Okay, sorry for the double post, but I had this idea the other day: are any of the people in this thread mods? Or anyone that reads this thread mods for particular boards? I did a quick sweep of the boards I'm a mod of and archived some stuff. I was only thinking of this because we were talking about this place just needing a tidy up, this is maybe a place to start while we wait for the big boss staffers to come back?

There's probably a crap load of threads still dates back to over a year ago... some older than others *coughs at the 2012 valantines day thread* yeahh... we'll probably need to get rid of those and make some newer ones instead~ more plotting! yesssssss! *rambling*

Edit - oh, we also need to do an activity check. the board is too cluttered with inactive people

Always with the pimping, jeez! :3 Yeah, some of the threads in the boards I'm mod on weren't that old, but I was real compulsive about it when I was super active around here. I think the site just generally needs a little TLC.

i know of a few themes that are already premade that could fit the motm, cotm, etc along with a few other things like information and stuff. :3 and there are two colors we can pick from too! so at least we have a premade theme where we can start learning the code? :x

As has been said before: it's not just about knowing how to code. If we don't have the permissions, unfortunately, we can't change anything major.

Though I'm quite guilty of not being very active myself on here, I do think revamping is a great idea. I would be more than happy to provide all the help possible when/if we're able to make those changes. BB is the only HP board I truly enjoy and I also think it just needs a little care and attention. Hopefully we'll be able to make the changes we need to soon.

A small, but probably dumb question, has anyone heard from MM at all? :/

I definitely agree with this (: Though last time I heard from her was 7th September in 2013 when she private messaged me about something, but since then i haven't heard from her at all. But checking her profile, it says she was last on on the 26th October 2014 so she definitely hasn't been that active lately ;/

It sounds like not many folks have heard from MM, but I think Tzar was on more recently - correct me if I'm wrong. We'll have to see if any more ideas roll around in this thread before we start asking Proboards for help on the matter, as they don't just reset things with no good cause. I think we do what we can with the resources we presently have, and see what happens from there?

I think she was, yeah but not since then. Well what's something we can do first? Maybe put forth a little advertising to bring some people in? Maybe visit some of the sites that have been posting the advert section?

Yeah, could do! I suggest scouting for HP sites primarily... But then again, I've got a rather eclectic range of sites that I'm on... I'd definitely say we need to archive some threads between us though, and see if we can get some more active stuff posted RP wise about the site. I think the most difficult thing is people posting in the sorting thread, and then the house points are for a different term and a few other bits and pieces...

I agree. I can start trying to advertise the site on other HP sites once I find a few. New posts is a great idea as well and I can certainly start posting a few in the upcoming days. I know a few people have kept a couple or so threads going the last few weeks so yay! As for the sorting thing, I don't really know what can be done unless someone else has access to the sorting cloak account or something. And considering it's been pretty inactive here for quite a while maybe we should start a new term completely from scratch? The points and stuff would be kinda wonky/difficult otherwise.

I think the sorting stuff is something we can pursue further into whether or not the big staffers will be coming back soon. I think it would make a lot of sense to start a new term afresh once we start rolling through everything.

We also cannot sort people without the admin so bringing in new people wouldn't work. We do not have access to the sorting hat account nor can we change member groups.
