Although Yuki wasn’t very fond of Calcifer he still had to admit that he and Penelope fit together perfectly. They were quite the power couple. Anyone would want to be in their shoes. Any female would love to be Penelope and most of the male population would love to be Calcifer (not Yuki though, he wanted to be himself, but of course would love to change many things about himself such as become more manly and more confident). They both were vampires, very old ones on top of that, which why they were a great match. And Penelope was beautiful, Calcifer was handsome… it was perfect. Yeah, he was a little jealous about their perfect relationship. How many times had he already thought about the word ‘perfect’ while watching them? Too many. But that’s what they were; perfect. Boohoo, I’m not loved. I’m so sad. I’m a little girly Yuki. I'm going to be forever alone, because I'm such a wimp. God damnit get a grip and stop being an idiot. You know very well you could be manly AND confident AND get all the girls you want if you just let me take control. His twin snapped at him and by the sound of it Yuji was already fed up with everything related to Valentine’s Day. It would be YOU, not me. I wouldn’t gain anything. Good boy, you caught that. But still, you could learn a few tricks. And you would get to watch. That’s a really fun part, I guarantee you. The thought of that made Yuki feel disgusted and he frowned as he turned to look down at his glass, gently swaying it in order to get to watch the liquid inside move around, but was careful enough not to let a single drop escape.
“What’s this I hear about severed head?”
Yuki’s head shot up to look towards a female student that he didn’t recognize and was sure he had not seen before. Yuck, a severed head? Why were they talking about such things in the middle of Valentine’s Day party? This frightened him a bit. There was Alegra, Hyo Joon, Drystan and two females taking part of the conversation, so if he had to guess he believed their conversation starter had been kitsune boy. Hadn’t been too hard to figure out. He noticed Drystan holding the piñata and immediately started summing up things… was there a severed head in there?! No way. No freaking way. Most likely he had just heard small part of the conversation and was letting his imagination getting the best of him. Although this was Drystan, so it was possible perhaps that there really was something dreadful inside that piñata.
Music started playing all of a sudden and he noticed Hyo Joon asking Alegra to dance with him. A small smile formed upon his lips as he watched the young Asian boy patiently wait for the reply. Ah, dancing. All the old memories came back to him suddenly. The past Valentine’s Days’. He remembered how much fun it was to think about all the decorations and music and who to invite; the more people the better. He was quite sure one time they even threw flyers around the school, so that everyone who wanted to could come and join. And back when he was still with Roy…
Said person actually suddenly arrived over to him which took Yuki by surprise, but luckily he was quite good at hiding his blush; he didn’t want the other male know that he had just thought of him. He heard the other male sigh and it sounded that he was relieved, but of what he didn’t know of. Part of him hoped that Roy was feeling relieved, because he was nearby Yuki, but that was most likely just his imagination once again. He really needed to stop himself from getting his hopes too up.
As he watched the Sournois male look for firewhiskey, most likely, and even curse slightly, Yuki sneered a bit and suddenly felt extremely comfortable in his presence. In the past he would have scolded Roy and tell him not to swear like that, especially in a party, but now it just brought a smile upon his face, because in a weird way he had missed it. Roy found a butterbeer though and seemed to be satisfied by it which why Yuki turned to look back at other people inhaling and exhaling calmly while leaning a bit against the table.
“So… are you ok? He’s not staring at you or anything is he?”
Quickly he glanced at Roy who had just spoken to him before turning to look towards Calcifer and Penelope again and he shook his head a bit, “No, his attention is completely stolen by Penelope, thankfully.” Then he smiled again a bit and continued quietly, “Didn’t think you’d remember. Thank you… for looking after me.” He kept looking at other people as he was kind of afraid of looking at Roy for some reason. Perhaps he was afraid of his reaction. He was very grateful to him for asking if he was alright or not. “So… what have you been up to?” He asked, genuinely curious to hear about him, but hoping he didn’t come out as too nosy. “School stuff? Or adventures and trouble as usual?” He smirked a bit at the other boy before the next thing escaped from his mouth, “Dating?” Right away he regretted it and he could feel his intestines twist uncomfortably. Why would he ask that? He didn’t even want to know! It would just ruin his day, most likely. He hadn’t heard from anyone that Roy would be dating someone, but still it was possible. “Are you f***ing kidding me, Ishida?! Why would you EVER ask that? Scratch the part where I said that you should let me take control of your body, because after that walking in your shoes would be way too freaking embarrassing. The demon brother lashed harshly and Yuki didn’t even know what to reply, because he felt as if Yuji was right. But wasn’t that just a normal question? Sure if they had always been just friends, but that wasn’t the case. It just didn’t seem right for him to ask such a question all of a sudden. He bit his lower lip and swayed the glass in his hand faster than before, too nervous to care whether it would spill or not. He was an idiot. He knew it, Yuji knew it and now Roy knew it too.

As usual in the room wherever he happened to be in literally the same group of people, things seemed downright unusual. Well, it was quite normal for him, but he was pretty sure if anyone else happened to appear they'd instantly turn around and leave. Such was his life. Hell, he was pretty sure that even Yuki was rather normal before he started attending the school... and then his spiritual brother problem just happened to appear. What were the chances really? That's not to say that such an occurrence wouldn't have happened if he never attended Beauxbatons, but strange did rather did seem like the typical thing here, and a boy across the room waving a decapitated head around and flinging insects everywhere just proved it. It was times like these he couldn't help but wish for a simple life, he couldn't help but ponder as he frowned, picking up what appeared to be a small fuzzy caterpillar from where it had landed and was slowly making it's way up his arm. Cute. He didn't think the kitsune had anything other than ugly bugs with him in his arsenal today, it was nice to see something he didn't care so much about squishing. Roy tilted his head as he looked at it, then turned and placed it down on the table. It was a caterpillar, what harm could it do? With that, he turned to focus back on Yuki again. He seriously needed to learn to be focused at critical moments like this.
A few minutes later he realized that music had started playing. It must have been playing for a few minutes now, but surely the party had been going on for over an hour, and yet there had been nothing in the background until now? Huh. Either way, it was typical Valentines Day music, which some people - he noticed - didn't seem too happy about, which made him question as to why people like that decided to show up at a party like this in the first place. Randomly, he started swirling the butterbeer bottle he had in his hand. He'd actually forgotten he was holding it, and it was a miracle that such a thing hadn't made him drop it either. That would have been quite the scene, he supposed. Roy glanced down at the bottle, a scowl starting to form. Generally butterbeer did taste nice, very warming and such, but he was genuinely saddened that nothing stronger was allowed on school grounds. There were times in the past when students snuck by school policies and decided to get drunk on the grounds anyway, but such a thing hadn't happened in ages. Besides! He was headboy, he shouldn't really have such thoughts anyway. Oh, who was he kidding. He was most likely to be the most irresponsible candidate for the position and yet he landed in it twice. Life was such a funny thing sometimes. Maybe one day he'd be responsible enough to make it seem like he had earned headboy one day. Maybe.
Roy looked up and away from the bottle as he noticed Yuki's casual move to lean against the table, before answering his question. "Ah." For the first time in a while, Roy couldn't help but give a half smile. Looking after him, huh? Now hearing that was extremely refreshing to the Sournois boy. He hadn't heard anyone, especially Yuki of all people, mention him looking after them in a very, very, very long time. It was almost cute really. Of course he knew very well that Yuki, on some level, needed to be protected from the vampire. It's not as if Calcifer only wanted to scare him, he was sure there were other intentions at play, and knowing what a cold blooded killer he was... well, only Penelope had the power to stop him really, both being his lover and Yuki's best friend. It was always nice to try and give Yuki a peace of mind though and try and set his mind at ease to take his mind off such things, of course. "Don't worry, I'm always around to take care of you," he then said lightly, casually leaning back on the table himself and resting his bottle against one of his legs as he watched the other boy cautiously, just in case he happened to say too much.
Seriously Roy, stop, you're like a dog with a bone, Nova snorted, his voice brimming with laughter. Yuki obviously wants nothing to do with you. He's obviously just making conversation with you since there's clearly no one else to talk to, and let's face it, who would want to talk to a pair of rejects like you anyway. So just give it up, this farce of a... whatever it is, it's just pathetic so- Roy tried to silence the demon's endless tirade by trying to block him out, which seemed to work, until he ended up thinking that the demon simply had already finished what he had to say anyway and didn't feel like continuing. Roy narrowed his eyes and tried not to randomly shake his head - that seemed like one of the first symptoms of being a mad person, constantly shaking one's head when there was simply no need to do so. He blinked as if in a daze, did Yuki say something to him as he had been wrapped up in his own twisted thoughts? Nova uttered a loud snort which he ignored and tried to play back some of the past minute's conversation in his head. The part about dating though really did catch him off guard, and he ended up silently blinking again, whilst looking slightly puzzled. Pretty sure you could write an entire book about that~ the demon teased, sounding like such a thing was of the alchemist's own making.
"Oh, I haven't really dated..." Roy said quickly, although trailing off at the end. He did really feel guilty about lying to Yuki, although it generally was only a half lie. Who did he date when both of them had gone their seperate ways...? Well, there was Marlyn. "Ohohohoho! Marlyn, those were the god old days," Nova said, making it sound like he was recalling such memories fondly. "Are you kidding me? Thanks to you and everything you did, she wants my head on a stick." Roy looked quite grudging on the outside as he replied to the demon's comment. It really was all his fault though. Nova was the one who decided to ask out Roy's cousin, apparently thanks to a second vampiric personality that had manifested in her, proposed to her, then ditched her, all of this quite randomly and Roy didn't exactly recall much of the details himself. Hellloooooo?! Demon here. It was a fanciful example of your relationships anyway, Mustang. But go right ahead do what you will, all of your romances end up the same way anyway." He couldn't help but sigh at that. Nova had said his piece and was silent again, clearly content with what it was he'd just said. It was clearly time for a change of subject anyway. "Oh, school's been fine, same as usual." He sounded like he was casually brushing things off as he spoke, as if he just blew through the past couple years od school, a piece of cake really. Roy was curious though about that topic Yuki brought up earlier, and though he did want to steer it away from himself, he was still curious about stuff... "How about you? Done much since you left here? Also, dating! I'm sure you've done lots of stuff since you left here..." his eyes flicked towards the several groups of students who were talking to each other, clearly minding their own businesses, and then back to Yuki. He moved to put the bottle of unfinished butterbeer down, and in one fluid movement he quickly moved to stand in front of Yuki, blocking the other people from his view and vice versa. "I must admit that I still have something on my mind, Yuki..." he said, sounding very hesitant as he struggled to find the words for the one thing he had on his mind. Once again his mouth was dry, but as determined as he was, he wasn't about to have another drink of anything until he finished what he had to say. "I had a wondering about where we actually stand. You know... I mean, with us. When we were at the tower you just mentioned papers and nothing more was said after that. What I mean was..." he stopped talking in order to take another deep breath, his dark blue eyes flashing with stubborness at Yuki. He was feeling quite nervous but that clearly wasn't showing on his appearance. "Yuki. Do you feel the same way about me as you did before you left? I know I do anyway. If so, I was wondering if you wanted to pick things were we left off, or just take it more slowly by dating or... well, it's generally up to you. But now you know where I stand. Of course if you still want me to sign the papers I will, so long as I know that's what you definitely want." He had no time to be embarrassed as he blurted out everything that was on his mind, and then continued to just keep his piercing gaze on Yuki even after it was all finished. It all seemed out of the blue but he had to get unresolved issues out of the way, to kill the elephant in the room once and for all. And of course he'd respect the other boy's decision either way, but all he could do now was wait with bated breath for some kind of answer.[/blockquote]

Luckily for him Roy seemed to be occupied by something, perhaps Nova being his usual self again, so the question didn’t seem to have an overly big effect on him. “Ugh, I feel nauseous. If I feel like throwing up, you do know it is eventually YOU who will actually do it. Your body anyway.” That would definitely be an interesting sight; Yuki throwing up after just asking if Roy was dating. Don’t you dare… The young Rouerie thought, closing his eyes tightly for a moment. Had it been a completely terrible idea to join the Valentine’s Day party after all? Definitely if he ended up ruining things with Roy. He needed to be close to him. He needed them to be at least friends if nothing else. To this Yuji definitely didn’t agree of course, but when had Yuki ever cared about his brother’s opinion anyway? Never. Therefore he wouldn’t care now either. He felt so much vulnerable when the Sournois male wasn’t around, but like now that he was next to him he felt extremely safe and content.
Quietly he turned to look down at the caterpillar that Roy had just placed on table, gave a small smile at it and wondered where it had come from and if it would be ok. It was still too cold outside, so letting it out of the window was not an option. Maybe it would be ok inside until it would turn into a beautiful butterfly or another bug. He had never been good at recognizing caterpillars or any other bugs for that matter, although he had tried to learn a lot of them. At times he used to work at his parents flower shop and therefore he would need the information in case he saw any on the flowers. Too bad he had forgotten almost everything. But hey, at least he had learned a lot of new things in Beauxbatons. And his dream was to become a doctor anyway, not a florist.
Hearing Roy say that he would always be around to take care of him made his heart flutter. It sounded like a promise. A promise that meant a lot to him, and it made him feel extremely happy. He turned to look at Roy with a tender smile and replied, “Really? Thank you.” Right after that though he quickly turned away again in order to hide his embarrassment, because he didn’t want to show his feelings, not when he didn’t know what the other male thought about him. Possibly Roy just wanted to become friends with him again, so that they could be like nothing ever happened between them and that made him suddenly feel like his heart had been put into a cage, locked away, so that he wouldn’t be able to ruin everything between the two of them. If it was friendship that Roy wanted he would accept it. Even that would be enough to him. Yuji was keeping way too quiet about this though which made him worried, because it could mean only one thing; Yuji was thinking, and that was never a good thing. He wasn’t able to focus on that problem too much though, because he was feeling too pained inside and just for now tried to concentrate on getting a grip of himself.
It was a big relief to hear that the other male hadn’t really been dating, or that’s what he said at least, but hey, if Roy said so, he believed it. And even if it wasn’t the truth… at least there had to be a reason why he wouldn’t tell it honestly to him; because he still cared for him. That’s what he liked to think anyway, and therefore he didn’t judge the other one at all, especially when he was asked the same question and for a moment he hesitated, hoping it wasn’t noticeable. “Uh, no. Not at all.” Not at all? What was that supposed to mean? There had only been one though and that had been Takumi, although in the end he wasn’t sure if it even counted, because Yuji had kind of planted thoughts in both of their heads and it had been quite brief anyway. They had one date, that’s it. So maybe that didn’t count which would mean he wasn’t exactly lying. “I’ve tried to concentrate on school stuff. I need to keep my grades up in order to get the scholarship.” Thinking about the scholarship made him feel a bit depressed for two reasons; one, that he would have to divorce Roy in order to get it or otherwise he wouldn’t be able to pay it, and two, because he only had two years left in Beauxbatons and then he would go elsewhere, possibly be too busy to meet with his friends anymore. He would have to leave it all behind. That included Roy. His nose wrinkled for a quick moment, because of the thought, but soon enough he took a hold of himself again and acted like nothing was on his mind.
Without saying another word he watched all the other people, most of them chatting cheerfully to each other and enjoying the party while some did look a bit… disturbed, but it seemed that was because of the piñata and how some weren’t very excited about having it there after all. Well, he wasn’t either to be honest if there really were bugs inside of it. Not that he was afraid of bugs too. Only bees crept him out and he would run far away fast if such creatures happened to come out of the piñata. His thoughts were soon interrupted though as Roy had suddenly moved in front of him after placing the bottle in his hands away too. At first Yuki just stared at him bewildered, but then tensed up when he heard the Sournois male start speaking; what was he going to talk to him about? What was on his mind? Was it about the divorce papers? Would he tell him to hurry up with those? Yuki was and always had been quite the worrier and always at first assumed the worst things to happen to him or his closest ones, and right away his brains would start processing about how to make things better again. Even now he wondered how he would be able to act all normal and smile in case Roy asked about the papers and how he would have to pretend like he was ok with it when he wasn’t. How he would have to hurry to his dorm and send an owl on its way to get the papers asap. But no. That wasn’t at all what Roy wanted to say.
Yuki blinked at Roy, not understand where Roy was going with this. Where did they stand? That’s what he had been wondering. When Roy mentioned the papers he was sure the other one was asking for them. But no, wrong again. "Yuki. Do you feel the same way about me as you did before you left?” What? Did Roy guess? Was Yuki being so oblivious? “I know I do anyway. If so, I was wondering if you wanted to pick things were we left off, or just take it more slowly by dating or... well, it's generally up to you.” He was only able to stare at Roy, lips parting slightly as he was taken completely by a surprise, heart racing so fast that it would surely jump to his throat soon. Did Roy mean he wanted to get back together? Had he just heard it all right? Had he understood it right? Or was it a joke? No, Roy looked completely serious. Of course Yuki wanted this. He wanted nothing else as much as being with Roy again. He didn’t even care about becoming a doctor as much. “I do.” He was able to mumble before he realized that it could be mistaken as him saying yes to Roy about signing the papers. “I mean… I’d love to pick up things from where they were left.” He had completely forgotten that anyone else was in the room with them, but he wouldn’t even care if he did realize that the two weren’t alone; this was all that mattered right now. Hell, the moment couldn’t even be ruined even if Drystan would break the piñata and millions of bugs would be crawling around them. “Honestly I…” He started and turned to look down at his hands, rubbing his finger tips slightly together very slowly. “I didn’t think you’d want me back… So I’ve not said anything.” Maybe he should have been straight to him already the other time when they met in the rooftop, but he hadn’t had the courage. There was no way he could have even dreamed that Roy would have any feelings for him anymore. “And I’ve not even asked for the… papers. I couldn’t. So there’s nothing for you to sign anyway.” He told the other male honestly and turned to look at him again to see his reaction, if Roy would be mad at him for not even trying to get new divorce papers for them and for kind of lying to him when he said that he would do so as soon as possible, but hadn’t. He, himself, was now extremely thankful that he hadn’t asked for new ones though. Hopefully Roy would feel the same way.

Ah, perhaps he did say too much? He figured that, very quickly, as he saw Yuki thank him and then turn away. "Haha!!" Nova laughed loudly, the sound vibrating in Roy's head, giving him what seemed to be a splitting headache which made him cringe. "You blew it already. Not as great at charming people, not least that kid, as you used to be, huh Mustang?" The last thing he needed was for someone to rub dirt in his wounds, which is what Nova was very talented in. So what could he say now... "I'm sorry," he said quickly, after some considerable thought, but after situations like these, an apology was always in order, even when it was coming from someone like Roy. He usually didn't feel the need to apologize - his blatant arrogance and pride showing through - but in this case it seemed necessary, especially if he happened to offend Yuki in any way or something, he didn't want to get off on the wrong foot after all this time of course. "I must have said something inappropriate, but I do mean it though, but... yeah..." he trailed off, not knowing what else to add to what he was saying. He then cleared his throat, standing up straight, as if at attention, his eyes quickly finding the ground as if seeing something interesting there that no one else could see. Finally feeling the sudden headache ebbing away, Roy drew in a breath, feeling a tad relieved. He didn't quite want to go through the rest of the day feeling the effects of vibrations bouncing around his head after the demon finished laughing, not when there was something involving Yuki he had to deal with first. Well, maybe deal with was the wrong term to use. It just felt like there was something unsettled, unfinished between them, but he couldn't exactly voice that to the other boy just yet. Who knows, maybe Nova would have chipped in as well and then all hell would break lose. Well, more so than the moment anyway. Roy looked up to see Drystan and the others still going at it, and rolled his eyes slightly. Well they certainly seemed to be having fun, even though there was now some kind of tension between the people who had gathered over there. Tension seemed to be quite contagious here today, it seemed. There was a noise to his side and he turned at the same time Yuki spoke to him. He seemed kind of wary with his response, which made Roy narrow his eyes slightly. That only lasted for a moment though, before he brightened up. "You're a terrible liar, Yuki, but I don't mind," he replied as he turned to face him. "You've probably had a long string of lovers, you are that cute after all!" He suddenly grinned as he reached out and placed his hand on Yuki's head. Well, at least the fact that Yuki's height hadn't changed was the same, so not everything was as different as before. Maybe he'd grown by a couple of centimeters but hey, so long as he could pat him on the head like this, all was fine. Then again, maybe he was crossing boundaries again. So with that, and with a very wary look crossing his face, he withdrew and lowered his arm to his side, then leaned against the table again. Maybe he shouldn't really be leaning against it, it could break after all. "Hmm... right, that." He mumbled those words upon hearing Yuki's next words, glancing up to look at him and then back down at the floor again. Right, that's exactly what Yuki had mentioned before. That's what he especially needed the divorce for, though it was the first time he'd actually heard of it back then. Was it really okay for him to keep avoiding the situations with the impending divorce? It wasn't as if Roy had been actually doing it on purpose, it was generally Nova's doing. Perhaps he should have just given Yuki what he wanted as soon as they met last time. It was probably what Yuki was still wanting now as well. Roy grimaced as that wave of thoughts hit him, what should he do? He had to make a decision now while he had the chance, and this was one decision he had to make without involving fire and flashy explosions. "Oh for Gods sake Roy!" Nova said loudly to him, chipping in for the first time in minutes. "If that... child wanted those documents at this exact moment don't you really think he would have asked for them by now? I'm tired of watching those pathetically dull thoughts swim around in your pathetically small cranium. So either act like a fully grown human or for the love of all that's evil in the underworld, I will f*cking-" Nova's voice had really started to get louder and louder, with anger no doubt, so he had to really try to tune the overbearing sound out, as best he could anyway. And then the next part of the conversation happened, at which point Yuki just seemed to look utterly stunned. All of what he'd said just poured out, very much genuine and all that. It was still slightly embarrassing though. They were surrounded by people, strangers and people they knew left and right. And he wasn't used to speaking from his heart like this, or at least he hadn't been used to it in quite some time. "Yeah, you turned into quite the emo kid, didn't ya?" the demon sneered. "Quite surprised you didn't start cutting yourself and singing loudly to sad love songs." He tried not to show any outward sign of listening to Nova's words, but it really was difficult. Instead he just tried to focus on Yuki and block any outward distractions out. As soon as he renewed his resolve though, Yuki replied to him, and then it was his own turn to look stunned. “I mean… I’d love to pick up things from where they were left.” He was quite sure it was just Nova mocking him again, putting thoughts in his head and pretending it was Yuki that was speaking, but somehow... he knew that wasn't entirely the case. Nova couldn't entirely imitate someone, and he especially would make them more cruel just out of spite. No, it was definitely Yuki giving an answer to his question. "Well, of course I've wanted you back, Yuu-chan. Been missing you ever since things got messed up and you left, ages ago," he said quietly, just loud enough for Yuki to hear him but quiet enough for everyone else to not hear. Though the same couldn't really be said for the vampires, demon and kitsune in the room, sadly, but he tried to ignore their presences as he quietly conversed with Yuki. "As for the papers... well, Nova usually tends to do things to things like that without my knowledge, so.... But! We don't need to think about things like that now, do we? They're in the past..." Before even finishing his sentance he quickly stepped towards Yuki, towering over the smaller boy, and enveloped him in a hug, a tight one. Oh sure, he could have gone for a kiss, but public displays of affection weren't usually their style, and he hadn't hugged Yuki in so long, it was another thing he missed about him.... "Oh, I almost forgot... what about that scholarship thing you keep mentioning...?" Roy mumbled, still half draped over Yuki. "That was what you needed the divorce papers for... but if me and you is what you want... what's going to happen about your future prospects?" He didn't especially want Yuki to drop everything just because Roy dropped this bombshell on him, so he was still waiting for the other boy to change his mind when he wanted to. If he wanted to. It was his choice after all, and Roy settled with respecting anything Yuki desired.[/blockquote]

When Roy said he was sorry Yuki quickly turned to look at him, not understanding what for the other male was even apologizing for which why just blinked at him in surprise and decided to wait for an explanation before asking about it. He really didn’t understand a thing even after Roy said that he must have said something inappropriate. Why did he think that way? What kind of inappropriate thing had Roy said? He rewind their conversation in his head and everything that had happened, and it did take him a moment to realize what was going on, but soon he figured out which why his eyes quickly widened and he stared at Roy, “No, no. You misunderstood. You’ve not saying anything inappropriate. And I did mean it when I said thank you. I really am thankful.” He explained quickly, but on purpose left out why he had turned away. How could he say it aloud? That he had felt happy and embarrassed? He hoped Roy would guess it on his own, but… well, it could be just that Nova was poisoning his thoughts again. He looked away and frowned a bit, “Don’t believe a single bad thing Nova says, alright? You know that he’s completely wrong. Most of the time is when it comes to me anyway…” This made him feel like a nagging wife, but he had to say it anyway.
In one thing Roy was right; he was really a bad liar. That had never been his strong points. Those rare times he had gotten into trouble as a kid his parents had right away seen through him and punished him. He definitely wouldn’t get pass a lying detector. But at least therefore he had learned to be honest, because he knew that if he lied no one would believe in him anyway. Yet now he had lied, not much though. “Tsch. A string of lovers? That would be you rather than anyone else. You’ve always had a harem of women after you.” Yuki smirked slightly, quickly glancing at Roy, but then turning back to look at the guests. Cute? Him? He had heard that so many times from Roy, but still it got him every time; that warm tingling feeling all over his body. Not to mention the hand that had been replaced upon his head now. It also made him feel happy, although it was also a big reminder about how short he was. Why was Roy so tall? This wasn’t fair. He had always wanted to grow tall too, but his parents did carry such gene, so here he was, the size of a fire extinguisher almost (well maybe that was a bit exaggerative). “And you know well that I don’t fall for people that easily.” Yes, had it been real love with Takumi? That he couldn’t be sure of, but it had always been real with Roy. “Yuck, why all mushy-mushy again. I bet Nova’s dying and feeling like throwing up too.” He heard his dear twin mention which brought a smile upon Yuki’s face and without meaning to he spoke his reply out aloud, “That’s why you two would be perfect for each other.” After a couple of seconds he realized his mistakes and quickly slapped his finger tips upon his lips and once again glanced at Roy quickly. “I’m sorry, that was for Yuji.” Luckily it was just Roy who would definitely understand him. He hoped so anyway. He shook his head at his own stupidity while he heard Yuji snorting slightly, although the demon twin was still surely a bit upset at him for what he said.
It would be a lie if Yuki said that he didn’t feel disappointed about Roy removing his hand from top of his head, but there was no way he would just take Roy’s hand and place it back where it was a moment ago. Who knows what the Sournois male would think then? Oh dear, that would be embarrassing. He wouldn’t let that happen. All the other people would probably turn to stare at them too, but that wasn’t as bad as finding out what Roy’s reaction to that would be. Yes, pass that thought. At least he was able to remember that feeling for awhile and that already made him feel happy.
"Well, of course I've wanted you back, Yuu-chan. Been missing you ever since things got messed up and you left, ages ago,"
That brought a smile upon the young Asian’s lips and he looked directly into Roy’s eyes. “I’ve missed you too… this whole time.” He spoke, but it was barely a whisper, hoping that only Roy could hear it and no one else. Ah, it was difficult to say such things aloud, but he had to. He had never been good at talking about his feelings and as far as he knew neither had Roy, so it meant a lot to the Rouerie that Roy was speaking up now. It didn’t happen often after all. That also meant that the other male was being sincere about his feelings and thoughts. “Yes, that’s all in the past.” Yuki agreed completely and nodded slightly, but barely able to reply even that much when Roy already wrapped his arms around him and held him tightly, surprising the Rouerie, but in a good way of course. Without second thoughts he closed his eyes, burying his face against Roy’s chest and, of course, hugging him back just as tightly. He could hear his heart beat which made him feel calm and safe, although his own heart was racing quite fast at that moment. Normally even just a hug would make him feel embarrassed, but right now he couldn’t care less who saw them as long as the two could just stay like that for awhile.
That’s when Roy mentioned the scholarship again which why Yuki re-opened his eyes and turned to look up at the tall young man for a moment before shaking his head a bit. “It’s all good. I’ll figure things out, I always do. You don’t have to worry about it, ok?” and without really realizing it turning to look down at the other male’s black shirt’s collar and straightening it gently and taking off a single dog hair of it with his right hand. He felt happier than what he had felt in… ages. Well, ever since they broke up. He wouldn’t let anything ruin this. “Should we toast for this, hey?” He looked at Roy again with soft smile lighting up his face. This was good. It was perfect. This time neither Nova nor Yuji would be able to destroy them.

Yuki looked rather bewildered after Roy apologized, which made him feel slightly baffled too. Wasn't it one of those times to say sorry after he said something wrong? Damn, he did rather feel like a child who didn't know any manners now, but... Before he could complete that thought, Yuki set about correcting him. "Oh, well then..." he started, feeling slightly embarrassed for blurting such weird stuff out. But then again, that was just like him, sometimes he really tended to dive into a situation without a moments thought beforehand. Sometimes though that wasn't too much of a bad thing; thinking too much and hesitating sometimes lead to bad things as well. And he tended to sadly think too much these days. "Well you are welcome then!" he suddenly said loudly, puffing his chest out as his voice apparently boomed across the room, making more than a few heads turn. Roy didn't especially care though, if there was anything he lacked it was modesty, and he more than reveled people turning to glance in his direction, no matter whether it was an odd situation or not. "Hmm?" he glanced back down at Yuki after he got that one thing out of his system, and blinked. Nova? Oh right, him. "Not likely!" Nova spat out, bubbling right to the surface like an overflowing cauldron and glared ferociously at the young boy in front of him. "As everyone around here already knows, Mustang is nothing without meee~ And I'll crush anyone who believes otherwise. So don't put such weak thoughts into his head, boy." After a moment of silence it was clear that the demon was once again gone, but Roy felt unable to speak. Generally he was rather stunned by his outburst. What was he? A drill commander of the Underworld? "You never know..." the creature whispered darkly in response to that stray thought. Oh great, another burst of craziness to make his day. But then, how could he ever be surprised by that? His life consisted of one crazy day after another and had done so for years. At least with Yuki things sort of seemed normal - sort of. They would have been more so if Yuji or Nova weren't around to eavesdrop and give unwanted comments; but that wasn't about to happen anytime soon, both of them knew that much. "Damn that's annoying..." he grumbled, raising a fist and tapping his own head lightly with it. He would have done it harder but he didn't want Yuki to start looking at him as if he was losing it. But then again, at this point he'd already lost half of the marbles he possessed. "You're right though, of course, listening to voices in your head can be kind of damaging, you should take your words into account," he decided upon saying, giving the young boy he was addressing a slight smirk. He knew very well that Yuji was just as bad as Nova in the same regard. It was a shame that there'd always be so much conflict between the four of them despite all of the warring feelings going on. And then he had an idea. "We should let Yuji and Nova talk it out sometime, I'm sure they haven't done it in a while and it might stop them bothering us on some level, maybe." He didn't know what brought that suggestion on, but he felt Nova growling and bouncing around in his head like an overactive chipmunk, so obviously something he said had some sort of effect. Wait, what- Did he just hear correctly? A harem? Roy tried his best not to look as if he was contemplating the idea, and instead laughed. "A harem, not in the slightest, Yuki," he replied, giving a small chuckle. "And even if there were more than one female around, the lack of mini-skirts was hugely disappointing." Mind you, there was one before he even met Yuki who seemed perfectly willing, though he'd actually only met her once before she vanished. Overall though, nope, no harem for him. "However, you probably wore one enough for a dozen girls, or if you hadn't you soon will~" Good lord, was he really saying that? Sadly, he felt no shame from the words that were popping out of his mouth. Somehow despite the beginning of the party he was becoming more relaxed, and with that came his typical arrogance and his inhibition when it came to his choice of words. He moved his hand slightly over the top of the other boy's head, enjoying the layers of dark hair under his fingers, and then smiled at him. "Well, I'm not so sure. People come and go and fall in love all over again, and it's been ages since we've come together like this, it would hardly be surprising if you loved someone else." Of course he'd be lying if he said such a thing didn't bother him and the thought of it would probably gnaw at him later, but he had to at least let the other boy believe that he'd be entirely forgiving when it came to things in the past, even if it wasn't exactly true. That was what love was after all, telling little white lies and stuff in order to preserve the peace and avoid conflict. It took ages to realize that but he knew better now. After a moment's pause Yuki spoke again, though this time it didn't sound like he was directing his words at him, It did seem to be rather interesting though, and even Nova felt curious when it came to wondering what Yuki and his brother Yuji were talking about. "I know," he nodded understandably as he shifted his position next to the table, blue eyes decisively focusing fully on the Rouerie boy as he dived into the next part of the conversation, one in which even the two party poopers wouldn't intrude on if they valued their lives, or that applied to Nova at the very least. Roy did after all have a firey temper that not even the demon wanted to bump heads with most of the time. Roy took a deep breath as he listened to Yuki, trying not to make it look like a sigh and generally just something to pull his nerves together. Both of them knew very, very well how hard it was for Roy to get emotional stuff. It was pretty much like trying to get blood from a stone. All he knew was either to be a charmer or a pervert, things more than that... took a lot to get used to, and despite knowing Yuki for ages before coming across him again, as happy as he was he was still processing it all. "Right," he agreed, feeling Yuki hug him back lightly as well as putting his head against his chest. It was a strange feeling, Yuki wasn't that small, but he was rather thin... it was like hugging a small little bird - that (of course) brought a slight smile to his face again. “It’s all good. I’ll figure things out, I always do. You don’t have to worry about it, ok?”Roy bobbed his head quickly to acknowledge that. It was hard to disguise his relief at the response but he managed it relatively well. He wasn't too sure what he'd do if Yuki went away again after a reunion that seemed as heart wrenching as this one. "Ah!" He actually seemed slightly shocked about Yuki removing a dog hair from his collar, though he really shouldn't have been. His dog Black Hayate had been bouncing and slobbering over him - to Nova's inane disgust - just before he attended the party, so it was hardly surprising that there'd be a hair or two on his clothes. Roy himself loved dogs though, so despite the demon and the mess Hayate made, he wasn't willing to give him up. Yuki brought him out of his dog related thoughts though by proposing a toast, which made Roy smirk and reach for his bottle (which sadly contained no alcohol). "Okay! To us and the future, right, Yuu-chan!" he said loudly as he raised the bottle to chest level and towards the other boy. Should he have poured in in a glass first? Toasts were usually made with glasses, not bottles. Well, he decided to wait to see if Yuki told him otherwise, like the typical guy he was just waiting to be scolded by his other half.[/blockquote]
