing. "Nettie, this is my... my... wife, Willow..." He really hadn't been under so much pressure to say or do anything in his life before, and he wasn't quite sure why he was feeling this way either. "And... Willow, this is my girlfriend, Marionette Somerst, better known as Nettie." Now is when he stopped talking. He wasn't sure when, or if, sparks were going to start flying. It wasn't as if either of them were complete pushovers either, and at the moment he could see that Nettie was probably going to bubble over like a cauldron soon. "So... dance now? Although I'll have to do something about this damn awful music," he finished with a growl as he prepared to do something about the noise in the room again. Seriously now, even on an occasion like this there was seriously no accounting for taste.[/blockquote]
